"Yoga Hosers" w/ Glam-Thrax (free movie)

We were not inspired by Kevin Smith of all people, not at all. We love yoga for yoga.

Yoga Hosers (free movie with ads PG-13)
(YouTube Movies & TV) Here's a comedy about two teenage yoga enthusiasts who team up with a legendary man-hunter to battle with an ancient evil presence that is threatening their major party plans.

Yoga Hosers
is an American comedy-horror film written and directed by Kevin Smith. It is a spin-off of Smith's 2014 horror film Tusk and stars Smith's daughter Harley Quinn Smith, Lily-Rose Depp, and her dad, world-famous Johnny Depp.

It's the second film in Smith's True North Trilogy, which world premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.

PLOT: Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie are two 15-year-old girls who spend their days studying yoga with their guru, Yogi Bayer, and working an after-school job at a Manitoba, Canada, convenience store called "Eh-2-Zed."

They are also in a cover band called Glam-thrax with their tattooed 35-year-old drummer friend Ichabod. The two are invited to a party by popular senior Hunter Calloway, who is the object of Colleen M's affections.

The next day at school, the girls' history teacher informs the class that the Nazi Party once had influence in Winnipeg. Led by the self-proclaimed "Canadian Führer" Adrien Arcand and his right-hand man, Andronicus Arcane, the Canadian Nazis were once a great force of terror. Arcand was later arrested by Federal authorities, but Andronicus Arcane was never found. More

Hindus greet Buddhists on "Sangha Day"

(ANI/Sify/WQ) Hindus have sent early greetings to Buddhist communities worldwide for the upcoming Magha Puja Day, which falls on February 18, 2011.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a release from Nevada (USA), expressed his warmest greetings on behalf of the American Hindu community on the upcoming Buddhist celebration of Magha Puja day, wishing peace, blessings, and joy to all Buddhists.

Rajan Zed, who is the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, stressed that all religions should work together for a just and peaceful world. Dialogue brings us mutual enrichment, he added. Also pronounced Makha Bucha and called Sangha Day in English, it is popular in Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

It commemorates a day when 1,250 arhats (enlightened disciples) came to pay homage to the Buddha Gautama. He in turn addressed them and giving them the teachings called Ovadapatimokha, laying down the principles of Buddhist teachings.

Sangha Day shows special appreciation for the Buddhist monastic Order. In Thailand, Theravada Buddhists participate in candlelight processions from temples called Wian Tian. They visit temples to engage merit-making activities, circumambulate Lunar Observance (or "Sabbath") Day Hall, meditate, and so on.

Buddhism, the [third] largest religion in the world [when a full accounting is made including China], is based on teachings attributed to Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha or "Awakened One"). Hinduism, the oldest and third largest religion in the world [when Chinese Buddhists are counted as official atheists by its communist regime], has about one billion adherents [almost all of them in India].

Moksha (liberation) is the ultimate goal [of both traditions, although they define "liberation" differently, the Hindus sometimes saying it is rebirth in heaven with Brahma, and Buddhists saying it is nirvana].

Jennifer Aniston: Yoga, "Free Burma"

Until Jennifer Aniston promises to "free Burma," Woody Harrelson pitches a fit and will not leave his trailer (USCampaignForBurma).

(National Ledger) Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston reportedly "quiets her mind" by doing two hours of yoga almost every other day. Jennifer, 40, said it has helped to make her legs leaner, her arms stronger, her limbs longer, as well as improving her overall posture. Reports also claim she said her muscles are more toned from a workout that is more like a therapy session. Jennifer split with husband Brad, 45, in 2005 and she reportedly said that yoga helped her to recover from that split.

OM MY GOODNESS Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, President of the Universal Society of Hinduism, said in a statement that he invites other Hollywood stars to explore yoga, which has been referred to as a "living fossil." Zed added that sages described "yoga" as really being the "silencing of all mental transformations."
