Breathe into new states of consciousness

I'm starting to feel prana (chi) move in braincells
If one is on a journey that is lowering stress levels (Who isn't in 2024?), odds are one has come across the term "breathwork."

Unlike everyday breathing, breathwork involves [being mindful to modify, adjust, alter, and] control breathing patterns to improve mental, emotional, and physical states.

O, I see it now. It's starting to kick in. Oh wow!
Taking things up a notch, there is also Holotropic Breathwork, or HB for short, which utilizes accelerated deep breathing, stimulating music, and a tailored setting to help participants enter a nonordinary state of consciousness that activates the natural inner healing process.

From inside the mind, the healing activated by HB can potentially help alleviate past mental and physical trauma or mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety disorders, and substance use disorders, for example.

Curious to learn more, we emailed Director of the Institute for Holotropics and Grof Transpersonal Training Cary Sparks.

For reference, Grof Transpersonal Training (holotropic.com) through the Institute for Holotropics is the only organization in the world that can certify Holotropic Breathwork facilitators.

What is Holotropic Breathwork?

Holotropic Breathwork was created in 1974 by Stanislav Grof, an American psychiatrist, LSD researcher, and one of the principal developers of transpersonal psychology; his wife at the time, Christina Grof, was a psychotherapist, teacher, artist, and student of Mythologist Joseph Campbell.

May the 4th be with you (Star Wars Day)

May the 4th be with you | Star Wars and Buddhism
.
The connections are real.
(Claire Villarreal) May 4, 2022: Buddhist Wisdom Modern Life. Happy May the 4th, fellow Star Wars nerds! 🤓 If, like me, you've ever wondered, "Is the Force real?" then this video is perfect for you!

Let's look at a few impressions and thoughts on ideas from Buddhism and Asian martial arts about the literal animating principle or "life force" energy (qi, ki, chi, prana, etc.) that circulates through the body and throughout the living world around us.

Lucas was naming real things.
Did you know that when the creator George Lucas came up with the Jedi, he was inspired in part by Zen Buddhism? Yoda looks like a Buddha statue and speaks in the bad syntax of the 14th Dalai Lama.

The coincidences are real because Asia seemed exotic but close enough to us in a shared reality. Yep. So nerd out with me, and if you have other Star Wars/Buddhism questions, please drop them in the comments! "May all living beings be well and happy," as the Buddha used to say. 🙏

I'm a messianic figure based on...Apollonius, Mithra?
We were found on the surface of Mars (Hoagland)
Bigfoot or Sasquatch is based on a Buddhist Yakkha (Rakshasa) from space on this prison planet

We are all monastic meditators developing inner wisdom and the Force (invisible energy)

An Asuran princess can be so beautiful that Sakka, King of the Devas, marries her.
The Asuras or Titans are beings in space that often attack the Devas ("Shining Ones")

How can Lucas teach spiritual lessons and give a rite of passage to young American nerds?
The creatures in space have been introduced to us through Hollywood movies.
It's not an accident, it's not a coincidence. Lucas was modeling his characters on people

It makes sense Buddhists would like it because the Buddha was a Scythian
warrior as were many of his earliest disciples in Shakya Land (Gandhara)

Scientist explains Sedona vortex energy (video)

Ben Lonetree (Coast to Coast, 8/13/23); Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Modern Buddhist stupa in Sedona, Arizona
Last night on Coast with Host Connie Willis, scientific researcher Ben Lonetree (sedonanomalies.com) spilled the beans: Sedona's vortices are real and measurable. They pulse, come and go, are dampened by rain, affected by external conditions (who's standing around, what space entities are traveling through portals, what time it is in terms of the dimensional timeline at Bradshaw Ranch* that sees dinosaurs popping in and out, perhaps Silurians or their pet Reptilians behind a veil or props for creatures that still roam in the bowels of our hollow earth).
The Sedona Effect

Vortex outlined on the ground by Natives
Coast to Coast AM.com, Aug. 13, 2023: Researcher and electrical engineer Ben Lonetree discusses decades of scientific studies on naturally occurring phenomena electromagnetic (vortex) energies and how they interact with human biophysical mechanisms.

He talks about the science of Sedona, Arizona, and his theory of the Sedona Effect and Sedona Vortex brainwave EEG synchronization. After hearing the small pink town of Sedona described decades ago as the place where "the Earth speaks," Lonetree was initially skeptical.

Is Lonetree jumping to his death or levitating over a vortex energy field during a pulse?

There's a Buddha Beach in Sedona, too!
But he noticed that his scientific instruments always registered elevated energy levels there. Armed with an array of very sophisticated equipment, Lonetree set out to investigate Sedona's Schumann resonance (the degree to which the area's electromagnetic frequencies or EMFs matched those of the human brain).

What he discovered, Lonetree claims, was remarkable. The naturally occurring magnetic energy coming from the ground at Sedona is "spinning like a tornado" in a vortex pattern.

How then, he wondered, did this phenomenon affect human consciousness? Lonetreee's subjects would react in strange ways to Sedona's magnetic environment, bursting into tears or getting giddy with laughter.

His instruments confirmed that each surge in vortex energy in the ground caused a corresponding surge in subjects' brainwave activity. By drawing human emotions out in this way, the vortex allows us to examine our feelings in ways that make them coherent and manageable, Lonetree suggests.

He also notes that it's significant that the Native Americans (the "Without-Water" or Sinagua) in Sedona have traditionally understood the area as sacred due to the unusual properties of the energy one experiences there. More + AUDIO

Happy "Masculine Energy Day," Dads!

Inner Lotus Music, 10/5/22; Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation), Wisdom Quarterly

Harmony of Yin and Yang | spiritual energy balance and flow | deep healing 432Hz
(Inner Lotus Music) #innerlotusmusic #solfeggiohealingmusic #chakrahealingmusic We may identify with a particular gender, but we’re all born with both yin and yang (feminine/masculine, receptive/active, creative/destructive, nurturing/stimulating, resting/acting) energies.

This specially composed music for meditation and/or sleep in the natural Earth frequency of 432Hz combines both masculine and feminine energy frequencies. It is here to lovingly help balance and harmonize our yin and yang energies ☯️.
We all have the potential to lean more towards one polarity or the other and alternate and change with the seasons or go out of balance. Divine masculine energy, also referred as “Shiva” (and the lingam) deals with aspects such as logic, structure, and making plans for life, whereas “Shakti” is the divine feminine energy, which deals with emotions, intuitions, dreams, creativity, and such.

When these energies go out of balance, we feel undervalued and stressed or unsupported and strained, faulty and absentminded. When our energies are in harmony, we feel a greater sense of presence, of being in the moment, with peace and compassion.

We feel more energized and better connected with others. When it comes to frequency and sound, deep and low frequencies resonate with the masculine energy, whereas higher frequencies tend to resonate more with the feminine energies.

This specially composed music combines both low and hig energy frequencies in the natural tuning of 432Hz.

In addition, balancing both energies can be supported by chanting a mantra ("thought instrument"), such as "OM." Chant while listening if needed. Or if it feels better to just let the music play, then this is what’s best.

I am convinced that composing music in the original 432Hz frequency leads to better results when deploying positive energy and benefits of this natural frequency. Feel free to listen to this meditation and/or sleep music with headphones at a moderate level or just let it flow through open space. As long as it is positive for body and mind, it will be positive.

Love and gratitude 🧡🙏🏼

Kung fu Buddhist monks FIGHT (video)

Fight Light 1/19; Pfc. Sandoval, Dhr. Seven, Pat Macpherson, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Kung fu monks vs. other masters
This is a motivational video for those who train in kung fu. It contains various fights between Shaolin Buddhist monks practicing kung fu and other martial arts.

Kung fu Buddhist monks
Wiki edited by Wisdom Quarterly
The umbrella term kung fu (功夫) or wushu (武術) refers to Chinese martial arts. There are several hundred fighting styles that developed over the centuries.

These styles are often classified according to common traits, identified as martial arts "families" (家/jiā), "sects" (派/pài), or "schools" (門/mén).

Examples of these traits include Shaolin-quan (少林拳), physical exercises involving mimicry of the Five Animals (五形), and training methods inspired by old Chinese philosophies, religions (animism, Buddhism, Confucianism, shamanism, Taoism), and legends.

Styles that focus on chi (qi, kyi, prana, spiritus) manipulation are called internal (内家拳/nèijiāquán), while others that concentrate on improving muscle and cardio fitness are called "external" (外家拳/wàijiāquán)....

Fighting Shaolin Temple monks

Shaolin Temple was built in 495 AD on Song Mountain, and the first Buddhist monk who taught Buddhism there was the Indian monk Ven. Buddhabhadra (佛陀跋陀罗/Fótuóbátuóluó), called Batuo (跋陀).

His first two Chinese disciples, Huiguang and Sengchou, had exceptional martial abilities. Sengchou's skill with a tin staff is documented in the Chinese Buddhist canon.

After Ven. Buddhabadra, there came a western South Indian Buddhist monk named Ven. Bodhidharma (菩提达摩/Pútídámó), called Damo (达摩). It was 527 AD. His Chinese disciple, Huike, was also a skilled martial arts expert.

The implication is that these first three Chinese Shaolin monks -- Huiguang, Sengchou, and Huike -- may have been military men before entering the Buddhist monastic life.

The Shaolin style of kung fu is regarded as one of the first institutionalized Chinese martial arts.

The oldest evidence of Shaolin participation in combat is a stele from 728 CE. It attests to two occasions, a defense of Shaolin Monastery from bandits around 610 CE, and their subsequent role in the defeat of Wang Shichong at the Battle of Hulao in 621 CE.

However, from the 8th to the 15th centuries, there are no existing documents that provide evidence of Shaolin participation in any combat. More
