Driving the news: At this month's debate, VP Harris surprised many by saying that she is a gun owner [and later telling a famous Black lady on TV that she will kill anybody who comes uninvited into her house, presumably while Doug cowers in the closet or in the safe room], and in an interview with Oprah this week [in which Kamala showed off her cooking skills with another warped word salad] said, "If somebody breaks into my house, they're getting shot."
Even as she advocates for gun control measures, Kamala used the comments to signal not only that she won't support confiscating guns, but that she has a personal stake in the Second Amendment [and so is inclined to preserve her right to own and use her little metallic friend Shooty].

Zoom out: The comments follow a pattern of Canadian-Californian Harris and Midwestern Walz claiming rhetorical turf that has long been held by Republicans.

. Former hedge fund manager and economic forecaster Martin Armstrong shared insights from his groundbreaking predictive computer program "Socrates."
Armstrong created the software in the 1970s to track global capital movements, and it accurately forecasted major financial events such as the 1987 Black Monday stock market crash.
He soon discovered his code's potential to predict a wide range of global events.
"If there's going to be a war, somebody knows in advance, and they start moving their money," he states. Armstrong recalls the moment when his program predicted the onset of civil war in Lebanon.
"It said the country would fall apart in eight days…[and] eight days later, the civil war began," he recounts. He also insists that Socrates anticipated the COVID-19 outbreak.
"It was more or less orchestrated," he says, before revealing that powerful executives knew the virus was coming [like Bill Gates promised it would].
The conversation touches on the political landscape, with Armstrong sharing that Socrates predicted a Republican victory in the 2024 elections.
"It doesn't matter who the candidate is," he explains. While on the topic of current events, he addresses escalating global tensions, particularly the potential for World War III.
He notes that various governments in Europe are preparing for conflict, warning that "everybody over there...just wants war."
Armstrong expresses concern about the rhetoric surrounding nuclear threats, criticizing the belief that "Russia will never push the button."

Donald Trump may ditch JD Vance as VP after ‘damaging’ week
(Sky News Australia) July 29, 2024: Speculation continues to grow over whether former US Pres. DJ Trump will ditch JD Vance as his running mate after a “very damaging” week.
It comes as a 2021 interview with Tucker Carlson resurfaced last week, in which Vance referred to Democrats like AOC and VP Kamala as a "bunch of childless cat ladies" who don’t have a stake in the future of the country.
The Republican VP nominee has since defended his comments after facing backlash following the remarks he made back in 2021.
The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton joined Sky News host Chris Kenny to discuss the recent backlash the senator is facing and whether Trump will remove him from the ticket as the Republican vice president nominee.
“It’s been very damaging,” Creighton said.

The rebellion against Joe Biden's presidential candidacy is growing and now Bill and Hillary Clinton are joining the behind-the-scenes plotting with Barack [and Michael, aka Michelle] Obama and Nancy Pelosi.
Well-connected aides for Obama and the Clintons are commissioning polls and lobbying Democratic donors to hold onto their dollars in an effort to pressure Biden out of the competition.
But the president's allies are fighting back, joining their boss in digging in their heels about staying in the competition. Biden, his White House and his re-election team have said repeatedly he is in the race to stay.
The coup, however, is born out of concern that Biden, after his disastrous debate performance, can't beat Donald Trump in November. But it has its roots in the decades-long simmering resentments between Obama, the Clintons and Biden. More:
