Man who tried to shoot Trump: Ryan Routh
![]() |

The would-be golf assassin

| My ginger assassin is so damn ugly. |
Mr. Routh's motives are currently under investigation as he represents himself in court, acting as his own amateur defense attorney with a fool for a client.

| Ryan Routh: self-hating ginger? |
He was pointing a weapon through the fence line of the golf course, 300–500 yards (250–450 meters) from Trump, who was moving between holes five and six alongside real estate investor Steve Witkoff.
Why couldn't someone take him out, Kamala?!
Routh fled the scene but was later arrested as the prime suspect [7][8]. An update given by the FBI on Sept. 16 mentioned that Routh had not fired his weapon [7][9][10] (but he could have). More

Luigi Mangione not to be charged
Man accused of killing healthcare CEO will NOT face state terrorism-related murder charges, but other charges will stand
![]() |
| People's hero or future model? |
Handsome accused killer Luigi Mangione scored a major legal victory today (Tuesday, 9/16/25) as a judge dismissed the two top state charges against him, first-degree murder and second-degree murder, both of which prosecutors had argued were "terrorism" crimes.
Mangione still faces an additional second-degree murder charge, as well as a federal murder charge, in the killing [execution, assassination] of United HealthCare executive Brian Thompson last December.

“Counts one and two, charging [the] defendant with murder in the first degree (in furtherance of an act of terrorism) and murder in the second degree as a crime of terrorism, are dismissed as legally insufficient,” Judge Carro wrote. “The people presented legally sufficient evidence of all other counts, including murder in the second degree (intentional).” More

Race may play a role in these murder cases, because today the Menendez Brothers, stars of a documentary that almost got them released from prison, lost their bid to retry the case. Now their only hope for release is California Gov. Newsom. (What's in it for him since he intends to run for president and doesn't want to be accused of being "soft on crime"?) And in three years, they can go back to the prison board to petition for release.

'Hump vs. Harvard: son Barron rejected
If it can generally be agreed that Mr. Trump is an @$$clown, might the same be said of allegedly bright Barron? True, he might be related to father Donald (or possibly one of Melania's secret suitors), but is a child doomed to become like the father figure who raises him? Does Ivanka mentor the boy, does Melania so shield him as her pride and joy that no other family gets the chance to ruin him, or is the boy adrift in a sea of DNA that dooms him to become like Fred Trump's son?

Convicted Trump gets sentenced
In the days of action cartoons, the hero always got caught up by the evil villains in such a way that there was no escape this time. But he always escaped. How, that was the question. We never saw that coming, the how. That he would escape, that was assured. How, that we never knew. Often the writers had to cheat physics or go back a little further to show the great escape. Judge Juan Merchan should throw the book at felon Trump, but he has promised no punishment, just ignominy, a little humiliation, a legacy of disgrace, sexual abuse, felonies all over the place, and Trump an unindicted co-conspirator in what his associates were up to on his behalf.

Former NSYNC ("in sink") bandmate Justin Timberlake experienced a noticeably awkward wardrobe malfunction while performing on stage last week.
During the Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena stop of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Timberlake attempted to situate himself in a harness while performing “Mirrors.”
Unfortunately for the singer, the strap around his lower body was too tight, causing his groin area to hit the spotlight.
The entire ordeal was captured on video and quickly posted on TikTok. The comments section was quickly filled with compliments and criticism.
- “The way my jaw dropped,” one TikTok user wrote.
- “Honey, NO ONE TOLD HIM during rehearsals? Oof.”
- “A confirmation I didn’t need,” another TikToker commented. “But a confirmation nonetheless.”
- “I think you saw Justin’s Timber,” a TikToker told the video’s creator, who replied with a cry-laughing emoji.
- “Just because you seen it doesn’t mean that we have to,” a fellow TikTok user added.
- Other TikTok users pointed out that the harness wasn’t needed for the show.
- “Justin Timberlake has no business flying in the air during his concerts,” a TikToker criticized.
- Other TikTokers referenced Chris Brown, who was stuck in the air mid-concert due to a harness issue.
Justin Timberlake deals with personal life issues amid his Forget Tomorrow World Tour

| I'm bringing sexy back, Everybody! |
The wardrobe malfunction at Bridgestone Arena occurred just months after Justin Timberlake had dealt with personal life struggles.
The “Can’t Stop the Feeling” hitmaker’s problems began last summer when he was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in Sag Harbor, New York.
In September, Timberlake pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of driving while ability impaired and received 25 hours of community service, a $500 fine, and a 90-day driver’s license suspension [and a talking to by his beautiful celebrity wife, Jessica Biel, about wanting a divorce].
He must also make a public safety announcement, urging drivers not to get behind the wheel after drinking.
However, the issues didn’t stop after the sentencing. Rumors began circulating that things between Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, weren’t going well.
A source close to the couple told People that they have moved on from the arrest and are “relieved that it’s in the past.”
“They are both committed to staying married,” the insider shared.
“Jess [Biel] thinks he’s a wonderful dad [and doesn't care about his penile issues one bit, not one bit]....” More

The Onion's goal in acquiring the site was "to end Infowars' relentless barrage of disinformation [and/or misinformation] for the sake of selling supplements and replace it with The Onion's relentless barrage of humor for good," the company said in a press release.
Financial details of the bid were not disclosed. The publication plans to launch the new platform in January 2025.
"The Onion has a long history of helping the American public navigate some of the most difficult moments in American life, from our historic issue after 9/11 to our groundbreaking reportage after every American mass shooting. In that tradition, we hope the Sandy Hook families will be able to marvel at the cosmic joke we will soon make of InfoWars.com," said The Onion's CEO Ben Collins.

Liberals, Jon Stewart, and Bernie (JDS)
Jon Stewart on what went wrong for Democrats | The Daily Show
Analysis by Jimmy Dore & Co.
Listen, Liberal: Or, What Ever Happened to the Party of the People?
Author Thomas Frank has 4.5 out of 5 stars with 1,814 ratings. From the bestselling author of What's the Matter with Kansas, a scathing look at the standard-bearers of liberal politics, here's a book that asks:- What's the matter with Democrats?
But this is to fundamentally misunderstand the modern Democratic Party.
Drawing on years of research and firsthand reporting, Frank points out that the Democrats have done little to advance traditional liberal goals:
- expanding opportunity,
- fighting for social justice, and
- ensuring that workers get a fair deal.
![]() |
| Justice now! For big killer cats |
Indeed, they have scarcely dented the free-market consensus at all. This is not for lack of opportunity: Democrats have occupied the White House for 16 of the last 24 years, yet the decline of the middle class has only accelerated.
Wall Street gets bailed out, wages keep falling, and the free trade deals keep coming.
With his trademark sardonic wit and lacerating logic, Frank lays bare the essence of the Democratic Party's philosophy and how it has changed over the years.
A form of corporate and cultural elitism has largely eclipsed the party's old working-class commitment, he finds. For certain favored groups, this has meant prosperity.
But for the nation as a whole, it is a one-way ticket into the abyss of inequality. In this critical election year, Frank recalls the Democrats to their historic goals -- the only way to reverse the ever-deepening rift between the rich and the poor in America. More (Audiobook)

Trump finally to go to jail? Judge rules
The judge overseeing DJ Trump's New York criminal trial delayed a key ruling today (Tuesday, 11/12/24) on whether the president-elect's felony conviction should be set aside, according to correspondence between the political parties.
Trump’s team wants the case dismissed completely, and the prosecution says it needs time to evaluate the next steps now that Trump has been re-elected.
The court has granted them a week's delay to provide their position.
In a letter to Judge Juan Merchan [who doesn't want to lose his pension or job], prosecutors said they agreed with Trump's request for a stay to consider how to proceed given his new status as president-elect.
"The People agree that these are unprecedented circumstances and that the arguments raised by defense counsel in correspondence to the People on Friday require careful consideration to ensure that any further steps in this proceeding appropriately balance the competing interests of (1) a jury verdict of guilt following trial that has the presumption of regularity; and (2) the Office of the President," prosecutor Matthew Colangelo wrote in a letter to the judge.

“Accordingly, the People respectfully request that the Court adjourn the upcoming scheduled dates to afford the People time to assess these recent developments, and set November 19. 2024 as a deadline for the People to advise the Court regarding our view of appropriate steps," he added.
Trump had been tentatively scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 26. Trump was convicted in May on 34 felony counts related to hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. He has denied any wrongdoing.
