Declassified CIA documents claim that the mystical "Ark of the Covenant" was located by a psychic decades ago in the geopolitical Middle East as part of one of The Company's (the Central Intelligence Agency’s) experimental, secret projects in the 1980s.

The Ark of the Covenant was thrust back into the spotlight as globetrotting archaeologist Indiana Jones attempted to uncover the artifact in Steven Spielberg’s 1981 Oscar-winning Raiders of the Lost Ark [of the Covenant].

According to Jewish and Christian tradition, the gold-plated wooden chest housed the two tablets bearing the Ten Commandments, which the God Yahweh (Jehovah, the false deity known as the Demiurge by the ancient Gnostics), in later Christian theology, gave to someone allegedly named Moses between the 13th and 16th centuries BC.

The CIA conducted experiments as part of the secret Project Sun Streak with individuals known as “remote viewers,” a class of government-trained and authenticated clairvoyants, who have demonstrated that with practice they can project their awareness (expand their conscious ability) to receive information about faraway objects.

There is abundant CIA experience and evidence (but no credible public scientific confirmation) that remote viewing is really able to do what remote viewers know it can do. Those not read into projects generally regard it as pseudoscience until public peer-reviewed research by gatekeepers in academe allow the public to believe in it.

There be some weird dragons.

Learning that the bible describes creatures that sound an awful [lot] like Dinosaurs was wild in my early Christians years.

And now, reading the accounts of Genesis and the Flood, and comparing to what science explains happened in history; the flood sounds an awful [lot] like the breakup of the supercontinent [Pangaea] scientists talk about.

When the Bible says Water busting from the Deep in chapter 7 of Genesis; sounds an awful like a breakup of land to me.

Oh, those darn "acts of God"! The owners of the Williamstown, Kentucky creationist theme park, Ark Encounter -- home to a 510 foot long model of the biblical Noah's Ark -- are suing their insurance carriers for not covering US $1 million in damages caused by heavy rain. From Lex18:

According to the suit, heavy rains caused a landslide and some structural support damage near the Ark exhibit.

“Subsequent to heavy rains, a significant landslide occurred along portions of the slope, which eliminated the structural support for the roadway, caused significant damage to the road surface itself and the incorporated improvements, and rendered portions of the road unsafe and unfit for use,” reads the suit...

Initially, the suit alleges, the defendants cited faulty craftsmanship as the reason for the property damage and stated they were not liable. After an appeal, they conceded that only a small amount was covered by the policy.

The Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) is a railway tunnel in the heart of the Swiss Alps expected to open in 2016.

With a route length of 57 km (35.4 mi) and a total of 151.84 km (94.3 mi) of tunnels, shafts, and passages, it surpasses the Seikan Tunnel in Japan [but pales in comparison to the much longer secret high speed rail tunnels under the US].

The project has two single-track tunnels as part of the AlpTransit project, aka the New Railway Link through the Alps (NRLA), which includes the Lötschberg Base Tunnel between Bern and Valais and the Ceneri Base Tunnel (scheduled to open in 2019).

It bypasses the Gotthardbahn, a winding mountain route opened in 1882 across the Saint-Gotthard Massif. The total cost of the project is 9.8 billion Swiss francs (US $10.3 billion).

The current timetable is to embark on the expedition in August 2009, traveling to the Arctic region aboard a nuclear powered icebreaker. A helicopter and ship stored in the icebreaker will be used to advance scout for the opening reported in the gradual curvature of the crust, he detailed.

Agnew said ancient Mesoamericans described visits from the "Shining Ones" (the literal translation of Buddhist devas) -- possible ETs, who may have imparted knowledge of astronomy, architecture, and agricultural practices.
