(The Telegraph) The earliest depiction of the creation of the universe has been found on a 4,300-year-old silver goblet discovered in the West Bank, Palestine.

The vessel shows “before and after” scenes with a human-chimera figure confronted by a monstrous snake [naga in Buddhism], before the snake is subdued and the Sun takes its place in the sky, held aloft by two deities.

The artifact, which is 3.1 inches (7.9 cm) high, is known as the Ain Samiya goblet, and was found in the 1970s near Kafr Malik in the West Bank.

Scientists from China reported the “long-sought” birth of a male primate containing a high proportion of cells derived from a monkey stem cell line.

The contribution of stem cells in different tissue types ranged from 21 percent to 92 percent, according to the Chinese team.

The “chimeric” monkey is composed of cells that originated from two genetically distinct embryos of the same species of monkey, according to research published in the journal Cell.

The process has previously been achieved in rats and mice but, until now, has not been possible in other species, including non-human primates.

Study leader Dr. Zhen Liu, of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), said: “This is a long-sought goal in the field.

When I started to practice meditation in the early seventies it was hip. Everybody was meditating; every weekend you could take a workshop in another form of meditation. The advertisements for the workshops usually suggested that at the end of the weekend you'd be totally enlightened.

I remember once going to a party that looked like a regular party -- people talking, visiting, and laughing -- and in the middle sat a woman with a strange look on her face, eyes closed, face serene, totally tuned out from the whole scene.

Somebody leaned over to me and said, "Look at her, she's enlightened," and I thought to myself, "If that's what enlightenment is, I don't want it."

What I did want, at least for a while, were exotic powers. I heard extraordinary stories of people who could bilocate or levitate. Sometimes, as I sat on my cushion and experienced an unusual lightness in my body, I imagined I was about to levitate. I hoped I would. I thought it would be a far-out thing, rising up off my cushion and floating in the air.

I think I was also influenced by a story my grandfather told about my grandmother -- a woman who died when I was nine years old. I knew here as a sickly old woman, but my grandfather remembered her as the very beautiful woman he had married when she was 18 years old. He told me she was so beautiful that "she glowed in the dark." I asked him if he really meant that, and he said, "Yes, she really did." 

He said, "At my nephew Murray Fox's wedding, the hall was lit with gaslight because it was before electricity, so it was quite dark, and everyone said, 'Look at Fischel's wife, she shines in the dark!'" I held that as a wonderful, luminous memory and as an ideal. What I wanted to achieve from my meditation practice was to shine in the dark. I think a lot of us in the early days wanted magic.

My Buddhist meditation teachers, whom I met in 1977, talked about enlightenment but not about magic. They talked about "seeing clearly" and how it could mean happiness and the end of suffering. That sounded like the kind of magic I wanted most. More

The Avatars Are Coming?

(iHelo58) Guest host John B. Wells muddles through a classic Stephen Quayle interview (7-7-11). Quayle is an unapologetic Christian filtering his understanding through the teachings of St. Issa and ancient Jewish lore. Even if the filter and assumptions around it are wrong, there is much to be said for his core message.

A year ago Coast to Coast welcomed author and researcher Steve Quayle, author of Angel Wars, who discussed the secret forces aligned with some humans against humanity since ancient times and how genetics, nanotechnology, and robotics are permanently changing the world.

  

"In every single country of the world," Quayle explains, "there are legends which tell of entities who come to Earth not only bestowing their secrets upon humans but also going to war with mankind." 

  

Quayle states emphatically that this topic is "too formidable a subject to ignore in any way, shape, or form."

He traces the root of this ongoing battle to be a "supernatural, evil hierarchy" using misguided humans to corrupt the tribal Judeo-Christian God's work on Earth. These human agents of Satan [the Christian super-Mara, an embodiment of all evil] believe they will be given greater power by yielding their freewill to malevolent forces.

  

However, Quayle warns, "that power they yield to will ultimately consume and destroy them." He points to transhumanism as one key aspect of this agenda: "The goal is not to help humanity be all we can be," he laments. Instead, Quayle contends that the aim is to create a race of quasi-gods who will supplant the human race as we know it. 

  

"If anything, the old-style human beings will be an irritation or reminder of what the transhumanists once were."
   

Quayle also revealed this bombshell: The current economic crisis is actually being orchestrated as a tool to advance this destructive agenda. Sinister power brokers are "throwing the world into a global economic meltdown in order to bring about the New World Order..."

  

The unrest in the Middle East, ongoing "weather wars" [as seen recently with the attack on Beijing, which got six months worth of rain in one day], and the increasingly obvious police state in America are additional facets of this spiritual battle that encompasses political, social, and economic arenas.

  

Quayle is "not a prophet" (with a secret means of communication with a creator god), so he is reticent to predict how things will unfold. But he does have theories. For example, the much-discussed end of the world Mayan Calendar date of December 21st, 2012 might be a target date to "launch their world program."

There must be some kind of mistake. These kinds of things don't happen. This is impossible; the alleles don't match up. It would be cloning gone wrong. It would be unethical to meld human consciousness with animal forms and create Humanzees like Oliver or Bigfoot giants Frankenstein-style. "Project Nim" is one thing, but surely this cannot be. What's today, April 1st? It must be a Rupert Murdoch distraction from a reputable London paper. Just because Dr. Joseph Mengele came to see the Reservation schools Native Americans and Indigenous Canadians were imprisoned, molested, and experimented on, that doesn't mean they were hybridized or part of the Nazi plan to genetically manipulate and conduct vivisection studies. Of all the reported sightings and contacts between humans and the legendary Sasquatch or Bigfoot, one of the most fascinating documented cases occurred in the community of Lake Worth, just northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.

Not only did over 100 people report seeing the creature, in some cases there were up to 40 people who saw it at the same time and place, among them police officers who noted the episodes in their official reports.

This intriguing story, with many of the elements of a B-grade movie thriller, took place over a few months. It began in the summer of 1969.

Complete with bizarre descriptions and incredible events, the tale could be dismissed by skeptics as the product of mass hysteria or a hoax.

However to the open mind, there may be something of substance in the records. They include a unique Polaroid photograph. It has been analyzed with modern digital image-rectifying techniques and has revealed characteristics that are in accord with other, more recent photographic evidence.

The Unbelievable Story

In the pre-dawn hours of a summer's day, six terrified citizens burst into the local police station. John Reichert and his wife, along with two other couples, related that they had been at the park along the lake after in the middle of the night, enjoying the balmy weather and moonlight on the lake.

Suddenly, crashing down through the trees above, and landing with a tremendous slam on the hood of the car, was a huge, hideous creature. It reached out for Mrs. Reichart, trying to grab her. John started the car and slammed it into gear.

At the roar of the engine and the with the car jerking into motion, the creature bounded off into the woods, having left an eighteen-inch scratch on the side of the car. And here's where the story grew stranger: they described the creature as something resembling a cross between a man and a goat that not only had fur -- but also fish-like scales!

The police, impressed by the agitated state and the agreement of all six witnesses, took them seriously. In fact, there had been reports in the previous two months of strange beings lurking in the deep, thick forests north of town, which border the lake.

Four patrol cars were dispatched to the scene. The story generated such interest that it made the second page of the Fort Worth Star Telegram on July 10th. "Fishy Man-Goat Terrifies couples Parked at Lake Worth," read the headline of the article. More

And will it be a minor act of cannibalism to slaughter and eat these part-human cows once their usefulness to the dairy industry and factory-farming ranchers is exhausted? Here's the story, reported as if every "scientific breakthrough" is something to brag about:

The scientists behind the research believe milk from herds of genetically modified (GM) cows could provide an alternative to human breast milk and formula milk for babies, which is often criticized as being an inferior substitute.
  
They hope GM dairy products from herds of similar cows could be sold in supermarkets. The research has the backing of a major biotechnology company.
  
The work is likely to inflame opposition to GM foods. Critics of the technology and animal welfare groups reacted angrily to the research, questioning the safety of milk from genetically modified animals and its effect on the cattle's health. More
