Devil's Pope in Rome? AI robot head

A mysterious ancient robot and the pope who made a deal with the Devil

His intellect was unmatched — pushing the boundaries of mathematics, astronomy, and mechanics in an age ruled by superstition.

Under Pope Sylvester’s guidance, Europe saw glimpses of the future — an early foreshadowing of the Renaissance (lit. "rebirth") to come.

But for his contemporaries, there was something unsettling about Pope Sylvester’s genius. In a world where the line between the divine and the diabolical was thin, rumors spread that his wisdom came not from God but from a more evil source.

For centuries, scholars, historians, and church officials have asked the same stunning question: Could the leader of the Catholic Church (the oldest corporation in the world) — the most powerful man in the Christian world — have been in league with Satan (the "Adversary")?

The Psychedelic Renaissance (video)

Welcome to the psychedelic renaissance

(ReasonTV) Summer 2023: Everywhere around us, there are signs of a psychedelic renaissance (rebirth): in therapy, Big Pharma medicine, commerce, and the arts.

Full text and links: reason.com/video/2023/08/16/t... These entheogenic substances are getting serious, positive coverage in glossy magazines, best-selling books, literary memoirs, documentaries, and hit podcasts.

Performers like Reggie Watts, Melissa Etheridge, and members of the Flaming Lips openly acknowledge the role of hallucinogens in their work. And a flourishing psychedelic comedy scene is springing out all over the place.

But federal prohibition of psychedelics—a term that literally means "mind manifesting" and refers to a broad category of consciousness- and perception-altering substances—is also changing.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is expected to approve therapy using psilocybin, the psychoactive ingredients in magic mushrooms, and MDMA, the drug also known as ecstasy and molly. And Oregon and Colorado have decriminalized the recreational use of plant-based psychedelics.

Word is that even the president—a famous teetotaler with an addict son and as a major force behind the half-century-long drug war—is "very open-minded" about medicinal use of psychedelics.

The most recent, pulsing Day-Glo sign that the psychedelic renaissance is here took place in Denver in late June at the Psychedelic Science 2023 Conference, organized and hosted by the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS).

Severe storm hits Midwest; sun warms SoCal

A powerful storm system is forecast to unleash heavy rain, large hail, strong winds, and thunderstorms capable of spinning up tornadoes this week across much of the south-central United States.

This area was battered just last week by deadly storms. The low-pressure system invigorated by moisture from the Gulf of Mexico began a slow, multi-day journey from Texas to the Great Lakes region on Eclipse Monday (4/8/24).

As it headed east, severe weather was expected to hit the Gulf Coast, the mid-Atlantic, and the Midwest regions, the National Weather Service said.

The threatening forecast led organizers of The Texas Eclipse Festival to end the celebration early Monday and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to activate emergency response resources.

More than 30 million Americans from eastern Texas to Mississippi were at risk of severe weather Tuesday, when heavy rain, wind, "large hail," and several tornadoes were expected to lash the region, the storm prediction center said.

The highest risk of flooding was in the Texas Panhandle Tuesday night and the mid-South on Wednesday, the weather service said. More: More

Meanwhile, SoCal had clear skies in the L.A. metropolitan area for viewing the partial eclipse.

The super bloom is overtaking LAX, the international airport blocks from the Santa Monica Bay. Along the landing and takeoff lanes, there are more colorful flowers than anyone has ever seen.

For the rest of the region, we have had too much of a good thing, rain. The extra precipitation is holding back the explosion of desert flowers in the usual areas. Meanwhile, the streets and fields of Los Angeles are full of "volunteer" golden poppies, the state flower. They are spread by birds or the wind or guerilla gardeners, particularly in Pasadena.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is ramping up for two consecutive weekends of partying in the desert east of Los Angeles County. And the greatest female singer alive, Lana Del Rey, is headlining. Meanwhile, Beyonce Carter keeps topping the country charts to the chagrin of white racists looking forward to the next Stagecoach Music Festival.

And the Renaissance Pleasure Faire has arrived in the San Gabriel Valley at the Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area in Irwindale, where the 134 and 605 Freeways cross.

The Renaissance Faire opened last weekend for its Southern California run. This lakeside area (Santa Fe Dam reservoir) is a wonderful place to spend a few hours, with a lot of great opportunities to people watch, says Robyn.

Thanks to an abundance of actors and stages, visitors really do feel like they have been transformed back to the Renaissance ["Rebirth"] time period. Small children really have fun, as there is a plethora of things for them to do amidst the adult debauchery. There are plenty of options for food and drink. But mainly it's just cosplay for busty adults in those special "cleavage platter" brassieres and the people who love them (RenFair.com).

Michelangelo's David's penis is showing

In the city that cherishes Michelangelo’s statue David as a naked icon and artistic masterpiece, concerns over its representation -- in vulgar, dick-centric, ass-flashing tourism tchotchke merchandise (see accompanying video linked below) -- spark debate in Florence, Italy.

The statue of David, completed in 1504, is more than a sculpture.

It embodies significant historical and religious contexts [like the fact that this proto-Western culture did not circumcise its male or female children as it does now, removing the most sensitive part of the human body, the foreskin and clitoris, which are far more sensitive than the fingertips or lips], which curators fear are being belittled through the commercialization of its image, notably as frivolous novelties highlighting its penis, butt crack and nudity.

Under the leadership of Cecilie Hollberg, director of the Galleria dell’Accademia, there has been a vigorous defense against what is perceived as the misuse of David’s imagery.

Since 2015, Hollberg has seen to the initiation of multiple legal disputes, employing Italy’s rigorous cultural heritage code to halt the unauthorized and profane exploitation of the artwork.

Hollberg’s actions have led to the successful procurement of significant financial restitution since 2017 and have prompted protective measures for other cultural works such as Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Vitruvian Man,” Donatello’s David, and Botticelli’s “Birth of Venus.”

Despite the formal protection ending typically 70 years post the artist’s death, as delineated in the Berne Convention, these Italian court cases challenge this norm and raise critical questions about the balance between cultural patrimony and freedom of expression.

French realms like the Louvre, by contrast, operate under a more open public domain policy due to the datedness of their collections.

Back in 2008 I started a conspiracy podcast called "Renaissance Radio," the final episode of which was titled "Solutions to the System," where I expounded on hundreds of small things we can do in our daily lives to help bring about positive change and ultimately end the ever-encroaching New World Order. Since it has gotten buried under a mountain of other content and most people have not heard it, I have updated the podcast with relevant videos and imagery to be shown in the following presentation: How to Save the World. (Pardon my use of the word "planet" as this was over a decade ago [because this world is a realm, base, or level, not what NASA misleads us into thinking]). Thank you.

This video is very simplistic when it comes to a history of the Moors (generally believed to be black European nobles) because I am not trying to be overly detailed or scholarly. I am a thinker, and all I want to do is question and help connect the dots rather than establish facts. Much love to ALL of humanity.
