Pre-civilization pyramid found in Japan

Cunk asks all the right questions #CunkOnEarth - Neil de Grasse Tyson defends Black Egyptians

An 80-foot stepped pyramid off Japan may predate every civilization we can name
Beckham Langford, Morning Overview (MSN) June 2026
What else rests under Earth's vast oceans?
Off the Japanese coast of Yonaguni Island, divers have mapped an 80‑foot stepped formation. Some researchers are treating it as a possible submerged pyramid, others as a fractured slab of natural bedrock.

A scientific team applied surface irradiation dating and radiocarbon analysis to samples from the site and reported a formation age of about 10,000 years, raising the possibility that the structure predates every named civilization now in school textbooks.

The age estimate has turned a local curiosity into a live question about when organized construction first appeared in what is now Japan.

Why an 80-foot stepped pyramid off Japan matters now
Yonaguni pyramid ruins scuba diving expedition off of Ryukyu Islands, Japan
The central tension is no longer whether an amazing structure exists at Yonaguni, but what its age and origin say about early humans around the Westernmost Point of Japan.

If the stepped blocks at Iseki Point (Kaitei Iseki) formed around 10,000 years ago, as one scientific abstract reports, then any deliberate shaping would have happened long before the rise of states in the Middle East like Mesopotamia or Egypt's Nile Valley.
  • [But this dating would place it long after Gobekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, and other sites like the pyramids of Egypt and Sudan/Nubia, which are possibly 25,000+ years old, to make no mention of Plato's mythical Atlantis or Mexico's Aztlán].
Location of Japan's Ryukyu Islands
That gap is what makes the site have global relevance rather than making it merely a regional diving attraction. The age estimate comes from samples collected at Iseki Point on the seafloor and analyzed with a surface irradiation dating method, according to an ETDE/OSTI bibliographic record.

The same record states that 14C age determination of attached fossils was used alongside irradiation data to estimate when the submarine ruins formed, and it gives a figure of about 10,000 years for that formation age.

Those numbers anchor the debate: If the structure is that old, any human role would push organized stonework in the region far earlier than currently documented...

Additional context comes from work that links the Yonaguni structure to the wider history of the Ryukyu Islands. A study cited through a digital object identifier treats the site within the paleogeography of the region and references “Paleogeography of Ryukyu Islands and” the submarine ruins off Yonaguni, Okinawa, Japan, according to the record for Kasekiken.

By placing the formation within a broader reconstruction of sea levels and island positions, that research frames the Iseki Point structure as one data point in a changing coastal system rather than as an isolated anomaly. More:

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (BBC)

"Don't Panic"
This work of pure comedic genius began as a BBC Radio play by Douglas Adams (who was the first to think to combine science fiction and comedy), the audio of which is presented here: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It became so popular that it became a book then a sequel then a series then a trilogy with additional installments that made calling it a "trilogy" more and more misleading. It is perhaps the single funniest piece of work we have ever heard, a masterpiece.

Mexico's sacred grain: Amaranth (not corn)

More protein than beef per acre, banned by Conquistadors, erased from every farm
Mexico invented chocolate helped by gods
(Forgotten Roots) Feb. 19, 2026: There is a grain (seed) so powerful that Mexico's Aztec Empire dedicated 200,000 acres to it—more than any crop except corn (maize). #amaranth
  • Mind you, ancient Mexicans are the same people who gave the world chocolate or xocolatl (bitter cocoa water), which they called Theobroma cacao, "The food of the gods." Who were these celestial visitors or "gods," who pointed out the potent nutritional seeds and delicious flavor of the cacao fruit?
  • The first chocolate drink is believed to have been created at least 5,300 years ago, starting with the Mayo-Chinchipe culture in what is present-day Ecuador [3] and later consumed by the Maya around 2,500–3,000 years ago. A cocoa drink was an essential part of Mexico's Aztec culture by 1400 AD [4]. The drink was introduced by Mexico (New World) and became popular in Europe has undergone changes since. Until the 19th century, hot chocolate was used medicinally to treat ailments such as liver and stomach diseases. More
Amaranth (family Amaranthaceae) delivers complete protein, survives drought, and for centuries fed 20+ million people. Then in 1519, Spanish Conquistadors made growing it punishable by death in Mexico (Mesoamerica) and the Americas.
Amaranth: robust, delicious, and very nutritious
They did so not because it failed but because it was so valuable it was considered "the body of the gods" [devas, celestial "light beings," helpers, alien visitors, rulers].

Amaranth contains 13-14% complete protein with all 9 essential amino acids, one of the very few vegan plant sources of a complete protein, along with quinoa.

Amaranth produces more usable protein per acre than cattle grazing and thrives in conditions where wheat dies.

The Aztecs mixed it with honey to create tzoalli—sacred dough shaped into gods, worshipped, and eaten for supreme nourishment.

To the European Spanish invaders, this was demonic and cannibalistic. To modern agriculture, it's a threat.

Donkeys (burros) and hairless dogs in the New World, natural helpers of humans

Heirloom seeds: DNA treasure
By 1970, amaranth had nearly gone extinct. Today it is sold as a $30-a-pound (lb) superfood in health food stores while wheat and corn—both harmful and incomplete proteins—dominate 90% of global grain production.

The amaranth ban ended, but the seed companies never brought it back. This is the story of how religion, colonial conquest, and industrial agriculture buried the most nutritious grain in the Americas.

Amazon Shamans on ET Greys (Ant People)

Drone ant people
Grey aliens -- also referred to as Roswell Greys, Zeta Reticulans, or simply as Greys [a] or Grays -- are a species of extraterrestrial beings on (and in) earth. [They are the ant people.]

They are frequently featured in claims of close encounters and forced alien abductions.

Greys are typically described as having small humanoid bodies, smooth, grey skin, disproportionately large limbs, hairless heads, and large, black, almond-shaped eyes like goggles or sunglasses.

The famous 1961 Barney and Betty Hill abduction in the American desert was key to the popularization of Grey aliens [1, 2] as was Whitley Strieber's bestselling classic Communion: A True Story.
  • Communion (W. Strieber)
The true story in Whitley Strieber's Communion is an iconic classic. Strieber describes his firsthand 1985 close encounter experiences. This book fundamentally changed the way Americans understand close encounters and alien abductions. The message of Communion, that something is really happening to people but that attempts to study, understand it, or even talk about it remain stifled by the powers that be. The book was first published in 1987. Strieber's riveting account of what he himself experienced, along with his relentless and expert pursuit of the reality behind the experience, is to this day the greatest such account ever published. It is a classic and powerful introduction that explores abductions as they stand today—and it's even more provocative as officials begin to admit that UFOs and ET visitors are real. More
Come spend the catastrophe with us in our caves
Precursor figures have been described in science fiction and similar descriptions appeared in later accounts of the 1947 Roswell UFO incident and early accounts of the 1948 Aztec UFO incident (the "other Roswell").
The Ant People helped Hopi survive, cavern beings who twice helped during times of crisis
  • Greys would seem to be the underground "Ant People" (Makunwabu or ancient Greek Myrmidons, possibly Buddhist cosmology's Kumbhandas) of the legendary Grand Canyon Native American civilization that was saved from a natural cataclysm on the surface by being taken down into the dwelling place of these humanoid beings and being sheltered there for a long time until it was safe to come up again and repopulate the surface world.
  • A Buddhist kumbhanda is a kind of "dwarf" or "gnome," a short being shaped like a "gourd" but also described as having testicles as large as a pot (kumbha), two etymologies that give them their name. More

Roger (American Dad!
The world's most famous Grey is named "Roger Smith" whose handler (Stan Smith), working for the CIA, liberated him from Area 51.

The Grey alien is cited an archetypal image of an intelligent non-human creature or ET (extraterrestrial) life in general.

It has become an iconic trope in popular -- thanks to Cartman and the very first episode of South Park -- culture in the age of space exploration.

Description and Appearance
We are not alone. Here is a photo of a real ET.
Grey aliens are typically depicted as grey-skinned, diminutive (small being 3 or 4 feet tall) humanoid beings that possess reduced forms of, or completely lack, external human body parts such as noses, ears, and external sex organs [3]. [They may be partly artificial synthetic-organic automatons with AI abilities sometimes seen operating under the direction or power of Tall Whites (Nordic aliens).] Their bodies are usually depicted as... More

There were GIANTS: Baal, Asuras, Tiwanaku

The MEGALITHIC mystery of Baalbek — Massive stones no one can explain
(Uncharted Mysteries) Nov. 1, 2025: Something about Baalbek (ancient Heliopolis) doesn’t make sense — an ancient platform in Lebanon [next to modern Israel] built from stone blocks so massive that no known method could have moved them.

One of these blocks weighs over 1,500 tons, yet it was somehow carved, transported, and stacked with perfect precision thousands of years ago. The mystery of how and why it was built has divided historians, engineers, and archeologists for decades.

In this short documentary, we’ll explore the origins of Baalbek, who might have built it, and the incredible techniques that made it possible.
  • Baal [6][7][8] or Baʿal [9][a] was a title with the honorific meaning "lord" or "owner" in the Northwest Semitic languages spoken in the Levant during antiquity. From its use among people, it came to be applied to gods [11]. Scholars previously associated the theonym ("name of god") with solar cults and with a variety of unrelated patron deities, but inscriptions have shown that the name Baal was particularly associated with the storm and fertility god Hadad and his local manifestations [12]. The Ugaritic god Baal (𐎁𐎓𐎍) is the protagonist of one of the lengthiest surviving epics from the ancient Near East, the Baal Cycle. Known by epithets like “rider of the clouds” and “Victorious Baal,” he [like India's Indra/Sakra and ancient Greece's Zeus] was associated with rain, lightning, wind, fertility, and kingship, and was often depicted in opposition to sea and death deities like Yammu and Mot. More
From the colossal Trilithon stones to the legends of gods and giants, this investigation reveals why Baalbek remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of the ancient world.

The Asuras (Titans) of Buddhism and Hinduism

Asuras
(Sanskrit असुर) are a class of beings in Dharmic religions [1]. They are described as power-seeking beings related to the more benevolent Devas (also known as Suras) in Hinduism.
  • If Suras are "gods" then A-suras are "anti-gods." In Buddhism, they came to earth when Sakka (Indra), King of the Devas, through them out of his heaven (the Realm of the Thirty-Three), but as proof that Suras and Asuras very closely related, Sakka's wife is said to be an Asuran princess.
In a Buddhist context, the word Asura is translated as "titan," "demigod," and "antigod" [2]. According to Hindu texts, the Asuras are in constant fear of the Devas [3]: 2–6.

Asuras are described in Indian texts as powerful superhuman demigods with good or bad qualities. In early Vedic literature, the good Asuras are called Adityas and are led by Varuna, while the malevolent ones are called Danavas and are led by Vritra [4]: 4.

In the earliest layer of Vedic texts, Agni, Indra, and other gods (Devas) are also called Asuras, in the sense of their being "lords" of their respective domains, knowledge, and abilities.

In later Vedic and post-Vedic texts, the benevolent gods are called Devas, while malevolent Asuras compete against these Devas and are considered "enemy of the gods" [4][5].

Asuras are part of Hinduism along with Yakshas (ogres, shapeshifting nature protectors, monsters, spirits), Rakshasas (fierce man-eating ogres, ghouls, demons), Bhutas (ghosts), and many more.

Asuras have been featured in many cosmological theories and legends in Hinduism and Buddhism [6][7][8]. More
