Now, the Taliban are back in charge and the country has slipped back into the past. As the undisputed rulers of the country, the Taliban satisfy their thirst for revenge and behave as "victors" over the U.S. [with many new weapons left behind for them on purpose], the "greatest military power" in the world.
In the Afghan style of the "palaces" the Buddha grew up in, monasteries were built for the "Monks of the Mines," as temple sites like Mes Aynak were built near gold mines for statues.

The new Taliban leaders continue to rely on international donors. As a result, they are trying not to offend them too openly. But they are tightening the noose.

(The Jimmy Dore Show) Friday, June 2, 2023, live YouTube broadcast. Max Blumenthal of The Gray Zone confronts war-promoter Rachel Maddow (MSNBC multi-millionaire) about her warmongering, propaganda news stories, and her stance on the US military in Syria, Ukraine, and elsewhere in the world.
UC Berkeley graduate, ArmyPeacemaker of One Barbara Jean Lee is the U.S. Representative for California's 13th congressional district now in her 12th congressional term, which started in 1998, as a member of the Democratic Party.
She gained national attention in 2001 (when George W. Bush played the part of president) as the only member of Congress to vote "no" on the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF), a catchall bill abused to start more wars than any other piece of legislation.
She stated that she voted no, not because she opposed military action, but because she believed the AUMF, as written, granted overly-broad powers to wage war to any president at a time (9/11) when the facts regarding the situation were not yet clear.
She "warned her colleagues to be 'careful not to embark on an open-ended war with neither an exit strategy nor a focused target'" [12].
It has no end date, no time limits, and keeps getting reaffirmed essentially without opposition as if some off-planet power were pulling strings, using the USA as the war arm of the planet, enriching it's military-industrial complex.
Rep. Lee explained:
"It was a blank check to the president to attack anyone [simply accused of possibly being] involved in the September 11 events — anywhere, in any country, without regard to our nation's long-term foreign policy, economic and national security interests, and without time limit. In granting these overly broad powers, the Congress failed its responsibility to understand the dimensions of its declaration. I could not support such a grant of war-making authority to the president; I believe it would put more innocent lives at risk. The president has the constitutional authority to protect the nation from further attack, and he has mobilized the armed forces to do just that. The Congress should have waited for the facts to be presented and then acted with fuller knowledge of the consequences of our action" [13].
This vote made nationwide news reports and brought about a large and extremely polarized response, with the volume of calls gridlocking the switchboard of her Capitol Hill office.
Although it appears to have reflected the beliefs of the majority of her constituents, the majority of responses from elsewhere in the nation were angry and hostile, some referring to her as "communist" and "traitor."
Many of the responses included death threats against her and her family [for being anti-death] to the point that the Capitol Police provided round-the-clock plainclothes bodyguards [13]. She was also criticized by politicians and in editorial pages of conservative-leaning newspapers, for example John Fund's column in The Wall Street Journal [14].

In her speech she quoted the Rev. Nathan D. Baxter, dean of National Cathedral: "As we act, let us not become the evil that we [claim to] deplore" [15].
On June 29, 2017 the House Appropriations Committee approved Rep. Lee's amendment to repeal the 2001 authorization for the use of military force that was the foundation of the U.S.'s post-September 11 military actions.
The amendment, if passed, would have required that the 2001 authorization for the use of military force be scrapped within 240 days [16].

What
"In Plane Site" accomplishes that no other video expose on 9/11 (September
11th, 2001) has to date done is to expose a barrage of news clips
from a majority of the mainstream media "news" outlets.
The "official story" of
9/11 was told on live TV by reporters, police, firefighters, and
other on-the-scene eyewitnesses. However, that footage was shown only ONCE on live television broadcasts in the first hours of the attacks and
then it was NEVER repeated again.
In the meantime, the stories changed, information was
enigmatically omitted, and what can only be described as officially
prescribed propaganda took the place of indisputable reality.
What about the Pentagon?
Me, too. Ditto for whatever Bush said.
THE
PENTAGON: Some of the most damning evidence surrounding the alleged "attack"
on the Pentagon centers around substantial and incontrovertible video and
photographic evidence which gives incites viewers to ask crucial questions.
After all, the laws of physics cannot be suspended. Or can they?
One question many viewers ask is, "Why was
America [i.e., the United States spoken of as if it were representative of the entire continent] and the rest of the world not shown the video footage and the
photographs of the Pentagon BEFORE the outer wall collapsed?"
"Change"? I've changed.
Many
people do not realize that the outer wall of the Pentagon did not
collapse until 20 minutes after the initial impact of what we were told
was a Boeing 757, which miraculously left no wreckage, fuel, fire, or forensic evidence.
Upon examining these photographs, one can
clearly see a hole, which is only 16 feet. This begs the
question: "How can a Boeing 757, which is over 44 feet in height and 124
feet in width, simply disappear without a trace into a hole that is only
16 ft. in diameter? Also, why is there no external damage to the
Pentagon where the wings and the tail section would have impacted with
the outer wall?
Contrary to the video footage shown to the American [U.S.]
public, photographs taken only moments after the impact show NOW WRECKAGE
on the lawn of the Pentagon. Where is the plane? Where are the broken wings,
the tail, the luggage, the seats, the landing gear, and the engines?
Most importantly, what happened to the passengers who were aboard that
plane?
America remembers the photographs that they were shown
of tiny, indiscernible fragments, which were described as [or said to be] pieces of a
Boeing 757. Were these fragments of a Boeing 757?
Internal photographs
of the Pentagon taken by Jocelyn Augustino, a FEMA photographer, do not
show engine parts matching the description of a 757's engine turbofan
according to John W. Brown, a spokesperson for Rolls Royce.
Both Pratt
& Whitney and Rolls Royce manufacture the engines used on these
jetliners. The turbofans themselves are approximately 7 feet in
diameter. The FEMA photos show what appears to be a single turbofan
that is approximately 3 feet in diameter. This better fits the
descriptions of EYEWITNESSES who claim that they saw what could only be
described as a commuter plane capable of holding only 8 to 12
passengers.
This single piece of evidence also helps support other
reports from witnesses such as Lon Rains, editor for "Space News," who
was quoted as saying "I heard a very loud, quick whooshing sound.
"I
was convinced it was a missile. It came in so fast -- it sounded
nothing like an airplane." Don Parkal said, "A bomb had gone off. I
could smell the cordite. I knew explosives had been set off somewhere."
Tom Seibert said, "We heard what sounded like a missile."
