Science: life, death, and a ‘third state’

Scientists discover a ‘third state’ between life and death
From bon vivant to living corpse and in between?
Scientists have discovered a "third state" between life and death that is neither alive nor quite dead. Not alive, not dead? There is a third state.

It sounds spooky, but it’s the future of medicine. More specifically, this "third state" is when the cells of an organism adopt new functions even after "death."
  • Based on Tibetan Book of Dead
In Vajrayana Buddhism, there is an "intermediate" state between life and rebirth during the time we call "death." But beings, from their perspective, do not die. They go on. They are alive then, seeming to die, they continue. Thereafter, during a period said to be 40 days, they are reborn. Of course, looked at more closely, they are alive the whole time. At the instant of passing on from this state, one reappears elsewhere in the very next moment. Leaving one state is called "death" by others in that state, but for the being undergoing the change, things did not end. Support for life in that state was cut off and, therefore, the being reappeared elsewhere. The scary thing, then, is not that we will pass away. It is that we will be reborn without certainty of where and how. It has much to do with the last conscious moment conditioning the next, which determines the rebirth. For beings who have won the first stage of enlightenment, many bad rebirth destinations have been eliminated. One cannot be reborn in a state below the human plane. But all other beings can be reborn in those unfortunate destinations, in worlds of profound suffering like the animal realm and lower. In the meantime, between lives, beings are living with a more subtle body in the angelic (deva) or ghost (peta) realm for the transition to another life in accordance with one's store of karma (past deeds of all kinds). The Bardo Thodol or "Tibetan Book of the Dead" is for the hearing of a Vajrayana Buddhist during the transition between lives to guide one to a successful rebirth.
Peaceful and wrathful Bardo beings
Or in other words, the cells are functioning, but the being is dead. And this spooky phenomenon is revolutionizing synthetic biology as, usually, death is considered to be irreversible.

But with this new discovery by science of a "third state," different cells from a range of organisms can be repurposed into biological "robots." But what can they do?

The science
In a review published in the journal Physiology, researchers are contemplating the implications of taking cells from organisms (dead or alive) and turning them into biological robots that have new functions.

For example, researchers have managed to successfully create tiny "robots" from human cells which could be used to heal wounds, regenerate tissue, and treat diseases. These are known as anthrobots.

In another instance, researchers from Tufts University in Massachusetts have also created xenobots from the cells of already dead frogs. The cells, despite coming from a dead organism, can self-replicate and perform simple tasks. More

Vril Oracle Maria Orsic (Orsitsch)

Mart Sander, 4/6/15; Amber Larson, Pfc. Sandoval, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Maria Orsic: The Goddess of the Devil: Hitler's Medium
(Mart Sander) There were occult sources of secret Nazi super-science. The Goddess of the Devil is a historical novel by Mart Sander about a real-life figure with a turbulent life, one of the most obscure yet fascinating women of [Austria who moved to Germany to offer information downloaded from Aldebaran, another star system, to] the Third Reich.

She was the strikingly beautiful medium Maria Orsic (aka Orsitsch), pictured on the cover of the book. The Nazi Party, which has become synonymous with all things evil, had its roots deep in occult societies.

One of these -- the Thule Society -- was solely responsible for discovering and promoting Adolf Hitler, molding him from a shy, disillusioned artist and former military man into a ruthless leader.

The Thule Society had a subdivision for women: the Vril Society. This group of young women, actively practicing alternative sciences/occult arts, was led by Viennese-born Maria Orsic.

A remarkably beautiful woman [for her time, one might even say a supermodel by today's higher standards of Western beauty] with lush long hair, as was the trademark of the ladies of Vril, she was instrumental in instigating research into alternative science, actively pursued by the Nazis, which led to Germany’s unrivalled superiority in nuclear and space research.

Was everyone closely associated with Hitler and influencing him automatically evil? Was the stunning medium Maria Orsic a scheming adventuress -- or a sensitive woman burdened with extraordinary psychic powers and a vivid imagination, who found herself involuntarily in the center of the power-play of the Nazi Party, the SS, cutting edge science and international spy rings?
  • [She once presented a diagram of a working vimana or spaceship/flying saucer, written in Sumerian, to a linguist associated with the Nazi Party, who recognized it and understood that this young beauty could in no way have hoaxed it in this unknown language, of which he was an expert that could barely make it out. She did not know what she had written, as she had downloaded it -- through the "antenna" of her long hair -- from concerned otherworldly beings offering free energy to Earth to ease their plight of exhausting limited carbon fuel supplies and to receive a visit from the Vril women on their planet, somewhere in the star system of Aldebaran.]
How does it happen that talented idealists can lead a nation to insanity [as happens now in the insane warlike ambitions of the USA as happened before in Britain and Germany?]

These and other challenging questions are addressed in following Maria Orsic’s tumultuous career in this novel, covering a span of nearly forty of the most explosive years in world history, including two world wars culminating in the birth of a new era of [Western] superweapons and superpowers [because the USA invited Nazi scientists to move to the USA and practice their evil arts and sciences here].

Comedy: To hate mainstream candidates (video)

Editors, Wisdom Quarterly; Susan Sarandon; Alec Baldwin, Kate McKinnon, Michael Che (SNL)

Love them all, Big Budai says.
Tax cheat Donald J. Trump clearly won the first debate, if only because candidate Clinton was so incredibly FAKE trying to avoid being shrill, dishonest, and unlikable. One has to hand it to her not to crack the veneer of her painted face. Way to go, #NeverHillary. The nation is sick and fed up with these idiots, being corralled and running in fear in whichever direction the mainstream media says to run.

"Trump is a menace, a madman, so run to Hillary, a decrepit, sickly old blowhard dying of Parkinson's with failing clones that can hardly prop her up in front of the spotlight." She won't do interviews or press conferences to be asked anything, so how is she going to fake running the country? Blech. SNL to the rescue!

Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) and Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon) face off in the first presidential debate, moderated by Lester Holt (Michael Che).

Voting the 'lesser of two evils' is a lie (comedy)

What is the "machine"? It is the war machine of the USA's single-party system duopoly.
WARNING: Harsh language in context like Jon Stewart on the Daily Show but without beeps.
(Acronym TV) Pres. candidate Jill Stein on Bernie Sanders and false "Lesser Evil" argument.

In this episode of Redacted Tonight, Lee Camp explains how the mainstream “liberal” pressure and shaming of free-thinkers to succumb to “voting for the lesser of two evils” is a sad and, ultimately, a doomed philosophy.

Camp also discusses how the Obama administration’s draconian treatment of whistleblowers has gotten to the point where it actually reflects the dystopian plot of the Joseph Heller novel, Catch-22.

TPP: "Trans-Pacific Partnership"
Finally, the mainstream media (MSM) is talking about the TPP: the massive 12-nation international trade deal that comprises nearly 40% of the world's commerce and is a huge giveaway to corporate interests at the expense of workers and environment. The news has finally caught on, but they won't say what TPP actually entails. The horse race between Hillary and Trump is more exciting than "NAFTA on steroids." Camp is joined by Redacted Tonight correspondents Naomi Karavani and John F. O'Donnell to discuss.

In light of the last officers involved in the Baltimore Police Department involved in the murder of Freddie Gray having all charges dropped, not because they're innocent but because the system is so corrupt and in favor of killer cops that no case is allowed to prevail, correspondent John F. O’Donnell discusses journalist Shaun King’s 25-part report on comprehensive, achievable solutions that will decrease police brutality in America.

Correspondent Naomi Karavani reveals the insanity of how extensively the U.S. is arming the entire world with weapons. She reveals how sick it is to say we’re peacekeepers when we’re arming all sides. This and more on Redacted Tonight.

Revolution: Will Bernie go Green? (Jill Stein)

Editors, Wisdom Quarterly; (salon.com, April 25, 2016); Dr. Jill Stein
What does your political revolution look like? (PeopleForBernie)

Hero Snowden (drjillstein)
Green Party presidential candidate invites Sanders to “cooperate on political revolution.”

"The Democratic machine has launched an unjust attack on your campaign," Stein writes to Bernie Sanders.

While Republican candidates are rushing to announce potential vice presidential running mates, one is openly courting the idea of a bipartisan unity ticket.

Vote social democracy (PFB)
Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party candidate for president, wrote an open letter to Sanders.

She is asking the Independent Vermont senator to consider ditching his attempt to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination for a real “revolution for people, planet and peace” alongside Stein.

Stein, who has long called on Sanders to join forces with her in the interest of their “shared goals,” wrote to Sanders over the weekend:

Can Bernie and Jill meet in the Green?
I invite you to join me in pushing the boundaries of that system to a place where revolution can truly take root.”

“You’ve proven that in today’s rapidly changing America, a populist progressive agenda covered by the media and the televised debates can catch on like wildfire and shake the foundations of a political establishment that seemed invulnerable just a few short months ago,” Stein wrote to Sanders.

She was asking if “in this wildly unpredictable election where the old rules are giving way one by one, can we think outside the box and find new and unexpected ways to synergize beyond obsolete partisan divides?”

Stein, who first ran for the White House in 2012, argues that despite its early successes, Sanders’ campaign has faltered as the “neoliberal Democratic machine mobilizes to quash revolution in its ranks”:

The Democratic machine has launched an unjust attack on your campaign -- from the NY Daily News hit job to Paul Krugman’s unfounded assault, the DNC’s efforts to minimize your debate exposure, and the near-unanimous endorsement of Clinton by Democratic elected officials and super-delegates. More

Look who's back: HITLER returns (video)

Carol Hills The World (pri.org, April 11, 2016); Seth Auberon, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly
Europe's "nanny states" make it harder to vape and drink (pri.org)

Yes, it's okay for modern Germans to laugh about Hitler. Here's why.

Germans have been laughing out loud about a Hitler film for a while, but now on Netflix it's available for the rest of us.

"Look Who's Back" (the German title is "Er Ist Wieder Da") is adapted from a bestselling satirical novel by German author Timur Vermes.

The conceit of the book is what would happen if Adolf Hitler returned to Germany 70 years after this death. How would he respond to the multicultural country that Germany has become?

(Netflix) For extended trailer with English subtitles, see below.

But when German director David Wnendt adapted it into a film, he turned the tables to focus on the German people.

"The book is completely fiction. You read it and it's just like an author's imagination. I had this idea that if you turned it into a film you could try out the main hypothesis of the book.

Actor Oliver Masucci as Adolf Hitler at a Berlin news kiosk realizing he's woken up in the 21st century multicultural Germany that is not what he struggled for (Constantin Film/pri.org).

I'm not laughing.
"The book is about Hitler coming back and how people react to him and whether he would have another chance today. And using documentary film means I would be able to really test that, really see actually how people would react?"

Before shooting the dramatic film, Wnendt took the actor who plays Hitler all over Germany. He was dressed as Hitler and in character to find what reaction he would get. The result is a mockumentary that makes you laugh and then it makes you feel uncomfortable that you're laughing. More

Better than Romney, WORSE than Bush (video)

Ashley Wells and Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly; (Posted Oct. 26, 2012) (Third-Party Presidential Debate 2012) Moderated by Larry King. Hosted by the Free and Equal Elections Foundation at the Chicago Hilton, it covers the economy, "war" on drugs, civil liberties, medical marijuana, education, foreign and domestic policy.
"Obama wins! Romney never had a chance," the headlines will read. All this "dead heat" nonsense will evaporate like Dole's chances against Mr. Hillary Clinton. B.S. Obama may not survive his unlucky stars, according to psychic-astrologer Sean David Morton, but barring that, Mitt Rmoney never had a chance. It's easy to call him an incompetent "idiot," as Jon Stewart does (below). But we suspect that when he makes his first billion, the Old Boys' Club (global elite) will let him in on the secret of why he never had a chance of "winning."

How can you "win" staged elections without The Producers being in on it? Those who decide the outcome do most of their work during the parties' primaries and selection process in the first place. If We The People had had our way, environmentalist and legacy-rancher Al Gore (whose wife Tipper wanted to censor music with PMRC) would have spared us all the horrors of Dicks Cheney and Bush, but who actually runs this world?

How could our beloved leader, our Commander and Chief, the future emperor of the world be any worse than his predecessor George W. Bush? Revolutionary commentator Bob Avakian, an actual socialist/communist, explains in detail.

Innocent child asks Mr. Cool: "Why do people hate you?"

Why, why not Ron Paul for president? (video)

SoCalKing421; PFC Sandoval, Pat Macpherson (Wisdom Quarterly)

VIDEO: Jon Stewart's full interview with Ron Paul in 2011

I'm not on the right wing, not for the [Koch AstroTurf] Tea Party, but I like Congressman Ron Paul. He would make a good president in 2012.

When the Occupy Movement began on Wall Street, it was mostly young guys, Ron Paul supporters upset about the Fed.

Religion can be a problem by putting people to sleep. But is atheism the answer? OK, the Church is corrupt, but the people are good. Money is good. The [bankers'] love of money is the root of all evil.

I believe in personal choice for private and social issues. Fiscal, economic, and defense [OK, war] issues are a different.

BANNED AD: What capitalist China will say if we fail to elect Paul

Right-wing Gingrich is a fraud. Soft Republican Romney is a sellout, just like moderate [war-loving] Obama, who has gotten more money from Wall Street than any candidate in history. The only liberals or authentic left-wing voices [Dennis Kucinich, Ralph Nader] are not running. Jon Stewart has to give it to Ron Paul.

So let's listen to libertarian Ron Paul a chance. I cannot support everything he says, does, or stands for. But on the economy, he is right on.

"Buddha Nature" revealed by Drug?

Alex Grey discusses his direct experience with a mind expanding, shamanic substance. The drug (an entheogen) in question is the sacramental Ayahuasca -- an Amazon tea brewed from a jungle vine and tree bark.

More than psychedelic and/or hallucinogenic properties, the molecule of consciousness (DMT) it contains is said to have the ability (like ancient manna, soma, amrita, and the divine or immortal nectar) to put one in communication with otherwise unseen beings. Grey claims its effects are those spoken of in Buddhist meditation and enlightenment.

Its serotonergic effects are indeed analogous to those of Prozac and other synthetic pharmaceuticals aimed at rebalancing brain chemistry -- without the toxic side effects of consuming fluoride and other excipients.
