21 million years of kissing (BBC News)

Nazi Nordic ideal of naked apes (Klaus/Barbie)
Humans have only been going at it for less than 5,000 years, according to science: Archaeologists discover evidence of first human kiss -- and it happened 4,500 years ago. However, kissing (smooching, pecking, making out, speaking French) has been going on much, much longer.

The first ever recorded kiss [discovered so far] happened 4,500 years ago, scientists suggest after discovering evidence that puts the event 1,000 years earlier than previously thought. A study published in the journal Science points to evidence of kissing in the ancient Middle East, in early Mesopotamian societies, documented in ancient texts from 2,500 BCE.

  • Does this mean we're breaking up? 😭
Kissing?

(BBC via MSN) Humans do it, monkeys do it, even polar bears do it. And now researchers have reconstructed the evolutionary origins of kissing. Their study suggests that the mouth-on-mouth kiss evolved more than 21 million years ago, and was something that the common ancestor of humans and other great apes probably indulged in.

The same research concluded that Neanderthals may have kissed too – and that [modern] humans and Neanderthals may even have smooched one another. The scientists studied kissing because it presents something of an evolutionary puzzle -- it has no obvious survival or reproductive benefits. Yet, it is something that is seen not just in many human societies, but across the animal kingdom. More

The origin of language in humans

The origins of language
(History with Kayleigh) Premiered March 17, 2025: Researching the origins of language, can we pinpoint when language first emerged? What do other great apes reveal about their use of language, and how does that tie into our own evolution and development of language? Let's find out. SPONSOR: AirLearn now: airlearn.onelink.me...
  • What's the oldest language in the world? The Tamil language from the Buddhist island of Sri Lanka (aka Eelam, the land of the Tamil Tigers, for which the longest civil war in Asia was fought), Southern India (Tamil Nadu), and Singapore (though surely Sanskrit must be much older than that)

Mexican Buddhists: DNA results are in

Mexican movie star Salma Hayek is Latina beauty

.
Nearly all Mexicans are "blends" or Mestizas
There's a Mexican Buddhists? There are many Mexican Buddhists, not only today but in the past when there were many more.

See A Narrative History of Buddhism in America by American Rick Fields (Shambhala Publications) for a more recent history, but Edward P. Vining's An Inglorious Columbus is the classic anthropological and historical study of who arrived on the shores of Alta and Baja California in ancient times.
  • American Edward P. Vining, who lived until 1920, was a writer, railroad executive [1], and author of An Inglorious Columbus (1885), in which he argued that Buddhist monk Hui Shen was originally from Afghanistan (Gandhara), traveled to China and Mexico, and created pre-Columbian Mexican culture and religion. More
Castas: Spanish racism in Americas
It was Buddhist missionaries from Afghanistan led by Chinese monk Hwui Shan. Vining published his massive text in 1895, yet Americans today are surprised to hear anything about it. Buddhists were in the Grand Canyon from ancient times, along with Hindus or Atlanteans (those from Atzlan?) or followers of a more universalist blended world religion of the past, long before Christian hegemony and the activities of the Catholic Church, its pope, and rapist-priests accompanying soldiers, killers, and slavedrivers to make sure the Vatican got its cut of the booty as it decreed a Doctrine of Discovery to cover them legally in Europe.

Jaw-dropping MEXICAN ancestry and DNA results revealed

Richest man in the world Carlos Slim's family
(Mysterious Origins) Before the arrival of the Spanish (European) invaders in Mesoamerica in 1519, Mexico and Central America [including Panama, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Belize, and Guatemala (allegedly named after the Buddha Gautama, meaning "Gautama's Garland," seeming to reference the Buddha's mother Queen Maya Gautama, according to Fields, 1981), perhaps related to the entire "Maya" civilization that would have been revolutionized by the influx of ancient Chinese and Afghan/Gandhari technology and art] was home to some of the most advanced civilizations in the world, including the Indigenous/Native American Maya, Aztec, ZapotecToltec, and Mixtec peoples.

Buddhism arrived in US, Mexico before Christianity
These civilizations built great cities and empires that amazed the Spanish, developed sophisticated writing and calendrical systems, and engaged in extensive trade networks.

However, the Spanish onslaught, led by the infamous Conquistador Hernán Cortés, resulted in a dramatic transformation and ruin of the region.

The collision of these two civilizations — indigenous Mesoamerican societies and Old World European imperialists — resulted in the creation of modern Latino identity, a blend of Indigenous and Spanish bloodlines.

Brutal colonization brought a foreign language (Spanish), an odd religion (Catholicism), and customs (mass rape, hegemony, racially based chattel slavery) and a reshaping of political and social structures, often at the expense of Indigenous autonomy.

The conquest nearly wiped out these Native groups, but indigenous cultures proved remarkably resilient, influencing everything from language and cuisine to spirituality and artistic traditions.  #mexico #panama #guatemala #centralamerica #mesoamerica

New Yeti/Bigfoot ogre footage

(Top 15s) Top 15 most convincing Bigfoot (ogre, Yakshi, Yeti, Yaksha) sightings caught on tape

Tonight is a big night for cryptozoology and Sasquatch / Bigfoot / Abominable Snowman / Yeti / Yowie / Skunk Ape / Almas / Orang Pendek research as American anthropologist Dr. Mireya Mayor, Ph.D. (who discovered the world's smallest primate and is now looking for the largest) from Expedition Bigfoot appears on Coast to Coast to discuss her primate research and discoveries (such as the world's smallest primate).
Giants/Almas/Yetis in Buddhist Central Asia

Tibetan Buddhists from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet, and Russia really believe in Bigfoot

Here are our names and us talking
These creatures are varieties of Yeti, different kinds of hominid primates. They are 100% real. (Some seem to be interdimensional with uncanny superhuman powers, which makes considering them "real" problematic).

Tibetan lore describes three main varieties of Yetis:
  • the Nyalmo, which has black fur and is the largest and fiercest, standing around 15 feet tall;
  • the Chuti, which stands around 8 feet tall and lives at an altitude of 8,000-10,000 feet (2,400 and 3,000 m) above sea level; and
  • the Rang Shim Bombo, which has reddish-brown fur and is only 3-5 feet (0.91 and 1.52 m) tall [12].
Other terms used by Himalayan peoples, many of them Vajrayana (Esoteric) Buddhists, do not translate exactly the same, but refer to legendary and indigenous wildlife:
  • Michê (Tibetan མི་དྲེད་, Wylie mi dred, ZYPY Michê), which translates as "man-bear" [8, 13].
  • Dzu-teh dzu translates as "cattle" and the full meaning translates as "cattle bear," referring to the Himalayan brown bear [7][10][14][15].
  • Migoi or Mi-go (Tibetan མི་རྒོད་, Wylie mi rgod, ZYPY Migö/Mirgö) translates as "wild man" [10][15].
  • Bun Manchi – Nepali for "jungle man" that is used outside Sherpa communities where Yeti is the common name [16].
  • Mirka – another name for "wild-man."
Local legend holds that "anyone who sees one dies or is killed." The latter is taken from a written statement by Frank Smythe's Sherpas in 1937 [17].

  • Kang Admi is the "Snow Man" [15].
  • Jungli Admi is the "Wild Man" [18].
  • Xueren or Yeren (Chinese  雪人) is the "Snow Man."
Other names and locations
In Russian folklore, the Chuchuna is an entity said to dwell in Siberia. It has been described as 6-7 feet tall and covered with dark hair.

According to the native accounts from the nomadic Buddhist Yakut and Tungus tribes, it is a well-built, Neanderthal-like man wearing pelts and bearing a white patch of fur on its forearms.

It is said to occasionally consume human flesh (cannibalism because it is understood to be a kind of human, not an animal), unlike their close cousins, the Almas, Almasty, or Almastis. More: Yeti

The coup to overthrow the US government by racists in an armed overthrow

"American Coup: Wilmington 1898": Film examines massacre when racists overthrew multiracial US government
Attack Negroes then blame them?
(Democracy Now!) Nov. 12, 2024: American Coup: Wilmington 1898 premieres tonight on PBS and investigates the only successful [January 6th style] insurrection conducted against a U.S. government.

Self-described white supremacist residents stoked fears of "Negro Rule" then carried out a deadly massacre in Wilmington, North Carolina.

MLK, Vietnamese Buddhist Thich Nhat Hanh
Their aim was to destroy Black political and economic power and overthrow the city's democratically elected, Reconstruction-era multiracial government, paving the way for the implementation of Jim Crow laws just two years later.

DN! features excerpts from the documentary and speaks to Co-Director Yoruba Richen, who explains how the insurrection was planned and carried out, and how the filmmakers worked to track down the descendants of both perpetrators and victims, whose voices are featured in the film.

How not to have sex with Neanderthals

Hey, Baby, once you go Neanderthal, you....
What does "Spain" mean? It seems to be the word Sapien with the letters slightly scrambled, a placed where various kinds of human species lived, one we call "modern" and another "old," one Sapien and another Neanderthal. We are Homo sapiens, Euro Cro-Mags, and they are a retarded subspecies on the margins of our territory, living their savage and barbarian ways with their big muscles, attracting our young women.

Were Neanderthals "white"?
(History with KayleighNEANDERTHAL MUSEUM. Modern humans know that Neanderthal DNA has influenced us in quite a few ways, but did their DNA influence our skin tone or our hair color? Why are Neanderthals often depicted with white or pale skin? How accurate are these depictions?

Skeleton reveals early humans had sex with Neanderthals
(BBC News) In 1998, the skeleton of a 29,000-year-old child was unearthed in Portugal’s Lapedo Valley (near Spain on the Iberian Peninsula, which includes Basque Country and is the westernmost point of Eurasia).

Subscribe #Portugal #Science #BBCNews
The child had both early modern human and Neanderthal features, including the chin and lower arms of a modern human and the jaw and robust build of a Neanderthal.

Researchers believed that the child's anatomy was the result of mixed Neanderthal and early modern human ancestry. Now new archeological and DNA techniques may hold the answer.

Neanderthals had sex w/ modern humans?

Ancient humans had a wild sex life
(Intrigued Mind) It turns out that ancient humans weren’t just having sex with each other. They were also having sex with other now-extinct human sub-species like Neanderthals and Denisovans. With the power of modern genome sequencing, scientists have been piecing together what parts of our DNA might be the result of interspecies affairs. #AncientHumans #Neanderthals #Denisovans #Pre-HistoricalAffairs

The strange truth about Neanderthal sex lives
(Weird History) Neanderthals (an extinct human species) remain one of the great mysteries of human evolution. They are modern human's closest relatives, but their habits elude us. We are learning more about our hominid cousins every day, and there is still so much we do not know, including the mystery of Neanderthal mating habits, as there is not a lot of evidence to describe what Neanderthal sex would have been like. Thankfully, there are new advances in genetic paleontology shining a light on this elusive subject, and the discoveries surrounding ancient human mating rituals continue to develop.

The Caves in Spain, archeology, meditation

Aristos Georgiou, Newsweek via MSN, 12/6/23; Dhr. Seven, Amber Larson, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly; Sanditthika.org via Beth Upton (bethupton.com)
In modern Spain today, there is a new cave meditation community (sanditthika.org)
The caves of Spain will be even more famous by a new Buddhist community in them.

The Buddhist cave community of Spain
Archeologists have uncovered evidence of a cave dwelling that was constructed around 16,800 years ago by prehistoric humans.

The dwelling was found in the La Garma cave complex in the autonomous community of Cantabria, northern Spain, the local government announced in a statement.

The new discovery is "one of the best preserved Paleolithic dwellings" in the world, according to the Government of Cantabria. The Paleolithic, also referred to as the Old Stone Age, is a period in human prehistory that extends from the earliest use of stone tools more than 3 million years ago to around 12,000 years ago.

Beth Upton (bethupton.com) is an accomplished former British Buddhist nun now in Spain
Buddhist Spanish cave community: Sanditthika
La Garma is a "unique" archeological site that boasts an impressive collection of rock art and Paleolithic remains, including thousands of fossils, according to the World Monuments Fund.
The complex forms part of a world-renowned network of caves in northern Spain that are listed together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Inside a Spanish cave along the coast
This listing includes the famous Cave of Altamira in Cantabria that features striking prehistoric cave art dating as far back as around 35,000 years ago. To date, five levels of caves have been discovered at La Garma, which preserves evidence of human activity spanning over 300,000 years, right up until the Middle Ages.

The original entrance to the cave's Lower Gallery was blocked by a landslide around 16,000 years ago, preserving the ancient remains inside intact, turning it into a kind of prehistoric "time capsule," according to the local government.

The latest discovery at La Garma is the prehistoric dwelling from 16,800 years ago, which occupies an oval space of almost 54 square feet. The dwelling is delimited by an alignment of stone blocks and stalagmites that supported a structure of sticks and skins leaning against a ledge of the cave wall.

Beth Upton comes from a forest tradition in the Burmese jungle of Pa Auk Monastery
.
Spanish caves have served many good purposes
In the center of the dwelling, the researchers found evidence of a small bonfire, around which lie several remains left behind by the hunter-gatherers who lived there. These include antler and bone instruments, as well as evidence of fur working and stone tool production.

In total, the archeologists documented more than 4,600 objects during their investigations, primarily the bones of deer, horses, and bison, but also pieces of flint, needles, and a proto-harpoon, as well as shells of marine mollusks.

Aurochs — an extinct giant cattle species — painted on cave walls show purposeful art.
.
I'll make it so that everyone can meditate here.
They also found decorated bones, among them, a spectacular pierced bone of an aurochs — an extinct giant cattle species — with an engraved representation of that animal, as well as several pendants that the residents of the dwelling may have worn. More + VIDEO
