Graham Hancock: Yoga in Mohenjo-daro

Graham Hancock: Yoga in Mohenjo-daro

Pashupati seal impression
(Journey With The Mystics) There is a famous Mohenjo-daro seal called the Pashupati or the "Lord of the Animals" as if it were the Vedic/Hindu deity.

It is likely much older than this division of the Hindu trinity. It shows an advanced yoga pose, a lotus position with heels touching and facing upwards.

Lord Shiva (Sivakempfort)
Sadly, no one has yet rigged artificial intelligence to crack the code and decipher the ancient Indus Valley Civilization language of this area and/or what was spoken in Harappa (since it seems to not have been an early/archaic form of Vedic Sanskrit as one might guess).

Nukes over Mohenjo-Daro (ancient India)

Scientists discovered a lost civilization in the desert that vaporized and turned to glass
(LifesBiggestQuestions) Sept. 12, 2024: In what is now Pakistan (born in 1947 at Partition from India), the ancient ruins of Mohenjo-daro (the City of the Dead) hint at an advanced civilization's mysterious demise.

Could their end have come about by a sudden catastrophe rather than gradual decline?

Evidence of vitrified (glass-ified) structures and skeletal remains suggests a powerful superheated force swept through this metropolis of the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC), which also included neighboring Harappa. Explore the theory: Was Mohenjo-Daro atomically vaporized, leaving melted nuclear ruins?

Uncover archeological clues like scattered skeletons of people who died on the spot, still holding hands and evacuating, and enigmatic "glass beads." What caused this devastation? A natural disaster? An ancient weapon mentioned in the Vedas?

Discover the unsettling possibilities surrounding this ancient city's destruction and history's first use of atomic weapons on a civilian population, even before the war crimes the USA committed in Japan, Bikini Atol, and the Nevada and underground test sites, which are still making people sick.

Indians: Harappans (Indus Valley Civilization)

Namit Arora, The Wire, 1/5/24; Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Indians | Ep 1: The Harappans | A Brief History of a Civilization
(The Wire) The story of India is one of profound and continuous change. It has been shaped by the dynamic of migration, conflict, mixing, coexistence, and cooperation.

In this 10-part web series, Namit Arora tells the story of Indians and our civilization by exploring some of our greatest historical sites, most of which were lost to memory and were dug out by archeologists.

He will also focus on ancient and medieval foreign travelers whose idiosyncratic accounts conceal surprising insights about us Indians.

All along, Arora surveys India’s long and exciting churn of cultural ideas, beliefs, and values — some that still shape us today, and others that have been lost forever.

The series mostly mirrors — and often extends — the contents of his book, Indians: A Brief History of a Civilization. The bibliography appears below.

Episode 1: The Harappans The ruins of the Harappan (aka Indus Valley) Civilization were unearthed a mere 100 years ago. And what a discovery it was!

It greatly expanded India's civilizational past. The Harappans built the first cities in the Indian Subcontinent and a material culture that included advanced urban design, city-wide sanitation, and the first indoor toilets in the world.

In this episode, Namit Arora explores its mature period, 2600–1900 BCE, at sites across western [Proto-]India and Pakistan.

He compares it with other Bronze Age civilizations in Mesopotamia and Egypt and considers what distinguishes the Harappans from others — such as a much flatter social class hierarchy and no clear evidence of temples, priests, big statues, palaces, weapons of war, or standing armies.

He looks at Harappan lifestyles and the stories that emerge from surviving artifacts: pottery, seals, figurines, toys, jewelry, sartorial fashions, social organization, dietary norms and discusses their metallurgy, tools, textiles, ships, trade, and burial customs.

Their monumental work was the city itself, a marvel of engineering. In the excavated city of Dholavira in Gujarat, the narrator wanders its streets and homes laid out on a grid-like plan and looks at their achievements in water harvesting, storage, and drainage systems, as well as what may be the first stadium anywhere in the world!

Arora also examines the languages the Harappans likely spoke, their undeciphered script, theories about their demise, and how their legacy still shapes us today.

Buddhism in Ancient Gandhara (Afghanistan)

Khyentse Foundation, Nov. 10, 2022; Dhr. Seven, Pat Macpherson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
The golden face of the Scythian Prince Siddhartha, the Buddha (Mes Aynak, Afghanistan)

The Goodman Lectures: Buddhism in Ancient Gandhara and Recent Manuscript Discoveries
(Khyentse Foundation) The Goodman Lectures. Professor Mark Allon of the University of Sydney presented this talk on October 22, 2022.
Several major collections of Buddhist manuscripts from ancient Buddhist Gandhara (present-day northern Pakistan and eastern Afghanistan [both of which were parts of India before Partition in 1947]) have come to light over the past three decades.

The oldest of these are the Gandhari [language] manuscripts, which date from approximately the 1st century BCE to the 3rd century CE, making them the earliest Buddhist manuscripts yet found.

After a historical survey of Buddhism in Gandhara (Central Asia), including local artistic innovations and the importance of the region in the spread of Buddhism to Central Asia and China, this lecture highlights:
  • recent manuscript discoveries,
  • the impact they are having on our understanding of Buddhism,
  • the new technologies that make collaboration and digital repatriation possible.
ABOUT: Khyentse Foundation has organized this series. These online offerings by leading Buddhist Studies scholars are called "The Goodman Lectures." They are organized in honor of long-time Khyentse Foundation friend and advisor Professor Steven D. Goodman (1945–2020), whose enduring vision to make academic talks available to people beyond the classroom inspired Khyentse Foundation and its friends in academia to share their Buddhist knowledge and insight with a general audience.

Forbidden Archeology: Vedas, Indus Valley Civ.

The 5th Kind, Jan. 5, 2023 Dhr. Seven, Pat Macpherson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

This changes everything! Hidden history of Vedic knowledge and the Indus Valley Civilization
(The 5th Kind) How long have anatomically modern humans been present on this planet? How far back does the Vedic civilization in India (previously called Great Bharat) go? Were certain gods and deities (brahmas and devas) worshiped within the Solar Dynasty in India as long as 20 million years ago?

Michael Cremo (mcremo.com) reveals all in this video presentation, in association with Portal to Ascension (ascensionconference.com) for information on the upcoming 3-day portal to ascension conference in San Diego, California, April 21-23, 2023.

It will feature Michael Cremo, Linda Moulton Howe, Caroline Cory, Barbara Lamb, and many other amazing presenters. Special thanks to Neil Gaur @portaltoascension for this collaboration.

Check out PTA on YouTube (youtube.com/channel...). Were there Vedic designs inside Indus Valley Civilization sites? Is there any archeological evidence that humans like us have been present on earth for millions [even hundreds of millions] of years? Were humans like us on earth 20 million years ago?
The Puranas: Vedic history tells a version of human history that is much, much older than the one currently accepted by mainstream science. Michael Cremo is a journalist, whistleblower, and researcher of human origins and an international authority on archeological anomalies (out of place artifacts).

He has authored several books, including the bestselling Forbidden Archaeology, in which he argues that humans existed on earth as long as 40 million years ago.

The Forbidden Archeologist: Human Devolution, Forbidden Archeology's Impact, and the Hidden History of the Human Race was co-authored by Richard Thompson. His published works are highly endorsed by academics and researchers around the world.

Michael Cremo has been invited to present his research in some of the leading scientific institutions of the world. The royal institution of London, the Russian Academy of Science, the Moscow Department of Anthropology, the Indian Institute of Science, and many others. He has also appeared widely on television shows such as the History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” and the Gaia TV series “Ancient Civilizations.”

Michael Cremo’s work in archeology and research of the ancient Sanskrit writings of India (and proto-India) has revealed a long and mysterious history of human origins, spirituality, and paleocontact.

Who is mystic composer Gustav Holst?
Blissful composer Gustav Holst
Happy birthday, English classical composer Gustav Holst (1874–1934)), who would have been 148 today if secret technology in the government's possession were already made public. What a loss.

(Wiki) As a composer Holst was frequently inspired by literature. He set poetry by Thomas Hardy, Robert Bridges, and American Walt Whitman, whose words he set in "Dirge for Two Veterans" and "The Mystic Trumpeter" (1904).

Influences: ,Max Muller, Whitman, Hardy, Bridges
Holst wrote an orchestral Walt Whitman Overture in 1899 [4]. While on tour with the Carl Rosa Company, Holst had read some of Max Müller's books on Buddhism, Hinduism, and Eastern Philosophy (Dharmic Religions), which inspired in him a keen interest in Sanskrit (ancient Indian and proto-Indian) texts, particularly the Rig Veda (the oldest spiritual scripture in the world) hymns [59].

He found the existing English versions of the texts unconvincing [n 9] and decided to make his own translations, despite his lack of skills as a linguist. He enrolled in 1909 at University College, London, to study the language [60]. Imogen commented on his translations:

Indus Valley Yoga
"He was not a poet, and there are occasions when his verses seem naïve. But they never sound vague or slovenly, for he had set himself the task of finding words that would be 'clear and dignified' and that would 'lead the listener into another world'" [61].

His settings of translations of Sanskrit texts included Sita (1899–1906), a three-act opera based on an episode in the Ramayana (which he eventually entered for a competition for English opera set by the Milan music publisher Tito Ricordi) [62]; Savitri (1908), a chamber opera based on a tale from the Mahabharata; four groups of Hymns from the Rig Veda (1908–1914); and two texts originally by Kālidāsa: Two Eastern Pictures (1909–1910) and The Cloud Messenger (1913) [4]. Oldest spiritual scriptures: Rig Veda (video)

New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove, June 10, 2019; Eds., Wisdom Quarterly

Understanding the Rig Veda with Debashish Banerji
(New Thinking Allowed with Jeffrey Mishlove) The guest is Haridas Chaudhuri Professor of Indian Philosophies and Cultures and Chairman of the East West Psychology Department at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco Debashish Banerji, PhD.

Prof. Banerji is the author of Seven Quartets of Becoming: A Transformative Yoga Psychology Based on the Diaries of Sri Aurobindo and also The Alternate Nation of Abanindranath Tagore, a book about his great grandfather.

There is much in the mind yet to fathom.
He edited an anthology about his great uncle, Rabindranath Tagore in the Twenty-First Century. His newest anthology is titled Critical Posthumanism and Planetary Futures. Here he discusses the cosmology inherent in what is arguably the world's oldest religious scripture, the Rig Veda, aspects of which are surprisingly modern.

He points out that the Vedas share many Indo-European traits. The ancient Greek pantheon is similar to Rigvedic deities, which predates it by millennia. Dr. Banerji refers to hymns celebrating the use of a mysterious bliss-inducing entheogen known as "Soma."

How shall we become Western mystics?
He elaborates upon the role of sacrifice in ancient India. He also notes that this ancient proto-Indian (Indus Valley Civilization) scripture can be viewed in a psychological context.

New Thinking Allowed Host Dr. Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is the author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man.

Vajrayana Buddhism is greatly influenced
ABOUT: Between 1986 and 2002 Dr. Mishlove hosted and co-produced the original "Thinking Allowed" public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded (1980) by an accredited university -- in this case the greatest public school in the world, the University of California at Berkeley.

He has served as vice-president of the Association for Humanistic Psychology and is the recipient of its Pathfinder Award for outstanding contributions to the field of human consciousness. He is also past-president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people are encouraged to cultivate and apply their inner, intuitive abilities.

US nuked humans in Hiroshima (video)

Mushroom cloud: Atomic blast or tons of explosive chemical fertilizer? Poor Lebanon.

  • HIROSHIMA NAGASAKI 75: "Healing Hearts, Healing Nations," Japan Aug. 6, 7:00-9:00 am. WATCH: worldpeace.org.
US bombing Japan story: Tour around the atomic hypocenter
(★Wao Ryu! Only in Japan) Today is the 75th anniversary of the U.S. killing innocent Japanese civilians by bombing Hiroshima then bombing the City of Nagasaki three days later after seeing what the new bomb did. It was Aug. 6 and 9, 1945.

Shinto shrine to deal with the spirits (kami)
It’s a karmic act that changed everything. The atomic bomb decimated the city, killing nearly everyone near the targeted blast. Fast forward 75 years and Hiroshima is again a beautiful city on the outside but contaminated and carcinogenic, resurrected from the atomic ruins of the post-war period.

Near the hypocenter is the Hiroshima Memorial Peace Park and Museum. And across the river, the A-Bomb Dome sits as it did, destroyed by the bomb that left it in contaminated ruins. Let's look at the area around the hypocenter and watch old video footage from 1945 after the U.S. bombing.

A witness describes in detail the horror he saw firsthand as he volunteered to help in Hiroshima the next day.

This is the fourth generation since the U.S. committed genocide with radioactive bombs. The kids who could remember are now in their 80s and 90s.

Let's surrender before they kill all.
Yuji is a third generation Hiroshima resident since the bombing who wants to share the city of Hiroshima so people remember the past. He learned firsthand history from his great uncle, who told him stories as a kid of the horrors of that day and how the city was rebuilt. Another reason he gives is that he wants to teach his son so he can pass on the stories from his family who were alive nearby on the tragic day. They're now tour guides in Hiroshima.

At age 92, Yuji’s great uncle shares his story of a day he will never forget. He lived in Kure City near by, saw the mushroom cloud and went into the city to help. His account is graphic, and the scene is grim and real.

The city cannot erase its past, but it can move on and write the next chapter in its history. That is where Hiroshima is today. Tourism to the city is increasing, many international visitors stop by Hiroshima to understand what happened on that day, pay their respects, and tours like the one with Yuji and Magical Trip I took is a way to understand just how much the city changed that day and how it’s re-invented itself since. I hope you can feel something for Hiroshima and if you are in Japan, it's a must visit destination.

Magical Trip (https://www.magical-trip.com) helped with this story to connect present and past to get a better understanding of where Hiroshima came from and where it is going.【ビジネス関連のお問い合わせは agency@wao-corp.comへ】

COMMENTARY
Lebanon's mushroom cloud (express.co.uk)
Murder (killing of any kind) is bad karma. Mass murder is horrific karma. If only four are killed in an incident, that's defined as "mass" murder. Lebanon is looking at Israel after the massive explosion as if the Mossad were involved, but there's plausible deniability. When Japan and history look at the United States military, there's no denying, no avoiding the fact that our country is the only nation to nuclear bomb human beings, intentionally killing hundreds of thousands with atomic "devices," in history. (In prehistory it may have happened in ancient India/Maha Bharat in the time of otherworldly rule near Mohenjo-daro and Harappa). What must the kami and the Japanese people think of this war crime/holocaust/crime against humanity? What do we think of our own military-industrial complex and the PsyOps propaganda machine that makes us believe "all's fair in love and war"? Not all is fair. That's why there are war crimes. It was 75 years ago today and the 9th.

Indus Valley Civilization: proto-India (video)

Ancient Astronaut Archive, 8/2/19; Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

8,000-Year-Old Indus Valley Civilization: Mohenjo-daro and Harappa
For several decades academia has claimed to know the ages of our planet’s oldest known civilizations. They have given us precise timelines that essentially make up what we know of as our historical paradigm. At the same time independent researchers and scholars question and challenge these timelines as being inconsistent and in many cases incorrect. Perhaps the best example of this inaccuracy is the age of the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC). For over a century Western academics have taught that the IVC is about 5,500 years old. It was recently determined that they were off by at least 2,500 years.

Earth? Vedic cosmology and Mt. Meru (video)

Dorje Daka (Feb. 2, 2017); Dhr. Seven, Seth Auberon, Pat Macpherson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Mount Sumeru is in the center of our "island" (dvipa, world) in Vedic and Buddhist cosmology.

For thousands of years before the heliocentric, spinning ball earth was conceived, Vedic wisdom from the world's most ancient (pre-Indian Indus Valley Civilization) texts purported a geocentric flat earth cosmology in which the immaterial, internal worlds of consciousness are given equal consideration and credited with the creation of the external, material world itself (Dorje Daka). Could our earth be flat? Research:
  • 1. Horizon always rises to eye level.
    2. Water always finds its level.

    3. Gyroscopes always remain level throughout worldwide airplane flight travel.

    4. The star Polaris never moves from its position despite earth's alleged  travel through space.

    5. There is no measurable curvature on the horizon.

    6. Terminator line on the moon during the day often does not coincide with sun's directional light.

    7. Gravity is explained by simple buoyancy and density of objects.

    8. There is no independent photographic evidence of satellites.

    9. There are very questionable flight paths in the southern hemisphere that make no sense but make perfect sense on a flat earth.

    10. The Antarctic Treaty forbids freedom of movement to and in the Antarctic, the only place on earth no one owns.

    11. The Van Allen Radiation Belt makes ordinary space travel impossible utilizing current publicly disclosed technology and materials.

    12. Water bubbles are frequently seen on NASA's alleged International Space Station (ISS) live video footage because they are actually filmed in swimming pool to simulate zero gravity and use green screen Hollywood technology for the background.

    13. The U.S. moon landing shown on TV was faked.

    14. The sun and globe earth model has many contradictions.

Pre-India: Mysteries of Mohenjo-Daro (video)

Mysteries of Mohenjo-Daro
Ancient-Astronaut ArgumentsThousands of years ago, the mysterious Asian city of Mohenjo-Daro was home to an unknown, advanced, and prosperous civilization that used unknown technology and constructed buildings that were unique in the ancient world.

Artifacts, relics, and ruins reveal startling evidence that the inhabitants of Mohenjo-Daro possessed inventions that were far ahead of their time -- including nuclear weapons. How and from whom did these remarkable people acquire knowledge of such sophisticated technology? Why did this enigmatic civilization vanish? The history of the ancient world is full of secrets.

Indus Valley Civilization: Proto-"India"

(Ancient History Encyclopedia, ancient.eu); Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly

The Indus Valley Civilization was an ancient civilization located in what is [as of 1948] Pakistan and northwest India today, on the fertile flood plain of the Indus River and its vicinity.

Evidence of religious practices in this area date back approximately to 5500 BCE. Farming settlements began around 4000 BCE and around 3000 BCE there appeared the first signs of urbanization. By 2600 BCE, dozens of towns and cities had been established, and between 2500 and 2000 BCE the Indus Valley Civilization was at its peak.

The Life of the Indus Valley Civilization
Two cities, in particular, have been excavated at the sites of Mohenjo-Daro on the lower Indus, and at Harappa, further upstream.

The evidence suggests they had a highly developed city life; many houses had wells and bathrooms as well as an elaborate underground drainage system.

The social conditions of the citizens were comparable to those in Sumeria and superior to the contemporary Babylonians and Egyptians. These cities display a well-planned urbanization system.

The evidence suggests they had a highly developed city life; many houses had wells and bathrooms as well as an elaborate underground drainage system.

There is evidence of some level of contact between the Indus Valley Civilization and the Near East. Commercial, religious, and artistic connections have been recorded in Sumerian documents, where the Indus valley people are referred to as Meluhhaites and the Indus valley is called Meluhha.

The following account has been dated to about 2000 BCE: "The Meluhhaites, the men of the black land, bring to Naram-Sin of Agade all kind of exotic wares" (Haywood, p. 76, The Curse of Agade).

The Indus Civilization had a writing system which today still remains a mystery: all attempts to decipher it have failed. This is one of the reasons why the Indus Valley Civilization is one of the least known of the important early civilizations of antiquity.

Examples of this writing system have been found in pottery, amulets, carved stamp seals, and even in weights and copper tablets.

Another point of debate is the nature of the relationship between these cities. Whether they were independent city-states or part of a larger kingdom is not entirely clear.

Because the writing of the Indus people remains undeciphered and neither sculptures of rulers nor depictions of battles and military campaigns have been found, evidence pointing in either direction is not conclusive. More
