Puppet Katy Perry: How to be a star

HOW TO BE AN INDUSTRY PUPPET: THE KATY PERRY STRATEGY

(Jay Diggs) How to be an industry  puppet: the Katy Perry (Catty Purry) strategy. "Rusty Brandy, Baby, what is a Faustian bargain?" - "I want a divorce!" - "O.K., Hubby, but what is it?"

How did she get her record contract, and how do I get the same deal?
.
What is a Katy Perry?

I just wanna be Kate Hudson again
Katy Lizzy Hud's Son (Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, born Oct. 25, 1984), known professionally as "Katy Perry," is a Hollywood product, an American singer, songwriter, and goofy TV personality.

Known for her influence on pop music and her camp style, she has been dubbed the "Queen of Camp" by Vogue and Rolling Stone.

At age 16, Perry released her unsuccessful gospel album Katy Hudson (2001) under Red Hill Records. After moving to Los Angeles, she signed to Hollywood's Capitol Records and rose to fame with the pop rock album One of the Boys (2008).

Its lesbian bisexual anthem and lead single "I Kissed a Girl" topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Perry's moist, disco-influenced pop record Teenage Dream (2010) became -- ka-ching! -- the only album by a woman to spawn five U.S. number-one singles:
  1. "California Gurls"
  2. "Teenage Dream"
  3. "Firework"
  4. "E.T."
  5. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"
Momma, don't preach. I don't need your and Dad's stupid religious beliefs holding me back.
.
It helps having really big boobs, huge like these
Its sugarcoated reissue, subtitled The Complete Confection (2012), produced the U.S. Number 1 single "Part of Me."

The dance-inspired Prism (2013) yielded two U.S. Number 1 singles, "Roar" and "Dark Horse."

Perry's subsequent albums, Witness (2017), Smile (2020), and 143 (2024), were mostly duds and met with varied critical and commercial success.

Now mostly a laughingstock, Perry is still one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 151 million records worldwide. She has seven diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.

The world's highest-paid female musician in 2015 and 2018, she was named by Billboard one of the greatest pop stars of the 21st century. As proof, her accolades include:
  • 20 Guinness World Records,
  • 5 Billboard Music Awards,
5 American Music Awards (including the Special Achievement Award),
  • 1 Brit Award,
  • 1 Juno Award, and
  • 7 MTV Video Music Awards (including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award).
Perry was the first artist to have multiple videos reach one billion views on YouTube.

With an estimated net worth of $360 million, she is among the world's wealthiest musicians.

I told you I literally sold my soul to the Devil.
Outside of music, Perry released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, voiced Smurfette in The Smurfs film series (2011–2013), launched her own shoe line Katy Perry Collections in 2017, and flew into space aboard Blue Origin NS-31 in 2025.

She served as a judge on American Idol from the 16th season in 2018 to the 22nd season in 2024. She is an advocate for LGBT rights and women's rights, and she was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2013.

Her philanthropy and activism focus on children's education and HIV/AIDS awareness. More

Bush Barbie, Joe Rogan nail Katy Perry

What the top of Mt. Stupid looks like – Blue Origin’s “astroNOTS” with Katy Perry
(Derek Van Schaik) April 17, 2025: This is not feminism, nor is it progress; this is like pink washing ("greenwashing," a kind of whitewashing or "hogwash" to appear green, in this case to appear pro-female). The world’s most qualified asstronauts in human history recently made a trip up to "space" in a dildonic Blue Origin thruster to do very important scientific research to further humanity.

Okay, maybe kids who graduate from Space Camp are more justified in calling themselves "astronauts" or "scientific researchers" than these blue suited ladies. Well, at least these “astronauts” were professional enough to maintain their composure on their way down to Earth ten minutes later.

Okay, fine, this was a just a billionaire’s version of a 10-minute carnival ride. Yes, the entire trip takeoff to landing lasted just 10 minutes and 22 seconds. And the only "training" they received was how to buckle and unbuckle their seatbelts — so calling themselves astronauts seems inaccurate and unfair to real astronauts.

What’s the saying? Chopping down one tree doesn’t make you a lumberjack — or was that, "Guns don't kill people...it’s mostly the bullets." These sayings are usually used in a different context, but the principle still holds: a single brief experience doesn’t make one a pro. What was most ridiculous thing about this stinking B.O. joyride? Let everyone know in the comments below.

Recovery: Freedom From Our Addictions

Russell Brand (amazon.com); Seth Auberon, CC Liu (edd.), Wisdom Quarterly

A guide to all kinds of addiction from a star who has struggled with heroin, alcohol, sex, fame, food, and eBay, that will help addicts and their loved ones make the first steps into recovery.

“This manual for self-realization comes not from a mountain but from the mud... My qualification is not that I am better than you but I am worse.” ―Russell Brand

With a rare mix of honesty, humor, and compassion, comedian and movie star Russell Brand mines his own wild story and shares the advice and wisdom he has gained through his 14 years of recovery.

Brand (formerly Mr. Katy Perry) speaks to those suffering along the full spectrum of addiction -- from drugs, alcohol, caffeine, and sugar addictions to addictions to work, stress, bad relationships, digital media, and fame.

I owe Russ $20 million. He won't claim it.
Brand understands that addiction can take many shapes and sizes and how the process of staying clean, sane, and unhooked is a daily activity.

He believes that the question is not, “Why are you addicted?” but "What pain is your addiction masking? Why are you running -- into the wrong job, the wrong life, the wrong person’s arms?"

Russell Brand has been in all the 12-step fellowships going. He’s started his own men’s group. He’s a therapy regular and a practiced yogi.

And while he’s worked on this material as part of his comedy and previous bestsellers, he’s never before shared the tools that really took him out of it, that keep him clean and clear. Here he provides not only a recovery plan but an attempt to make sense of the ailing world. More

Is Katy Perry (Catty Purry) an ET?

Wisdom Quarterly
See lyrics to "ET" (featuring Kanye West) below.

Are we the only ones to notice what Hollywood namers named Catty Purry? It seems so. But there have been rumors -- we thought them a joke -- that Perry is in fact a human-extraterrestrial hybrid. Feline, reptilian (naga), shapeshifter?

To the extent that some people refuse to acknowledge other life forms throughout the universe and even this very solar system, this will sound incredible. But humans are seeded from the stars. There are many, many alien races. Many have visited, many still do, and many never left.

With sufficient DNA (often referred to as a suitable bloodline) these intelligences are able to take possession of an individual. What better way than through million-selling musicians and overnight popstars?

Lady Gaga, addled by drug abuse and body issues that inspire her to drink, starve, binge, and do hot yoga, might well be in the same boat. There are unseen beings all around. Why would an artist create a hit song glorifying ET-hybridization, miscegenation, human-alien mating?

It is like the "days of old" when the Nephilim (the Judeo-Christian "sons of god" or Buddhist devaputras) created "men of renown" (epic heroes) by mating with the "wives of men" (human females).

LYRICS: Katy Perry's "ET" (feat. Kanye West)

With nine nominations at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) tonight, Katy Perry is set for another milestone in her meteoric rise to fame and a short career that promises to grow longer with each hit. Perry has just become the first female and only the second person (the first being Michael Jackson) to ever derive five number one hits from a single album. Amy Winehouse sleeps, and Lady Gaga shivers in her homemade platforms as Justin Bieber wets his Canadian Toughskins when they see Perry rising on the charts.

When Cats Rule the World

(LiveScience) Cats do control humans, study finds: If you've ever wondered who's in control, you or your cat, a new study points to the obvious. It's your cat. Household cats exercise this control with a certain type of urgent-sounding, high-pitched meow, according to findings. This meow is actually a purr mixed with a high-pitched cry.

While people usually think of cat purring as a sign of happiness, some cats make this purr-cry sound when they want to be fed. The study showed that humans find these mixed calls annoying and difficult to ignore.

Some cats may manipulate their owners into feeding them with a unique meow -- a purr mixed with a high-pitched cry (Image: stock.xchng).

"The embedding of a cry within a call that we normally associate with contentment is quite a subtle means of eliciting a response," said Karen McComb of the University of Sussex. "Solicitation purring is probably more acceptable to humans than overt meowing, which is likely to get cats ejected from the bedroom." They know us: Previous research has shown similarities between cat cries and human infant cries. More>>
