Puppet Katy Perry: How to be a star

HOW TO BE AN INDUSTRY PUPPET: THE KATY PERRY STRATEGY

(Jay Diggs) How to be an industry  puppet: the Katy Perry (Catty Purry) strategy. "Rusty Brandy, Baby, what is a Faustian bargain?" - "I want a divorce!" - "O.K., Hubby, but what is it?"

How did she get her record contract, and how do I get the same deal?
.
What is a Katy Perry?

I just wanna be Kate Hudson again
Katy Lizzy Hud's Son (Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, born Oct. 25, 1984), known professionally as "Katy Perry," is a Hollywood product, an American singer, songwriter, and goofy TV personality.

Known for her influence on pop music and her camp style, she has been dubbed the "Queen of Camp" by Vogue and Rolling Stone.

At age 16, Perry released her unsuccessful gospel album Katy Hudson (2001) under Red Hill Records. After moving to Los Angeles, she signed to Hollywood's Capitol Records and rose to fame with the pop rock album One of the Boys (2008).

Its lesbian bisexual anthem and lead single "I Kissed a Girl" topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Perry's moist, disco-influenced pop record Teenage Dream (2010) became -- ka-ching! -- the only album by a woman to spawn five U.S. number-one singles:
  1. "California Gurls"
  2. "Teenage Dream"
  3. "Firework"
  4. "E.T."
  5. "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"
Momma, don't preach. I don't need your and Dad's stupid religious beliefs holding me back.
.
It helps having really big boobs, huge like these
Its sugarcoated reissue, subtitled The Complete Confection (2012), produced the U.S. Number 1 single "Part of Me."

The dance-inspired Prism (2013) yielded two U.S. Number 1 singles, "Roar" and "Dark Horse."

Perry's subsequent albums, Witness (2017), Smile (2020), and 143 (2024), were mostly duds and met with varied critical and commercial success.

Now mostly a laughingstock, Perry is still one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with estimated sales of over 151 million records worldwide. She has seven diamond certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.

The world's highest-paid female musician in 2015 and 2018, she was named by Billboard one of the greatest pop stars of the 21st century. As proof, her accolades include:
  • 20 Guinness World Records,
  • 5 Billboard Music Awards,
5 American Music Awards (including the Special Achievement Award),
  • 1 Brit Award,
  • 1 Juno Award, and
  • 7 MTV Video Music Awards (including the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award).
Perry was the first artist to have multiple videos reach one billion views on YouTube.

With an estimated net worth of $360 million, she is among the world's wealthiest musicians.

I told you I literally sold my soul to the Devil.
Outside of music, Perry released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, voiced Smurfette in The Smurfs film series (2011–2013), launched her own shoe line Katy Perry Collections in 2017, and flew into space aboard Blue Origin NS-31 in 2025.

She served as a judge on American Idol from the 16th season in 2018 to the 22nd season in 2024. She is an advocate for LGBT rights and women's rights, and she was named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 2013.

Her philanthropy and activism focus on children's education and HIV/AIDS awareness. More

Pervert assaults Future-Pres. AOC (video)

Right wing pervert assaults AOC on Capitol steps

My Latin beauty shouldn't have any...
(The Young Turks) While walking up the Capitol steps to work recently, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) was accosted and sexually harassed as she tried to get to her office. Ana Kasparian and cohost Cenk Uygur discuss the incident on TYT.

AOC states: "Here is a video he [the pervert] posted of the incident. I was actually walking over to deck him [with my fist] because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself, but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today." (See uncensored video: AOC/X).

Is this "sexual harassment"? (Should Bernie be getting so handsy?)

Now allowed in Hegseth's Army
Sexual harassment is a type of harassment based on the biological sex or cultural gender of a target.

It can involve offensive sexist or sexual behavior, verbal or physical actions, up to bribery, coercion, and assault [without physical contact].

Harassment may be explicit or implicit, with some examples including
  • making unwanted sexual remarks,
  • actions that insult and degrade by gender,
  • showing pornography,
  • demanding or requesting sexual favors,
  • offensive sexual advances, and
  • any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal (sometimes provocative) conduct based on sex [1].
Sexual harassment includes a range of actions from verbal transgressions to sexual abuse or assault [2]. Harassment can occur in many different social settings such as the workplace, the home, school, or religious institutions. Harassers or victims can be of any gender [3]. More

Move to White House or Senate?
Elect me to fight oligarchy with VP Bernie!
(Axios) Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her team are positioning her to run for the White House or the U.S. Senate in 2028, according to people familiar with her operation. Why it matters: Ocasio-Cortez's 2028 decision could shake up the presidential race or the Senate's leadership. A fellow New Yorker, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, 74, is up for re-election in 2028. More
Please, Donald, don't do this to me, to my CA
CNN recently broke down a poll for early choices for a democratic presidential nominee in 2028, which found that AOC is currently polling at 12% behind California Gov. Gavin Newsom, which is 10% more than what Sen. Bernie Sanders was polling in comparison to Sec'y of State Hillary Clinton in 2014. More

Alcohol, religion? The Buddha: abstain

Drinking in accordance with Mediterranean Diet means virgin olive oil not liquid ignorance.
.
Cold Christian monks consume weak wine.
Religion and alcohol have a mixed up history. The world's religions have had different relationships with alcohol, reflecting diverse cultural, social, and spiritual practices across different traditions.

Some religions are strict in prohibiting consumption, viewing it as "missing the mark" (sin) and harmful to spiritual and physical well-being, whereas others incorporate it into their rituals and ceremonies because, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Come get drunk with me, Flanders! - God, no, Homie
Booze can't be bad. Drunk Whitey's going to heaven!

Throughout history, toxic alcohol has held significant roles in religious observances, from the use of "sacramental" wine in Christian sacraments to the offering and moderate drinking of omiki (sacramental sake) in Japanese (shapeshifter-taming) Shinto purification rituals.

O, Buddha, should people avoid alcohol?
Buddhism calls on practitioners to avoid consuming alcohol (surāmerayamajja, referring to the types of intoxicating fermented beverages), as it violates the 5th of the Five Precepts, the basic Buddhist code of ethical conduct as it disrupts mindfulness, leads to negligence and heedlessness, all of which impedes one's progress along the Noble Eightfold Path [2] to serenity, insight, enlightenment, and the blissful liberation of nirvana.
Christian attitudes towards alcohol shift all the time, with some sects and denominations advocating for moderation, while others promote abstinence. The use of sacramental wine in religious rites, such as the Eucharist, underscores a symbolic significance within Roman Catholicism (and the Vatican) as well as subsequent Protestant Christian theologies, to say nothing of more original Coptic and Eastern Orthodox views.

Hinduism in Śruti texts, such as the Vedas and Upanishads, says consumption of alcohol and/or intoxication is considered as a recipe for weakness, while in Smriti texts, the verses contradict each other and allow the use of alcohol for some castes, but remind everyone that total abstention is better.

Temperance or premature death?
Islam says the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited, according to Muslim teachings, reflecting its foundational role in shaping Muslim identity.

Across various religious traditions, attitudes toward alcohol mirror broader societal norms and values rather than strict adherence to religious texts since society is more influential in shaping individual behaviors and attitudes than religion.

Research on the correlation between religiosity and alcohol consumption reveals the complex interplay between religious affiliation, cultural context, and drinking patterns. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for informing public health initiatives and interventions aimed at addressing alcohol-related issues (like alcoholism, domestic abuse, child molestation, sexual misconduct, theft, negligence, injury to reputation, cancer, mental illness, morbidity, obesity, dementia, and so on) within specific religious communities.

Drink up, Dumb@ss. We love rounding you up.
As societies grapple with the complexities for profit alcohol consumption (which makes many private companies rich while costing society inestimable harms), further exploration of the intersection between religion, culture, spirituality, and health behaviors provides insights into how individuals navigate their spiritual, religious, and social identities concerning alcohol.

Buddhism is not a monolith with two major schools, the back-to-basics Theravada (that follows the teachings (-vada) of the historical Buddha and his enlightened disciples or (theras-) and the more scattered Mahayana ("great boat," which makes up 90% of Buddhists). Tibetan Vajrayana, while spoken of as yet another school, is subsumed as a Mahayana sect.

Alcohol use in Vajrayana
In Tibetan Buddhism

Bodhisattva Avalokita, Sri Lanka
There are various Buddhist "tantric" (esoteric) schools or traditions, claiming their goal is attaining enlightenment, which go by different names [Note 1] such as
  • Vajra-yana,
  • Secret Mantra, and
  • Mantra-yana [3, 4].
The Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition has been dominant in Tibet and other Himalayan regions [3] (Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Mongolia, etc.) because Tibet was once an empire.

That tradition first spread to Tibet in the 8th century and quickly rose to prominence [5]. The Tibetan Buddhist tantric teachings (heavily influenced by Brahmanism and Hinduism from neighboring India) have recently been spread to the Western world by the Tibetan diaspora.

Nepalese Newar Buddhism, meanwhile, is still practiced in the Kathmandu Valley by the Newar people. The tradition maintains a canon of Sanskrit Buddhist texts, the only Buddhist tantric tradition to still do so.

Let's party like they do in India
In Tibetan Buddhism, it is traditional to offer a tsok (Tibetan for ganachakra) to Padmasambhava or other deities, usually gurus, on the tenth lunar day, and to a form of dakini such as Yeshe Tsogyal, Mandarava, or Vajra Yogini on the 25th lunar day.

Generally, participants are required by their bond or vow (samaya) to partake of meat and alcohol, and the rite tends to have elements symbolic of coitus (sexual intercourse), making it more reminiscent of pre-Buddhist Bon (Tibetan shamanism) black magic.

Traditions of the Ganachakra liturgy and rite extends remains of food and other offerings to alleviate the insatiable hunger of the hungry ghosts (including alcohol, which they intensely crave (as drinking and other harmful karma brought on by drinking is likely what led to rebirth is the intensely miserable Realm of Hungry Ghosts or preta-loka), genius loci (protective spirits or local genies the djinn), and other subhuman entities [6].

Zen koan: A little sake makes a lotta sense?
The [rationalization for the] use of these harmful substances is related to [a kind of deluded sophistry that rationalizes that] the non-dual (advaya) nature of a Buddha's wisdom (buddha-jñana) [sees nothing as inherently good or bad].

Since the ultimate state [in Hindu-influenced Mahayana thinking] is in some sense non-dual, a practitioner can approach that state by "transcending attachment to dual categories such as pure and impure, permitted and forbidden" [sinful or blessed, harmful or healthful, leading downward or upward, advised by the historical Buddha or condemned, practiced by fools or the wise, leading to more samsara or to liberation].

Bodhisattva Maitreya as a Central Asian king
As the Guhyasamaja Tantra [misleadingly] states "the wise man who does not discriminate achieves Buddhahood" [7] [because as no one ever said, the Bodhisattva (the "being bent on supreme enlightenment") attained buddhahood by doing just whatever and not discriminating.

It is exactly because that being, wishing to become a buddha, discriminated then pursued the path [Ten Perfections] that leads to the good that he eventually reached supreme enlightenment with the ability to teach and establish the Dharma in the world again after an unbelievably long period of darkness]. More

Bush Barbie, Joe Rogan nail Katy Perry

What the top of Mt. Stupid looks like – Blue Origin’s “astroNOTS” with Katy Perry
(Derek Van Schaik) April 17, 2025: This is not feminism, nor is it progress; this is like pink washing ("greenwashing," a kind of whitewashing or "hogwash" to appear green, in this case to appear pro-female). The world’s most qualified asstronauts in human history recently made a trip up to "space" in a dildonic Blue Origin thruster to do very important scientific research to further humanity.

Okay, maybe kids who graduate from Space Camp are more justified in calling themselves "astronauts" or "scientific researchers" than these blue suited ladies. Well, at least these “astronauts” were professional enough to maintain their composure on their way down to Earth ten minutes later.

Okay, fine, this was a just a billionaire’s version of a 10-minute carnival ride. Yes, the entire trip takeoff to landing lasted just 10 minutes and 22 seconds. And the only "training" they received was how to buckle and unbuckle their seatbelts — so calling themselves astronauts seems inaccurate and unfair to real astronauts.

What’s the saying? Chopping down one tree doesn’t make you a lumberjack — or was that, "Guns don't kill people...it’s mostly the bullets." These sayings are usually used in a different context, but the principle still holds: a single brief experience doesn’t make one a pro. What was most ridiculous thing about this stinking B.O. joyride? Let everyone know in the comments below.

Prostitution: Do escorts have O’s?

Do I 😮?
Dancer Josephine Baker 1926
(Ms Jessica Jaye) March 14, 2025: Brisbane, AUSTRALIA, Down Under, working it in Sydney. Can a sex worker be candid about the oldest profession in the world? It is not all a sleazy street exchange. In some places, like parts of the state of Nevada (outside of the county Las Vegas is in places like The Love Ranch) in the USA. In countries around the world, this is going on every day. In fact, some would argue that there is no country, no state, no city where it is not. Instagram: msjessicajaye. TikTok: msjessicajaye1.
Courtesan Cora Pearl
The Five Precepts would seem to preclude this line of "work," given that it is a kind of sexual misconduct (abusing sex) in the eyes of society. Moreover, one might argue that it is "trade in living beings," one of the forms of Wrong Livelihood (from the Noble Eightfold Path), exploiting oneself and/or others, and for all appearances it is corrosive to the individual engaging in it. Does it have to be?

Geisha girl in traditional garb
Weren't there always courtesans (royal call girls) and geishas (well-mannered conversationalists for the rich)? These high-class escorts may not exactly be the same thing. They may be. But they are not regarded as such by the society.

One must take care not to rationalize that all wives are engaged in this line of work for fear of falling into specious reasoning and logical fallacies.

Buddhism and Sex (M. O'C. Walshe)
Ultimately, who is responsible for me but me? The buck stops here. We simply wish to share the Buddha's advice. The British scholar Maurice O'Connell Walshe dared to tackle this topic from a Buddhist perspective.

Killing cats for Schrodinger (Zen, physics)

Schrödinger's cat: A thought experiment in quantum mechanics

(TED-Ed) Oct. 14, 2014: View full lesson: ed.ted.com/lessons/schrodinger... Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger, one of the founders of quantum mechanics, posed this famous question: "If you put a cat in a sealed box with a [radioactive] device that has a 50% chance of killing the cat in the next hour, what will be the state of the cat when that time is up? Chad Orzel investigates this thought experiment. Lesson by Chad Orzel. Animation by Agota Vegso.

I misunderstood Schrödinger's cat thought experiment for years (Now, I finally get it!)
When will cat lovers strike back?
(FloatHeadPhysics) Why is Schrödinger's cat both dead and alive? It's not! This video looks at what quantum superposition is (and is not). How many mental cats must be mutilated and die in these gruesome thought experiments, which lead to real-life desensitization, vivisection (painful experiments and mutilation of living animals, just as dissection is the cutting up of dead ones), and the "sacrificing" (a euphemism for execution of living subjects after an experiment is concluded and every participant must be murdered to clean up). Though scientists go home and pet their spouse's kitties, at work, dressed in white (lab coats) like a priestly class, they callously commit excruciating atrocities in the name of research and their religion, Science (Scientism).

This is not limited to science. There is a shocking Japanese Buddhist koan (riddle, paradox, lit. "case") about a cat.

Nansen Kills the Cat: a vintage koan
Roshi Philip Kapleau (Zen Bow | Winter 2018, Vol. XL, No. 4, a vintage koan commentary by the Rochester Zen Center’s late founder) edited by Wisdom Quarterly

(Shōkei Andreas Praefcke/Wiki)
Mumonkan
Number 14: THE CASE: Once the monks of the Western and Eastern Halls were arguing about a cat. Nansen, holding up the cat, said, “You monks, if you can say a word of Zen, I will spare the cat. Otherwise, I will kill it!”

No one could answer, so Nansen sliced the cat in two.

That evening, when Joshu returned, Nansen told him of the incident. Joshu thereupon took off his sandal, put it on his head, and walked off.

Nansen said, “If you had been there, the cat would have been saved!”

Only riddles and koans. No answers anywhere!
THE COMMENTARY: Just say, what is the real meaning of Joshu’s putting his sandal on his head? If you can give a turning word on this point, you will see that Nansen’s action was not in vain. But if not, beware!

THE VERSE: Had Joshu only been there, he would have taken charge. He would have snatched away the sword, and Nansen would have begged for his life. The two protagonists of this koan, Nansen and Joshu, are two of the great masters in Zen.

Nansen was the teacher of Joshu (Chinese Zhaozhou). Nansen (Chinese Nanchuan) in turn was a disciple of the great Baso (Chinese Mazu).

Nansen’s dates are 748 to 835. He had his head shaved at the age of 9, and at 30 took full ordination vows and devoted himself to Buddhist study for several years.

Finally, he knocked on the door of Zen Master Baso and “forgot all that he had previously learned.” At 47, in the year 795, Nansen built with his own hands a retreat hut on Mount Nansen, from which he took his name.

One of his disciples was the governor of the province, and there’s an intriguing mondo between the two. After the governor had had dokusan with Nansen, Nansen said to him, “When you return to your office in the city, how will you rule the people?”

The answer was, “I will use wisdom to govern them.”

Nansen said, “In that case, every last one of them will suffer.”

What we see here is a sense of self-intentionality which, on the face of it, seems to be a very fine thing: to endeavor to govern with wisdom, compassion. But once you talk about it, it’s already gone. You’re already assured that there won’t be any wisdom or compassion.

You don’t need to set about to govern with wisdom or compassion if you just govern fully, put yourself wholly into any activity: nothing held back, without any notions of being wise or being this or being that. The action will be a true action.

We all have this compassion and innate wisdom, this prajna wisdom, that will emerge once we remove the obstacles to its functioning. More: Rochester Zen Center (rzc.org)
