Protection from Hidden Chemical Toxins

David William Steinman, consumer advocate and investigative journalist, serves as director of the nonprofit Healthy Living Foundation, a public-interest environmental and consumer advocacy organization that takes legal action and litigates on behalf of consumers and the environment. He will reveal how popular products -- from shampoos to snack foods to cleaning products -- are contaminated with chemical toxins. He presents at the Red Pill Expo.
Raising Healthy Kids: Protecting Your Children from Hidden Chemical Toxins

Author David Steinman with foreword by Sharon C. Lavigne has 1.0 out of 5 stars with 1 rating so far (book released June 4, 2024).
  • The strangest part of this book is the chapter at the end about transgender kids. The author draws a connection between environmental toxins and gender dysphoria. Is our gender, self-image, sexual orientation, and phenotypical sex expression affected by artificial hormones (e.g., xenoestrogens), hormone blockers, and toxic pesticides like atrazine? Will performing surgery on healthy bodies solve these mind-body conflicts?
Diet for a Poisoned Planet
It is from the author of the groundbreaking bestseller Diet for a Poisoned Planet and The Safe Shopper's Bible: A Consumer's Guide to Nontoxic Household Products, Cosmetics, and Food with Samuel Epstein. This is a must-have book for every parent. Why? Every parent wonders:
  • Am I buying products for my child that are filled with chemical toxins?
This powerful new book, Raising Healthy Children, Director of the Chemical Toxin Working Group and one of America’s premier environmental activists Steinman shows how today’s most popular items —
  • breakfast cereal
  • bubble bath
  • cleaning products
  • snack (junk) foods
Mommy, why do toxins smell funny?
— are all contaminated with unacceptable levels of pesticides and chemical toxins [excipients, preservatives, flavor and texture enhancers, addictive agents], and he proposes alternatives and substitutes to keep families safe.

Steinman reveals never-before-seen test results for major brands like Johnsons & Johnsons, Kellogg, Tide, Clairol, and General Mills that identify exactly which products contain these dangerous ingredients.

The Safe Shopper's Bible: A Consumer's Guide
He casts a wide net, showing how beauty products and food items can cause reproductive health issues in pregnant women and that environmental exposures, particularly in schools, can have a profound impact on babies’ and children’s development.

Drawing on current research, illuminating vignettes, and inspiring stories of activism, Steinman provides action steps for parents in every chapter, giving the tools needed to shop for everyday products that are toxin-free and helping readers ask the right questions about their local schools and workplaces to determine their potential levels of exposure.

He writes, “The goal of this book is to show you how to keep you and your family safe and healthy.”

Silent Spring (Rachel Carson)
When Steinman published his acclaimed bestseller Diet for a Poisoned Planet, it was compared to Rachel Carson’s classic Silent Spring for bringing to light the chemical toxins in our food.

Now, more than 30 years later, Steinman brings readers up to date on the increased dangers we face in all aspects of our lives and teaches us how we can make smart choices to protect our ourselves and our children.

Raising Healthy Children is an inspiring, informative, and user-friendly book to help every family reduce their toxic exposures and ensure their health and well-being.

Pack your bags. We found a better Earth

CGI: Could there be another "pale blue dot"?
What must the god-like extraterrestrials flying around on vmanas think of our dirty Earth?

Fake CGI of "Earth" with faker "Moon" (NASA)
‘Super Earth’ (Kepler-442b) could be more habitable than our own planet, Junky Earth, scientists discover. White men in white lab coats say there is a better planet over there in that part of the galaxy, way better than this smoking dumpster fire of a polluted plane. (Yes, it's more likely a plane than a planet evidence-wise; never mind the rhetoric).

I'll move us or kill us all trying: spaceX
Elon Musk must be right. (The government that backs him can't let him be wrong. SpaceX must succeed and Neuralink, too. They didn't let him take the title "richest man in the world" for nothing).

Musk said he'd build rockets and eventually get us off this trash heap and onto a New Earth. (Maybe this is what Oprah-boosted Eckhart Tolle actually meant?)

It's time we could spread our wings and got on with the colonizing of this solar system, galaxy, and universe (as if that hasn't already happened. It has. That's why we're here. We are not from this Earth, just more sort of naturalized arrivals).

Our world as a CGI mock up and mockery
(SOTU) The space race initiated in the 1940s heralded an era of exploration, propelling the quest for greater cosmic discoveries beyond our solar system in the ensuing decades. More: ‘Super Earth’ Kepler-442b could be more habitable than our own planet, scientists discover

Jimmy said so: Greta Thunberg is a FAKE

Here’s how Swedish autistic celebrity activist Greta Thunberg was MANUFACTURED by ruling elites to sell the world on opening a market to trade (buy and sell) imaginary "pollution credits" or "carbon credits" to act as if something is being done about the climate when CARBON is not a pollutant, not toxic to the planet but vital to feeding green plants that give us oxygen. The answer is not toxic batteries, mineral extraction, and forcing us into electric cars or to buy this, avoid that, and so on. It's a lie. It's greenwashing.
It's telling us we need something (alarmism) to force us to accept the "solution" they prefabricated. This is exactly what David Icke is always talking about: Create a problem to have people demanding the solution they pre-invented to address said "problem." The sky is not falling, the globe is not warming out of control (according to the meteorologist who invented the Weather Channel). The environment is being degraded, largely due to unregulated corporate irresponsibility that allows for-profit companies to pollute the planet to manufacture consumer items and then charge us for the clean up. Profits are privatized, while costs are distributed among all of us.

Shocking: Space aliens, ET attacks, jetpacks, gold, hoax, UFOs in Peruvian village
(Christina Randall) Residents of a rural village in Peru claim that "7-foot-tall aliens" attacked them. Local village leaders claim that the non-human creatures are floating and armored and when shot at, them they are immune to bullets. Locals also compare the attackers to Green Goblins and to local indigenous folklore about los Pelacaras ("the Face-Peelers"). Source

"Tear Down This Wall (Street)!"

Flood Wall Street: Sit-in targets ruiners
One day after the largest climate march in history in New York City [with 400,000 participants reminiscent of the anti-War on Vietnam demonstrations of an earlier era], protesters rallied near Wall Street on Monday to highlight the financial industry’s role in fueling air polluters responsible for the environmental degradation that is causing global warming and climate change.

The action came ahead of the one-day United Nations Climate Summit today, where leaders from 125 countries will take part in the first high-level climate talks since Copenhagen nearly five years ago.

Dubbed "Flood Wall Street," hundreds of protesters dressed in blue held a rowdy sit-in on Broadway just blocks from the U.S. Stock Exchange. The demonstrators occupied the street for more than eight hours until police used tear gas and began arresting some 100 people. Democracy Now! was in the streets to cover the action. This video report contains some of the voices in the demonstration. [Pres. Reagan is famous for chiding the Soviet Union, "Tear down this wall!"]

Climate-marchAs many as 400,000 people turned out in New York City on Sunday for the People’s Climate March, the largest environmental protest in history.

With a turnout far exceeding expectations [of 100,000], the streets of midtown Manhattan were filled with students, environmentalists, politicians, musicians, farmers, celebrities, nurses, and labor activists -- all united in a demand for urgent action on climate change.

To Stop Global Warming, Get Dirty Money Out of Politics Speaking at the People’s Climate March in NYC, independent Senator Bernie Sanders discusses a potential 2016 presidential run and how getting money out of politics is critical to addressing the climate crisis. "[Pres. Obama] can and should do more," Sanders says. "But the major impediment right now is not Obama, it is the Republican Party. We have to call them out on this. We don’t do it enough. These are people who do not even acknowledge the scientific reality because they are beholden to Big Energy money and the Koch brothers."

And the only thing we have in our power is people power, and that’s why need to put this demonstration on the street." People's Climate MarchAt least 100,000 people are expected to take part in the People’s Climate March in New York City on Sunday.   More than 2,000 "People’s Climate" events are planned worldwide in 150 countries. And on Monday, climate activists are planning to stage a mass sit-in in the financial district in Manhattan in an action dubbed "FLOOD WALL STREET."

    We'll save you, Earth!
The actions are taking place ahead of Tuesday’s one-day United Nations Climate Summit. DN! speaks to acclaimed journalist Naomi Klein, author of the new book This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate being launched today, about the upcoming climate activism as well as the global grassroots movement dubbed "Blockadia," which is fighting fossil fuel extraction from Canada to Nigeria to Greece. • The NYC book release of Naomi Klein's This Changes Everything is sold out, but watch it free on live stream.
Corporations prefer profits over people and plunder over the planet.

The solution? According to author and artist Stephanie McMillan, it's Capitalism Must Die!

    Capitalism Must Die! (Stephanie McMillan)
Why? "There's an evil force dominating the people of the world and destroying the planet [Bhumi, Gaia, Earth, Tierra] itself. This force is our enemy and the enemy of all life. But before we can defeat it, we have to correctly identify it. We have to understand its underlying structure, how it works, and who controls it in order to pinpoint its vulnerabilities and effectively fight against it."

We agree, and it's not just us. Naomi Klein, author of Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism and the new This Changes Everything on climate change also singles out capitalism -- at least the aggressive form of it practiced in the USA. This is sometimes called "disaster capitalism" or the "create a problem then sell them a solution" model.

    This Changes Everything
Forget everything you think you know about global warming. The really "inconvenient truth" is that it’s not about carbon [that whole carbon market is just a way to make money by selling pollution credits!]. It’s about capitalism!

The convenient truth is that we can seize this existential crisis [a threat to our very existence] to transform our failed economic system and build something radically better.

In Naomi Klein's most provocative book yet, she tackles the most profound threat humanity has ever faced -- the war our economic model is waging against life on Earth. More

(Big Think) Question: Why did you write Shock Doctrine?

Naomi Klein: It came out of reporting that I was doing in Iraq after the [U.S.] invasion [and] the first year of occupation. But I guess it dates back earlier than that. I happen to have been in Argentina making a documentary film when the [U.S.] war [o]n Iraq began. And it was a really amazing time to be in Latin America....

World leaders are going to gather in New York to reach a global agreement on climate change have big money behind them. Clean it or pollute, we don't care as long as we can make money off it. More
