LA Protests are NOTHING like seen on TV

A manmade storm called being "TACO Trump" is unleashing mayhem on Los Angeles and USA.

I will not be interrupted by him or anyone else!
(Dave Holmes, Esquire, June 11) On Sunday afternoon, I drove to the Los Angeles [anti-] ICE protest down by [the intersection of] Temple and Alameda. It’s around 14 miles from my house and miraculously took only 35 minutes that day.

Maybe people were already down at the protest, or maybe they were at the L.A. Pride Parade, or maybe they were just at brunch, but even the chronic arterial blockage on the 101 [Freeway] at Silver Lake Boulevard was moving pretty nicely.

I pointed myself to the southeast side of where I knew the protests to be because I know a cheap parking lot down there. I situated myself right near the Geffen Wing of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), with the Barbara Kruger Untitled (Questions) mural on the exterior wall: Who is beyond the law? Who is bought and sold? Who is free to choose?

King Trump is Watching You
I went and chanted and was home safe and sound by 7:00 pm. And now the Marines are here.

As with the [Los Angeles] fires earlier this year, people from all corners and chapters of my life have been texting to check in ever since. Also like the fires, everything happening in Los Angeles right now is happening around the corner and a world away.

If you didn’t know, if you didn’t want to know, you could pretty easily keep not knowing. Los Angeles is crazy vast [4,000 square miles]. It feels more like a patchwork of [88] little cities than the great big city it is [and even bigger county].

That Sunset Fire was five miles away from where we live, from where we sat watching it on local news. We didn’t even smell it until long after it had been contained. Our go bags didn’t even move from the entryway to the car. We were protected by a freeway, by a distance that isn’t actually that far.

Jackbooted thugs will rule the world starting here
For Sunday, I had made a loose plan to meet up with a couple friends who were also heading downtown. They’d gone to City Hall, and up where they were, at that end of it, the LAPD were trying to move the crowd, to kettle [trap] them using flash-bangs and rubber bullets.

I was a seven-minute walk from where this was happening and wouldn’t have known if we hadn’t been texting and trying to find each other. I was at the L.A. Protests. They’re NOTHING like what you’re seeing on TV

Happy Epiphany, Jesus: Three Magi visit

Epiphany (/əˈpɪfəni/ ə-PIF-ə-nee), also known as "Theophany" in Eastern Christian tradition [5], is a Christian feast day commemorating the visit of the Magi (the Three Wise Men), the baptism of Jesus (Issa, Yeshua), and the wedding at Cana [6].
  • Unmistaken Child
The Buddhist connection is that Jesus the Nazarene was considered a tulku (important incarnation of a significant spiritual figure) by Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhists, who sent a party to confirm his rebirth and invite him to Tibet, where indeed Jesus later visited, stayed, and trained for 18 "lost" years to recognize and develop his spiritual gifts and embark on his mission as a prophet, teacher or, as Christians would have it, God incarnate (a Hindu Avatar). This sort of search party of mysterious "Magi" from the East is sent out whenever a Rinpoche, Panchen Lama, or Dalai Lama is expected in a certain region of the earth. See Unmistaken Child for general details.

I trained as a Buddhist in Hemis
In Western Christianity, the feast commemorates principally (but not solely) the visit of the Magi to the Christ Child, and thus Jesus Christ's physical manifestation to the Gentiles [7, 8].

It is sometimes called Three Kings' Day, and in some traditions celebrated as Little Christmas [9] (like the longtime Christian Armenians, who may be Christians because Noah's Ark is rests around Mount Ararat).

Moreover, the feast of the Epiphany, in some denominations, also initiates the liturgical season of Epiphanytide [10, 11].

Nic Notovitch discovered written Tibetan texts
Eastern Christians, on the other hand, commemorate the baptism of Jesus (also called Epiphany) in the Jordan River [which is a kind of Holy Ganges in Northern Africa used for ablutions], seen as his manifestation to the world as the Son of God [6] [or devaputra, lit. "son born among the devas"]. The spot marked by Al-Maghtas in Jordan, adjacent to Qasr al-Yahud in the West Bank, is considered to be the site of the baptism of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist [12, 13].

I leave you VP Elon Musk and Pres. JD Vance
The traditional date for the feast is January 6th (which is also the day every four years the U.S. Congress officially confirms a new president, except that time Trump called for an insurrection to take over the government, hang the VP, and rule like a dictator, according to video evidence compiled by a biased media).

However, since 1970 the celebration has been held in some countries on the Sunday after January 1. Those Eastern Churches that are still following the Julian calendar observe the feast on what, according to the internationally used Gregorian calendar, is 19 January [14], because of the current 13-day difference between the Julian and Gregorian calendars [15]. The Alawites and the Middle Eastern Christians also observe the feast on January 19 [2, 3, 4].

In many Western Churches, the eve of the feast is celebrated as Twelfth Night (Epiphany Eve) on January 5.[16][17] The Monday after Epiphany is known as Plough Monday [18]. Epiphany (holiday)

Mysteries from Darkside of TikTok

Mysterious videos from the Darkside of TikTok
(MODTRICCA) Nov. 4, 2024: Let's look at a creepy TikTok compilation that one should never watch alone. These mysterious TikToks and scary YouTube shorts have become some of the most viral videos on social media, causing many to question reality. This unsettling montage features some mind-blowing celebrity conspiracies, unexplained UFO encounters, and more proof that the Mandela effect is a real phenomenon. If that’s not enough, there is also some terrifying paranormal activity caught on camera and strange animal hybrid creatures that completely defy logic. There’s even more evidence that The Simpsons uses "predictive programming."

Everything ZEN? "Optimistic nihilism" - Nothing matters, but it's OK

Do what you did to Bart to me, Lisa. I want to be Big Fat Buddha. - His name is Budai, Dad, and he's NOT the Buddha. He is a jolly bodhisattva with a big candy sack . - Ooh, Santa Budai!
Maha Kassapa smiles at a flower.
Is optimistic nihilism a healthy way of life? In the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the original BBC Radio series before the books, there's a very funny scene in an exchange between the human, Arthur Dent, and a stranger on the planet of Magrathea, a mythical planet that builds planets and therefore couldn't possibly exist. But here it is.
The stolen ship, The Heart of Gold, which is powered by the new infinite improbability drive, has found it. (Zaphod Beeblebrox, the president of the galaxy, stole it when he was meant to be launching it so he could carry out this secret plan, which first includes getting here to Magrathea).

The crew has entered and left poor Arthur on the surface, where he runs into the Magrathean Slartibartfast, who builds planets and who made the fjords of Earth. He is now working on Earth Mark II.

"Don't panic" (Douglas Adams)
Arthur Dent can't believe his ears, a reference to Earth so far out in space? Earth really is significant and special! But now it's all gone, destroyed by the Vogons.

Arthur, reflecting in this way, asks Slartibartfast a philosophical question about the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. Slartibartfast gives a very strange answer.

The question runs something like, "What's the meaning of it all?"

Zen Master Bart* or Lisa Simpson? (Matt Groening)
Slartibartfast replies, "I say, 'Hang the sense of it'! I far rather be
happy than right any day."

"And are you?" Arthur interjects with awe.

"No," Slartibartfast laments, "that's where it all falls down of course."

It's a nice philosophy but he -- and one suspects most of us -- can't live up to it. We'd far rather be happy than right, but we are neither happy nor right.

(It sort of gives a boost to those of us who'd far rather be right than happy, though, sadly, we're not right either most of the time, and as for happy? Fuhgeddaboudit.)

So what's the chance any of us are going to pull off this optimistic nihilism?

Optimistic? Okay, if we can manage it or set it as our default option and not worry. Nihilism? Easy, for some of us, all bleak, depressive, laughing at Woody Allen quips at the absurdity of things. WATCH

How to be happy and get saved?
Cosmic Amitabha [God] Buddha
*Does anyone remember that episode of The Simpsons when a psychologist decides that Bart is the healthiest person in Springfield? The doctor finds Bart the most "Zen." He's spontaneous, unpremeditated, artless, authentic, speaks his mind. He's so healthy everyone decides to be like him, and Bart hates it. Suddenly his uniqueness is taken away.

These attributes really are aspirations of Zen Buddhism, according to Alan Watts. The reason for it seems rooted in Taoism more than in what the historical Buddha taught. But it all comes down to a great division that occurred in Mahayana Buddhism, the great Tariki versus Jiriki Debate, whether salvation (enlightenment, awakening, spiritual liberation, emancipation, moksha, freedom, nirvana) is to be attained by our power (efforts) or other power (the efforts of something extrinsic), by our force or an outside force).

What patriarchal Mahayana Buddhism needs is a Goddess of Compassion, a Mary: Guanyin
.
The historical Buddha Gautama (Gandhara)
The historical Buddha taught a path of our own efforts, but many later Mahayana Buddhists deviated back to the world-popular path of blind faith, intense devotion, petitioning a higher power to do it for us.

This is never what the Buddha taught, but it makes more philosophical sense: Since we can't by our own power, we need to engage a Higher Power (like Amitabha Buddha, Mother Mary/Bodhisattva of Compassion Kwan Yin, other Cosmic Buddhas, God, or who knows) and hitch our train to that.

Hey, and this tulku bodhisattva?
In Mahayana, everyone will be saved eventually because a great Bodhisattva is going to see to it before attaining buddhahood and his own emancipation.

That's the thinking, Alan Watts explains, and that's why Pure Land Buddhism (Nichiren Shōshū) from Japan and China, Imperial Holy Roman Catholicism, Christianity (Jesus freaks), Islam, some New Age teachings...are all so popular. Will it be us doing or other doing?

Christianity as afterthought
Super Friends: Buddha, Krishna, Mo, Yeshua, Aquaman, Moses, Laozi, Joe Smith (South Park)

Misquoting Jesus (Bart Ehrman)
It's funny that those who are adamant that some other power must save us still have a lot for us to do, as if we were saving ourselves.

Christians hypocritically say ONLY Jesus saves -- but to be saved, WE have to ask, repent, plead for the Holy Spirit to take possession of us and live our lives for us as the driver, be born again, get on God the Father's good side, pray and petition for His "grace," which is a "gift" that can only be given and never earned -- as if all the behaving and other stuff weren't work and earning it.

Savior? Now younger, nicer, whiter, easier!
Jeesh, what kind of scam? Most will do all that work and still not get it because their efforts weren't good enough. "Works without faith are dead" or something? "Not by thine own works art thou saved"?

Works (intentional karma, deeds) mean nothing? Clearly, they mean something. But Imperial Christianity (Protestant movements and the worldwide Catholic Church) wants to keep everyone in bondage and call that being "saved."

Compassionate Kwan Yin Bodhisattva
When you're up in heaven singing in a heavenly choir praising the Almighty God of the Universe, the great Creator, the doer, maker, thinker, and power of everything for an eternity, then you'll be happy?

No thanks. who wouldn't rather be a Buddhist, Independent, or New Ager to understand and make our own way to freedom and the end of all suffering (nirvana), to enlightenment in this very life and the deathless (amata)?

Drug abuse invented in USA (Family Guy)

In this episode of The American Show, Homes sparks up a medical marijuana cigar in his bathroom.

What did the CIA do to us?
There's drug use and drug abuse. Native Americans were using plants and ordeals (such as the Vision Quest) to alter consciousness for millennia before invasion-migration Europeans decided to drop in for a long visit. Rather than follow custom and do things in a ceremonial fashion with the blessing of the community, rugged individualists decided to throw caution to the wind with predictable results. In the Amazon there was Ayahuasca, but there was no "drug abuse" until someone brought in distilled liquor, or "spiritous drinks" and rotgut, bottled brews for senseless consumption. Real plant helpers from the garden pharmacy heal addiction and other maladies. Drugs of abuse do not. There's medicine, and there are things to abuse called "medicines."

CIA: We rule this culture since Nazis arrived
Who, to alter consciousness, would dream of huffing (inhaling) industrial chemicals? Who for sweetness would swallow the toxic brain chemical aspartame? Why eat white sugar, robbed of all its minerals and nutrients, when brown (whole) is available? Welcome to America, where any agent will do, even Nazi-invented methamphetamine that hijacks the dopamine and limbic system and creates energetic zombies...what could go wrong. The hippies were much more selective and interested in natural highs and health, but mass culture was just looking for cheap thrills, easy slogans, and mass marketed fashions to look the part. Drugs, sex, and rock 'n roll replaced peace, love, and happiness. Now who, in this day and age, thinks the best experience is to be found in the bathroom medicine cabinet? Chase a dragon and it will turn and bite. Hegemony means we spread our habits to the world as the current imperial power. If we can't handle our drug use, how are other places to survive sipping the neural soup? Of course, there was that time the British got China addicted on poppy (opium).

(South Park) Drugs are bad, mkay. Mr. Mackay explains.

Happy 4/20. Family Guy on drugs, the [pen]ultimate compilation!

Wear fashion for Satan (video)

Kids? We never even thought of kids.
(DailyWire+) I fell down the Balenciaga rabbit hole. Here’s what I found by Feb. 6, 2023, due to the #Grammys' #SamSmith #scandal. Gay Satanist Sam Smith and transsexual Kim Petras' "Unholy" Grammys performance brought Balenciaga, the fashion brand tied to Satanism and child molestation, back into the news. Balenciaga was recently involved in a scandal sexualizing kids in their fashion ads. DW+ wanted to understand what was going on and why. So it was looked into, and this is what was found.

Do European-Christians really worship the Satan (or Lucifer) of their childhood religion for fame and riches, selling their "souls" (future) to advance their worldly lives in this lifetime?
