Beyond sex crimes, Israel spy Epstein did...

Roy Cohn orders Reagan at White House 1983
Roy M. Cohn (Feb. 20, 1927–Aug. 2, 1986) was a Jewish American lawyer and prosecutor who trained Donald Trump to be a shark in a swamp like the business world. Cohn first gained fame as a prosecutor of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg in their trials (1952–53) and as Sen. Joe McCarthy's chief counsel during the Army–McCarthy hearings in 1954. Cohn had been assisting McCarthy's investigations of suspected communists. In the 1970s and during the 1980s, he became a prominent legal and political fixer in New York City [2, 3]. He represented and mentored Donald Trump during Trump's early business career [4]. More

  • [One of the most important things Cohn taught Trump was how to blackmail businessmen and how to avoid being blackmailed, which is why Trump does not drink alcohol, but Trump could not resist the temptation of Israeli spies Epstein and Maxwell's underage sexual honey trap.]

Naomi Klein: End Times Fascism (video)

Naomi Klein on Trump, Elon Musk, Far Right, and "End Times Fascism"
There's no underworld below us.
(Democracy Now!) May 5, 2025: An alliance between the far right and Silicon Valley oligarchs has given rise to a form of "end times fascism," says journalist Prof. Naomi Klein.

She details in a recent essay she co-authored with Astra Taylor on how many wealthy elites are preparing for the end of the world even as they contribute to growing inequality, climate crisis, and political instability.

Klein says that while billionaires dream of escaping to bunkered enclaves or even to space, Pres. DJ Trump and other right-wing leaders are turning their countries into militarized fortress states to keep out immigrants from abroad and ramp up authoritarian control domestically.

Mass deportations: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)
(LastWeekTonight) Feb. 2, 2025, is a throwback to the October 27th, 2024, episode. Before the 2024 election, John Oliver discusses Don Trump’s promises to carry out mass deportations, what some of his supporters might not realize about the details of those plans, and – shockingly – how Bill O’Reilly still has a show.

Quaker Friends, we all deserve to feel safe from harm, no matter where we are. But this week, the Trump administration ramped up immigration raids nationwide, putting families and community members at risk of separation. Download posters to show solidarity with immigrants today.

One simple way we can show solidarity with immigrants is to promote messages of love, dignity, and welcome for all. To help do that, we have new posters ready to use. Take them to protests, vigils, and other events and display them at home, school, workplace, congregation, and other spaces. Download the posters.

GAZA: Help Palestinians return home to Rafah
(Kerri Kennedy, everyaction.com) Just days after the ceasefire deal, many displaced Palestinians began returning to their homes. Last week, our team in Gaza entered the city of Rafah, determined to help people make the difficult trek.

To assist, AFSC (American Friends Service Committee) provided support to a private company in removing rubble. Now, some streets that were blocked have been reopened. Watch the video.

TAKE ACTION by telling Congress: Protect our planet, not corporate profits! Pres. Trump has issued executive orders that reverse progress to address climate change. Now Congress is considering more policies that will enrich fossil fuel companies at the expense of our air, land, and water. Instead of sacrificing our environment for the benefit of corporations, the U.S. must invest in clean energy and move away from fossil fuels. Join AFSC in calling on Congress to prioritize the health of our people and the planet.

AFSC STATEMENT: We must oppose Trump's efforts to silence and criminalize activists. Earlier this week, the Trump administration issued an executive order attempting to criminalize and silence people protesting Israel’s genocide in Gaza, the West Bank, and Palestine.

The order calls for the deportation of American students involved in protests and instructs the U.S. Justice Department to aggressively prosecute pro-Palestinian sympathizers and activists.

As a Quaker organization that has worked for decades to support peace and justice in Palestine and around the world, we strongly oppose this order. Read the statement.

FROM THE ARCHIVES: Exposing war profiteers. In this video, AFSC Archivist Don Davis talks about an insidious U.S. weapon used during the U.S. War on Vietnam.

Bomblets” were filled with steel balls surrounding explosives that were then dropped over vast areas of the Buddhist country of Vietnam, causing extensive civilian deaths. In Vietnam, AFSC staff treated bomblet victims in Quang Ngai. In the U.S., the NARMIC program worked to expose the companies that produce these weapons of war. Watch the video.

World banking fraud exposed (Chris Hedges)

Chris Hedges (KPFK.org); Seth Auberon, Sheldon S. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

French whistleblower Stephanie Gibaud exposes worldwide banking fraud | The Chris Hedges Report
(The Real News Network) Oct. 13, 2023: The Real News Network Podcasts Warning signs of the instability of the global financial system abounded in the months leading up to the 2008 Lehman Brothers crash.

Among these early signs were the astounding revelations about [Swiss] UBS, the world's largest private bank, by Stephanie Gibaud, who was employee at the bank's French division.

Gibaud refused instructions given to her and other employees to delete all their company files. In doing so, she helped reveal a vast web of corruption and fraud linking UBS to a shadowy tax evasion scheme.

More than 15 years later, Gibaud has endured harassment, professional ostracization, lawsuits, and threats.

She joins The Chris Hedges Report to speak on her ordeal and the extent of corruption in the international banking system.

Global Climate Strike (9/20-27)

GlobalClimateStrike.net/usa; CC Liu, Crystal Quintero, [Seth Auberon], Wisdom Quarterly

We’ve endured another summer of record-breaking heatwaves [allegedly], floods, and refinery explosions. Enough is enough! No more government inaction and half-measures.

Big Climate Change Brother is watching you!
[We want government meddling and FULL measures, a takeover, with state-bureaucracy and federal military-intervention, Orwellian 1984-style, with the setting up of a viable and profitable corporate pollution-credit disaster-capitalist market to profit from natural carbon emissions].

It’s time to build a renewable energy economy [yes!] that works for everyone [but particularly our corporations]. Join us in the streets September 20 and the week after to demand climate justice for all.

[We're not tools for the powers-that-be, nor useful idiots; we're independent youth who want to make a difference doing what our government tells us using Noam Chomsky's idea of "manufacturing consent" until we're demanding to be ruled and billed for the privilege]. More

Money and the Kindness of Strangers

      Wisdom Quarterly

It was raining money at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium! Club-level server Heather Allison was taking orders in the stands at a Chargers football game when she tripped and showered unsuspecting fans a level below with about $1,000 in cash. You can guess what happened.

      • A man threw his baby over the railing telling him to grab as much cash as he could before hitting the bleachers?
      • Fans began to fight each other resulting in two deaths in a mad scramble during the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression?
      • Gunshots were fired by security personnel in an attempt to clear the crowd who looked up to see money raining down before the shots did injuring many in the confusion and stampede?
      • No, it was even more amazing. The fans surprised everyone.

“All my customers began screaming over the railing to the people below: ‘That’s the servers’ money,’” explains Allison, who has sold refreshments in Sections 36 and 37 for five years.

Fans helped collect the stray bills as did the crowd below. Within minutes, a security officer returned with a stack of cash for the grateful waitress. “It was all there,” says the mother of four and full-time student who, after paying the concession, still pocketed $170 in tips. “Chargers fans are amazing,” she says. “We’re like a family.”

Jealous woman sets boyfriend on fire
This is the horrific moment a couple became human fireballs as they were engulfed in flames in a New York street. The first victim, 32, is pictured with his clothes burning as he desperately tried to put out the fire. He died four days later in hospital from 50 percent burns. On the floor, his 50-year-old lover, mass murderer Agnes Bermudez lies screaming in pain as flames roar along her body, as she was accidentally ignited in the attack. The terrifying images were captured on CCTV. But the blaze caught hold of their apartment block in Queens and three people died in the fire. Horribly disfigured in the attack, Burmudez was charged with four counts of murder -- because that's how things are done in America. More

Dow drops 1,147 points. Is that a "crash"?

Ron Scherer (Christian Science Monitor, August 8, 2011)

The Dow has lost 9.13 percent of its value over three days of trading. It's bad, but investors have seen much worse in previous sell-offs. "Crash" versus "correction"?

NEW YORK - After Black Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1929, Variety declared “Wall Street lays an egg,” to describe a drop of 23 percent in the stock market over two days. In the stock market “crash” of 1987, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 22.6 percent of its value in one day. On Monday, the Dow dropped [9.13 percent and falling] 634.76 points to 10,809.85. Does the sharp decline qualify as a “crash” [or a “correction”]? More

Call it what Tim Geithner or the Re-Elect Obama Committee likes. The sad truth is that it was done on purpose. Run to gold? Yes, if the only goal is to preserve wealth. Go to silver or palladium if a sustained profit is the goal. The mainstream news is only interested in misleading. But where to find anything resembling the truth about what is going on? INN World Report, SteveQuayle.com, DemocracyNow.org, EarthFiles.com, NaturalNews.com, InfoWars.com, and CoasttoCoastAM.com as a last resort when all we have left is a transistor radio and a candle assuming VOA and CIA radio does not hijack the airwaves outright. Does the Mayan Calendar explain it? (video)

Sean David Morton "Prophecy 2012: Road to Tomorrow and Beyond"

In this amazing talk framed in terms of Mayan calendar prophecy, a talk also given at the October 2010 Conscious Life Expo, Sean David Morton makes sense of what is really going on.

Some ideas may sound so outlandish as to put mainstream listeners off until these ideas are combined with irrefutable facts: Much of what Morton was saying in 2009 that was unbelievable then has already come true!

The rest of what he is saying, therefore, becomes more believable. He is not giving breaking news on specifics (that was already done by others, and each key term such as "FEMA camp" or "Promise 2 software" can be fruitfully explored with any browser).

He is tying together an incredible array of specifics from a spiritual perspective, as contrasted with the scientific perspective provided by his co-presenter in another talk.

Who is our fearless leader Obama? (film)

() "The Obama Deception" is a hard-hitting film that completely destroys the myth that Barack Obama is working for the best interests of the American people.

The Obama phenomenon is a hoax. It was carefully crafted by the captains of the New World Order. He is being pushed on us as "savior" in an attempt to con the American people into accepting not only national but global slavery.

We have reached a critical juncture in the New World Order's plans. It's not about Left or Right: It's about a One World Government.

The international banks plan to loot the people of the United States and turn them into slaves on a Global Plantation.

Covered in this film: who Obama works for, what lies he has told, and his real agenda.

If we want to know the facts and cut through the hype, we must investigate this once revered leader who had the audacity to encourage us to have the audacity to hope.

"The Obama Deception" explains how Obama is continuing the process of transforming America into something that resembles Nazi Germany -- with forced National Service, domestic civilian spies, warrantless wiretaps, the destruction of the Second Amendment, FEMA camps, and Martial Law.

Obama's supporters/handlers are openly announcing the creation of a new "Bank of the World" that will dominate every nation on Earth through carbon taxes and military force.

International bankers intentionally engineered the worldwide financial meltdown to bankrupt the nations of the planet and bring on a single World Government.

The Obama Administration, which carries on in the tradition of the Cheney-Bush catastrophe -- is looting the middle class, destroying pensions and federalizing the states so that the population becomes completely dependent on a Central Government.

The country's "elite" are using Obama to pacify the public so that they can usher in the North American Union (combining Mexico, Canada, and the US) by stealth, launch a new Cold War, and continue the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. More at infowars.com and prisonplanet.tv

      Capitalism in this Recession

Investigative journalist Leslie Cockburn examines Wall Street and Main Street, visiting defectors from Bear Stearns, Standard and Poor's, and other high-level players in the subprime mortgage gamble and working-class Americans on the flipside.

(NPR.org) Financial journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin discusses his investigation into what really happened one year ago during the financial collapse and bailout. That's the epic tale he tells in his new book Too Big To Fail: The Inside Story of How Wall Street and Washington Fought to Save the Financial System — and Themselves.

(Politico) The biggest decision of the economic recovery will be made in the next six months, and Barack Obama will have almost nothing to do with it. Forget the debate over TARP, and never mind the questions about a second stimulus. This decision is about when to pull out $1 trillion that’s propping up the U.S. banking system. And it will be Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and his Fed colleagues who make the call. That’s hard enough for a White House that knows its political fortunes rise and fall with the economy. Michael Moore's new film explores the root causes of the global economic meltdown. It takes a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore has described as the biggest robbery in the history of this country the massive transfer of U.S. taxpayer money to private financial institutions.

      Indigenous Activists at WSF

"We don't see the things as they are; we see them as we are"
      -- Anäis Nin

Indigenous people march during the first day of the 2009 World Social Forum near the mouth of the Amazon River in the city of Belem, 1/27/09. The 2009 World Social Forum made up of anti-capitalist groups ran from 1/26 to 1/30 (daylife.org).

The original shamans (rooted in the Buddhist word shraman, "recluse" or homeless wanderer) were intent on spiritual insight, asceticism (fasting, meditation, sense-withdrawal), and emancipation. The spirit of these human yearnings to radically evolve live on throughout the New World.

Many Amazonian tribes (particularly in the rainforests of Brazil) as well as Scandinavian (Sami) and Siberian people, although marginalized and nearly annihilated, retain a deep connection with earth ecosystems and transcendental dimensions beyond this plane.

Zen Buddhist nun marching in solidarity with indigenous participants at the World Social Forum (tatianacardeal).

For example, some of the shamanism in Siberia is due in part to the Buddhism there (as the Tibetan influence expanded beyond the Mongolian Empire). Buddhism has existed in Russia since the 16th century.

The Silk Route opened up the treasures of Asia -- particularly Buddhist India and China -- to the ancient Western world. And that message has gone around the world and back, coming to a head this year at the 2009 World Social Forum, which ended Sunday.

Forum ends in Amazon; capitalism seen dying
      Stuart Grudgings (1/1/09)

BELEM, Brazil (Reuters) -- The world's biggest gathering of leftist activists ended on Sunday, after six days of discussions and protests that participants said showed there was an alternative to a crumbling global capitalist system.

The World Social Forum brought about 100,000 activists to the Brazilian Amazon city of Belem ranging from communists railing against U.S. "imperialism" to environmentalists and more moderate socialists.

More than 200,000 people marching at the World Social Forum

Timed to coincide with the Davos meeting of business leaders in Switzerland, this year's Forum attracted a record number of government leaders keen to burnish their leftist credentials in the wake of the global financial crisis.

"People see capitalism as not being able to maintain itself and there's a hope that it can't too," said Shannon Bell, a politics professor at Toronto's York University who attended meetings on "eco-socialism" at the Forum. More>>
