Emmys, Trump assassination 2nd attempt

Why does CIA keep trying to JFK me? - They hate you like most Americans. - Oh. F'em then.

Boo, you big target! - Quit spooking me, you old SOB! I'm still on edge from my ear piercing.
.
Our telescreen is dead, RIP
Imagine caring so little about a politician like Trump or the one-party system that both wings (blue and red) continue to support so that no other option or party ever exists that the only response to another Trump assassination attempt is met with a *yawn.*

OMG, the Emmys are going on right now in Hollywood, celebrating our beloved stars, doling out awards and honors, red carpet gawking, paparazzi, and celebrities galore! Shogun, Reservation Dogs, Bear are big winners? We killed our TV, so who know what's what? Netflix, binging, paid service providers, bundled plans, who needs it?
In California, it cooled down and got cloudy as if water droplets were about to form magically in the sky and fall on the cars. The sudden chill forebodes a change of season, heralding the equinox, harvest festivals, Halloween, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) akin to Buddhist Obon, and all things fall.
Another Trump assassination attempt: What just happened?
(TLDR Daily) Sept. 16, 2024: Welcome to the TLDR News Daily Briefing. In today’s episode, we run through yet another assassination attempt on Trump. Also, the first Houthi missile hit central Israel; DRC coup plotters are sentenced to death; and Storm "Boris" sweeps across central Europe. 💬 Twitter: tldrnewsuk.

Valerie Bertinelli-Van Halen live, LA (4/15)

Look, Donny and Marie did it. So why can't we? - That's different! They were Mormons.

Look, Everyone! I'm a "cover girl" now!
Valerie Bertinelli-Van Halen isn’t one to hold her feelings close to the vest. The “One Day at a Time” TV star believes in the power of connection — connecting with fans to help her heal.

[After all, she lost her rockstar husband, the world-renowned guitarist Eddie Van Halen (shown above shredding on guitar), RIP, with whom she fathered and raised Wolfgang Van Halen].

Incest laws won't stop us (pagesix)
She is doing that through Indulge: Delicious and Decadent Dishes to Enjoy and Share, her cookbook. The New York Times bestselling author’s new book is a collection of 100 recipes to “nourish the body and the soul.”

She shares recipes for dishes like garlic confit LT, oven-“fried” okra, mangled animal guts in casing, and olive rotten dairy bites, spaghetti al limone, smelly patties with quick-pickled vegetables, cow limbs with bearnaise sauce, and chocolate peanut butter dates.

Twins? Inside Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli's '80s romance (pagesix.com)
It's probably safe to say Valerie taught Eddie everything he knew about everything except guitar.
.
Eddie? Eddie who? (No you didn't, Dave!)
“It’s mainly a cookbook, but an extension of Enough Already,” Bertinelli said of her 2023 book. “I wrote that after my mother and Ed (Eddie Van Halen) died. They passed away a year and a half apart. I was going through a lot of grief and going through a marriage that wasn’t working. I was going through a lot.”

She said she didn’t love anything with her life. She felt like she was “drowning and had forgotten how to swim.”

Then, being Italian, she returned to the kitchen little by little. “I started writing recipes, and I started to get excited,” she said. “I was talking about food the way I had never talked about before.”

She’ll talk about her latest feeble attempt at fame as a chef and her struggles on a book tour that stops at All Saints Church in Pasadena at 7:00 pm Monday, April 15, 2024.

The Vroman’s-sponsored event is ticketed (minimum $41 with book). “This is the biggest book tour I’ve ever done,” she said.

“I can’t wait to meet everybody. Since my last book, I’ve had a great rapport with a lot of people in my social media community. I have really terrific people who follow me on Instagram and Threads.” More

Travis 'n Taylor: 'Viva Las Vegas' (Dead Kennedys)

Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Wait, is The King paying me directly from Graceland or is Spotify Corporation? Whatever!

Jello has new music coming out
Jello Biafra
(fronting punk rock legends the Dead Kennedys) sings Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas" to show artist Trey K (rookie singer, professional footballer Travis Swift-Kelce) how it's done.

Trey, it's not a good idea to outshine Taylor "Nazi Barbie" Swift, stealing her limelight if she thinks she's the shinier one in this PR-relationship. But if that's the way you want to play it.

Why would the couple keep doing everything it can to attract even more eyes for any conspiracy the alphabet agencies may want to run through Team Traylor? Who knows. So go for it. But sing it right!

(Entertainment Tonight) Feb. 13th, 2024: TayTay and Trey K bring their PR "Love Story" [because she has probably banned him from covering DK's "Viva Las Vegas"] to the dance floor for the ubiquitous cameras and live microphones. ET has learned more about the couple's post-Super Bowl LVIII celebration at Wynn Las Vegas’ XS nightclub after the Kansas City Chiefs just barely beat the San Francisco 49ers. An eyewitness tells ET the two were spotted enjoying the night as they danced together in the DJ booth while singing along to Taylor's song "Love Story." Travis and Taylor ("Traylor" as in Trailer Park) were also seen 'exchanging affectionate gestures' throughout the evening, including sharing "celebratory kisses."

Best Friend died of addiction: creators react

TODAY, 11/1/23; CC Liu, Sheldon S. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

EXCLUSIVE: Friends creators speak out on [drug addict] Matthew "Chandler" Perry’s death: ‘Utter shock’
(TODAY) In a TODAY exclusive, Friends creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane speak out about the death of severely drug addicted actor Matthew "Chandler Bing" Perry to remember his life and legacy. Kauffman spoke to Perry two weeks before his death and says, “He was in a really good place, which is why this seems so unfair.” Crane saw him in the past and remembers him as being "so alive" but is now, strangely, somehow dead. #matthewperry #celebrity #friends
Spent 7 to 9 million dollars to get sober, but doctor-prescribed opioids brought him down
What? Drugs? (radaronline.com)
Breaking news is that what killed Matthew Perry was getting into a hot tub on Suboxone, a replacement for opioids. In an effort to ease his addiction -- which he had spent millions trying to sober up from -- he was on a pharmaceutical, some of the deadliest drugs available, so deadly they need a prescription. Worth an estimated $120,000,000 and out on a date with a model 29 years younger than him, he sinks into the jacuzzi and never comes up. What an awakening in the afterlife, hungry ghosts laughing and prodding him, or angelic voices and devas escorting him "home" to a heavenly abode or immediately finding himself in another womb, human or animal, it had to be illuminating to the Friends star.

Porn? 'Wednesday' costume for Halloween

FactsVerse, 2/20/22; Ananda (Dharma BM), Jen B., Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Lisa Loring from The Addams Family grew up
Tuesday is Halloween and you want to be me?
(Facts Verse) Wednesday was raised by a Buddhist TV dad (named Gomez played by John Astin) and a Jewish convert mom (Morticia, played by Carolyn Jones, who married four times, as Wednesday would later do, and who trained to be an actress in Pasadena), having lost her own father to divorce and her mother to drug abuse.

Fond memories of Wednesday Addams (Lisa Loring)? What other than The Addams Family and As The World Turns did she appear in? There were those adult movies she made. Comment.

She was America's sweetheart.
Born in the Marshall Islands on Feb. 16, 1958, Lisa Loring grew up in a military family. Both of her parents served in the US Navy but divorced not long after she was born.

Loring lived with her mother in Hawaii before they moved to Los Angeles. At age 3, Loring started modeling and appeared in a single episode of the medical series Dr. Kildare in 1964.

A year later, she was selected to play the "Wednesday Addams." After playing the character for two years, Loring joined the cast of an ABC sitcom entitled The Pruitts of Southhampton.

In 1974, tragedy struck. Her mother died of alcoholism at the age of 34.

After her childhood acting career, Loring managed to secure a role on the CBS soap opera As The World Turns. From 1980 to 1983, she played the character Cricket Montgomery.

She would later appear in the slasher flicks Blood Frenzy in 1987 and Iced in 1988.

I was behind the scenes, hubby up front
Other than acting, Loring also worked as a makeup artist in the adult film industry, which was not her only close connection to porn.

In the 90s, she also had a job with a Santa Montica-based interior design firm.

Since then, she has appeared in a couple of B-films but for the most part, she has retired from acting to instead focus on her family.

Born 1958, Lisa Loring died in 2023.
This video shows what Loring looks like these days and fills in as many gaps in her life story as possible: personal life, many marriages, children, pornstar husband, and frustrations with the entertainment industry.

It also reveals how Loring feels about her role as Wednesday Addams some six decades after the show that turned her into a star went off the air.

This is one facts-packed video not to be missed. Lisa Loring from The Addams Family grew up to be a stunning but tragic figure.

The wild sex life of Lisa Loring (Wednesday Addams) Family TV
(Cool Classics) Oct. 30, 2022: Cool Classics takes a deep dive into the life of beloved child actor Wednesday, who was played by Lisa Loring on Hollywood's 1964 TV series The Addams Family.

Her childhood was not traditional by any means. She was born to US Navy parents on a faraway island; divorce led to her mom moving them to Hawaii then to Los Angeles, where Loring landed her first TV role.

Her first television appearance was on Dr. Kildare and a few followed after The Addams Family, such as the Phyllis Diller Show and The Girl From UNCLE.

She had a troubled sex life with four husbands, daughters, and work in the adult entertainment industry (the para-Hollywood porn industry over the hill in a different city called North Hollywood).

Loring had some serious hardships along the way. Good thing she became a strong woman able to overcome them.

Meditate in woods or sports in the house?

Amber Larson and Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly
Pürblack Pure Mineral Shilajit Live Resin (CYMBIOTIKA)

Sit for insight.
Free your mind. Kill your TV.
It's Thursday, it's "football night." The whole living room will be filled with the stench of warm electronics, sweaty couches, bad food, and spilled brew. Would I be better off taking a hike? The woods behind the house would make a nice start. The trailhead up the hill could serve for a more strenuous exercise of my limbs. Eat the mountain (shilajit or "destroyer of weakness," pronounced \she-luh-jeet\), walk the forest. Fulvic acid (Asphaltum) oozes out of the Himalayas in the summer.

Hun, kill your TV. - You crazy? The game's on!
The yogi meditators there depended on it. It's fulvic acid, full of essential trace minerals and other odd nutrients one would not expect in rock. Of course, it's probably a biological byproduct of microbes breaking down organic matter in the ground until it oozes out.  (German scientists discovered this is how oil, not a fossil fuel, is replenished in the ground after a very long time, but Big Oil ignores that and claims we're at peak oil so we have to be charged higher prices).

We can swim in mineral water? Epsom salt hot springs
Minerals, unlike vitamins, do not go bad. They remain for millions of years. Dr. Joel Wallach (criticalhealthnews.com) thinks they are the key to youthfulness, health, and longevity. They can no longer be found in food, even with a diverse and balanced diet, because they are no longer in the ground. Industrial farming practices have depleted them. Synthetic fertilizers only put three back (the agrominerals NPK), but plants need all 70 or 80 to make their magic, like the subtle taste of real peaches and other fruits that have all gone bland over sugary.

Ayur-Veda is "Knowledge of Life"
It's amazing what nutrients we've lost by the way we eat after hunting and gathering in supermarkets. Once, during the time of the Buddha, there were monastics who could not make any progress toward enlightenment in their meditation compared to others. The came to see him and asked about it. He inquired into their diets and advised local supporters to provide them with the eight kinds of foods, in accordance with ancient proto-Indian (possibly Ayurvedic science) practices.

The eight might include types of food that are hard, soft, sweet, sour, bitter, astringent, and so on. In other words, it would be a balanced diet more likely to contain all the macro and micronutrients needed for health. Snap! Being provided with alms food like this, they were able to succeed in meditation and reach the goal for which children of good families leave the home-life for the left-home life. In no long time they were among the noble ones (Arya = persons along the Four Stages of Enlightenment).

Dad, can we change it to Golden Bachelor?
Fried potatoes. Acrylamide. Rotten gluten grains. Alcohol. Both are strong depressives. Stay in, watch the war game that is American football?
Hey, no h*m*, but nice butt, guy! - Huh?
Or get out and breathe fresh air, hear the crunch of leaves and twigs underfoot, see birds flit and soar, hear the gurgle of water, listen for frogs and insects, inhale the scent of flowers and mushrooms blooming out of season (due to the odd rain patterns in what used to be the dry time), run with the dog, find a seat at the root of a tree, mindfully breathe in, mindfully breathe out, settle the mind into the present moment (because breathing is only ever happening NOW, in the eternal now that always is if only I could remember (sati/smriti) to notice it?

What is the "destroyer of weakness"?
Wisdom Quarterly Wiki edit

It brings hair and vitality back, all vegan
What is Sanskrit shilajit, Jew's pitch (Bitumen of Judea), English asphalt, Russian mumijo, or German mumie? It is natural organic-mineral product of predominantly natural biological origin, formed in the mountains (in mountain crevices and caves).

It is a blackish-brown powder or exudate from high mountain rocks, often found in the Himalayas (in Central Asia, Badakhshan, Afghanistan [Scythian Shakya Land], Karakoram, Gilgit-Baltistan), Pakistan, Nepal, the Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan, Russia in the mountains of the Caucasus, Altai, Iran [Aryan Land], Mongolia and in the south of Peru, where it is called "Andean Shilajit."

Also known as μούμια (Greek), Mumiyo (Russian), Brag-shun or Barakhshin ("oil of the mountains" in South Siberian region of the Sayano-Altai Mountains, Khakassia, Buddhist Buryatia, Mongolia), "rock sap" or "rock juice" (in Tibet, Central Asia, Himalaya, Pamir, and Altai), Marathi or Gujarati (in Hindi), Asphalt (in English), Silajita, Silajatu (in Bengali), Hajarul-Musa or Araq-al-jibal (in Arabic), Myemu, Moomiaii or Mumnaei (in Persian), Mumie (in German), Mineral Pitch, Jew’s Pitch, Mineral Wax, Kao-tun ("blood of the mountain" in Burma), Tasmay and Slag (China), "Blessing of Nature" (Nepal).

The peoples of the East used shilajit/mumiyo in folk and non-traditional (alternative) medicine (Ayurveda, Chinese, Tibetan). It is sold both in pure form and as part of dietary supplements... More

Hating TV's Jennifer Aniston and "Friends"

Zack Sharf (Variety, 3/29/23); Crystal Q., Seth Auberon, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Friends is offensive comedy to snowflake kids
I'm not gay. Can I be on Fast Times at R High?
Jennifer Aniston
has been starring in comedies for nearly 30 years, from the launch of NBC’s Friends in 1994 to the upcoming release of her latest Netflix movie Murder Mystery 2 [which is getting horrible reviews as unfunny garbage], which means she’s had a front row seat to watching comedy tastes change over three decades.

Aniston recently told France's AFP (via Yahoo News) that “comedy has [d]evolved” so much that it’s a bit tricky these days to be funny.

Don't say I'm a man; that would make Ross gay!
“Now it’s a little tricky because you have to be very careful, which makes it really hard for comedians, because the beauty of comedy is that we make fun of ourselves, make fun of life,” Aniston said.

“[In the past] you could joke about a bigot and have a laugh: that was hysterical. And it was about educating people on how ridiculous people were. And now we’re not allowed to do that.”

“There’s a whole generation of people, kids, who are now going back to episodes of ‘Friends’ and find them offensive,” Aniston added.

“There were things that were never intentional and others…well, we should have thought it through — but I don’t think there was a sensitivity like there is now.” More: variety.com
