'Viagra for women,' Big Pharma boon?

Our Aphrodisiac Sampling Party produced no immediate results according to our "score" card
Amy King, KFI AM 649 news
Spring is coming! You know what that means. 🛌🍆💕 Cleaning, of course. And maybe a clean house will finally put her in the mood. But don't count on it. This whole marriage was a bait-and-switch! Enter, Addyi (as in addi-ction). Now there will be no excuse. Of course, how much has it even changed the world? It is not exactly new, just getting a new advertising push.

Once upon a time, "the pill" changed the world, starting in this country with women's lib, the Sixties, free love, and an end to the fear of unwanted pregnancies.

IDK why I get my freak on once a month.
What color was that pill? Pharmaceutical white, we think. Then came a revolution in capitalist medicine, a big blue pill (Viagra®) that changed the world.

Marriages rejoiced until they yawned and turned over and kept grumbling, "Get off me." What to do, what to do? Ah, better living through chemistry was the slogan at raves that pumped the EDM to bright synthetic colors and chemicals.

I don't need it. Being lust-free is not a problem.
Finally, after decades of trying -- after millennia of aphrodisiac promises and recipes, slaughter shellfish rich in zinc, drupe fruits hanging languorously from the bough and branch, vine and even emerging from the ground (pomegranate, fig, avocado berry, strawberry, amla, gooseberry, camu camu...) What is the secret substance?

Feel nada? Maybe BDSM? Secretary Mag Gyllenhaal
Ah, clean vegan protein hits the spot.
Big Pharma now has something to sell to dissatisfied husbands and intrepid women who want to feel what they no longer feel or never felt, given years of sexism and trauma and inverted onanism no one is allowed to talk about, not that they would talk about it since the real occupation is in the mind. Free our minds and our butts will follow? That's the saying.

I should marry and do this while she sleeps.
Drop a pharmaceutical -- along with all the antidepressants (mostly SSRIs), dopaminergic Adderall, obtunding alcohol. and whatever else the dealers on campus are dealing -- and hop in bed? That would be surprising.

What kind of obsession can desire become?
No one believed beets and nitric acid could do anything, but Viagra proved otherwise until every corporation rushed to release their own versions of the same thing. Cialis® anyone? That market is saturated (with generic sildenafil). Now it's time to soak some new sheets. Enter, Addyi® (flibanserin). Is it only for "working girls" like Julia Roberts? No, they don't want to enjoy it or be in any mood but moneygrubbing mode, the better for the heartless gold-digging.

The hidden danger and depravity of sensual lust
Addyi is the only FDA-approved pill proven to increase a woman's sex drive. Addyi is a 100% [synthetic allopathic chemical compound but it is a] hormone-free pill for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder (HSDD) proven to help certain premenopausal women*:
  • have more interest in sex
  • have more satisfying sex
  • lower stress (from low libido).
.
Do we get money back if it doesn't work?
(BTW, look carefully, perv. That's her leg!)
*Efficacy of Addyi was established in three 24-week trials in over 2,000 premenopausal women with acquired, generalized HSDD. Patients were treated with Addyi (n=1,187) or placebo (n=1,188) [n being the number of participants in a study].

Not all women will experience similar improvement for their HSDD. For the last 10 years, Addyi has been the #1 prescribed treatment for HSDD [1] in women who have not yet gone through menopause, who have not had problems with low sexual desire in the past, and who have low sexual desire no matter the type of sexual activity, the situation, or the sexual partner.

Sexbot: Wait, what, you're saying I'm not a "real" woman? This pill didn't work! Get off of me!
.
Women with HSDD have low sexual desire that is troubling to them. Their low sexual desire is not due to:
  • a medical or mental health problem [such as having been molested, assaulted, or raped, Live Beyond ACEs!],
  • problems in the relationship
  • or medicine
  • or other drug use.
I get a real charge out of suckers men for my Tesla
Addyi is not for use for the treatment of HSDD in women who have gone through menopause or in men or children [anyone under 18, depending on geographical location and political climate].

Addyi is not for use to enhance sexual performance [so, sorry, working girls, you'll just have to rely on the same illegal drugs you've been using up until now].

Magic in Pandora's bottle or an evil genie?
Sex therapist and researcher Leonore Tiefer shuttered the New View Campaign, an organization she had founded to combat what she refers to as “the medicalization of sex” — essentially, the pharmaceutical industry’s efforts to define variations in sexuality and sexual problems as medical issues requiring a drug fix.

For 16 years, the group had fought against industry’s involvement in sex research, including its push for a drug to boost women’s sex drives.

New View hosted conferences and its members penned papers and testified before the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The campaign was prominently featured in an 80-minute documentary called Orgasm Inc, and promoted a clever (if off-pitch) video advising women to “throw that pink pill away,” a reference to the female-libido drug flibanserin (Addyi), which was seeking FDA approval at the time.

Orgasm Inc, that's a real thing? Is it Rated X?

New View counted some successes: The FDA didn’t approve an allegedly libido-boosting testosterone patch for women, on the grounds that the patch’s slim benefits didn’t outweigh its risks, and the FDA twice rejected flibanserin for the same reason.

But [ten years ago] in August 2015, the agency reversed itself and approved the so-called pink Viagra. “I felt we’d said everything we had to say,” said Tiefer of ending the campaign.

Advocates predicted FDA approval would be sought for additional women’s libido drugs, but the group felt there was nothing they could do to stop it. More

JnJ sells nasal ketamine for depression

What is the worst source of info on drugs? - Big Pharma press releases on their own product.
.
SPRAVATO® (esketamine) approved in the US as the first and only monotherapy for adults with treatment-resistant depression
Special K (ketamine) is called a psychedelic.
[Matthew "Chandler" Perry would love it, wouldn't he?] Following U.S. FDA Priority Review, approval is based on data demonstrating SPRAVATO® alone met its primary endpoint at 4 weeks and led to rapid and superior improvement in depressive symptoms compared to placebo as early as 24 hours [1].

SPRAVATO® alone showed a rapid and superior improvement vs. placebo in the Montgomery-Asberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) total score, with numerical improvements across all 10 MADRS items seen at day 28 in a post-hoc analysis [2].
Monotherapy data adds to well-established clinical efficacy and real-world safety profile

TITUSVILLE, New Jersey, Jan. 21, 2025 – Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) announced today the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII nasal spray, making this innovative treatment the first and only monotherapy for adults living with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have had an inadequate response to at least two oral antidepressants.

MDD is one of the most common psychiatric disorders, with an estimated 21 million adults in the U.S. living with the disease. About one-third of adults will not respond to oral antidepressants alone, which has a significant negative impact on the quality of life of those affected. MDD has a high economic burden, with nearly half of it attributable to treatment-resistant depression (TRD) [3,4,5]. More

Mindfulness as effective as antidepressants

The Buddha taught mindfulness.
Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) was found to be as effective as the antidepressant escitalopram in reducing agoraphobia, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder symptoms.

The muti-institution study, led by the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, Maryland, suggests that mindfulness (sati) practices may offer a viable alternative to medication for treating anxiety disorders, with significantly fewer side effects.

Anxiety disorders affect millions of people and are frequently treated with medications like selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).

Ketamine and psychedelics may also work better than toxic antidepressants.
.
While SSRIs can be an effective tool in countering the symptoms of anxiety disorders, they also come with side effects that can negatively impact a patient's quality of life in other ways.

In the case of escitalopram (sold as Lexapro and Cipralex), these adverse effects include nausea, headaches, dry mouth, excessive sweating, insomnia, and fatigue.

The research team previously demonstrated that eight weeks of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) was non-inferior to escitalopram in providing stress relief and emotional regulation without having the additional drawbacks (avoiding the side effects of synthetic allopathic drugs).

In a new research letter, "Mindfulness Meditation vs Escitalopram for Treatment of Anxiety Disorders: Secondary Analysis of a Randomized Clinical Trial," published in JAMA Network Open, the team presents the secondary outcomes of patient-reported anxiety, depression, and quality of life from the previous study.

The study
Drugs disrupt enzyme processes like magic.
The study involved 276 adults diagnosed with various anxiety disorders (including agoraphobia, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder). Participants were randomly assigned to either the MBSR program or escitalopram treatment. The MBSR group attended weekly sessions focused on mindfulness meditation techniques, while the escitalopram group received dosages ranging from 10 to 20 mg per day with regular clinical follow-ups. Researchers used multiple standardized scales to measure anxiety, depression, and quality of life, both from patient and clinician perspectives. Blinded evaluators conducted assessments using tools like the Beck Anxiety Inventory and the PROMIS Anxiety Short Form.
Findings
I'll take Nature over Big Pharma any day.
Findings revealed that both groups experienced similar reductions in anxiety symptoms over the study period. No significant differences were detected between MBSR and escitalopram in overall anxiety reduction by Week 8, the study's primary endpoint.

Escitalopram showed a slight edge in symptom reduction at the mid-treatment point (Week 4), but these improvements were not sustained by the end of the study.

Adverse event rates were the only significant difference between the two treatments. Nearly 79% of escitalopram recipients reported at least one study-related side effect, compared to just 15% of those in the mindfulness group.

The findings lend greater support for the use of mindfulness-based stress reduction as a reliable treatment for anxiety disorders with fewer risks, making a compelling case for its broader application in clinical settings. COMMENTARY

This pre-pandemic doc warned us
See Vaxxed and Plandemic for more information on vaccine injury. Jimmy Dore (jimmydore.com) is also a vaccine injured person who awoke to what the vaccination industry and Big Pharma were doing as well as the doctors who got in big trouble for speaking out, for example Dr. Judy Mikovits, MD.

For profit doctors do best to go along to get along even as patients die prematurely or are irrevocably injured. Meanwhile. through hastily passed legislation, pharmaceutical companies are made immune to prosecution for any consequences from use of their vaccine preparations.

This is the great advantage of securing "emergency use authorizations," which is not possible if there is any other viable treatment. There are other viable treatments, such as the very safe and famous human drug ivermectin, but it cannot be acknowledged by doctors because that will ruin the pharmaceutical companies' immunity because EUA cannot legally be granted. Research it.

Cholesterol good for us: avoid frying

Forbidden Cures (Dr. Wallach)
This sounds crazy. "Everyone" knows cholesterol is bad. That's why the body makes it and makes so much of it and uses it for so many things. The fact is, Dr. Joel Wallach (criticalhealthnews.com) has been singing the praises of cholesterol for a long time. The body could not live without it. It makes hormones from it. If we have too much bad cholesterol, that is almost certainly from bad lifestyle choices, like eating fried foods, rancid oils, dead oils, filtered vegetable seed oils, all of which are very harmful. Fats are good, but know the difference between fats that heal and fats that kill. Good oils real olive oil (a fruit), real avocado (the fruit, not the oil), virgin coconut milk, hemp seed oil (a balanced vegan source of essential fatty acids, Omega 3, 6, and 9), borage seed oil, evening primrose oil, rosehip oil, cacao fat, sea buckthorn, and others. Anything in a plastic bottle exposed to light, heat, or air is dead, rancid, and toxic. Throw it out, and do not eat foods made with it or microwaved. One of the worst things a person can do is take allopathic statin drugs, which lower cholesterol -- which the body is making to save itself, to fight free radical damage, to heal from fried, burned/oxidized, bad, rancid oils -- production. If we avoid oxidized (microwaved, overcooked, stale, exposed to heat, air, light and other oxidizers) foods, instead choosing fresh, alkalinizing, greens, fruits, and things in their natural/unaltered state, the body has many fewer reasons to make so much cholesterol.

California man 'cured' of cancer, HIV (AIDS)

Editors, Wisdom Quarterly; Jess Cockerill, ScienceAlert.com, 2/25/24; MSN.com

Wrong "medical" advice comes at a HIGH price.
The medical industry, a for-profit business endeavor, tells us things are incurable.

It further says, settle for a treatment because all we can offer is alleviation of symptoms through "sorcery" (poison pharmaceutical intervention), surgery, radiation: burn, kill, cut off things in the body, block enzymatic processes, destroy the liver trying to protect and keep us alive in spite of the efforts of allopathic prescriptions and procedures.
  • BIBLICAL SORCERY: The word pharmacy (pharmaceuticals, pharmacology) is derived from Greek word φάρμακον, pharmakon, meaning "poison" or "drug," together with -λογία, logia, which means "knowledge of" or the "study of" [3,4]. (Compare with the etymology of "pharmacy"). Pharmakon is related to pharmakos, the ritualistic sacrifice or exile of a human scapegoat or victim in Ancient Greek religion. As in the Vietnam War, the authorities as, "What can we kill in you, or for you, to "save" you?
We never said it "cured" anything!
It might not be so bad if they worked as promised. They don't. So the promises are kept to a minimum. Nothing in the headline says "cure." Shut up, take this, pay the bills when we send them, and if you pass away, well, at least we tried. So you can't sue us.

In fact, it has become illegal to refer to anything as a "cure." Nothing cures. And Big Pharma has no interest in "cures" because they make no money that way; money is made by endless "treatments," with medications or interventions we stay on the rest of our miserable lives.
  • How foolish are knee replacements putting metal in the body that at best can last ten years and at worst will soon need to be redone for big profits to the surgeon and hospital?
Capitalism is the "cure" for poor executives.
And if Big Pharma stumbles on a cure by accident, like the cancer cure it once found in a patented medicine that already went into the public domain and therefore could not be milked for profits and exploited by a private corporation, it backpedals and explains why it can't be used.

How about safe and effective antiparasitic Ivermectin for Covid? Fuhgeddaboudit. So how to explain today's ScienceAlert headline that a California man is now free of HIV [~AIDS] and cancer in astonishing medical recovery?

Stem cells can "cure" incurable diseases?
I may look sickly but I'm alive and healthier than this doctor. Paul Edmonds (center) with doctors Jana K. Dickter and Monzr M. Al Malki (City of Hope, Duarte, California)
.
More shots!? - If this doesn't kill you, you'll live
On the list of illnesses that nobody wants, cancer and HIV [AIDS] both rank pretty high, and Californian man Paul Edmonds had both.

But ever since one particular [stem cell] "treatment" five years ago, he's been free of both cancer and HIV. The patient is now considered in remission from acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).

Let's see how TOXIC we can make this batch.
In another two years, he could be considered "cured" of HIV, as that will mark five years from his last treatment.

To celebrate, the medical team behind his astonishing recovery have published a letter describing the case in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Rockefeller: no natural meds, all Big Pharma

Mike MacRae as "Mitt Romney," Guest Host Craig "Pasta" Jardula, comedic sidekick Kurt Metzger (TJDS at jimmydore.com); Ashley Wells, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

What is the goal of Big Pharma? - Big Profit$
John D. Rockefeller KILLED natural medicine and started Big Pharma to consolidate Big Oil, war for profit, and "allopathic" toxic synthetic chemicals as "medicine," giving symptomatic relief -- costly "treatments" -- while outlawing the use of the word "cure" for any medical claim. Natural medicinals, which worked for centuries or longer in the case of Native American herbs and wholistic care.

Thoughtcrime is a de facto crime (1984).
Who was behind the takedown of Russell Brand? When mainstream media giants investigate, fabricate, and insinuate, it's over. But why did Brand need to silenced? And who was behind the push to dredge up 20-year-old incidents no one was complaining about? Was Brand a promiscuous slut? Admittedly so. Was YouTube eager to find any reason to deplatform the popular influencer? He had to be stopped at all costs. So what if he's not been found guilty of anything? He wasn't being investigated, so an investigation was opened to justify maligning him and keeping him off the utility that YouTube has become for so many influencers. Censor yourself or be censored.
