I can't believe my karma finally paid off!
PASADENA, California - The 17-year-old senior from Temple City became the 99th Rose Queen, chosen from among the seven members of the 2017 Tournament of Roses Royal Court.

“As a performer, I get nervous on stage, but I’ve never felt like this,” Victoria Castellanos said. “I’m shaking, literally.”

Having performed in five musicals at Temple City High School, Castellanos is no stranger to the stage, but she had never been as nervous or excited as she was Thursday in front of a packed Pasadena Playhouse when she was named...the 2017 Rose Parade Rose Queen!

It's no Miss America, but it's a start. Rose queens can go on to greater things (AP).
