Jewish man stabbed near Central Park

(Let's Be Clear with Ana Kasparian) Bibi Netanyahu declares shocking new demands of Gaza

(NBC News) Stabbings near New York City's Central Park

Who stabbed this person? Revenge!
A member of the richest group in the United States, the Jewish community, has been stabbed near Central Park in a possible hate crime. An Asian man was stabbed by the same suspect, now apprehended, but that's not important. A Jew was harmed, terrifying the community of Jews in the USA, who number not quite a million of the 341 million. But demographers, Mossad intelligence, CIA cubicle workers, and pricey PR firms are trying to find ways to fluff that number as much as possible by including any and every one that could possibly be the slightest bit related to the group. While there are no recruitment or religious conversion plans afoot to get people to join this exclusive and insular group, the public numbers will be managed to obscure their miniscule size as percentage of the population and disproportionate representation in politics, university admissions and faculty positions, high finance, Hollywood and the entertainment arts, as well as those surrounding and connected to accused and convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Donald Trump.

Thousands demonstrate to save Kyiv

Demographics the most important thing

The USA has about 4% of the world's population, yet it is the third most populous country in the world. It is only smaller than India and China.

It is also the most populous nation in the Americas (and there are lots of Americas up and down the continent from South to Central to Meso to North and beyond all the way to the Pole. The USA also has the largest population in the Western Hemisphere.

The estimated population of the USA is 341,784,857 (three hundred and forty-two million in round numbers) as of July 1, 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau [1].

The country's population grew by 1.8 million (0.5%) between 2024 and 2025, due to a decline in net international migration [3]. The previous year, the Census Bureau had reported a population increase of 0.98% between 2023 and 2024 [26], near the global population growth rate of 1.03% [27].

These figures include the 50 states and the federal capital, Washington, [which is actually a district of another country that preceded the official establishment of the USA, a place called Columbia, thus earning this special exclusion zone its own kind of Holy See status and the name "D.C."].

This number excludes the 3.6 million residents of five unincorporated U.S. territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands) as well as several minor uninhabited island possessions.

By several metrics, including racial and ethnic background, religious affiliation, and percentage of rural and urban divide, the state of Illinois is the most representative of the larger demography of the United States [28].

The population of the USA almost quadrupled during the 20th century, with an average growth rate of about 1.3% a year, from about 76 million in 1900 to 281 million in 2000 [29]. It is estimated to have reached the 200 million mark in 1967, and the 300 million mark on October 17, 2006 [29, 30].

Foreign-born immigration caused the U.S. population to continue its rapid increase, with this population doubling from almost 20 million in 1990 to over 45 million in 2015 [31], representing one-third of the population increase [32]. More

Arroyo Secodelic Fest, Open Mic Poetry LA

Welcome to the first unofficial day of summer, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day in LA

How can I start to awaken in a big city?
What is a psychedelic? It is a "mind manifesting" compound, like an entheogen that brings out the divine from within. What is an Arroyo Seco? It is a dry river bed. What is an Arroyo Secodelic?

ARROYO SECODELIC FESTIVAL (arroyosecodelic.com) May 22–25, 2026: Highland Park, Los Angeles, all ages with 60+ bands across six walkable venues along famous Figueroa Street with FREE and paid admission shows. See arroyosecodelic.com for details. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Memorial Day weekend). Tickets are available as 4-Day Passes to all shows in all venues. See individual schedule for full lineup by day, appearing mostly at the Lodge Room, De La Playa Records, Oblivion Indoor, and Highland Park Ebell, all orbiting Kinship Yoga on Fig.
WHAT HAPPENED?

One day ASF may bet as big as Brokecella
KXLU and KCRW were on top of it. In addition to a mixed bag of indie artists, there were three or four punk giants: FEAR, Adolescents, Alice Bag (now Juanita), and Mike Watt (now without Minutemen)...what, no Exene Cervenka's X? But exciting acts like Death Valley Girls, Cameron Romance, and the Silverados were on hand to keep things lively. Now it's Monday, aka Bad Memory Day, and everyone is converging on the Lodge to catch Adolescents on a rare foray beyond the Orange Curtain to Competition City L.A. Why?

Highland Park is rock 'n roll paradise. Arroyo Secodelic Festival is a 4-day music fest in Highland Park, May 22-25, 2026, featuring a frenetic and fuzzy array of rock 'n roll artists spanning generations — including three of Southern California's finest first wave punk bands: Lee Ving's FEAR, OC royalty Adolescents, and pioneering punk bassist Mike Watt as well as San Francisco power pop icons Flamin' Groovies and LA rockers Strawberry Fuzz, Levitation Room, The Warlocks, and Death Valley Girls.

What's the big deal about these punks?
  • Forget "Amoeba." WELCOME TO REALITY: Blood so deep the horse must hold his head up high/ In the valley of decision one third of the world will die/ Beat your hoes and plows into axes and spears/ As the armies meet in a battle they predicted for years// (CHORUS) Let the weak say I'm a warrior/ Bring down the warriors/ Let the faithless regain faith/ Your faith is hopeless// The prophets and the psychics and the military agree/ Continual crisis leads us straight to World War III/ Roll out the red carpet let the Angel of Death ride in/ To the valley of decision let the mayhem begin// (CHORUS)// Apocalyptic madness two thirds of the world in sadness/ The other third is gone but sadness lingers on/ Crumbled cities and an aftermath of hate/ No way to stop them 'cause now its too late/ The Antichrist's mission's done/ The dead are the only lucky ones/ Are you ready?/ The picture's painted/ For the valley - the scene is set/ Of decision - make your decision/ For the valley it's too late/ Welcome welcome to reality/ Welcome welcome to reality/ Make a decision cause you've got no choice
The Festival takes place across multiple venues on Figueroa St. and beyond — The Lodge Room, Oblivion, Highland Park Ebell, Cheerio Collective, De La Playa Records, Blind Barber, North Figueroa Books, and a few pop ups and buskers. All Arroyo Secodelic shows are ALL AGES.

Bear Awareness: Questions and Answers on Taming Your Wild Mind

Bear Awareness: Taming Mind
British Buddhist monk Ajahn Brahm (trained in the Thai Forest Tradition and abbot of Buddhist Society of Western Australia) has 4.6 out of 5 stars (with 85 reviews) for this book.

He is the bestselling author of Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung? and one of the world’s most beloved Theravada Buddhist monks because of his sense of humor.

In Bear Awareness, Ajahn Brahm answers meditators’ questions, actual questions from students of meditation––questions readers may have wondered about as well.

Hi, y'all! Feed your head like Grace says.
While most sati or mindfulness meditation teachers praise the benefits of "bare awareness," Ajahn Brahm teaches bear awareness.

He helps us make friends with the scary things that come up on the cushion, and he shows how to lift the mood with a well-placed stuffed teddy or a well-timed pun.

The intimacy of the question-and-answer format provides a fresh experience of learning from a Western master meditator who studied with the awakened Thai master Ajahn Chah.

Author: British Abbot Ajahn Brahm (BSWA)
Whether he is urging readers to fly Buddha Air (as we sit back and relax on our way to nirvana), giving tips for dealing with panic attacks or depression, or extolling the bliss (piti) of meditation that is better than sex, he gives us permission to enjoy our lives and our practice. More

Halloween Horror Nights 2025 begin

Ghosts are more subtle than human bodies.
(NBCLA) Take a peek at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, an amusement park where many scary things were once filmed for the big studio system.

It's that time of year again when The Veil is thin between the worlds/dimensions and the dead mingle with the living. What we call the Halloween season is Obon in Buddhist Japan, Samhain in Celtic Ireland, and Dia de Los Muertos in Mexico and Latin America.

These ancient beliefs and customs are linked to some reality, not just make believe swept away by a colonial missionary religion that says no to heathen paganism and tries to enforce worship of its imperial deity.

Obon: when The Veil gets thin
Obon (お盆 [1]) or just Bon (盆 [2][a]) is a fusion of the ancient Japanese belief in ancestral spirits and a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the spirits of one's deceased ancestors. This Buddhist custom has evolved into a family reunion holiday during which people return to ancestral family places and visit and clean their ancestors' graves when the spirits of ancestors are supposed to revisit the household altars. It has been celebrated in Japan for more than 500 years and traditionally includes a dance, known as Bon Odori. More: Obon

FREE LUIGI MANGIONE

Any relation to Chuck? Why does no one mention that? Is it because all the Mangiones are nuts? We mean talented men full of potential. Americans LOVE guns. Americans hate insurance companies. Americans love bad boys. What did the Buddha teach? The Buddha taught that what happens to us in our lives has a lot to do with our karma (deeds). What is that karma based on? Karma is rooted in six causes: greed (lust), hatred (aversion/fear), delusion (wrong view) or nongreed, nonhatred, nondelusion. If we are not mindful of what roots are growing, what sprouts cannot surprise us.
