The Gospel of Philip Explained (and why Rabbi Jesus kisses [his wife] Mary Magdalene)
(ReligionForBreakfast) Dec. 5, 2025: Was [Rabbi] Jesus secretly kissing Mary Magdalene [and married to her, too, as most Jews would agree]? This video dives into the Gospel of Philip, its infamous “kiss” passage, Valentinian theology, and how baptism, anointing [khristos], and the “bridal chamber” were meant to turn Christians into [awakened] Christs ["Anointed Ones," not blind followers groveling for salvation].

Festivus (/ˈfɛstɪvəs/) is a secular holiday celebrated annually in America on December 23 as an alternative to the perceived familial pressures and rampant commercialism and phoniness of the Christmas (Xmas) season.
Originally created by author Daniel O'Keefe, Festivus entered popular culture after it was made the focus of the 1997 Seinfeld episode called "The Strike" [1, 2].
Festivus pole (complete)
In it, George's disgruntled Jewish dad, Frank Costanza (played by Jerry Stiller), makes the whole country laugh with recognition by actually doing something to oppose Christian-Pagan Xmas mass consumerism. O'Keefe's son, Dan O'Keefe, co-wrote the immortal episode.
The anti-commercial holiday's celebration, as depicted on Seinfeld, occurs on December 23rd and includes a
Festivus dinner,
an unadorned aluminum "Festivus pole,"
practices such as the "airing of grievances" and "feats of strength," and
the labeling of easily explainable events as "Festivus miracles" [3].
Don't call me Jewish! I'm a Festivite now.
The episode even has a tagline for all anti-Xmas folks who want to join the cultural revolution against humbug, Christmas fakery (and Chanukkah/Hanukkah mimicry of what the Goyim/Gentiles are up to), and commercial profiteering: "Festivus for the rest of us!"
It has been described both as a parody holiday festival and as a form of playful consumer resistance.[4] Journalist Allen Salkin describes it as "the perfect secular theme for an all-inclusive December gathering" [1]. More
Zionism is a criminal project and is not Judaism. Neturei Karta (NK USA) is the voice of masses of Orthodox Jews who follow TRADITIONAL Judaism in its opposition to the political (often secular) philosophy of "Zionism," the existence of the State of Israel, opposes the Zionist occupation of Palestine and condemns Israel's atrocities committed to and by many of its people. There are many Jews who oppose Zionism and Israel.
How Larry Charles went from selling jokes on the street to writing for Seinfeld
Larry David and Larry Charles
(Fresh Air, WHYY, June 17, 2025) In his new memoir, Comedy Samurai, Larry Charles reflects on his career in comedy — from writing for Seinfeld to directing Sacha Baron Cohen's films Borat and Brüno — and a recent near-death experience.
This is FRESH AIR. I'm Terry Gross. My guest, Larry Charles, has been an integral part of TV shows and films that both reflected and made an impact on American popular culture.
He was a writer on Seinfeld, showrunner on Mad About You, a writer and executive producer on HBO's Entourage and a director and executive producer on Curb Your Enthusiasm. He directed Sacha Baron Cohen's films Borat and Bruno. He also collaborated with Bob Dylan on the film Masked and Anonymous.
Expert interviewer Terry Gross (NPR)
From Peabody, Golden Globe, and Emmy Award-winning writer and director Larry Charles comes a rollicking journey through modern American comedy. He shares behind-the-scenes stories from his life's work. To tell his life story is to tell the story of modern American comedy. Over the last 40 years, few comedians have been a part of so many iconic, beloved projects. He was one of the original writers and producers on Seinfeld, directed over 20 episodes each of Curb Your Enthusiasm...
Larry David developed "Cosmo Kramer"
Larry Charles has a new memoir called Comedy Samurai: Forty Years of Blood, Guts, and Laughter. When he says blood and guts, he means it. He and Sacha Baron Cohen took enormous risks with their films, in which Baron Cohen took his characters Borat and Bruno into the real world and shot scenes with people who thought Borat and Bruno were real people.
To expose antisemitism, racism, and homophobia, Baron Cohen's fictional characters pushed his targets to reveal their darker feelings and beliefs, and it sometimes ended in near violence, with Baron Cohen, Larry Charles and the crew fleeing.

Larry Charles also did a documentary series called Larry Charles' Dangerous World of Comedy, where he went to dangerous places run by authoritarian rulers or were controlled by militias to see what comedy was like there. Larry Charles, welcome back to FRESH AIR.

LARRY CHARLES: Thank you. It's great to be here again. Thank you so much.
HOST TERRY GROSS: So the book starts with you having a heart attack and thinking...
CHARLES: *Laughter*
GROSS: This might be the end. Did facing the prospect of death make you rethink parts of your life and lead you to think you should rewrite parts of the book?
Woody Allen as Death
CHARLES: Well, I think it gave me a little more perspective on my own mortality. I have been obsessed with death since I'm a kid. But the reality of death and the obsession with death are two very different things.
And so I think I wanted to go back and be a little more honest and take a little bit more responsibility for my behavior. And I did add that layer to the book after all this happened.
GROSS: Yeah, because there's part of the book where you write you realized you were the agent of your own misfortune.
CHARLES: Very much so, yes.
GROSS: And that happened after...
CHARLES: And I had some bad agents, believe me. But I was...
The human species has had a close relationship with cannabis (marijuana, flower, weed, pot, ganja) for thousands of years. In fact, it is among the earliest plants humans cultivated.
Yet, it has also had a turbulent and controversial history due to the psychoactive properties of some varieties. Other varieties, such as hemp, are low in THC, yet proved to be the perfect crop for textiles and industrial applications.
So many varieties arose over time that the line was blurred between wild and cultivated strains.
However, a research team recently uncovered new insights into how Cannabis sativa first arose and how it eventually split into the different varieties known today. These novel insights into the ancient origins of cannabis have provided a new perspective on the evolution of this incredibly versatile plant.
The Untold Story of Cannabis Cowboys | Smoking Cannabis the Wild West Way
The Natives said it's moxibustion medicine.
(Legacy Capsule) May 1, 2025: UNITED STATES. Explore the rugged landscapes of the Wild West, a time when cowboys roamed freely, outlaws held sway, and an unexpected secret flourished: cannabis (aka marijuana). From Mexican laborers to defiant frontiersmen, this plant transcended its medicinal use to become a vital aspect of life. But how did it influence the Old West, and why has it been overlooked [by American historians]? Let's delve into the concealed history of cannabis cowboys and the role of marijuana in the Wild West.
Let's finish here then go get high as a mother...
In the 16th century, cannabis made its way to the Western hemisphere, introduced by Spaniards, who brought it to Chile, South America, primarily for [hemp] fiber production. In North America, the Spanish also cultivated cannabis, focusing on hemp across various farms [hempsteads]. During the early [British] colonial era, hemp emerged as a vital crop for farmers. Alongside tobacco, it became a significant export long before the American Revolution began. This journey started in 1611 when the first settlers of Jamestown, Virginia, transported several [cannabis] plants across the Atlantic. By 1619, King James I urged the American colonists in Jamestown to enhance their cultivation efforts to benefit England. The Virginia Company, which managed Jamestown, instructed landowners to grow and send 100 hemp plants to meet England's demands. Over time, colonists expanded their hemp farming to strengthen England's foothold in the Americas.
How researchers figured out the ancient origins of cannabis
Drug abuse gives drug use a bad name -- making addicts out of users in search of dopamine.
.
Wait, this "weed" was a long-trusted medicine?
For the study, the researchers analyzed 110 different cannabis genomes from around the world. Using state-of-the-art DNA sequencing technology, they were able to gain a better understanding of how Cannabis sativa diversified over time.
Through an analysis of the DNA sequences, the researchers were able to develop phylogenetic family trees that define the connections among various cannabis lineages. These maps reveal that there was a gradual evolution into four cannabis groups that are genetically distinct from one another.
The most interesting aspect of this study was the identification of "basal cannabis," a foundational group that had up to that point eluded detection among research groups.
Hash oil dabbing: Highly potent, dangerous to deal, and extremely explosive (because of the butane in its production), Gregg Easteal explains how "shatter" poses a triple-threat as a deadly new breed of weed and a haunting form of merry-Juana.
Basal cannabis is regarded as a sister group to other varieties and is genetically distinct from psychoactive and hemp cannabis types. The basal cannabis group includes traditionally-bred local landrace varieties still currently found in parts of China, in addition to feral strains.
Dr. James Adams, USC, Chumash medicine man
As reported earlier by Wisdom Quarterly (Medicinal Plants Workshop with Dr. Adams), USC's Dr. James Adams' realized that the old slang name for cannabis, Spanish Marijuana or "Mary Jane" (Maria Juana), is not of Mexican origin as assumed by many and promoted by police and governmental agencies like the FBI (think government propaganda film Reefer Madness); the original name is Chinese in origin, ma huang.
We've all been lied to about "marijuana." We've been told it's a Spanish word used by Mexicans in North America (Mexico itself being in North America or Mesoamerica, not Central or South America) that means "Mary Jane." That's a lie, a purposeful piece of propaganda by the US government. Dr. Adams is a fluent daily speaker of Chinese who has been married to a Chinese woman for 42 years. He is able to demonstrate that "marijuana" is a Chinese term for cannabis: Má is "hemp," there's a middle part for "leaf" (ri or li), and hua or huáng means "flower." The Chinese were using cannabis for 12,000 years (as had neighboring India) or had historical records extending back that far for its medicinal and industrial use. Similarly, jasmine flower in Chinese is mo li hua. [Further proof: The medicinal plant stimulant, vital for nasal conditions, ephedra has a Chinese name (máhuáng), which literally translates as "hemp yellow." Case closed.]
Plant nootropics are better than synthetic pharma
Map of East Asia next to Central Asia
The researchers believe that basal cannabis resembles wild varieties that grew before human agricultural intervention more than any other variety.
In fact, the two share genetic markers that are not observed in contemporary cultivated strains.
Based on their findings, the researchers suggest that East Asia was the place where cannabis was first cultivated.
This new finding overturns previously held assumptions that the plant was first cultivated inCentral Asia [where the Buddha was born in ancient Gandhara/Afghanistan].
Cannabis sativa versus Cannabis indica: the greatest lie ever told?
I could have lived? Nature has cures?
They further determined that the split between basal cannabis and cultivated varieties likely happened almost 12,000 years ago.
To put that time frame into perspective, this period coincides with the beginning of agricultural practice itself, during the dawn of the Neolithic period.
Furthermore, it was around 4,000 years ago that hemp and psychoactive varieties split from a common branch on the tree.
I don't give a gosh darn whom you date or marry, but get a job to pay for it. Work, Son, commit.
.
I'll marry your son IF you buy us a house, Mom.
DEAR ABBY: I am blessed with two sons who live with me. They are in their mid-20s.
The younger one is an amazing young man. He’s strong, confident but not cocky, and happy. He’s in college, works part-time, and plays in a band, among other things.
My older son is the opposite. Since he was 16, he’s had countless jobs and is (again) currently unemployed. He has been fired from every single job except one.
He always has some excuse to blame others for his failings. He thinks he’s smarter than the rest of us, thinks he knows better, etc.
I’ve tried to tell and show him the issue is with HIM, not his previous employers. He refuses to accept responsibility for anything wrong in his life.
I love him, but he is driving me crazy. I want to help him but, honestly, I’m over it. I’ve reached the point where it’s difficult to be civil to him.
The last time he was out of work lasted three months. When I gave him a “drop dead” date to find a job or I was kicking him out of the house, miraculously, he found one in the nick of time.
But won't marriage solve all our problems, Kramer? - Seinfeld and Kramer grow old alone
I'm a Buddist, MOM! - I wish! You're full of it - If you don't get off my back, I'm gonna base jump
We are back at that point again. I hate to do it, but I need him to either straighten up or get out.
No matter what I do, I’m the bad guy — for enabling him or for forcing him out. I would love some advice.
— FED-UP MOM IN FLORIDA
DEAR THE BOTH OF YA: C'mon, Mom, I have lots on my plate! Pot, porn, pervy dating adventures, my cellphone, chasing chicks, gambling and boozing with my buddies, craft beer sampling, hanging out, smoking the herbage, my retainers, school, um, lots of stuff. And shut the front door, Abby! Who's even writing your column for you?! Get off my back.
DEAR MOM: Your son is no longer a child. He needs to learn to stand on his own two feet. Give him another deadline to find a job or be out from under your roof.
While he is employed, tell him you expect him to save enough money for a security deposit on a place to live.
Do not expect him to like it or be grateful to you for having subsidized him as long as you have. The biggest favor you can give him now is a chance to grow up....

Long ago, so long ago that almost no one can remember, Justin Timberlake was involved in a planned wardrobe "malfunction" with Janet Jackson, Michael's sister. People say it was totally staged, and she got in big trouble -- shamed and cancelled. Nothing happened to him. His reputation grew if anything. But things have a funny way of coming back to us and biting us in the shorts. Now they have taken a big bite out of Timberlake's alcohol-abusing shorts. He has no... "What do you mean he has no...? He's bringing sexy back! What's that tiny bulge?" That? That's just bunched up shorts. "Oh. Wow. Have you taken into consideration 'shrinkage'?" He wasn't swimming; he was flying.

Oh, my boob, Justin, it's showing on national TV. - Whoa, I am so surprised that I did that!
.
I should never have drunk that drink.
Former NSYNC ("in sink") bandmate Justin Timberlake experienced a noticeably awkward wardrobe malfunction while performing on stage last week.
During the Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena stop of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake attempted to situate himself in a harness while performing “Mirrors.”
Unfortunately for the singer, the strap around his lower body was too tight, causing his groin area to hit the spotlight.
The entire ordeal was captured on video and quickly posted on TikTok. The comments section was quickly filled with compliments and criticism.
“The way my jaw dropped,” one TikTok user wrote.
“Honey, NO ONE TOLD HIM during rehearsals? Oof.”
“A confirmation I didn’t need,” another TikToker commented. “But a confirmation nonetheless.”
“I think you saw Justin’s Timber,” a TikToker told the video’s creator, who replied with a cry-laughing emoji.
“Just because you seen it doesn’t mean that we have to,” a fellow TikTok user added.
Other TikTok users pointed out that the harness wasn’t needed for the show.
“Justin Timberlake has no business flying in the air during his concerts,” a TikToker criticized.
Other TikTokers referenced Chris Brown, who was stuck in the air mid-concert due to a harness issue.
Justin Timberlake deals with personal life issues amid his Forget Tomorrow World Tour
I'm bringing sexy back, Everybody!
The wardrobe malfunction at Bridgestone Arena occurred just months after Justin Timberlake had dealt with personal life struggles.
The “Can’t Stop the Feeling” hitmaker’s problems began last summer when he was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York.
In September, Timberlake pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of driving while ability impaired and received 25 hours of community service, a $500 fine, and a 90-day driver’s license suspension [and a talking to by his beautiful celebrity wife, Jessica Biel, about wanting a divorce].
He must also make a public safety announcement, urging drivers not to get behind the wheel after drinking.
However, the issues didn’t stop after the sentencing. Rumors began circulating that things between Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, weren’t going well.
A source close to the couple told People that they have moved on from the arrest and are “relieved that it’s in the past.”
“They are both committed to staying married,” the insider shared.
“Jess [Biel] thinks he’s a wonderful dad [and doesn't care about his penile issues one bit, not one bit]....” More
