Mickey Mouse Day 2025 (Disney World)

OC is a Tragic Kingdom, right, Gwennie?
Like most of us around here, Gwen Stefani (who long since sold out) and her ska-punk band No Doubt grew up near the original Disneyland (in Anaheim, California). To us it was much more a Tragic Kingdom than a magic one, all Hollywood and transparently capitalist, feeding girls fantasies that a rich prince on a white stallion was on his way any minute now if we just kept our heads down and played our assigned roles, never questioning gender norms and expectations, inherent sexism, and a system of patriarchy that ruined life for 51%+ of the world. Gwen played her role to fame and fortune, but at one time she helped write "Just a Girl" in subtle protest. OC/LA punks love-hated Mickey Mouse, Disney propaganda films, and the kingdom.

  • Was beloved American Walt Disney a well-known antisemite? Production manager Harry Tytle, and head of merchandising Kay Kamen, once quipped that Disney's New York office had "more Jews than The Book of Leviticus" [209]. Wikipedia editors (many of them being trained Zionist propagandists) will write anything to dissociate Walt from his Hitler fandom.

Inside Epstein's sex book and island

You're my best pal, Jeff! - I know, Don
Jeffrey, can I bring my wife Hillary to watch? She likes the ladies as much as I do. - Yeah, Bill.

I made it onto Epstein's Pedophile Island

Wait, it's inside the CIA-Mossad's USA?
Little Saint James, U.S. Virgin Islands
: "The Lolita Express" flew U.S. presidents and other powerbrokers (British royalty, bankers, Israeli officials, the rich and famous) to Epstein's "Pedophile Island." It is a small private island in the United States Virgin Islands, southeast of Saint Thomas. It was owned [and is still lived on] by American financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from 1998 until his [faked] death in 2019 [1][2]. Due to Epstein's years of ownership, [blackmail funding], and especially its use as a base of operations for child sex trafficking, videotaping, and extortion of the rich and powerful of the world caught in this "honey trap," the island is most often nicknamed "Pedophile Island." The Dalai Lama's 90th birthday (live)

China won't get rid of me so easily. Right, CIA?

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning spiritual head of one school (Yellow Hats) of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism says he plans to reincarnate yet again after his death, ending years of speculation that he might be the last incarnation to hold the role. Succession? Dalai Lama turns 90 Sunday

I'll be back. I'll return. And it won't be like Saint Issa who said he would have second coming.
(Al Jazeera) How will the next (15th) Dalai Lama be chosen, who could it be? Will he return?

He may return as a "hot" female as he has said.
Who is the Dalai Lama? He turns 90 next Sunday, on July 6th, 2025. Only John Oliver (Last Week Tonight) has been able to get to the bottom of it. Why do Americans and most of the world (other than China) love him? He got to the bottom of that. The Dalai Lama is the alleged 14th reincarnation (rebirth) of a transformed Vedic Hindu deity named Avalokiteshvara (manifesting as the female deity Chenrezig, Guanyin, Kwannon, Kwan Yin). It's not that there have been 13 previous Dalai Lamas so much as the same one coming back, but not a Buddhist messiah figure. That messiah is Maitreya, the Buddha of the future.

Past life memories are not so unusual. We can remember

How will the next Dalai Lama be chosen – and who could it be?
(Al Jazeera English) July 2, 2025: The Dalai Lama has told followers that the role, that he embodies, will continue after his death. In a video message to a religious gathering in northern India he added that the search for a future Dalai Lama would be carried out in accordance with tradition. That's at odds with China's assertion it should choose the next Dalai Lama. Tibetan Buddhists believe the Dalai Lama is reincarnated into the body of a child. Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports on the succession process. Tibetan writer and activist Tenzin Tsundue says the Dalai Lama's statement cuts China out of the process to choose a successor.

I am the king, the unchallenged king...
Hey, Everybody, come to my party, I mean, the U.S. military's 100 million dollar party with tanks tearing up the street! It's turning 250, older than my country. Yeah, MY country, not your country no more.

I'm turning 79 and it's about time I start telling the truth. You can dance and you can cheer and you can buy my branded memorabilia. But you better not try to protest or disrupt my festivities, I mean my military festivities. And no Anti-Jew things, we're at war right now.
I hope my BFF Elon Musk brings his tanks.
Go do your King Day celebratings somewheres else, not in MY town DC. Why do they call it DC? Is it not in Columbia, the original name of America?  I'dunno. That's where my throne is, where I rules from. I replaced the porcelain with pure gold for my bottom, that's MY throne. I wish Melania could see it. Where is she? Anyways, it's gonna be alotta fun. See you alls there!!

Saturday is a NATIONAL day of action and mass mobilization
Maybe courts and lawyers will save us?
This in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption in Washington, DC, including King Trump's birthday military parade, celebrating a wasteful (homegrown British-style) imperial military older than the country. We are protesting crackdowns on free speech and assembly of people for their political views, threatening to deport American citizens and corrupt the courts.

Adult Study, Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 10:00 am: Defending our democracy in trying times
Orwell's 1984 graphic novel
What threats to our democracy are we seeing? What can we do individually and as a Meeting of Friends to support people and institutions that are under attack -- immigrants, LGBTQIA+ community, federal workers, university students and staff, our legal system, scientific and medical research, and so on? Prof. Manousos will facilitate a discussion and share a Quaker perspective on being a prophetic witness during these trying times.

It Can't Happen Here
It Can’t Happen Here
Once upon a time, Sinclair Lewis wrote a book, a dystopian fantasy. No one believed it, except maybe novelist George Orwell, who by 1948 had the manuscript for a book he would call 1984. (He didn't think such a time was too far off, so he flipped 48 to 84). By 1984, it was already true, only most Americans and Brits hadn't noticed. The predictions were eerie and in practice all around us. It's only gotten worse since then.

“The novel that foreshadowed Donald Trump’s authoritarian appeal.”
— Salon
It Can’t Happen Here is Sinclair Lewis’s cautionary tale about the fragility of democracy, an alarming, eerily timeless look at how fascism could take hold in America.

Sit home. What has protesting ever accomplished?
Written during the Great Depression, when the country was largely oblivious to Mr. Hitler’s aggression, it juxtaposes sharp political satire with the chillingly realistic rise of a president who becomes a dictator to save the nation from welfare cheats, sex, crime, and a liberal press.

Called “a message to thinking Americans” by the Springfield Republican when it was published in 1935, It Can’t Happen Here is a shockingly prescient novel that remains as fresh and contemporary as today’s news. More
