It's a moral outrage. Who is running the marketing department for the City of LA? "Ride the D, Ride the D," it's everywhere. There's a double entendre in there, as if they aim to drain the main vein or choke a lizard. The "D" is the new D Line, of course, but some school-age kids might think it refers to a real Richard Johnson.
The Metro is the new partially underground way of getting around the west coast megalopolis, Earthquake Town. As we continue to await "The Big One," which we have been waiting for for the past 30 years since the last time they re-announced it's another 30 years, but it's coming. It's coming. And there's no need to ever ask after every temblor, "Is this the Big One?" Why?
Unisex hoodie, sexy crop top (shorts not included)
It's because when it's the Big One, you'll it's the Big One, because you won't have to ask, "Is this the Big One." Your certainty will obviate the question. Lately, Netflix is a Joke has taken over every venue in the city, even far off post-fire Altadena, at the Eagle Lodge on Woodbury.
Section 1 of the D Line Extension is a historic moment bringing rail transit for the first time to a part of Los Angeles' Miracle Mile on Wilshire Blvd. Commemorate this LA transit milestone with a comfy and stylish "Ride the D" dad hat to look like a real D Head! A classic dad hat never goes out of style—made of 100% organic cotton.
LA wants us to "ride the D"?
Who knew mass marketing worked so well?
Last week the Los Angeles Metro announced three long awaited subway stations on the D Line. The video has over 1M views across platforms. An hour after posting, the team quickly followed up with merch to celebrate, a shirt that simply reads “Ride the D.”
They did a full year’s worth of sales in under 24 hours. The design made it ontoLate Night with Seth Meyers. They couldn’t have predicted one piece of merch could become this big of a moment.
We can't hardly wait for hardy May Eight!
When working in social, one is often asked to see the future. What format will break through? How can we get this to go viral? The truth is, even the best social teams surprise themselves.
Jane Ashley, who leads the social media strategy at LA Metro, told me: “We didn't anticipate that the announcement post would be completely eclipsed by something we barely officially promoted.” That’s the fun of working in this industry:

One day after the massive Burma-Thailand earthquake, where will the partial solar eclipse be visible?
MAP: Global path of partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025, created and annotated in Canva by Jamie Carter using MapHub.net (Source: Esri, Maxar, GeoEye, Earthstar Geographics, CNES/Airbus DS, USDA, USGS, AeroGRID, IGN, and the GIS User Community. Eclipse path by Xavier Jubie)
The partial solar eclipse on March 29, 2025, will be seen from North America, Europe, Russia, and parts of Africa.
Although it won't be as spectacular as North America's April 2024 total solar eclipse, the first solar eclipse since the "ring of fire" eclipse in Oct. 2024 is set to bring stunning views to some lucky eclipse chasers.
For some observers, an eclipsed sun will appear on the eastern horizon at sunrise — if skies are clear — as the moon [or Rahu] blocks up to 93% of the sun. Maps show where the partial solar eclipse will be visible.
Remember, Mom was right. It's unsafe to look directly at the sun during the partial phases of a solar eclipse. At all times, wear solar eclipse glasses to avoid quick damage to the retina. There are guides on how to observe the sun safely. Do not take Pres. Trump as a model.
What viewers need to know about the March 2025 partial solar eclipse
Who can predict the movement of the lights?
What will happen during the partial solar eclipse? This partial solar eclipse will have a long and broad path, rising in extreme eastern North America and setting in Siberia, Russia. At least a slight partial solar eclipse will be visible from northeast North America, Greenland, Western Europe, northwest and north central Russia, northwest Africa, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic.
Asia, South America, almost all of Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Ocean, and most of North America will miss out. The eclipse will begin at 8:50 UTC as a partially eclipsed sunrise in northeastern North America, and at 12:43 UTC, it will end as a partially eclipsed sunset in Siberia.
About 814 million people will be in the path of at least some of this eclipse, but only about 44,800 will see at least a 90% partial solar eclipse, according to Timeanddate.com. For all locations, the entire event will take a little under two hours, with a peak in obscuration halfway through. More
Two of the most Theravada Buddhist (sometimes labeled "Southern Buddhism") countries in the world, Burma and Thailand, have been rocked by a massive quake with thousands dead from the collapse of buildings and powerful aftershocks.
Magnitude 7.7 earthquake hits Burma with damage reported in Bangkok, Thailand | BBC
A skyscraper under construction has fallen
(BBC News) March 28, 2025: A huge 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit central Burma (Myanmar) with aftershocks, tremors, and damage felt in Thailand and south-west China.
The epicenter was located 10 miles (16 km) north-west of the city of Sagaing, Burma, at a depth of 10 km, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) says.
Videos show cracks in roads in Burma's new capital Naypyidaw (moved by the totalitarian government from Rangoon/Yangon) and people evacuating into the street in Thailand’s capital Bangkok.
What does this seismic activity portend for San Andreas Fault California becoming an island?
.
What has happened today suggests what California is facing because of its massive San Andreas Fault. Experts warn that the most populated state in the USA is facing similar danger to today's catastrophe. Caltech Lucy is bound to be interviewed. California, most of which is still in Mexico (Baja and Sur), used to be an island (presumably not only because of a myth and misestimation but because of higher sea levels in the past).
Then in 2023, with less drought, Lake Tulare returned
Water went up from the Gulf of California (near San Felipe, Mexico) and around to the Salton Sea, to surround part of Alta California, annexed by the USA for its empire, and link up with the ancient Lake Corcoran (to say nothing of Tulare Lake and Lake Manly) that once occupied most of the state until it was drained.

Trump berates Zelenski, Vance wants thanks, Jimmy's Oscars recap, drunk Guillermo on the Red Carpet
(Jimmy Kimmel Live) March 3, 2025: The Oscars were across the street last night and there was an earthquake afterward, boring Adrien Brody won best actor for his work in The Brutalist and gave the longest acceptance speech in Academy Awards history, Kieran Culkin won for best supporting actor and used the speech to remind his wife that she promised him another baby if he ever won an Oscar, Conan O'Brien did a so-so job as host, so so-so that Jay Leno is being offered the position for next year, the word of the year on the carpet was “giving,” the meeting between Pres. Trump and Ukraine's Pres. Zelenski was as embarrassing as it gets, top-flight journalist Brian Green from the venerable Real America’s Voice asked the most obnoxious question ever about Zelensky’s outfit, JD Vance jumped in saying Zelensky hasn’t thanked us even though he has at least 94 times, Ladybug Lindsey Graham and all the other POTUS parasites circled the wagons, JD celebrated his Zelensky sucker punch by taking a ski trip to Vermont where he was heavily protested, and Guillermo hits the Oscars Red Carpet for his annual tequila fueled report with Hollywood’s biggest stars.
Simpsons' fun predictions for 2025
(Top 5 Best) March 1, 2025: The Simpsons is just a cartoon TV show. It knows nothing, predicts, nothing and is not made by a bunch of writers in and around Hollywood. It's just that sometimes there are coincidences, uncanny alignments with reality, and predictive programming.
