Microdosed herb and mushrooms: BREZ

Natural entheogens bring closer to nature.
Alcohol is bad, insidiously bad. It doesn't seem that bad. "What's the big deal?" we say. One drink is numbing, two dumbing, three a downward spiral. In time drinking gets worse. Hangovers, dysfunctional coping skills, dependence, mistakes of all sorts, consequences one goes into denial about.

"But everyone drinks." Everyone does not. "Europeans do it worse, well, maybe not worse, but the US isn't the only abuser of alcohol." Look at Australia. It's liquid ignorance, rotten bread extract, you know, fermented and putrefied in a barrel. God drank.

Mother Nature prefers natural things.
Though that was really just grape juice that was starting to turn and, in those filthy times in that filthy place, fermented sauce was safer than water. Clean water is now available, and fresh grape juice is much healthier. No amount of alcohol is healthy. Oh, you didn't hear? This has been proven. The red wine myth has been debunked.

Resveratrol is in grapes, not alcohol. Higher concentrations are found in supplements and fresh juice than "wine." (Vine is vino, which is where we get wine and winos).

Synthetic drugs are bad, m'kay? Preservatives, flavorants, all of that stuff is garbage. What's good? Mother Nature.

If only Mother Nature made things pop right out of the soil or in green fields! Wait, She does? Shrooms and cannabis grow freely with beneficial medicinals? Sign me up! If only someone could gather items from the Plant Pharmacy and can them, put Mother Nature in a jar. Here's the BREZ (breezy) pitch:

Drinking has evolved

BREZ's adaptogenic formula harmonizes to elevate every moment. Brighter colors, louder laughs, and tastier snacks are often reported.

The perfect effect
This is the experience you’ve been waiting for. Each sip is a ticket to bliss – wherever and whenever. [And it comes in a can.]

What people are saying
BREZ: "Breezy" in a can? What's the catch?
"Just the right combination to create a relaxing experience while not losing any control. I love BRΔ’Z as a replacement to alcohol."    – Cody

"I was surprised. The microdosed formula was perfect. It provided a light, energetic buzz with no anxiety, and it tastes great."

 – Jennifer

"Awesome alcohol alternative. Citrusy and sweet with just a subtle bite – I will def be ordering more!"  – Cassie

Rating (4.9/5.0 stars)
It's got, according to try.drinkbrez.com, 4.9 out of 5.0 stars, based on 1,016 total reviews.

"Tasty and breezy! I’m definitely a fan. The flavor is really nice and refreshing, and it made me feel so mellow and peaceful without being tired or anxious. Highly recommend!" - Kristen E. More

Cholesterol good for us: avoid frying

Forbidden Cures (Dr. Wallach)
This sounds crazy. "Everyone" knows cholesterol is bad. That's why the body makes it and makes so much of it and uses it for so many things. The fact is, Dr. Joel Wallach (criticalhealthnews.com) has been singing the praises of cholesterol for a long time. The body could not live without it. It makes hormones from it. If we have too much bad cholesterol, that is almost certainly from bad lifestyle choices, like eating fried foods, rancid oils, dead oils, filtered vegetable seed oils, all of which are very harmful. Fats are good, but know the difference between fats that heal and fats that kill. Good oils real olive oil (a fruit), real avocado (the fruit, not the oil), virgin coconut milk, hemp seed oil (a balanced vegan source of essential fatty acids, Omega 3, 6, and 9), borage seed oil, evening primrose oil, rosehip oil, cacao fat, sea buckthorn, and others. Anything in a plastic bottle exposed to light, heat, or air is dead, rancid, and toxic. Throw it out, and do not eat foods made with it or microwaved. One of the worst things a person can do is take allopathic statin drugs, which lower cholesterol -- which the body is making to save itself, to fight free radical damage, to heal from fried, burned/oxidized, bad, rancid oils -- production. If we avoid oxidized (microwaved, overcooked, stale, exposed to heat, air, light and other oxidizers) foods, instead choosing fresh, alkalinizing, greens, fruits, and things in their natural/unaltered state, the body has many fewer reasons to make so much cholesterol.

Wild Mushroom Hunt, spiritual uses (2/24)

Dhr. Seven, Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation), Jen B., Wisdom Quarterly

Wild plants and mushrooms
Let's go on a Mushroom Hunt, Ethnobotanical Nature Walk, Forest Meditation: Saturday, Feb. 24, 10:00 am-12:00 pm ($25.00).

This walkabout focuses on identifying wild medicinal mushrooms and plants and includes discussion of the therapeutic, shamanic, entheogenic, hallucinogenic, and psychedelic uses of plants that offer alternative treatments.

The native and non-native plants in our local environment have many surprising uses.

This leisurely stroll with guided meditation offers a chance to see and identify various mushrooms in this gloriously wet period. The weather has the mycelium running and fruiting bodies emerging from the ground, like we learned at last week's Wild Mushroom Fair at the LA Arboretum.

"Ego death"?

For a moment, I saw what was real!
Q: Why would anyone want the ego to die, even temporarily? A: The ego is an illusion (maya), an unreality, a painful mirage. That's why. Of course, the ego will never believe it. The ego won't let the ego die. But DMT, the "spirit molecule," makes it see what ultimately real and what is not. This could be enough for a start on a journey to Truth, the Beyond, the Beyond the Beyond. Or one may cling to the fleeting even worse than before, spiraling in delusion, taking the unreal for real, the impermanent for permanent, the disappointing for pleasure with a promise of fulfillment.
Wear comfortable footwear. We’ll meet in Pasadena, near the Rose Bowl, at a predesignated location provided at registration. This is a group event, but individual tours may also be arranged. RSVP:

Come discover the ease and grace of the oldest medicine on the planet and remember how familiar it actually is.

Experience a unique intake where Kat Maier blends her deep intuitive skills with over 30 years as a clinical herbalist and a background in biomedicine. Mentorship sessions are also available. All are sessions are virtual. Herbal students gather flowers.

Ah, the joy to be in community again. All are invited to join in person with the plants, guest teachers, and a beloved community. Take a look at our day, weekend, and three-month long series.

Variety is truly the spice of life, and that is what there is online in these offerings. Listen to Kat’s favorite topics along with wonderful guest teachers taking us into profound yet practical teachings.

Hypnosis treats many ailments (LAist)

Dr. Spiegel, host Larry Mantle, AirTalk; Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Hypnosis has been used [successfully] to treat many ailments, but it still has a reputation to battle
Scientists are inching closer to understanding how hypnosis can be used as a treatment for digestive disorders like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and inflammatory bowel disease.

Though its reputation hasn’t always been credible, hypnosis research dates back to the 1770s, when “Mesmerism” was being tested to treat all kinds of ailments.

Today, we know much more about hypnosis, also called "hypnotherapy." It is used to treat
  • sleep problems,
  • chronic pain,
  • depression,
  • anxiety
and unlike so many other allopathic treatments out there, research suggests that hypnosis is often cost-effective and free of harmful side-effects.

Joining AirTalk today to discuss how hypnosis is used and how it compares to CBT and other psychotherapy techniques is TKTK and Prof. of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science David Spiegel, from the Stanford University School of Medicine. AUDIO:

2020 Conscious Life Expo, L.A. (Feb 7-10)

Consciouslifeexpo.com; Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation), Crystal Q., Wisdom Quarterly
Dharma Buddhist Meditation has a visit planned: Feb. 8, 2020

.
We live in an evolving universe, in an orgasmic atomic dance of consciousness. Everything is transforming. The wise through history attempt to define the nature of reality.

Many models have been devised. Most have fallen into the historical dustbin, with others barely hanging on. This generation is co-creating a new model. No, it is not all figured out and defined. But we know the elements to be included in a future model.

It's LA's spiritual bazaar to spend money.
The central intention of the Conscious Life Expo is to participate in the conscious co-creation of a new world based on new paradigms in science, spirituality, longevity, local and global community, relationship, and health and well-being.

As we co-create a wholistic model through authentic self-expression, we participate in a powerful play of life and a passionate celebration of love.

FULL INFO: consciouslifeexpo.com
The Expo is a three-day gathering of individuals, tribes, and traditions celebrating evolving consciousness, a brainstorming session about who we are, what we're becoming, where we are, and where we're going. More

BBC: "The Power of Meditation" (video)

BBC.com via Best Documentaries, 8/27/16; Amber Larson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

This BBC documentary explores a variety of meditation practices. It includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or "invisible life force" (chi, qi, ki, prana), develop concentration, compassion, love, patience, generosity, and forgiveness.

A particularly ambitious form of meditation aims at effortlessly sustained single-pointed concentration meant to enable its practitioner to enjoy an indestructible sense of well-being while engaging in any life activity.

TESTIMONIAL
"Through meditation [I] found the ability to start a new career, reconnect with old friends, and start living my life to the fullest. In short, I rebuilt my life from the bottom up. Today, just 12 years later, I'm completely fulfilled. I love what I do professionally, I have the most wonderful family and friends around me, and I feel grateful for everyday I live. For so many years I was miserable when I had all the gifts life could bestow. It took what I thought at the time was a death sentence for me to wake up and start living. I knew these 'secrets' I had uncovered could help anyone live an extraordinary life, but imagine my shock when I learned how many rich, successful, and famous people had used the EXACT same process to achieve all that he had achieved...." - Jason Stephenson

✳️ πŸ‘‰ Watch https://youtu.be/sw3XJv5d_mc to discover a fast way to condition the mind towards the achievement of desired goals. Eddie Sergey's technique is said to be easier than affirmations and more effective than visualization. So if you're struggling to improve different aspects of life, this tutorial is a must-watch.
