Java's pyramid hill: Gunung Padang

Gunung Padang: Indonesia’s terraced pyramid and the lost civilization
(Business Hook) Sept. 12, 2025: Gunung Padang, located in formerly Buddhist (now predominantly Muslim) Java, Indonesia, is an ancient megalithic site that has sparked significant debate among archeologists and geologists.

Initially discovered in 1914 and rediscovered in 1979, the pyramid site contains massive stone blocks arranged in terraces, suggesting a complex structure.
In 2011, further exploration revealed evidence of human-made layers beneath the surface, dating back up to 28,000 years, far earlier than known civilizations like the Sumerians and Egyptians.

The discovery of advanced construction techniques, ancient artifacts, and possibly mystical properties challenges existing historical narratives and raises questions about the origins of human civilization, making Gunung Padang a key site in rewriting history.

American Stonehenge found under lake

Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
A henge is an arrangement of stones, usually near a kurgan, like Adam's Calendar. Found in US?

There are many henges, most of them in Ireland, all eclipsed by the modified in modern times Stonehenge, which was arranged with large machinery about 50 years ago, bringing into question research on its amazing symmetry or celestial alignment. Yet the famous Neolithic Irish sites get nearly no press, perhaps because of war and oppression brought on by neighboring Britain.

Ice Age? Arctic blast hits 23 states (video)

ABC Corporate News, 1/16/24; Just Have a Think; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

Is a mini ice age coming?
(Just Have a Think) Dec. 1, 2019: The big freeze that hit the United States in October of 2019 was the coldest for 10 years with sub-zero temperatures as far south as the Grand Canyon, Arizona, and some northern regions enduring temperatures of -45F. These record weather events are becoming a regular feature of our changing seasons. And when they arrive, they seem to be sticking around for longer. New research from Rice University this month (12/19) has revealed a surprising link between these extreme cold events and global warming.

Snow, blizzard, rain, extreme US weather

Even Southern California got snow with sunshine
From blizzards to torrential rain, extreme weather dominates across the U.S.

The severe weather has canceled hundreds (perhaps thousands) of flights, knocked out power for hundreds of thousands of households, and disrupted campaigning in Iowa ahead of Monday's caucuses. More: From blizzards to torrential rain, extreme weather dominates across the US: NPR

Big East Coast storm to hit US this weekend

At a Glance
  • A winter storm will likely affect parts of the East with snow, rain, and wind this weekend.
  • The snowfall forecast for this system is still uncertain, especially for areas near the I-95 corridor.
  • The storm's future track, intensity, and how much cold air will be available are three of the uncertainties.
This is nothing compared to North Asia
A winter storm will likely produce snow, rain, and wind on the East Coast this weekend, but uncertainty remains at this early stage given questions about the storm's track, intensity, and how much cold air will be available near the coast.

Here is where the storm is now and where it is headed the next few days: The disturbance that will help spur the storm's development in the East will track from the Southwest toward the Central Plains into Friday.

Below is a look at the latest radar, showing where this system is producing rain and snow in the West right now. Snowfall totals will generally be light to moderate from the southern Rockies into parts of Kansas and the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. More

Proof science is wrong: Great Unconformity

ReYOUniverse, July 2, 2023; Sheldon S., CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Where did a billion years of Earth's history go?
(ReYOUniverse) Who knew a quarter of the Earth's geologic history is missing? It's not that we can't find evidence. It's that the evidence doesn't exist, physically.

Grand Canyon has three layers
This is not a joke, not an exaggeration, not a conspiracy. It's a scientific fact. (So much for science). It has an equally mysterious name: The Great Unconformity. Today we learn:
  • Where and why did a 14-kilometer layer of soil disappear without a trace across the planet?
  • What is the connection between the Grand Canyon [or the even grander Copper Canyon in Mexico] and the mountain ranges in Australia?
  • How did the deadliest winter in the history of the planet become the cradle of vibrant life?
  • Who turned off Earth's magnetic field 500 million years ago?
We're off to explore the mystery of the grandest event in planetary history, the mystery of the Great Unconformity. #reyouniverse  #ryv_earth

Older than Gobekli Tepe: Boncuklu Tarla

Gregon (The Daily Grail, May 20, 2023); Eds., Wisdom Quarterly
One hundred thousand carved beads have been found at the Boncuklu Tarla site so far.

Boncuklu Tarla: A megalithic site predating Göbekli Tepe
Couple of skeletons buried in an embrace.
The uncovering of the stunning megalithic architecture of Göbekli Tepe in modern-day Turkey (Türkiye) between Europe and Asia less than three decades ago turned our view of prehistory upside down.

Its massive T-shaped pillars predate the pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge by 6,000 or 7,000 years.

While it took the spotlight, archeologists in the area continued finding similar sites with impressive architecture dating back the same mind-boggling stretch in time, more than 10,000 years before present.

One of the sites that has become well-known recently is Karahan Tepe (after it was covered in Graham Hancock’s Netflix series Ancient Apocalypse). However, a lesser-known site lies further to the east, and it may end up being even more important: Boncuklu Tarla.
Discovered during construction work on Ilısu Dam in 2008, it has undergone excavation over the last 11 years. It has already turned up many things. Like the other ancient sites of that time in Turkey, Boncuklu Tarla features a walled "temple" with rock pillars – but they appear to predate Göbekli Tepe by a thousand years or more. (The pillars don’t appear to be as impressive).

The earliest layer of the site dates back a staggering 13,000 years. What’s more, the excavation over the past 11 years has worked through multiple layers, with dating of those layers suggesting that it was occupied for about 4,000 years – from around 11,000 to 7,000 BCE.

The documentary Traces: Boncuklu Tarla offers an early look at the site and excavations, along with extended interviews with the lead archeologist Dr. Ergül Kodaş:..

Another surprising discovery appears to be a sewer system that dates back 12,000 years. This architectural feature shows yet again that humans that came out of the last Ice Age were anything but primitive. More

When Blacks ruled in Europe: The Moors (doc)

Bettany Hughes (bettanyhughes.co.uk); Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

Join British historian Bettany Hughes as she examines a long-buried chapter of European history -- the rise and fall of Islamic culture in Europe in what is now Spain and Portugal [and the Basque region of the Iberian Peninsula?].

Although generations of Spanish rulers have tried to expunge this era from the historical record, recent archeology and scholarship now shed fresh light on the Moors who flourished in Al-Andalus for more than 700 years.

This fascinating documentary destroys old stereotypes and offers shocking new insights.

Discover the ingenious mathematics behind Granada’s dazzling Alhambra Palace, trace El Cid’s lineage to his Moorish roots, and learn how the Iberian population left Christianity and willingly converted to Islam [to align with the power elite as many go Christian now] in droves.

Through interviews with noted scholars, see how Moorish advances in mathematics, astronomy, art, and agriculture helped propel the West out of the Dark Ages and into the Renaissance.

What emerges is a richly detailed portrait of a sensuous, inquisitive, and remarkably progressive Islamic culture in Christian EuropeWhen the Moors Ruled in Europe (2005) - IMDb

Light on Dark Ages: Black rulers in Europe

Scott Reeves (loveexploring.com via MSN, 4/4/23); B. Hughes; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

We can blame 14th-century scholar Petrarch for believing the "Dark Ages" were a time of primitive living.

[Actually, as British historian Bettany Hughes makes perfectly clear, it was the time when for seven centuries Europe was ruled by "the Moors," Black rulers from North African, who prospered at this time then were assiduously erased from white history books.]

For centuries afterwards, historians repeated his idea that the early medieval period – roughly AD 400 to AD 1100 – was a dismal era when Western Europeans forgot the great achievements of classical antiquity in [Mediterranean] Greece, [Latin] Rome, [Middle Eastern] Persia, and beyond.

But many archeological discoveries found in the centuries since suggest that the Dark Ages weren’t so bleak after all. Join in the exploration of the surprisingly advanced civilizations of the not-so Dark Ages. More
When the Moors Ruled in Europe
This a documentary film presented by English historian Bettany Hughes, a two-part series on the contribution Black people from Africa and Spain (the part of Europe that borders Africa), the Moors, made to Europe during their 700-year reign in Spain and Portugal ending in the 15th century.

It was first broadcast on Channel 4 on Saturday Nov. 5, 2005, having been filmed in the Spanish region of Andalusia, mostly in the cities of Granada, Cordoba, and the Moroccan city of Fes in Africa.

The era ended with the Reconquista ("reconquest") during which Catholic authorities burned over 1,000,000 Arabic texts of wisdom, math, history, religion, and architecture. More

Graham Hancock's "Ancient Apocalypse"

Ancient Apocalypse | official trailer | Netflix
(Netflix) Oct. 19, 2022. What if everything we know about prehistoric humans is wrong? Journalist Graham Hancock visits archeological sites around the world to uncover whether a civilization far more advanced than we ever believed possible existed thousands of years ago. They were far more advanced than we are now, and we have been lied to that we are at the apex of evolution and civilization when we are not.

This is how America ends
(The Jimmy Dore Show) Nov. 27, 2022. Twitter user "Turncoat Don" has put together a powerful video juxtaposing newscasters' announcements of ongoing and increased government spending on the US proxy war on Russia in Ukraine with footage of other newscasters describing the worsening problem of homelessness in American communities across the country. Jimmy Dore plays the Turncoat Don video and details the mounting evidence that the American Empire is steadily declining and that our days as a global superpower are numbered. #TheJimmyDoreShow

These are not the only things encompassed by the term, but they are three none of us are likely to be able to outstrip or escape. They will catch up to us. And if we are not freed of samsara by then, we will rue the day we were born. This is not a problem only once. These three happen endlessly due to rebirth. It is not only in this life that we will lose everything. It is all hurtling toward destruction. The Buddha provided a perfect solution, but ordinary people want only more birth (and therefore by default more death) and rebirth in better places. Virtue (morality) is enough to get that. For higher, more superlative worlds, samadhi (jhana) is needed. To transcend rebirth altogether, wisdom is needed.

Behold, 30 uber-beautiful Hollywood starlets who have changed for the worse. See how they looked then, in the 1960-1980s, and what they look like now, circa 2021.

**MADONNA: (Subreddit 64) /StBlaschek Feb 28 '20 edited Feb 28 '20) If it's any help, her Wikipedia page has been heavily edited, so I wouldn't take what it says too seriously.

I checked the edit history, and there are hundreds of edits, and most of them are silly. If I were you, and since it bothers you and your friend so much, I'd look through the edit history and see if her birth name has been changed.

Edit: I about drowned myself in wiki edits, but I found one from 2014 citing an article that discussed her legally changing her name to "Madonna Louise Ciccone" back in 2012. Why the heck would she legally change her name to "Madonna" if she was born Madonna?

How old is humanity? (video)

Strange Mysteries, 7/17/17; Michael Cremo; Dhr. Seven, Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly

How old is humanity, REALLY?
These structures are much older than pharaohs.
Working out the true age of humanity isn’t as easy as checking our birth certificate, which must be in Maha Brahma's hands, because the God is like that, always hanging on to keepsakes for its little projects down here on this bhumi. Nor can we count candles on a cake. First of all, we must define what "humanity" (this generation of humans with its princes and people, maras and brahmas, devas and wandering ascetics). Recorded (written) human history only goes back about 5,300 years, because this is when our ancestors first began to use writing systems to document what was going on. Earth’s last glacial period, also known as the Ice Age, lasted from 110,000 years ago to about 11,700 years ago. When did humans first leave Africa to explore the rest of the planet? Was it 200,000 years ago or 300,000 years ago? No. Try 2,000,000 years ago.

Extreme Human Antiquity (Druta Karma)
Michael Cremo (full DVD) via Jedi Knight, Feb. 16, 2018

Over the past two centuries archeologists and anthropologists have ignored, forgotten, and actively suppressed vast quantities of evidence showing that human beings like ourselves have existed on this planet for tens of millions of years. Forbidden Archeology documents a systematic process of "knowledge filtration" and constitutes a serious challenge to the officially taught Darwinian theory of evolution.

Michael Cremo explains human origins
Michael Cremo Ancient Humans and Origins (2017), Richard Parr, April 16, 2017

"Forbidden Archeologist" Michael A. Cremo discusses evidence for humans of extreme antiquity, as well as his work on ancient giants (asuras, Titans) and vimanas (ancient Vedic flying craft, spacecraft). His books include The Hidden Truth About Human Origins and History and Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race. Cremo began a series of ancient history books aimed at scholarly and popular audiences. The first to be published was Forbidden Archeology. Over the past two centuries archaeologists have found bones, footprints, and artifacts showing that "modern" humans have been on the planet in advanced civilizations for hundreds of millions of years, in line with Buddhist, Hindu (Vedic/Brahminical), and Jain cosmologies as recorded in the sacred texts of the East.

5 Mysterious Things Found in Siberia (video)

Curious World (facebook); Amber Larson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

The Buddhist Sakyians were Scythians.
The place names in Siberia are echoes suggesting a Buddhist past, particularly in Kalmykia (the only indigenously Buddhist country in Europe) and Buryatia. The Dharma may have been a part of Siberia's ancient history alongside shamanism not just its modern one post-Russian conquest. Siberia sits atop -- the Buddha's home country (Scythia, Shakya Land, Saka) now the 'Stans -- as do its ancient, pre-Ice Age custom of building stupas (burial mounds) and other ritual burial sites. Central Asia extends from the old northwest Indian frontier now Gandhara/Indo-Pakistan (which only became a country in 1948) north to Ukraine, a vast "middle country" (majjhimadesa) separating East and West. The Scythian capital of Kapilavastu (Bamiyan, Afghanistan), the Buddha's hometown, grew rich along the Silk Road.
  • What's a Buddhist stupa (pagoda)? It's a Scythian kurgan (a customary burial site of Saka-Scythians), a tumulus or barrow -- structures created by heaping earth and stones over a burial chamber. The Scythians had them for millennia, long before the Buddha renewed the ancient custom. These burial mounds once had Scythian owners on the flat plains of present-day Ukraine, and in 2001 there was a discovery of an undisturbed royal Scythian burial-barrow. The Buddha said they were suitable for the burial of "noble ones," namely, enlightened beings and world monarchs who rule by Dharma.

Siberia, which is now a part of Russia, stretches west to east from the Ural Mountains to the north Pacific Ocean, north to south from the Ural Mountains to Mongolia.

That's 3,500 miles by 2,100 miles, a region that covers 10% of the earth’s land mass. It is completely covered with snow from November to February. Although large parts of Siberia are populated by humans, there is a huge radius that remains desolate.

Obviously, such a large chunk of land rarely visited for thousands or even millions of years, must yield some interesting long lost artifacts and remains. Here are five amazing Siberian finds.
