Some germs eat plastic: new microbe

Can the Elementals help clean up?
Will microbes and mushrooms save the planet, clean the world, and make human and animal life sustainable like they have for millions of years even after we pump petroleum from the ground and make plastic out of it? Paul Stamets (fungi.com) knows that various species of fungi can remediate the soil by sequestering and cleaning up even atomic waste from Fukushima, to say nothing of oil spills and other corporate human waste products.

World Oceans Day 2025 (The Beach)

World Oceans Day 2025: Protecting the waters that give this Earth life (Earth.com)
I never really think about the ocean. It's just here.
Someday, maybe on June 8th, it will be World Ocean Day. Then people will begin to realize our whole way of life is made possible by the oceans.

Trees give us so much, and we can see them. The ocean with all its plankton, water cycle, and underwater forests gives us more, but we cannot see it.

Corporations pollute, and we clean it up.
We might live on chlorella, spirulina, Irish moss, and seaweed -- nourished by all the salts (minerals) of the earth without knowing it -- yet never think to thank the seas from the sand at the foot of the oceans.

The United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030) is halfway through. However, the UN Sustainable Development Goals on life below water (SDG14) remains the most underfunded goal.
World Ocean Day
What a wonder the ocean
What would mermaids say?
This World Oceans Day, join us as we celebrate the ocean's essential wonder -- from all the wonders it consists of to the wonder it ignites. The ocean's wonder is what draws us in and drives our urge to protect it. Wonder is the foundation of scientific knowledge, the allure behind exploration, the curiosity that drives innovation, and the seed of traditional wisdom.

The act of wondering serves to remind us that we are part of something bigger. It wakes us up to our inherent connection to this earth and to each other, expands our understanding of what is possible, empowers innovation, and prioritizes decision-making for collective wellbeing.

While the ocean sustains our planet, wonder sustains our humanity. If the warnings haven't changed us, wonder is what will. More: United Nations World Oceans Day

Youth Sutra, The Buddha's Diet Plan

.
Anti-fat propaganda poster, USA, 1942
Want guaranteed weight loss and better health? What if there were a "Royal Buddhist Diet"? Well, there is and it's hard, but it really works.

King Pasenadi of ancient Kosala was very fat.

He waddled around his kingdom, belly swollen, feet sore, short of breath. One day, after eating a bucket of rich, royal food, he found the Buddha and sat beside him, panting like a sweaty mess.

Rich foods are royal. Healthy foods are priceless
The Buddha gently commented, "When one stays mindful, one will know how much one has eaten and what amount is enough. Then all of that person's afflictions will become slender and one will age gently and protect one's life."

A Brahmin youth from the king's retinue was standing nearby. King Pasenadi instructed him to memorize the Buddha's words and recite them whenever the king was about to eat.

As soon as King Pasenadi learned to pay bare attention to his eating -- to savor it and remain aware of chewing and tasting and swallowing it -- he was able to delight in a single cup of rice.

[So as not to body shame the royal, let's just say he was voluptuous, zoftig, big boned, had a glandular condition, metabolic syndrome, was prediabetic, loved flying his freak flag and doing his own thing, had too much plastic xenoestrogen in his body and brain from the environment, ate too much, and had poor impulse control from early traumatic childhood events that made his regulation of dopamine a challenge.]

NATIONAL STRAWBERRY DAY (Feb. 27th) adds an extra aphrodisiac to the American "month of love." Devilishly sweet, delightfully low in calories, strawberries (which are not really berries though avocados are) are the perfect food to feel naughty and nice at the same time. Grown both around the U.S. and around the world almost year-round, we’re never far from a supplier of this tasty tongue-tickler to celebrate!

In time King Pasenadi became slender and strong, full of energy and beautiful. And as he sat stroking his slender limbs, he said:

"The Buddha has twice shown me compassion -- for my benefit now and for my benefit in the future."

What is this diet regimen called? "Mindful eating." What is "mindfulness"? Let's ask Ven. Analayo:
.
The Buddha looks too young
Mahavira: The Buddha was 35
In the Dahara Sutta, SN 3.1, King Pasenadi hints that the Buddha is too young, so young in fact that, compared to other prominent teachers, he must not yet be fully enlightened.

The Buddha explains to the king that there are four things in the world that must not be taken lightly on account of their youth:
  1. a noble,
  2. a snake,
  3. a fire,
  4. a holy person.
It was this discourse (S.i.68f.) that resulted in the conversion of King Pasenadi, which Mahayana refers to as the Kumāradrstānta Sutra (Rockhill: p.49):

Youth Sutra: Too Young?
Ven. Sujato (trans), Dahara Sutta (SN 3.1), suttacentral.net edited by Wisdom Quarterly

Thus have I heard. Once when the Buddha was staying near Sāvatthī in Jeta’s Grove, in Anāthapiṇḍika’s monastery, King Pasenadi of Kosala arrived and exchanged pleasant greetings with him.

When their greetings and polite conversation were over, the king sat respectfully to one side and said to the Buddha: “Does the worthy Gotama claim to have awakened to supreme enlightenment?”

“If anyone should rightly say of someone that he has awakened to supreme enlightenment, it is of me that one should say it. For, great king, I have awakened to supremely perfect enlightenment.”

The king replied, “There are those wandering ascetics and [temple-bound] Brahmin priests who lead a monastic order and spiritual community (sangha) and tutor that community. They are well-known, famous founders of religions (dharmas), deemed enlightened (holy) by many, such as:
Little serpent (naga) can become mighty dragon
“I also asked them whether they claimed to have awakened to supreme and perfect enlightenment, but they made no such claim. So why do you, given that you are so young and only [relatively] recently gone forth [into the left home life of a wandering sannyasin]?”

“Great king, these four should not be looked down upon nor disparaged because they are young:
“These four should not be looked down upon nor disparaged because they are young.”

That is what the Buddha said. Then the Enlightened One, the Teacher, went on to say [in verse]:

“A person should not despise
a noble of impeccable lineage,
high-born and famous,
just because such a one is young.

For it is possible that that lord of humans,
as a royal heir, will gain the throne.
And in anger will execute a royal punishment
and have one violently beaten.
Hence, avoid such a noble
for the sake of life.

Whether in village or wilderness,
wherever a snake is seen,
one should not look down on it
nor despise it for its youth.

With its rainbow of colors,
a snake of fiery breath slithers along.
It lashes out and bites a fool,
male and female alike.
Hence avoid it
for the sake of life.

A fire devours a huge amount,
a conflagration with a blackened trail.
One should not look down on it
just because it is young.

For once it gets fuel
it will become a huge inferno.
It will lash out and burn a fool,
male and female alike.
Hence avoid it
for the sake of life.

When a forest is burned by fire,
a conflagration with a blackened trail,
shoots will spring up there again,
with the passing of days and nights.

But if a wanderer endowed with virtue
burns you with holy power,
you will have neither sons nor cattle,
nor will your heirs inherit wealth.
Childless and heirless you become,
like a palmyra palm-tree stump.

That is why a wise person,
seeing what is beneficial,
will always treat these four properly:
a snake, a fire,
a famous noble,
and a holy person endowed with ethics.”

When this was said, King Pasenadi of Kosala exclaimed:

I've got my eye on you, Little Fire
“Excellent, sir, excellent! As if one were righting what was overturned, or revealing the hidden, or pointing out the path to one who was lost, or lighting a lamp in the dark so people with eyes could see what is there. Just so the Buddha has made the Teaching clear in many ways. I go for guidance to the Buddha, to the Teaching (Dhamma), and to the [noble] Saṅgha. From this day forward, may the Buddha remember me as a lay follower who has gone for guidance as long as life lasts.”

To be the Goddess, Planet Wild's bear cub

We can save the world or at least this planet.
One needn't be a girl or a goddess to be a nurturer, a steward of Planet Earth, the Goddess Gaia (Bhumi, Tierra, Terra, Urth). Planet Wild is doing it by human power. As much as people think Buddhism is atheistic because it does not bow to some "creator God," it is actually nontheistic and polytheistic. There are many gods (devas), Gods (brahmas) and
Great Brahma, and GOD (the impersonal/transpersonal Brahman) or "godhead" like the Vedic religion of old or modern Hinduism talk about. The celestial bodies are all deified (likely because ET visitors said they were from there or were rulers of those places visible in the night sky).

Countless worlds on 31 planes
In the Jataka (Rebirth) Tales of the Buddha, a kind of collection of Aesop Fables (with a strong moral to each story, which always seems to be the same moral -- what the person did in this life that person did in a previous life/lives), he recounts being reborn as the deity of the Moon (Soma) and Sun (Surya) multiple times, as were others close to him. Did he mean he was the ruler there, the embodiment, or a deity (deva) from there named after that world? It seems that when Dr. Steven Greer, MD of Disclosure Project, Sirius Disclosure, and Gaia TV, says that "Earth" is
literally a female deity, he is onto something. He has some reason for believing it and saying so other than others having said so. If we can be reborn as devas (shining ones, light beings), and we can, we can theoretically be born into the role of Mother Earth, the Goddess Gaia, Bhumi, or Tierra, just as Sakka King of the Devas was reborn as the king of the World of the Thirty-Three and the Realm of the Four Great Sky Kings, the two worlds immediately above the human plane.
If I were Goddess Terra, I'd be Mother Nature.

Princess Kate dying of cancer (or dead?)

Illuminati goddess? Kate's coronation outfit inspires worship
The "sickly" look of cancer is not due to cancer. It is due to toxic chemo. The theory is that we'll kill you and destroy your natural immune system, but just barely, so that cancerous cells die, but we'll try to save you at the last minute. You might die. You'll probably die. But if you live, expect to be bald, sick AF, losing teeth and vitality all in the name of profits because we could treat the body gently and work with it. But we prefer expensive cutting, burning, and irradiating. Hope you have insurance, and if you do, what business is it of yours if we squander those payments. It's not like it's coming out of your pocket. Anyway, insurance won't pay for gentle things.

Princess Kate's health update | 60 Minutes AU
.
(60 Minutes Australia) March 24, 2024: The Princess of Wales releases a video revealing her cancer diagnosis.
I'm fine and loving life. Look!
SYNOPSIS: Catherine [Middleton-Windsor], Princess of Wales (2024) Devastating. Frightening. Overwhelming. For anyone, a diagnosis of cancer is tough to comprehend. But it’s even more so when you’re one of the most recognizable people on the planet. In little more than 36 hours, Catherine, Princess of Wales has shown what a courageous woman she is. [Why, she's a regular Princess Di Jr.] She’s also, inadvertently, taught the world a valuable lesson: that gossip and rumor are more often than not the furthest things from the truth.

Saint Mother Theresa with Saintly Mother Princess Diana, the world's favorite British royal.
.
Hope we don't break up before I become king.
[But what is the truth? Is she already dead? She can't be! I saw a picture and heard reports in the mainstream media that her royal PR firm was putting out doctored propaganda photos and fake reports of her being spotted in public looking just fine. Sure, she hasn't been seen in a while and no one knows where she is really, but that's what body-doubles are for.]

Me 'n you, K, not Baldy. - O, Hairy!
[The House of Windsor cannot afford a scandal like this at this time, so you'll understand if all damage control systems are deployed to squash this story and speculations about the royal's whereabouts, life-status, and/or health. So let's all pray that God save the queen-to-be so that Britain can live long and continue to rule the world from that city-state-within-a-city known as the financial district of London where the world's banking is done with the help and support of the city-state-within-a-state known as DC as the world's military arm and the city-state-within-a-city known as the Holy See in Rome, the heart of the Holy Roman Empire or spiritual arm of the unholy trinity. See The Ring of the City documentary for an explanation of how things work on this planet if this is not making sense. In any case, we still have Ginger Harry Windsor as a backup king and Black Queen-to-be Meghan Markle.]

Cures versus Treatments
Eds., Wisdom Quarterly COMMENTARY

Humans can heal humans divinely?
It's sad that this should be happening now when researchers are claiming to be on the verge of a cure for cancer:
This, in spite of the fact that "cancer" refers to 1,000 different diseases, not a single thing called the Big C. And never mind that there are hundreds of cures for it/them, many of them made illegal and shut down to preserve the Cancer Treatment Industry, which rakes in billions a year to keep the public terrorized and draining the life savings of the ill before they die from a lack of effective intervention.

Reiki is a real thing. But my doctor said...
In fact, few people die of cancer. What they die of are the deadly treatments promoted by the profit-driven medical industry. Some of the worst ideas in modern medicine are deadly embalming chemicals for the living ("chemotherapy") and surgery (cutting, excising, bursting open tumors to spread cancer after the body has segregated the cancer cells in a bundle when if these bundles/tumors were left alone one might be just fine.

Nature can heal? Is that how it survived?
Baking soda, Essiac tea, Ojibwe tea, alkalizing diet, green detox flushes, massive dietary changes away from known carcinogens like fried foods (acrylamides), ultra-processed foods, flesh of dead animals embalmed in preserving chemicals like sulfites, colorants, natural flavors, dairy full of pus, rancid fats, stale and toxic packaged products, pesticides, microplastics, stripped sodium, dead white sugar, lack of micronutrients (trace minerals), and epigenetic triggers. There are other options: reiki, pranic healing, spiritual intervention, medical intuitives, a library of solutions provided by Edgar Cayce, and best of all, The Cancer Control Society (CancerControlSociety.org) to provide all of these in one outlet.

Get up and do something useful. Learn from it. It's not personal (cancercontrolsociety.org).
.
But it seems people want to die paralyzed by fear, obedient to the white lab coat clad priests of the Oncology religion. Die. Who cares? What was their money doing in your pockets anyway? Give it back, and then kick the bucket. Obey. If even the rich and famous do not seek out real cures, what's the chance that anyone from the workaday population is going to access it?

The body can heal itself, and we can help it.
Actually, the lower one is the better the chances are to break the spell of the mainstream media (and slick advertising campaigns for hospitals and cancer "treatment" centers, drugs, and surgeries) and the pull of our tribal medicine men indoctrinated into the tenets of a Western medical system more interested in alleviating symptoms with drugs one takes for life than "curing" anything. There's no profit to be made by curing things. The best thing that ever happened to doctors are increasing cancer rates. It gives them work and riches so long as no one ever cures anyone.

And what about prevention? Never mind. That's a nonstarter as far as doctors are concerned. So keep microwaving foods and food-like stuffs and using plastics, Styrofoam, and heavy metal contaminants without ever chelating them out with cilantro, chelates, flushes, activated charcoal, or energy healings.

What is mindfulness? How it works
Just a thought. Isn't it odd that many "hands on healing" sessions (Shumei, Sukyo Mahikari, Reiki, Christian prayer circles, etc.) are offered free or by voluntary donation without long lines forming? We scoff at paying for the comfort and genuine loving hands but think nothing of parting with thousands for poisons to "kill" cancer out of us.

As Americans we push ourselves until
we're SICK then hand over our hard-earned fortunes
to doctors to try to get well again.
