Pope's message to Israel on its genocide

Whose side will Trump take, Bibi's or Gaza's?
(MoneyControl) The American pope is taking a stand against Israel and fellow Chicagoan Dictator Prime Minister Benji Netanyahu, who was recruited and groomed by the CIA to take the leadership role in the new State of Israel, even through scandals and defeats that would have removed any other candidate from still holding the position.

Israeli intelligence has proof that Iran is a danger to us, so we're going to bomb them for their safety. We'll be taking out nuclear production sites, contaminating the area for millions of years.

Is it the 'New Age' yet? What is that?

Rebel Christians: Fox's Quakers in US

The Quakers: History, Beliefs, Paradoxes | Society of Friends
(Captivating History) Many other mainline Protestant Christians viewed George Fox and the Quakers as a dangerous sect, so much so that they pressured the British Parliament to pass the Quakers Act of 1662.
  • Why were so many Colonists (Pilgrims) Quakers? We were taught those settler colonialists were all [hateful, genocidal] Puritans. When Puritans tortured Quakers
This act set forth in law the “prescribed form” of prayer and worship as designated by the state. It was a formula that specifically left the traditions of the Quakers out.

Unable to gain acceptance in England, the Quakers would soon leave the place of their origin altogether and try their luck in a brave New World on another continent.

Who is the founder of Quakerism (Society of Friends)?
Quaker George Fox
George Fox (1624-1691 O.S.) was an English Dissenter and a founder of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly known as the Quakers.

The son of a Leicestershire weaver, he lived in times of social upheaval and war. He rebelled against religious and political authorities by proposing an unusual, uncompromising approach to the Christian faith.

He travelled throughout Britain as a dissenting preacher, performed hundreds of healings, and was often persecuted by the disapproving authorities [3].

In 1669, he married Margaret Fell, widow of wealthy supporter Thomas Fell; she was a leading Friend (Quaker).

His ministry expanded, and he toured North America and the three Low Countries in Europe.

He was arrested and jailed numerous times for his radical beliefs. He spent his final decade working in London to organize the expanding Quaker movement.

Despite disdain from some Puritans and Anglicans, he was viewed with respect by the American Quaker convert William Penn and the Lord Protector Oliver Cromwell. More

(Let's Talk Religion) This episode explores the fascinating life of /the wandering hippie vegetarian sage Apollonius of Tyana, a Neopythagorean philosopher whose life in many ways mirrors that of Jesus Christ. He went to India to study with the Brahmins, the source of Pythagorean theory and gnostic knowledge, casting out demons, raising the dead... #Apollonius #PaganJesus

Who is Apollonius of Tyana, source of many Jesus of Nazareth myths?.
Apollonius of Tyana
Apollonius of Tyana [\app-puh-lone-ee-us of tee-ann-uh\] (Ancient Greek Ἀπολλώνιος, Arabic بلينس;, Sanskrit अपालुन्य, circa 15–circa 100 AD [2]) was a wandering sage with mystic powers, possibly the source of many of the stories of Jesus of Nazareth.

He was a first-century Greek philosopher and religious leader from the town of Tyana, Cappadocia in Roman Anatolia, who spent his life as a celibate wanderer, traveling and teaching in the Middle East, North Africa (Israel), and South Asia (India).

I raise the dead, learned in India
He is a central figure in Neopythagoreanism and was one of the most famous "miracle workers" of his day.

His exceptional personality and his mystical way of life, which was regarded as exemplary, impressed his contemporaries and had a lasting cultural influence.

Numerous legends surrounding him and accounts of his life are contained in the extensive Life of Apollonius, which collects a large part of the legendary material about his life and work.

A sage bunny wanders and sits in silence.
A large part of the ancient legends of Apollonius consists of numerous reports about miracles that he was said to have performed as a wandering sage (Indian-style shramana) with his lifelong companion Damis. [This is an echo of the Buddha and Ananda.]

He was tried for allegedly having used magic as a means of conspiring against the emperor; after his conviction and subsequent death-penalty, his followers believed he underwent heavenly ascension [3]. Most modern scholars of antiquity agree that Apollonius existed historically [4, 5]. More

Easter and the Goddess Ishtar
(RevivalProphecy) This video is a presentation detailing the connection between the worship of the Babylonian Goddess Ishtar and apostate Christian practices, exemplified by the Holy Roman Imperial Catholic observance of "Easter." The so-called Easter worship in nominal (in-name-only) Christianity. It is 100% paganism and 0% true Christian practice.

Why the heck would anybody be Buddhist?

I spent one month studying Buddhism. It changed me.
(Nas Daily) Feb. 15, 2024: This is Month 1 of my six-month Spirituality Challenge. I went super deep into Buddhism. And I came out a changed man. Let me tell you the story. Thanks to @BuddhismInEnglish for sharing your wisdom. See you next month for a video about the world's oldest religion: [the Old Vedic religion adopted by] Hinduism [which was only organized as a "religion" by Adi Shankara in 725 CE]. Thanks for watching Nas Daily, bringing people together, which is why it creates content that does exactly that.

WQ CORRECTIONS
: The Buddha (born Prince Siddhartha Gautama) was born in Gandhara (modern-day Afghanistan a little west of Nepal along the same mountain range, the foothills of the Himalayas at a portion called the Hindu Kush), probably in the town of Bamiyan but moving between three seasonal capitals in an ancient place the texts called Kapilavastu, probably ancient Kabul and Mes Aynak, the site of the world's largest unexcavated Buddhist temple complex, which is thought to be at least one square mile in size. For political reasons and ethnoreligious tensions, the Buddha had to be relocated in history (not in physical reality) from Muslim Afghanistan and Indo-Pakistan east closer to India. Nepal was selected as that faraway place possibly because it might have been the site of the original Lumbini, though that likely was in or around Sistan-Baluchestan in the "Aryan" (Aryian = Iranian = Persian) land of Sakastan/Scythia that is now a land between Afghanistan and Iran. Why Buddhism?

Handbook of Buddhist Wisdom
Yeah, Doug, "Why Buddhism?" What's the point of the Dharma, the Buddha's Teaching, particularly if one takes a secular slant? Can't we just OBEY the God, bow to his son, thank his Holy Mother (or worship his former-wife Asherah), and be done with religion? Get the holidays, send in a check, and otherwise ignore it, Y'know, "God is dead" and all that.

(Doug's Dharma) March 25, 2024: Why Buddhism? 🧡 Doug discusses a couple of quick reasons why someone might want to consider adopting a Buddhist outlook and Buddhist practice in life.

Weds. Peace Class w/ Mandy Kahn (Zoom)

Mandy KahnHeartsong (Meetup); Dhr. Seven (ed.), Wisdom Quarterly
Mandy Kahn | Los Angeles Meetup
Peace Class is a free, interactive online gathering to manifest inner peace and establish world peace. It is led by Mandy Kahn and takes place every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm (Pacific Time) via Zoom. ALL are welcome to attend.

The building of world peace is the establishing of inner peace. So our global contribution, as a participant in this peace circle, is profound.

Each class meeting includes a short talk that focuses on one aspect of the nature of peace, followed by journaling as a peace-building practice. This provides each participant the opportunity to develop a set of peace-building skills that may be used at any time.

Friends MLK Jr. and Thich Nhat Hanh on peace
Each class is an hour and includes a brief peace meditation, teachings about pioneer peacebuilders like Peace Pilgrim, and the opportunity to share personal peace-building discoveries with the group.

The peace circle is grateful to be joined by peace advocates from around the world in this love-filled, supportive space.

What part of peace, love, and understanding are you not understanding? Hugs for everyone!
.
Gandhi was inspired by Jesus, MLK by Gandhi
Each meeting is a stand-alone lesson. Feel free to drop in for a single class or the entire series.

Participants also have the option of keeping Zoom cameras off and just observing, if that contributes to a feeling of greater comfort.

This class is an online how-to, exploring a range of topics that include:
  • How to engage the healing perspective of a peace mind
  • How self-love builds world peace
  • How stepping out of the guilt cycle allows inner peace to occur naturally
  • How to build a healing ceasefire
  • How inner peace evolves our physical bodies
