This is a real Texas security cam image showing a witch skin-walker? Wendigo? Hoaxer? Dogman? Werewolf/wolfman cryptid with odd gait for a man in a costume? (magazine.todo)
Nothing to see here. Oh, that? That's just light and shadow illusion. Tree stump? Loose bark?
.
The Buddha reasons with abusive Alavaka.
What does Buddhism know about cryptids? Buddhism, like the other older Dharmic religions Vedic Brahmanism (now morphed into Hinduism) and Jainism, have long history of acknowledging non-human creatures in, on, and above the earth. There are monsters, ogres, reptilians, shapeshifters, gnomes, fairies, avians, and giants (maras. yakkhas, nagas, petas, kumbhandas, bhumi-devas, garudas, and asuras respectively). Among these, the cannibal ghouls known as ogres (yakkhas, yakshas, rakshasas, yakshis, yetis) are very smart humanoid creatures.
They are able to communicate with humans, take human "wives," and be reasoned with except in their ferocity and rapacity. They are sometimes in possession of advanced ET technology and dwellings, with psychic powers and preternatural strength, fierce emotions and lust. They are very dangerous and liable to attack humans. The most famous one found in Buddhist sutras is the Yakkha Alavaka. Others dwell in the Himalayas and in woodland, forests, and wilderness areas.
Some Natives not only saw them, they interacted and sometimes intermarried. They're human.
Is the cryptid Yeti ("Asian Bigfoot") a man or a bear? It is a meh teh (a "man bear")
Joshua Cutchin/Timothy Renner
Dogmen (lycanthropes, humanoid wolves) are real, and the wendigo goes by many W names, according to different Algonquin tribes. Others may have the Sasquatch tribe (hominin cryptids) to contend with, some of which are cannibal rapists and skin-walkers. Not all Bigfoot are bad, just it seems the unattached juveniles wilding and running rampant in the forest, stealing food and violating boundaries.
Not simply an animal species
The elder yakkhas and rakshasas ("forest guardians," "nature protectors") -- with fierce females of the species, the yakshis and yetis -- can't always rein in the youths entering puberty or their rutting season and must cut them loose. They then violate a cardinal rule to avoid human tribes.
Because these creatures are not strictly flesh and bone but in possession of technology or the paranormal ability to transform into orbs, alight in the middle of a field after a long set of footprints or enter the earth through crevices, caves, caverns, tunnels, or straight into rock (as with the rock-dwelling Tahquitz), tracking them is dangerous and confounding. Search parties become cases of high strangeness.
Windigo: The Flesh-Eating Monster of Native American Legend | Monstrum
.
Portals: Teleport in, phase shifted disappearances
(Storied) This cannibal monster (yakkha, yakshi, rakshasa, naga, yeti, sasquatch) hunts during the coldest time of the year, traveling with the snow to terrorize humans with its insatiable hunger.
Ignore folklore. Come into the woods
Armed with sharp claws and teeth and capable of running with incredible speed, the wendigo, or windigo, is a lesson in excess and a manifestation of the anxieties that emerge in the harsh realities of winter — to survive it.
Explore the symbolic interpretations of the wendigo with Dr. Emily Zarka, who explains how this Native American legend can teach us about the spiritual beliefs and social values of the early indigenous peoples of North America.
Huge thanks to Dr. Will Oxford (Department of Linguistics at the University of Manitoba) for his time and assistance with the various pronunciations and spellings of the Algonquian languages used in this episode.

Killer origins of the werewolf | Monstrum
(Storied) Long before a full moon could transform a human into a beast, the werewolf (lycanthrope) was present across the literature, lore, and mythologies of ancient Europe. Whether a punishment for the wicked, a cure for the unlucky, or a blessing for the strong, the human to wolf shapeshifter is almost always violent. Real wolves posed a real threat to humans and their livestock, but how did these predators come to be associated with cannibalism, sorcery, and mental illness (lunacy)? The first in a two-part series, featuring werewolf expert and Gothic scholar Dr. Kaja Franck, this episode tackles the rise of the werewolf in its myriad forms, looking at what happened when Catholicism/Christianity interceded and turned the werewolf into the embodiment of evil — a change that reached its devastating climax with the persecution and execution of accused werewolves and the murder of countless wolves. #werewolf #mythology #werewolftrials #MonstrumPBS

UPDATE: Violent pro-Israel counter-protester at UCLA caught on camera beating student
(The Hill) May 16, 2024: WASHINGTON, DC (the largest American city outside of the USA). Briahna Joy Gray and Robby Soave discuss an investigation into a right-wing pro-Israel Zionist Jewish Israeli-American teen from Beverly Hills, who went to counter-protest at UCLA. He has now been caught on tape committing felony assault, but his parents stand behind him. He was just preparing for his trip to Israel to join the IDF. #ucla#counterprotest

It's important to listen and to understand the opposition. If this gentleman wants to be a pro-genocide, pro-militarism, pro-Israel, pro-Zionism, pro-apartheid troll, let that be his choice. He may use his white male privilege to be an influencer, moneymaker, or comedian at others' expense. Let him. Censorship is for others, not us.
If PM Bibi wants to come on and talk about how he enjoys killing babies and hates Palestinians for making him kill them in the spirit of PM Golda Meir, we would welcome him.
We have Yankee supporters like this guy? Nice!
We'd like to ask him a few things. There really are frat boys like this on campus, fully in support of the police, riot tricks and tactics, sexism, racism, ignorance, and everything wrong with our world.
Will Danny Mullen look back on his behavior with pride and still think it's funny as the world descends into greater turmoil?

Mysterious Middle East, May 19, 2022; Pat Macpherson, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Are DMT entities dangerous and what did the Ancient Egyptians know?
(Mysterious Middle East) Unlike Pharaoh Akhenaten's "blue lotus," Egyptian authorities in the 21st century say a modern-day pill called "the blue elephant" is a dangerous type of DMT (dimethyltryptamine), which can lead to madness and worse.
People who experience it say they travel to another dimension or world filled with strange entities. But where is this world and who or what are these entities?
Can quantum mechanics help us understand? And is DMT really as safe as everyone says it is?

Seth Auberon, Pat Macpherson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly; Barnabas Nagy
Barnabas Nagy (barnabasnagy.com) singlehandedly investigates something very strange. He is looking into a very strange phenomenon right under our noses, the faking of history. What is the actual shape of the earth, and why does it matter enough to manipulate the information? Why lie?
Flat Earth: Paid flat earth trolls and why the globe lie is important
Things are covered up, and cover stories are set up with the flimsiest of staged photographic support. Nagy breaks it down: We have been fed an artificial American, European, New Zealand, Australian history. Maps have been changed, but fortunately older maps still exist showing another history. Moreover, new information and new lines of evidence keep rolling in. Tartaria (Tartary) had electricity and advanced technology, with very large humans and artifacts and a mud flood? If not then who can explain away what Nagy is questioning?
Fake History: Invented 5,000+ years, no tombstones earlier than i625
Barnabas Nagy
(March 26, 2019) I could not find tombstones earlier than iactual625. That would, consequently, mean that it's not just 1,000 years that have been made up but more than 5,600 years (if we take 6,000 years of human history for granted). Ancestry profiles do not show timelines earlier than 1700s either, so I challenge everyone to find the oldest gravestone in their local cemetery.
This is the feature-length Expedition Sasquatch, a new documentary about searching for Sasquatch. (These beasts are a class of very intelligent, if sometimes cannibalistic, creatures Buddhist cosmology and mythology call rakshasas, yakshis, and Yetis). The search is conducted in Nordegg, Alberta, Canada just above the northern American border. This area has become increasingly popular among researchers and enthusiasts due to the baffling tree structures found here.
The search is on for more definitive evidence like Dr. Melba Ketchum published.
What are these creatures?
We're humanoid ogres is what we are.
Rākṣasas(Sanskrit राक्षस) are a type of being found in Buddhism and Hinduism relegated to mythology (see also Hindu mythology). They are called "maneaters" (nri-chakshas,kravyads).
Ancient Vedic lore influenced many later Indian religions, like Buddhism, which incorporated these and other nonhuman creatures into its view of life on this planet. Females are known as rakshasis, which in human form are called raksheshas. Like the yakshi (Yeti), they are often said to be fiercer than the males. The terms asura ("Titan") and rakshasa are often used interchangeably. Mara, for example, is called a yakkha ("ogre") or rakshasa, which is explained as a "corrupted asura."
"Bigfoot" in Buddhism
In Buddhism's Alavaka Sutra (Pali canon,SN 10.12) tells the story of the Buddha being harassed by a rakshasa named Alavaka. The creature orders the Buddha to leave this spot then to return, over and over.
When the Buddha finally refuses to leave, the ogre -- which possesses psychic powers, as they often do -- threatens the Buddha telling him he will do unspeakable things to him unless he is able to answer some questions.
The rest of the sutra concerns the dialogue of questions and answers. In the end, the rakshasa is convinced of the Buddha's enlightenment and becomes a follower.
Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) ancestral legends refer to them as Yakshas and the females as Yakshis. In Nepal they are Yetis, "Abominable Snow Creatures."
What'd I say, right? Designer

Goop event in Los Angeles (Michael Buckner/Getty Images/latimes.com)
When Gwyneth Paltrow stirred controversy this week by comparing her
daily struggles with Internet trolls to the “dehumanizing” experience of
soldiers at war, she messed with the wrong woman: Cindy McCain [wife of the horrible, Sarah Palin-picking, NDAA-promoting, Ukraine-stirring, Hillary-loving, Vietnam POW and Senate Republican war hawk].
Hearing
about Paltrow’s comments, the wife of Arizona Sen. John McCain took to
Twitter, calling the actress “a joke” and stating that “My 2 sons
serving in the military should talk to her.” (McCain’s son Jimbo served
in Iraq as a Marine, and her son Jack is a Navy lieutenant).
“I
would encourage Gwyneth Paltrow -- and I would be happy to go with her
-- to go sit down with some troops who have served in Afghanistan or
Iraq and talk to them about what really goes on, and perhaps meet some
of the young men and women who have lost limbs from this,” Cindy McCain
said on HLN Now TV. “It’s Hollywood; I don’t know what else to say.” More

Church-friendly Saint Nicholas has a evil twin in diabolical Krampus.
Far from limiting their mayhem to a coal in one's stocking [where magic mushrooms delivered by the local shaman were once dried over the fire], there is going to be trouble, molestation, abduction, and beatings galore for "naughty" behavior.
Is it parents enacting trauma on subsequent generations of imperial conquerors extending back to at least Roman and Greek times? What else explains this anti-indigenous behavior? Krampus is a troll, an ogre (yakkha) in Buddhist cosmology.
In Buddhism the root of "evil" or "unwholesome" (akusala) karma is threefold: greed, hate/fear, and delusion. What used to be an outlet for child abuse is now an invitation to unbridled greed, craving, and trying to satisfy our childish desires in an orgy of presents, sugary treats, and gluttony. Read all about grumpy Krampus at Amoeba.com.
The word Krampus (sometimes spelled "Grampus," like the grumpy grandpa that, like a lecherous satyr, although it is taboo to say so, molested children) is a derivation of the old German word for “claw,” connecting him to popular conceptions of modern Satan Claws.
