Please join Coming West (Hsi Lai) Temple in celebration of the birth of our teacher, Shakyamuni (Gautama) Buddha, which is one of the most important events on the Buddhist calendar. During this celebration, we partake in the traditional bathing of the baby Buddha (Prince Siddhartha), and pray not only for auspiciousness in our lives, but to also emulate him and his teachings.

(Religion For Breakfast) Why religions survive when prophecies fail: Have we all been left behind? The Rapture (as preached by Evangelical Christians) took place on Sept. 23-24, 2025, Julian Calendar (not Gregorian Calendar). It is good for a cult when their prediction and prophecies FAIL. It's the social psychology/sociology of religious thinking. Das Kapital? No, das Dispensationalism.
Even though the "rapture" did not take place, it is always a good day to repent, turn oneself around, and do better. "Go in peace and sin no more" was good advice from St. Issa. Mahayana Buddhism, which is very Hindu/Christian, has a long history of regular repentance ceremonies.
Sun Tzu wrote, “All warfare is based on deception.” You have heard many stories about the Israeli government deceiving and manipulating U.S. officials, steering our country [USA] towards funding and even fighting their [Zionist Jewish] wars.
Let me tell you one more: Israel exploits the religious beliefs of American Christians, fostering a certain flavor of fanaticism to empower a doomsday cult in a twisted effort to serve the interests of this increasingly genocidal apartheid state.
I know this, because I [Brandt Burleson] was a central useful idiot in this psyop. As the “Strategic Outreach Director” of the Consulate General of Israel to the Southwest United States, I spent the last eight and a half years betraying my country [the USA] on behalf of the Israeli government, using theology [see Caesar's Messiah] as a geopolitical tool and simultaneously lost my faith in God.
Whoever he'd kill, I'll kill for Him. He's my Lord!
Premillennialdispensationalism is the Christianend-timesbelief that all true believers will be raptured away to Heaven, ushering in a seven-year tribulation period under the reign of the antichrist, where those left behind will endure unspeakable suffering before the day of judgement and an eternity trapped in Hell.
I know it sounds cartoonish, but...
Since “Israel” plays a central role in this apocalypticfantasy, adherents of this view are required to foster unconditional support for the contemporary Israeli government which they view as the manifestation of [Jewish] biblical Israel.
These adherents are in a very real sense rooting for Armageddon[the name of a place where the final battle must take place]. Beliefs can be very powerful, and it doesn’t take a genius to grasp how this belief is a national security vulnerability of biblical proportions.
One that has captured the mind of [Republican] Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) [who is funded by Zionists], U.S. [Christian] Ambassador to IsraelMike Huckabee, and countless others in our [U.S.] government.
The evidence for this capture is overwhelming and undeniable.
Ambassador Huckabee has placed a great deal of his political career in the service of this belief system and has made no secret of his views. He has said, “I think Israel has title deed to Judea and Samaria… There’s no such thing as an occupation.”
Notice the use of the Biblical term “Judea and Samaria” rather than West Bank [part of Palestine where Palestinians have been concentrated like prisoners in a camp]. More
This was not a one-off event. Let's look back to when Ravey was around.
We're the popular ones everyone looks up to.
What is a PROM? It's some kind of dance at the end of school in the States marking the beginning of summer. Of course, it's more than that -- coming of age, a rite of passage, saying goodbye to childhood during the transitional teens to work or college or both. The All-American ritual was made famous by Fall Out Boy in their hit song "Dance Dance."
What in the world is "homecoming"? Is it the football team (reminiscent of a high school's army) returning after battle on other campuses? When warriors football players get "home" are they coming on account of cheerleaders and other females and select males throwing themselves at them in an ancient ritual of post-war procreation to ensure the country (campus) does not run out of progeny? American sociology, anthropology, and social psychology would be fascinating.
Music by the Spazmatics (a melding of Devo and the Plasmatics)
The Plasmatics couldn't make it, and Devo has a tour, so the show managed to book the Spazmatics:
Fall Out Boy are All-American rejects
A promenade dance or "prom" is a formal dance party for graduating high school students at the end of the school year [1, 2]. Students participating in the prom typically vote for a prom king and prom queen [3] or a nonbinary equivalent.
Other students may be honored with inclusion in a prom court. The selection method for a prom court is similar to that of homecoming queen/princess, king/prince, and court.
Inclusion in a prom court may be a reflection of popularity of those students elected and their level of participation in school activities, such as clubs or sports [4, 5].
The prom queen and prom king may be given crowns to wear. Members of the prom court may be given sashes to wear and photographed together [6].
But whatever happens, sex does not happen and no one spikes the punch with any social lubricant, because if either of these things happens, it could result in teen pregnancy and a sentence of a long, dull suburban life or a sentence in a tenement in one of America's urban jungles. More
You really expect me to settle?! Okay. Tonight.
What is The Woody Show?
Could Lee Ving's FEAR be hired to play next year's prom instead of the Spazmatics?
Fat Menace and slim Sammi (The Woody Show)
There is a smarmy Elon Musk loving and often purposely offensive smart guy surrounding himself with numb-numbs. His name is Sebastian (Sea Bass), aka the Cart Narc. There's a cool gal with nearly nothing to say, Sammi, as she feels out of place or is worried about losing her job under Tyrannosaurus Pecker. There's Gina Grad brown nosing to lap up whatever favor she can. And there's the deplorable mascot moron (who looks amazingly like Woody) named Menace. Oh and a gay traffic and weather guy, Gregory (Greg Gory). Missing is old Ravey because who knows what in the heck happened to her. And there's Morgan, the Daria of the show. They're just back from their cruise and on to Morongo Casino for a big prom, in another desperate bid for ratings. So come party with all of them. DRESS UP. (Note: There is NO dress code, so dress down if you like. It's FREE. Don't gamble or it'll be very costly). "Alt 97" (KYSR FM) is the Los Angeles HQ of the syndicated morning show (iheart.com). The show is pope-unapproved.
William Butler Yeats (June 13, 1865–Jan. 28, 1939) is among the greats. Today is the commemoration of the Irish poet's birth.
Irish poet W. B. Yeats was a dramatist, writer, and literary critic who was one of the foremost figures of 20th-century literature.
He was a driving force behind the Irish literary revival, and along with John Millington Synge and Lady Gregory founded the Abbey Theatre, serving as its chief during its early years.
Wm. Butler Yeats in 1923
He was awarded the 1923 Nobel Prize in Literature and later served two terms as a senator of the Irish Free State.
A Protestant of Anglo-Irish descent, Yeats was born in Sandymount, Ireland. His father practiced law and was a successful portrait painter (painting him at right). He was educated in Dublin and London and spent his childhood holidays in County Sligo.
He studied poetry from an early age, when he became fascinated by Irish legends and the occult. His early poetry was influenced by John Keats, William Wordsworth, William Blake, and many others. More
He is remembered for many poems, perhaps most famous of which is this particularly poignant and prescient piece:
All The Simpsons' predictions for 2025 😱 Directed Energy Weapon (DEW) on LA -- scary
(Blakwoodz) Jan. 11, 2025: The Simpsons reveals future once again, but this time the most popular animated sitcom in history is revealing predictive programming for 2025. The Los Angeles fire was predicted by the writers for The Simpsons, which is something that looks unbelievable given the show is made here: use of a DEW or directed-energy weapon.
The show also seems to "predict" the rapture (or perhaps it's Project Blue Beam ushered in by government propagandists taking advantage of popular misconceptions about the Christian Apocalypse ("disclosure" or great "unveiling"), Armageddon (the location of another Jewish and Christian Zionist war), and the "Second Coming" of a Messiah figure (Maitreya, St. Issa, Iēsous, Yeshua Kristos, the nice Jewish boy Joshua, son of Yusuf and Miriam, drug mystery cult leader Jessie Kristus?), a prediction of famous Jesus returning as Christ. The Second Coming is finally at hand after the res-erection? What rough beast slouches towards Bethlehem to be reborn? The Simpsons says a rapture, maybe not The Rapture, and dedicates an entire episode to it, which is not as good as American Dad's "Rapture's Delight." But we get told what is to come by Homer and Co. not a Family Guy knockoff.

Long Line of Ladies (LA Asian Pacific Film Festival)
I called my dad and told him my menstrual period began. He was so happy, he rushed home.

When does a girl become a woman? Ihuk
VCM) "Long Line of Ladies is a stigma-breaking, female-directed short documentary that gives viewers a glimpse into the story of the Karuk tribe of Northern California.
"It takes a significant step forward, normalizing period conversations by highlighting a culture that celebrates and uplifts its young women when they come of age."
From Academy Award-winner Rayka Zehtabchi and Shaandiin Tome, Long Line of Ladies intimately observes the months-long process of one girl, her family, and their tight-knit Karuk as they come together to prepare for her Ihuk.
The Ihuk is the Native American tribe's coming-of-age ceremony for girls, which had gone dormant for over a century due to the violence and destruction brought on by the new Americans and their California Gold Rush.
In the weeks leading up to her Ihuk, Native American girl Ahty learns traditional songs and dances and mentally and physically prepares to spend four days blindfolded and fasting on sacred, tribal land.
Meanwhile, the women and men of the tribe around her support and uplift her as they pass down knowledge, prepare regalia, and above all promote the continued revitalization of their sacred ceremony.
My name is Ty’ithreeha Allen. I am 16 years old now. I had my Ihuk ceremony when I was 12. I grew up attending flower dances, which are coming-of-age ceremonies held for [Indian] girls who have become young women at the onset of their period. My mom was pregnant with me when the first flower dance, or Ihuk as it is called in the Karuk language, was held again after not being held for over 80 years. So I have grown up attending the dance and other ceremonies my entire life. I have grown up dancing, learning, and practicing my culture. My family and I prepared for my Ihuk for two years before the actual ceremony took place. All of that prepared me for my Ihuk as I entered womanhood. More

There are many so-called “gaps” when it comes to women’s health: the knowledge gap, credibility gap, pain gap, and more. There is also what some social science researchers and sex experts call the “orgasm gap” or “pleasure gap.”
Sex can be a big point of contention and even disappointment for women. Buddhistmindfulness helps. Studies have shown that while men in heterosexual relationships climax around 80% of the time during sexual encounters, that percentage drops significantly for women having sex with men.
Becoming Cliterate: Why Orgasm Equality Matters -- And How to Get It
This book has 4.6 out of 5 stars with 630 ratings. It's a winner of the 2019 Consumer Book of the Year Award and 2021 Media Award.
Awards have also been received from two major sexuality organizations to recognize it as the best book for promoting sexual health -- first given by the Society for Sex Therapy and Research and second by the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health.
Studies published in scientific journals show that women who read this book orgasm more, have more arousal, and less pain, improve their body image, and become more sexually satisfied. Men learn how to pleasure women and become better sexual communicators.
It finally happened! - Really? - Yeah, with sports
Sex expert Dr. Mintz (drlauriemintz.com) explains: We've been thinking about sex all wrong. Mainstream media, movies, and porn have taught us that "sex = venis + pagina," and everything else is just secondary.
Standard penetration is how men most reliably achieve orgasm. The problem is, women don't orgasm this way. As women we've separated our most reliable route to orgasm -- clitoral stimulation -- from how we feel we should orgasm, penetration. Hey, it's science. As a result, we've created a pleasure gap between women and men:
50% of 18-35-year-old women say they have trouble reaching orgasm with a partner
64% of women vs 91% of men said they had an orgasm at their last sexual encounter
55% of men vs. 4% of women say they usually reach orgasm during first-time hookup sex.
We're American; let's talk about it.
In Becoming Cliterate, University of Florida Professor of Psychology and Human Sexuality Laurie Mintz exposes the broader cultural problem that's perpetuating this gap and what we can do about it.
Pulling together evidence from biology, sociology, linguistics, and sex therapy into one comprehensive, accessible, and prescriptive book, Becoming Cliterate features:
Cultural and historical analysis of female orgasm (spoiler: the problem's been going on for ages)
An anatomy section (it's all custom under the hood)
Proven techniques for cliterate sex (it starts with training the sex organ between our ears)
A comprehensive final chapter for men (because one doesn't have to have a clitoris to be cliterate)
Author Dr. Laurie Mintz, PhD, sex expert
By dispelling the lies, misunderstandings, and myths that have been holding us back, Becoming Cliterate tackles both personal and political problems and replaces them with updated outlooks and practical skills needed to change our collective [American] perspective on sex.
It's time to finally tell women and men how to have satisfying experiences in bed that benefit both parties.
The revolution is cuming -- and Becoming Cliterate offers a radical, simple solution to progress and pleasure for all. More + AUDIO CLIP
