The fact is the wandering ascetic Siddhartha realized this human body is not "in the way." Like happiness (sukha), it is the way. At least it can be.
The first instruction toward enlightenment is? Mindfulness of the body -- breathing, postures, and so on. It's all detailed in the Satipatthana Sutra.

What better way to move mindfully than the ancient Vedic rishi magic of "union" (yoga) with the breath (prana, spirit) and the All (advaita, our universal interconnectedness)?

It's easy to imagine that "yoga" is a bunch of beautiful gals and lithe guys capable of doing ballet, undressing into tights and athletic shirts so they can sweat while they pose. There's that. It's the face of the brand. But the brand is much older, much deeper, much more useful than flexibility and fulsome breathing. There's a point. The whole of yoga (union) is aimed at meditation and reaching samadhi ("stillness").

Anything can use the word. It needn't be from India nor linked to the Vedas, because "yoga" just means whatever the American industry can make of it. And that's money. One of the more woo-woo forms of yoga was invented by Yogi Bhajan, a turban-wearing Sikh promoter, who came to the U.S. to think and grow rich.

Sure there were sex scandals and profiteering, but don't think about that. He invented the company Yogi Tea, which has great boxes and too many synthetic "natural flavorings" (a term that means the artificial synthesis of a naturally occurring flavor) to recommend. Flavorants are artificial neurotoxins used to sell product not promote health. So when it says "natural flavor," read "artificial chemical" simulation of something real.

Yoga can get to seem that way when it's Yogi Bhajan's brand of Kundalini Yoga. That is a lot of what Joey is boohooing. It looks crazy. It's trying to give participants an experience, a head rush, a movement of kundalini (energy bundled at the base of the spine, which if opened too soon will make one cuckoo); shaktipat might be a better name for what Kundalini Yoga capitalists are trying to evoke so that people keep coming back. Anything goes.

American teachers want to patent something like convicted criminal Choudhry Bikram of Bikram Yoga infamy. Now it's Hot Yoga, keeping the overheated rooms and changing nearly everything else. But there are plenty of diehard Bikram fans still out there because it was anti-spiritual and all about the workout and kickstarting the endorphins, which is what city folk want. Cities have doshas (body types), too. It isn't just bodies. LA and NYC are very pitta (fiery). one can imagine a lot of kapha in Minnesota and vata in Hawaii.

All places and bodies have all three but usually suffer a predominance of one over the others, an imbalance. Kundalini Yoga is very vata (airy fairy), which will seem odd, silly, fake, and phony to New Yorkers like Joey.

Hatha Yoga joins sun and moon, yang and yin energies, though some say that's nonsense, arguing it has another meaning. With so many kinds of yoga, like all the martial arts there are now, what is Royal (Raja) Yoga, the ruler of all other types? It is this very eightfold path of yoga called Ashtanga:

The fruit was not an apple, nor does the Bible ever call it an apple. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil refers to DMT (the Spirit Molecule) and most likely came in the form of a magic mushroom or similar substance.
Syrian rue? Amanita muscaria? DMT forms - The Adam (Adama) was a generation of humans, not a man, and Eve (like the softer, darker, Yin energy of our feminine side) was a part of that new generation on Earth (the Garden) or some part of it, most likely more than one place.
- Eve was not the first woman; the woman before her was named Lilith.
- The "Serpent" was a reptilian humanoid, not a garden snake. (Was this being evil and misleading humans or a Sumerian god trying to free humans from their bondage and ignorance. See the pre-biblical Mesopotamian/Sumerian Enki and Enlil story in the history of humanity).
- And the "gods" and "God" were extraterrestrials manipulating genetics to create a race of beings out of previous races and species.
- The Jewish-Christian God had a wife; her name was Asherah, Queen of Heaven, and she was worshipped widely throughout polytheistic Israel, Palestine, and the Middle East with poles that depicted her until the great patriarchy smashed all of that and erased or rewrote the record.
- Not only is the Bible rewritten, redacted, partially forged, it is still being changed (Mandela Effect and in modern interpretations and translations, going from, for example, the Geneva to the King James Version that banned the previous Geneva version.
- In the beginning was not the beginning; there were earlier iterations.
- And the process is still going on.

This is cryptozoology taken seriously, forbidden paleontology, the unearthing of an enormous sea monster or aquatic creature, like a serpent or crocodile but a dinosaur of behemoth proportions. What has lived in the sea would boggle the mind, particularly the earth's long history of reptilians (nāgas) of various kinds -- humanoids, amphibians, shapeshifters, monsters, and "mighty beings," which is what naga means in its broadest Buddhist sense.

Vietnam's Mountain River Cave (Hang Sơn Đoòng) is a massive cave that belongs to the Phong Nha-Ke Bang grotto system in central Quang Binh Province, Ke Bang National Park, Vietnam. It is the biggest in the world.
Son Dong was discovered by a local man 18 years ago. It is more than 200 meters wide [1 meter = 3 feet], 150 meters high, and at least 6.5 kilometers [km = 1,000 meters] long.

Son Dong is much larger than Deer Cave in Malaysia, currently considered the world's largest, an explorer said. (Deer is only 90 meters wide, 100 meters high, and 2 kilometers long). The Son Dong cave has displaced it as the world's largest cave.

Imagine a rare experiencer of strange phenomena but who, unlike other "mystics," records strange visions for all to see using Super-8 video. Imagine no more, for her name is Stella Lansing, and here is footage of possible UFO alien communication.
