Pre-civilization pyramid found in Japan

Cunk asks all the right questions #CunkOnEarth - Neil de Grasse Tyson defends Black Egyptians

An 80-foot stepped pyramid off Japan may predate every civilization we can name
Beckham Langford, Morning Overview (MSN) June 2026
What else rests under Earth's vast oceans?
Off the Japanese coast of Yonaguni Island, divers have mapped an 80‑foot stepped formation. Some researchers are treating it as a possible submerged pyramid, others as a fractured slab of natural bedrock.

A scientific team applied surface irradiation dating and radiocarbon analysis to samples from the site and reported a formation age of about 10,000 years, raising the possibility that the structure predates every named civilization now in school textbooks.

The age estimate has turned a local curiosity into a live question about when organized construction first appeared in what is now Japan.

Why an 80-foot stepped pyramid off Japan matters now
Yonaguni pyramid ruins scuba diving expedition off of Ryukyu Islands, Japan
The central tension is no longer whether an amazing structure exists at Yonaguni, but what its age and origin say about early humans around the Westernmost Point of Japan.

If the stepped blocks at Iseki Point (Kaitei Iseki) formed around 10,000 years ago, as one scientific abstract reports, then any deliberate shaping would have happened long before the rise of states in the Middle East like Mesopotamia or Egypt's Nile Valley.
  • [But this dating would place it long after Gobekli Tepe, Karahan Tepe, and other sites like the pyramids of Egypt and Sudan/Nubia, which are possibly 25,000+ years old, to make no mention of Plato's mythical Atlantis or Mexico's Aztlán].
Location of Japan's Ryukyu Islands
That gap is what makes the site have global relevance rather than making it merely a regional diving attraction. The age estimate comes from samples collected at Iseki Point on the seafloor and analyzed with a surface irradiation dating method, according to an ETDE/OSTI bibliographic record.

The same record states that 14C age determination of attached fossils was used alongside irradiation data to estimate when the submarine ruins formed, and it gives a figure of about 10,000 years for that formation age.

Those numbers anchor the debate: If the structure is that old, any human role would push organized stonework in the region far earlier than currently documented...

Additional context comes from work that links the Yonaguni structure to the wider history of the Ryukyu Islands. A study cited through a digital object identifier treats the site within the paleogeography of the region and references “Paleogeography of Ryukyu Islands and” the submarine ruins off Yonaguni, Okinawa, Japan, according to the record for Kasekiken.

By placing the formation within a broader reconstruction of sea levels and island positions, that research frames the Iseki Point structure as one data point in a changing coastal system rather than as an isolated anomaly. More:

Why we humans drink alcohol (science)

Ah, man, the Five Precepts say no drinking?

The Five Buddhist Precepts (Etsy)
The fifth of the Five Precepts the Buddha advised humans to adopt is to abstain from intoxicants that occasion heedlessness such as alcohol, drugs, and such substances [12, 13].

The Five Precepts (guidelines for morality, virtue, human ethics, harmlessness, ahimsa) are called pañca-sīla, binding on all Buddhist laypeople. They are to abstain and refrain from:
  1. killing any living being
  2. stealing (taking what is not given)
  3. sexual misconduct
  4. false speech (which means speaking falsehoods or lying and malicious speech, harsh speech, and frivolous speech or "animal talk"* mislabeled as gossip)
  5. the use of intoxicants (such as beer and spirits or surāmeraya).
Avoid doing all harm and be happy.
Early Buddhist texts nearly always condemn alcohol as do Chinese Buddhist later post-canonical texts (of the Mahayana tradition).

Smoking is sometimes also included here. In modern times, traditional Buddhist countries have seen revival movements to promote the Five Precepts, the least good karma if we hope to ever be reborn on the human plane again and avoid the subhuman planes.

What are the Five Precepts?
In the West, the precepts play a major role in Buddhist organizations. They have also been integrated into mindfulness training programs -- though many modern "mindfulness" specialists, having changed the definition of "mindfulness" (which the Buddha called sati) to something that better suits them -- do not support this because of the precepts' spiritual religious import.

Lastly, many conflict prevention programs make use of the precepts. More

What do we do when drinking other than "animal talk"?

Back off, Bich! - Don't call me 'bich,' Birdbrain!
*What is "animal talk"? It is lowly speech, literally "beastly talk," the name the sutras (ancient texts) give for the following: "Talk about:
  • rulers and robbers [criminals in and out of office, like kings and robber barons],
  • politicians and armies,
  • dangers and wars,
  • eating and drinking,
  • fashion (frivolous clothing) and dwellings,
  • garlands and scents (baubles and cosmetics),
  • relationships (relatives),
  • vehicles (chariots),
  • villages and markets (real estate and shopping),
  • towns and districts,
  • women and heroes,
  • street talk,
  • gossipy talk by the well,
  • talk about the departed from days gone by,
  • tittle-tattle,
  • talk [speculation] about [the origin of the] world and ocean,
  • and talk about gain and loss" (A.X.69, etc.)
In the Commentaries, four further kinds of low talk are enumerated, bringing the total to 32 varieties, namely:
  1. talk about sensual enjoyment,
  2. self-mortification (tapas, penances),
  3. existing eternally (Eternalism)
  4. self-annihilation (Annihilationism).

Antarctica revealed (Linda Moulton Howe)

SEE: Linda Moulton Howe reveals what witnesses saw on Antarctica: "I must tell the truth"!

Our world is not a globe but rings and is hollow.
(Optic Expedition) Feb. 21, 2026: In 1982, a U.S. Navy flight engineer made an emergency landing on a ridge in Antarctica and saw something in the ice that was not supposed to be there.

It was geometric, angular, massive, made of a material that was neither ice nor rock. He was ordered never to speak of it. He signed papers that silenced him. He kept the secret for almost 20 years. Then, dying, he picked up the phone and called one person — Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist Linda Moulton Howe (earthfiles.com).

(YouTube Movies & TV) A hidden network of female journalists and activists are dedicated to UFO disclosure, so they uncover shocking truths about the U.S. government's firsthand knowledge of extraterrestrial (space alien, UFO, UAF) phenomena.

India's ancients knew of Agartha below us.
She recorded every word he said. Then she waited because over the next 25 years, more witnesses called: Navy personnel, scientists, U.S. contractors, NORAD officers, all of them describing pieces of the same thing buried beneath Antarctic ice.

All of them had been silenced, all of them. One by one, deciding before they died that she was the only person they trusted to tell the world. Now, at age 81, Linda Moulton Howe has finally compiled every testimony, every coordinate, every classified detail — and she is talking.

She has said, "Before I die, I must tell the truth — because the people who told me these things are dying. And if I do not share what they revealed, this knowledge dies with us." This is what they found.

Great Pyramid: 20K-y.-o. lost civilization?

For more than a century, Egyptologists have dated the Great Pyramid at Giza in Cairo ("Mars"), Egypt, to around 2580 BC, about 4,600 years ago.

A controversial new study now claims the monument could be tens of thousands of years older.

Italian engineer Alberto Donini from the University of Bologna said erosion patterns at the pyramid's base suggest it may have been built between 20,000 and 40,000 years ago, far earlier than the conventional timeline. [This idea was stolen from much braver investigators who made the claim and brought forward the evidence for it long ago.]

Donini's Relative Erosion Method (REM) estimated the pyramid's age by comparing how much erosion occurred on stones exposed since construction with nearby stones whose exposure time is known. By measuring the difference in wear, he calculated how long the older stones have been exposed, producing dates that far exceed traditional estimates.

The study, which has not yet been peer-reviewed, examined 12 points around the pyramid's base. Some measurements suggested tens of thousands of years of erosion, with the average pointing to roughly 25,000 years.

Donini also proposed that Pharaoh Khufu may have renovated the pyramid rather than built it, potentially revising assumptions about its original authorship.

If the dates proposed by Donini are accurate, the Great Pyramid could predate not only the reign of Khufu but also the rise of any known advanced civilizations, raising fundamental questions about human history and architectural knowledge in the distant past.

Archeologists have long dated the Great Pyramid to about 4,600 years old. But an engineer has proposed the iconic structure is much older

The Great Pyramid of Giza, the largest of the three pyramids on the Giza Plateau, [is said to have been] built by Pharaoh Khufu during Egypt's Fourth Dynasty. It sits alongside the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx, all shrouded in mystery due to their precise alignment, unusual construction methods, and debated purpose. Pyramid Review: Exploring Mexican sites

(Pyramid Review) Yaxchilan: The most inaccessible archeological site in Mexico, Jan. 29, 2026

Yaxchilan necropolis ruins (Wikipedia)
Yaxchilan
(yacht-chee-lan) is an ancient Maya city located on the bank of the Usumacinta River in the southern state of Chiapas, Mexico, near Guatemala (named after the Buddha Gautama plus the word mala or religious beads*). In the Late Classic Period, Yaxchilan was one of the most powerful Maya states along the course of the Usumacinta River, with Piedras Negras ("Black Rocks") as its major rival [1]. Architectural styles in subordinate sites in the Usumacinta region demonstrate clear differences that mark a clear boundary between the two kingdoms [1]. More: Yaxchilan, Mexico

Mysteries of Asia: Yonaguni (Mu, Lemuria)

Remnants of ancient Mu (Lemuria)?
The Yonaguni Monument (Japanese 与那国島海底地形) refers to Yonaguni-jima Kaitei Chikei, literally, "Yonaguni Island Submarine Topography," possibly a remnant of the Land of Mu (mythical lost continent).
The manmade structures are also called the "Yonaguni (Island) Submarine Ruins" or 与那国(島)海底遺跡, Yonaguni-jima Kaitei Iseki.

This submerged rock formation rests off the coast of Yonaguni, the southernmost of the Ryukyu Islands, in Japan. It lies approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) east of Taiwan. More: Yonaguni

Where is Yonaguni?

Yonaguni (Japanese 与那国島, Hepburn Yonaguni-jima, Dunan-chima, older Juni-shima [2], Yunoon-zïma, Yunaguni-jima), one of the Yaeyama Islands, is the westernmost island of Japan [3], lying between the East China Sea and the Philippine Sea.

A mere 107.4 kilometers (58.0 nmi, 66.7 miles) separate the island from Taiwan at their closest points. It is administered as the town of Yonaguni, Yaeyama Gun, Okinawa, and there are three settlements: Sonai, Kubura, and Higawa.

There have been discussions to establish direct ferry services with Taiwan in order to bolster tourism. More: Yonaguni

Java's pyramid hill: Gunung Padang

Gunung Padang: Indonesia’s terraced pyramid and the lost civilization
(Business Hook) Sept. 12, 2025: Gunung Padang, located in formerly Buddhist (now predominantly Muslim) Java, Indonesia, is an ancient megalithic site that has sparked significant debate among archeologists and geologists.

Initially discovered in 1914 and rediscovered in 1979, the pyramid site contains massive stone blocks arranged in terraces, suggesting a complex structure.
In 2011, further exploration revealed evidence of human-made layers beneath the surface, dating back up to 28,000 years, far earlier than known civilizations like the Sumerians and Egyptians.

The discovery of advanced construction techniques, ancient artifacts, and possibly mystical properties challenges existing historical narratives and raises questions about the origins of human civilization, making Gunung Padang a key site in rewriting history.

Found: Lost civilization in Mexico

The country of Texas, rebel Mexican territory

In the Tlayócoc cave in Mexico, traces of a mysterious civilization from over 500 years ago have been discovered.

This find is the result of a cartographic expedition led by Yekaterina Katiya Pavlova and Adrián Beltrán Dimas.

During the expedition in the Tlayócoc cave, Yekaterina Katiya Pavlova and local guide Adrián Beltrán Dimas came across a hidden chamber. There, they found items that may indicate the existence of a lost civilization from more than 500 years ago. This discovery has sparked the interest of scientists from around the world.
Mysterious artifacts in the cave
Among the finds were shell bracelets, a large snail shell, and fragments of stone disks resembling pyrite mirrors. According to INAH (the Mexican National Institute of Anthropology and History), these objects may have been used for ritual purposes.

Archeologists discovered symbols on them that could be related to ancient beliefs.
Miguel Perez, an INAH archeologist, emphasizes that the discovery is of great importance for understanding the culture and symbolism of pre-Hispanic (before Spanish conquest) societies that inhabited the Sierra de Guerrero.

The findings may help interpret their cosmology and rituals related to fertility and creation.

History of the Sierra de Guerrero region
The Sierra de Guerrero region, where the discovery was made, was inhabited by the Tlacotepehaus ethnic group during the post-classic period, between 950 and 1521 AD. The area was abandoned due to extreme weather conditions, which made life difficult for its inhabitants.
Symbolism and significance of the artifacts Cuauhtemoc Reyes Alvarez from INAH suggests that the symbols on the bracelets may be related to cosmology concerning creation and fertility.

Caves might have been perceived as portals to the underworld or sacred spaces connected with divinity.
