Los Angeles Sheriff leaving office

Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly; Los Angeles Times
Did Baca foster a culture of racism, sexism, anti-semitism? There was no anti-semitism.

Bye-bye, Baca! Shot yourself in the foot or the
Los Angeles' lead torturer of those being held for trial in the Los Angeles jail system, Sheriff Lee Baca, is baling out. He was set to run for a fifth term in a position where the incumbent wins most of the time. But on the night of Jan. 6th, it was being announced that he would be stepping down. Speculation was that he would be charged with major felonies -- as 18 of his deputies were recently arrested in an FBI investigation of abuses in the Sheriff's office -- and Baca did not want to be bogged down with a losing reelection campaign. His vague excuses for getting out as fast as he can, after two week's notice, is reminiscent of the former Turncoat-Pope (Benedict) avoiding arrest on molestation cover-up and major bank fraud charges. Did the FBI cut a deal with him in secret? "Get out of Dodge and we'll look the other way. Otherwise, there's a coach leaving at noon; be under it"? It's possible. Disgraced Baca is getting out while the gettin's good.

I didn't murder them myself. And I quit! (LAT)
Only he knows what he's hiding. And only he knows how many detainees awaiting their day in court, mentally ill convicts, non mentally ill prisoners, or the growing number of innocents pressured to agree to plea deals to avoid unfair prosecution and draconian sentences were tortured, summarily executed (in murders labelled "suicides" or "accidents" after excessive force beatings).

There was one time when the new Sheriff's deputies, all of whom begin their careers as jail guards, were being too sloppy about concealing their beatings of suspects and detainees. The Sheriff was pressed, and he said there were cameras throughout the jail. They were later found in a derelict office still in boxes. Oops, the Sheriff said. That is the kind of leadership unincorporated L.A. has been suffering under in police executions ("officer-involved shootings") and jail torture cases. Will he really retire quietly basting in remorse? Or can the world expect to see him picked up by a global "security" firm like former LAPD Chief Bratton, who then went on to be rehired by the NYPD?

Climate chaos continues: Polar vortex (sutra)

Geoengineering the world's weather is new to the MIC and its HAARP. Give them time.
Oh, Surya (Sol), please come back! We liked global warming better than this new Ice Age.

Yogic Sun salutation (worldiniowa.com)
Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was living near the city of Savatthi at Jetavana in Anathapindika's hermitage.

At that time Suriya (Surya) the Sun deva was seized by Rahu lord of titans (asuras). Thereupon, calling to mind the Blessed One, Suriya the Sun deva recited this stanza:

"O Buddha, Hero, wholly free of all defilements, honor to thee. I have fallen into distress! Guide me."

Thereupon, the Blessed One responded by addressing a stanza to Rahu lord of titans on behalf of Suriya:

"O Rahu, Suriya has gone for guidance to the Tathagata, the Noble One. Release Suriya. The buddhas radiate compassion on the world (of beings).

"O Rahu, do not swallow the dispeller of darkness, the shining one, the radiant and effulgent traveler of the sky. Rahu, release Suriya."

Thereupon, Rahu lord of titans released Suriya and immediately came to the presence of Vepacitti lord of titans and stood beside him trembling in fear with hair standing on end. Then Vepacitti addressed Rahu in this stanza:

Indian mythology describes astronomy.
"Rahu, why did you suddenly release Suriya? Why have you come trembling, and why are you standing here terrified?"

"I have been spoken to by the Buddha in a stanza (requesting me to release Suriya). If I had not released Suriya, my head would have split into seven pieces [a common Indian idiom frequently met with in the sutras]. While I yet lived, I would have had no happiness. (Therefore, I released Suriya)."

The asura Rahu is mentioned explicitly in a pair of sutras from the Connected Discourses of the Pali Canon. In the Candima Sutta and the Suriya Sutta, Rahu attacks Chandra the moon deity and Suriya the sun deity before being compelled to release them by their recitation of a brief stanza conveying their reverence for the Buddha. The Buddha responds by enjoining Rahu to release them, which Rahu does rather than have his "head split into seven pieces." The verses recited by the two celestial deities and the Buddha have since been incorporated into Buddhist as protective chants (parittas) recited by monastics as kind of post-Vedic mantras.

Do we live in a police state? (Part 2)

2013 in review (Tom Tomorrow/thismodernworld.com)

Throwing police power at social problems
Civil liberties? (stopandfrisk.org)
If all one has is a hammer then everything starts looking like a nail. If police and prosecutors are our only tool, sooner or later everything and everyone in America will be treated like a criminal.

This is increasingly the way of life we are being forced to endure, a path that involves “solving” social problems (even non-problems) by throwing more and more cops at them, with disastrous results.

Shut up the F up, old man! (latimes.com)
Wall-to-wall criminal law encroaches on everyday life as police power is applied in ways that would have been unthinkable just a generation ago.

By now, the militarization of the police has advanced to the point where the “War on Crime” and “War on Drugs” are no longer metaphors but understatements. There is a proliferation of:
  • heavily armed SWAT teams even in small towns
  • school lock downs treating children like prison inmates
  • the use of shock-and-awe tactics to bust small-time bookies
  • no-knock raids to recover trace amounts of drugs often resulting in the killing of family dogs or family members
  • waging a counterinsurgency drug war in communities where drug treatment programs were once  key...
But American over-policing involves far more than the widely reported up-armoring of our local precinct. It’s also the way police power has entered the DNA of social policy, turning just about every sphere of American life into a police matter. More

Saving Native American LA: "Hahamongna"

DEVIL'S GATE - In the Pasadena foothills (Los Angeles County), there is a dam placed above the world-famous Rose Bowl.

This is sacred First Nations (the Tongva, the original inhabitants of L.A.) land known as Xaxaamonga. It was taken over by an imperial army long ago, and that military force built a jet propulsion and skunk works laboratory (JPL) affiliated with nearby Caltech University.

Chris Nyerges in Hahamongna (latimes.com)
The Hahamongna basin was once a great meeting place, a periodic city set up as the site of great gatherings of Native Americans from what is now the Los Angeles metropolitan basin, its eroding foothills, crowded coastal zone (particularly Malibu), Catalina (part of the Channel Islands), and modern Orange County.

That is all to be destroyed.

Angeles Nat'l Forest foothills, JPL (SH)
A new plan aims to remove the land and truck it away in the name of "sediment clean-up." At an estimated cost of $70 million, the Hahamongna Watershed Park will more or less cease to exist as a natural habitat. No tree or vegetation will be left standing. In its place concrete, dirt, and rubble will remind local hikers of what was once pre-European-invasion life in the area.

Hahamongna is a rare spot in the Arroyo Seco at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains where the natural watershed meets the urban plain. Periodically, flash floods roar into this basin. Bounded on the north by the mountains and an ominous Jet Propulsion Lab, on the south by Devil's Gate Dam, Hahamongna contains five unique habitat zones that only exist in alluvial canyons near the mountains as well as wildlife (birds, hawks, lions, deer, foxes, toads, bobcats). Most sites like this in Southern California have already been destroyed. Can we afford let Hahamongna go the way of other lost environmental treasures in Southern California. LATEST NEWS

The trucks are coming: 200,000 double-bed, diesel-spewing, street-clogging machines will cause noise, dust, and air pollution, destroying precious habitat (savehahamongna.org).

City officials and local residents join forces against sediment removal plans for Devil’s Gate Dam. Pasadena officials opposed to a five-year, $70-million sediment clean-up of Devil’s Gate Dam in Hahamongna Watershed Park, which they say could increase health risks and negatively impact local traffic, are making their feelings known in a letter to L.A. County officials pushing the controversial project. County Public Works Department officials want to remove up to 4-million cubic yards of sediment and build up around Devil’s Gate Dam, located in the southern portion of the park, but the excavation would also force workers to remove trees and vegetation in the area. NAZIs, Antarctic base, US cover up (Task 68)

Marshall Klarfeld (adamthemissinglink.com, coasttocoastam.com), Examiner.com; Pat Macpherson and Pfc. Sandoval (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Mechanical engineer Marshall Klarfeld appeared on Coast to Coast last night talking about a documented UFO attack on the US Navy in 1947 during Operation High Jump.
  • Marshall Klarfeld, a Caltech graduate engineer, benefited greatly from his 50-year career in business and politics.  His current pursuit of the history of the Anunnaki propelled him into the field of ancient history. His research has uncovered what could be a defining moment in archeology: information in The Anunnaki Were Here! may rank among the ten most important archeological finds of the 21st century.
Nazi saucers, subs (Jim Nichols/examiner)
An extraordinary 2006 Russian documentary was very recently translated into English revealing new information about a US Navy Antarctica expedition in 1946/47. Originally scheduled for a six month period, the “scientific” expedition was officially called “The United States Navy Antarctic Development Program,” and given the operational name Highjump.
The naval component of Operation Highjump was known as Task Force 68 and comprised 4,700 military personnel, one aircraft carrier (the USS Philippine Sea, which was among the largest of all carriers at the time), and a number of naval support ships and aircraft. The Naval expedition was headed by famed polar explorer Admiral Richard Byrd, who had been ordered “to consolidate and extend American sovereignty over the largest practical area of the Antarctic continent.”

Byrd’s expedition ended after only eight weeks with “many fatalities,” according to initial news reports and interviews with crew members, who spoke to the press while passing through Chilean ports.

Rather than deny the heavy casualty reports, Admiral Byrd revealed in a press interview that Task Force 68 had encountered a new [UFO] enemy that “could fly from pole to pole at incredible speeds.”

Admiral Byrd’s statements were published in the Chilean press but were never publicly confirmed by US authorities. Indeed, Byrd did not again speak to the press about Operation Highjump, leaving it for researchers to speculate for decades over what really happened and why Byrd was silenced by his superiors.

Vril Society aided Nazis (causa-nostra.com)
After the Soviet collapse in 1991, the KGB released previously classified files that cast light on the mysterious Byrd led Naval expedition to Antarctica. A 2006 Russian documentary, recently translated, made public for the first time a 1947 secret Soviet intelligence report commissioned by Joseph Stalin of Task 68’s mission to Antarctica

The intelligence report, gathered from Soviet spies embedded in the US, revealed that the US Navy had sent the military expedition to find and destroy a hidden Nazi base. On the way, they encountered a mysterious UFO force that attacked the military expedition destroying several ships and a significant number of planes. Indeed, Operation Highjump had suffered “many casualties” as stated in initial press reports from Chile. While there is a possibility the report resulted from US disinformation fed to a known Soviet mole, the more likely explanation is that the report exposes the first known historical incident involving a battle between US naval forces and an unknown UFO force stationed near Antarctica.

It is a historical fact that Nazi Germany devoted significant resources to the exploration of Antarctica. It established a pre-war presence there with its first mission to the Antarctic in the summer of 1938/1939. According to a statement by Grand Admiral Donitz in 1943, “The German submarine fleet is proud of having built for the Führer, in another part of the world, a Shangri-La land, an impregnable fortress."

If the fortress was in Antarctica, was it built by the Nazis or discovered there? After the "official" defeat of Nazi Germany, according various sources, elite Nazi scientists and leaders escaped to this impregnable fortress by U-boats, two of which experienced difficulties and surrendered in Argentina. Sanitized American Version
(Dec 21, 2013) "The Secret Land" is a 1948 American [propaganda] documentary film about an American expedition code-named "Operation High Jump" to explore Antarctica. It won the Academy Award for for Best Documentary Feature.

Operation Highjump (OpHjp), officially titled The United States Navy Antarctic Developments Program, 1946-1947, was a United States Navy operation organized by Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd Jr., USN (Ret), Officer in Charge, Task Force 68, and led by Rear Admiral Richard H. Cruzen, USN, Commanding Officer, Task Force 68. Operation Highjump commenced 26 August 1946 and ended in late February 1947. Task Force 68 included 4,700 men, 13 ships, and multiple aircraft. The primary mission of Operation Highjump was to establish the Antarctic research base Little America IV. The Western Group of ships reached the Marquesas Islands on December 12, 1946, whereupon the Henderson and Cacapon set up weather monitoring stations. By the 24th, the Currituck had begun launching aircraft on reconnaissance missions.

"Third Reich - Operation UFO" (documentary)

Exopolitics.org.uk; Pat Machperson, Pfc. Sandoval, Wisdom Quarterly

Nazi Antarctic craft (examiner.com)
For the first time the legendary 2006 Russian documentary "Third Reich - Operation UFO" is translated and presented in its entirety. Now fully subtitled into English it is available for free viewing. Thank you to Irina Du Toit for the translation and the saucer people for the subtitles.

Vril Society (esotericonline.com)
The film explores the historical mysteries and rumors of a Nazi secret base in Antarctica, the 1947 flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd's ill-fated "Operation Highjump" expedition, and the occult origins of Third Reich's anti-gravity engines, flying discs, and ancient Atlantis technologies viewed through the lens of perhaps the three most mysterious 20th century German organizations of all: the "Thule Society," "Vril Society," and the "Ahnenerbe."

One of the core themes of the film is the alleged existence of "Base 211," the legendary underground Nazi base in the Antarctic. Drawing on pre-war Nazi interest in Antarctica and the creation of its "New Swabia," the testimony of German U-Boat submarine commanders, and the as yet unaccounted for disappearance of thousands of Nazi scientists and engineers at the end of World War I.

These personnel cannot be accounted for by the Vatican or Odessa "rat lines" or American "Operation Paperclip" activities (wherein the US gave post-war Nazis free travel to America, amnesty, and high paying jobs to develop nuclear weapons the US military-industrial complex then used in war crimes on innocent civilians murdered in Japan).

Psychic oracle, Nazi aider, Maria Orisch (Vril Society)
In addition, the film analyzes the actual geophysical possibilities of an underground base in Antarctica as well as habitable warm patches.

Another core theme is the alleged existence of a Nazi flying saucer program and the many strands of evidence this area generates. From the supposed channeling of extraterrestrial engineering schematics by members of the German occult group "Thule Society" (as well as pioneering work by the Oracle Maria Orsich and her Vril Society receiving communications from Aldebaran) in the early part of the 20th century to the "implosion engine" of Viktor Schauberger and its possible appropriation by the Third Reich.

Bringing viewers to the the latter part of the 20th century, the documentary illustrates the many sightings of unknown crafts around the Antarctic region and the theoretical basis for polar wormholes as entrance- and exit-points for visiting extraterrestrial spaceships and the possible involvement of HAARP, as well as asking why the majority of American Antarctic bases seem to be populated by agents of the NSA (National Security Agency) and CIA.

What to believe?
Like the study of any phenomena or historical events that exist at the edges of our "consensus reality," occupying incredible realms, things are subject to revisionism. The interface of myth and reality is a shifting mosaic of fact, speculation, official disinformation campaigns, and fantasy. To use the phrase of head CIA counter-intelligence spook James Jesus Angleton, we have entered a "wilderness of mirrors."

Certainly there are elements in the documentary that are cause for concern such as the alleged "Special Bureau 13," the Nazi secret flying saucer research group and its similarity to the top secret government agency in the early 1980s role-playing game, "Bureau 13: Stalking the Night Fantastic." (The game title could, of course, be an insider homage to this secret Nazi organization). Likewise, there is the lack of information on the existence of the US Navy destroyer "Murdoch" [tribute to Marduk?] in the testimony recounted by pilot "John Sireson" in his description of the flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd's fleet (testimony taken from an interview by the late pioneering American researcher Leonard Stringfield).

Equally, the testimony of American Admiral Byrd that flying saucers attacked the Operation Highjump fleet is of historical interest as is his testimony to Congress of enemies with spacecraft that have the ability to fly "pole to pole." Likewise, the creation of "New Swabia" is as much a historical fact as the "impossible" existence of the Piri Reis map.

What sets this documentary apart from most others of its kind is the inclusion of high ranking Russian scientists and military personnel. Their testimony is outstanding.

As the great American anti-fascist researcher Dave Emory says of many elements of deep politics. "It's food for thought and grounds for further research."
  • Exopolitics UK and "The Saucer People" are looking for other non-English UFO/alien related videos to help translate and subtitle. We have dozens of Russian documentaries waiting to be translated into English. If anyone speaks Russian and is interested in translating any of this material, please get in touch.Likewise, if any other country has produced a UFO/alien documentary that needs English translations and subtitling, please contact us.
It took a lot of hard work to complete the English translation of this documentary. We would like to dedicate our work to the late American researcher Wendelle Stevens who is quoted in the film. Wendelle, who passed away in 2011, was one of the few genuine professional researchers in the UFO community. He, like journalist Linda Moulton Howe, actually went and spoke to the subjects and witnesses and researched cases firsthand.

The Buddha's first sutra

Amber Larson, Dhr. Seven, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly translation based on Ven. Piyadassi (ATI), "Setting in Motion the Wheel of Truth," Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta (SN 56.11)
Golden Buddha on the River Kwai Giant Buddha Temple (Marc_Wisniak/flickr)

(ursulasweeklywanders.com)
Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One (Buddha) was living in the Deer Park at the Resort of Seers (Isipatana) near Varanasi (Benares, India). There he addressed the group of five ascetics:

"Meditators, these two extremes ought to be avoided by one who has gone forth from the household life. What are the two?

"There is devotion (addiction) to indulgence of sense-pleasures -- which is low, coarse, the way of ordinary people, unworthy, and unprofitable. And there is devotion to severe asceticism (self-mortification, self-abuse beyond the 13 kinds of "sane" ascetic practices), which is painful, unworthy, and unprofitable [and the way of many penitents, hermits, and religieux].

Discourse (sutra) to the Five Ascetics (MT)
"Avoiding both of these extremes, the Wayfarer (the Tathagata, the Perfect One) has realized the Middle Path; it gives knowledge, gives vision, and leads to calm, to liberating-insight, to enlightenment, and to nirvana. And what is that Middle Path realized by the Wayfarer...?

It is the Noble Eightfold Path, and nothing else, namely: (1) right understanding, (2) right thought (intention), (3) right speech, (4) right action, (5) right livelihood, (6) right effort, (7) right mindfulness, and (8) right concentration (absorption).

This is the Middle Path realized by the Wayfarer, which gives knowledge and vision (knowing and seeing), and leads to calm, to insight, to enlightenment, and to nirvana.

I.
"The noble truth of disappointment (dukkha), meditators, is this: Birth is disappointing, aging is disappointing, sickness is disappointing, death is disappointing, association with the unpleasant is disappointing, separation from the pleasant is disappointing, not getting what one desires is disappointing -- in brief the Five Aggregates subject to clinging are disappointing.

II.
"The noble truth of the origin (cause) of disappointment is this: It is this craving (thirst), which produces re-becoming (rebirth) accompanied by passionate greed, finding fresh delight now here, now there -- namely, craving for sense pleasure, craving for [eternal] existence, and craving for non-existence (self-annihilation).

III.
"The noble truth of the cessation of disappointment is this: It is the complete cessation of this very craving, giving it up, relinquishing it, liberating oneself from it, and detaching from it (letting go by dispassion brought on by insight into the true nature of all phenomena).

IV.
"The noble truth of the path leading to the cessation of disappointment is this: It is the Noble Eightfold Path, and nothing else, namely: right understanding, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration.

The Five Ascetics became the first monastic disciples (earthyogi)

"'This is the noble truth of disappointment' -- such was the knowledge, the vision, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before. 'This disappointment, as a noble truth, should be fully realized' -- such was the vision, the knowledge, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before. 'This disappointment, as a noble truth has been fully realized' -- such was the vision, the knowledge, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before.

"'This is the noble truth of the origin (cause) of disappointment': such was the knowledge, the vision, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before. 'This origin of disappointment as a noble truth should be eradicated' -- such was the knowledge, the vision, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before. 'This origin of disappointment as a noble truth has been eradicated' -- such was the knowledge, the vision, the wisdom, the certainty, the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before.

"'This is the noble truth of the cessation of disappointment' -- such was the knowledge, the vision... the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before.

"'This is the noble truth of the path leading to the cessation of disappointment' -- such was the knowledge, the vision... the light that arose in me concerning things never heard before.

"As long as my knowledge of seeing things as they really are was not clear in these three aspects, in these 12 ways, concerning the Four Noble Truths, I did not claim to have realized the matchless, supreme enlightenment, in this world with its devas (fairies), with its maras (killers), and brahmas (divinities), in this [human] generation with its wandering ascetics and Brahmins, with its devas and human beings.

"But when my knowledge of seeing things as they really are was clear in these three aspects, in these 12 ways, concerning the Four Noble Truths, then I claimed to have realized the matchless, supreme enlightenment in this world with its fairies, with its killers and divinities, in this generation with its wandering ascetics and Brahmins, with its devas and human beings. And a vision of insight arose in me:

"'Unshakable is the deliverance of my heart. This is the final birth. Now there is no more re-becoming (rebirth).'"

This is what the Blessed One said. The group of five ascetics was gladdened, and they rejoiced in the words of the Blessed One.

Reaction
Buddha, ascetics, devas (sundaytimes.lk)
When this (first) discourse was expounded, there arose in Kondañña the passion-free, stainless vision of Truth (dhamma-cakkhu). In other words, he attained stream entry, the first stage of enlightenment, realizing: "Whatever has the nature of arising has the nature of ceasing."

When the Blessed One set in motion the Wheel of Truth (Dharma), the earthbound devas proclaimed: "The matchless Wheel of Truth that cannot be set in motion by any (ordinary) wandering ascetic, Brahmin, deva, killer, divinity, or anyone in the world, is set in motion by the Blessed One in the Deer Park at the Resort of Seers near Varanasi."

Hearing these words of the earthbound devas, all the devas of the Realm of the Four Great Kings (of the four quarters) proclaimed: "The matchless Wheel of Truth that cannot be set in motion by any ordinary wandering ascetic, Brahmin, deva, killer, divinity, or anyone in the world, is set in motion by the Blessed One in the Deer Park at the Resort of Seers near Varanasi."

These words were heard in the upper deva realms, and from Realm of the Four Great Sky Kings it was proclaimed in deva Realm of the Thirty-Three... Contented... Tusita (Joyful)...Delighting in Creating... Delighting in the Creation of Others... and the Divinities of Brahma's Retinue... Brahma Ministers... Great Brahma... Limited Radiance... Limitless Radiance... Feeding on Delight (Splendid)... Limited Beauty... Limitless Beauty... Total Beauty... Of Great Fruit... Insensate... [The Pure Abodes:] Not Falling Back... Beautiful... Clear-Seeing... and Equal-in-Rank:

"The matchless Wheel of Truth that cannot be set in motion by any ordinary wandering ascetic, Brahmin, deva, killer, divinity, or anyone in the world, is set in motion by the Blessed One in the Deer Park at the Resort of Seers near Varanasi."

At that very moment, at that instant, the cry (that the Wheel of Truth had been set in motion) spread as far as Brahma world [in space], and the system of 10,000 worlds trembled and quaked and shook.

And an unbounded sublime radiance surpassing the effulgence (power) of (self-luminous) devas appeared in the world-system.

Then the Blessed One uttered this paean of joy: "Truly Kondañña knows, truly Kondañña knows (has penetrated these four ennobling truths)." So it was that Ven. Kondañña received the name Añña Knondañña -- "Kondañña who knows."
