But The Catholic League has bigger rats to fry -- like the blanks down at Disney Corporation promoting a "homosexual" agenda, getting all "woke" and pro-LGBT, corrupting children when the company used to be so wholesome, selling North Americans and the world a vision of nice and safe and mostly harmless, like when it corrupted the minds of millions of little girls by making them yearn to be princesses (with no regard for what others would have to be to serve their hierarchical role as monarchs) waiting for knights on white ponies or dashing princes looking for damsels in distress to "save."

Can I be "queer" without being gay?
Editors, Wisdom Quarterly
Does "queer" even mean "gay"? It seems to be a catchall, define-it-yourself, I just don't want to feel left out, you can't pin me down word anyone can say to mean anything.
"Can a 'queer' meditate?" is the question. The counter-question is, "What's a 'queer'?"
If it simply means "sexually non-normative," welcome to the clurb. Who's "normative" nowadays?
If it means something more specific, it'll have to be specified. Here's a handy LGBTQI+ Dictionary: List of LGBTQ+ terms (stonewall.org.uk).

| Ooh! Wee! U b u so I can be me! (WQ) |
Oh, look! You're a unicorn, a snowflake, a unique and indefinable set of skandhas (Five Aggregates clung to as self). If there's no self, how can there be a "queer" or anything else?
So "don't just do something, sit there." Sit. It means meditate. But before there's meditation -- stillness absorbing into a single object of attention with its attendant bliss, coherence, and clarity.
.
Fly your fun flag. You be you. You only live many, many times, so enjoy it. Stand up, stand proud, and sit down already; you made your point.
Meditation is much deeper. It's a practice. Like mindfulness, it helps all beings in all of their endeavors. A criminal has as much or more to gain from becoming more mindful than an honest person, like a greedy person stands to gain more from letting go and sharing.

Gay in the Deep South (video)
Straight Dave (Mr. "Bruno" Cohen); S. Auberon, CC Liu, Sheldon S. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

| "Straight Dave" (Sacha B. Cohen) |
Here "Bruno," as "Straight Dave," travels to the South for a good ol' fashion beat down in "Straight Dave's Man Slammin' Maxout." But the easily-duped, beer-swigging, Caucasian, Christian, WASPy, IQ-impaired, hyper-masculine fight fans will have none of it.
Maybe we should be more tolerant and less hateful/phobic? Or maybe the city folk "Cosmopolitans" should just wince at what the country neighbor cousins are doing to the image of the USA toward the LGBTQI community. Either way, it's very funny and all in jest, as Cohen explained on The Jonathan Ross Show in England.

Why is sexual abuse rampant in religion?
Pat Macpherson, Pfc. Sandoval, Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly (ANALYSIS)
Recently we asked, How gay can Vatican priests get? Just a few days later, England's top Catholic (Scotsman and homosexual cleric, Cardinal Keith O'Brien) is stepping down after accusations by fellow priests that he sexually harassed them.
Sadly, these aberrations can hardly be called "aberrant" since they have been going on so long. Nor are they limited to Judeo-Christian societies. Cultures around the world have always had to deal with the natural occurrence of bisexual and homosexual behavior, and some have done so quite successfully (such as the Native American Chumash and various Asian cultures).
Prison? Prisoners -- left with a great deal of stress, testosterone, unresolved abuse (childhood and current), intimacy issues, fear, pride, and power trips to resolve -- are notorious for engaging in rape, sodomy, and violent sexual abuse. And who has more prisoners than America? The same phenomenon was seen in South Africa when so many non-Afrikaners were imprisoned that it created a cultural change of almost normalizing bisexuality. Are women not aware of what is happening, or are they in denial of what they become aware of but find painful to admit? Do they perpetuate the shame? What about non-offending men? Not surprisingly, hypermasculine men will want to stamp out "weaknesses" they perceive in themselves out of others; not able to resolve it or cope with it or assimilate it into their view of themselves, they attack others. American prison guards rape male prisoners, why? Is it homosexuality, a power trip, bisexuality, violent humiliation that ends with ejaculation? (Controversially, like Dr. Drew Pinsky, we believe that rape is mostly a sexual crime; clearly it is violent, but its motives are mostly sexual with violent elements or masking is shame using violence). Sexual abusers are well tolerated in prison so long as their practices begin in prison; anyone arrested for sex crimes, hypocritically, is targeted from the outset. Hypocrisy? The inability to assimilate the very impulses they see in others and deny in themselves?

It's one thing for priests, engaged in post-seminary activities, to be gay. But it seems a whole other thing for Church officials to engage in hypocritical homosexual misconduct. Not satisfied to molest boys, traffic in child pornography, and cause parishes and the Vatican to pay out millions in donations from innocent devotees, now it is revealed that higher-ups in the Church have been "indoctrinating" young priests in a lifestyle choice that ruins lives of children and clerics, as attested to by SNAP (snapnetwork.org) and other organizations.
Young men, hoping to avoid homosexual impulses/thoughts, sometimes as a result of having been molested sometimes not, may seek a higher course of life -- the "respectability" of celibacy in an all-male organization with a cohort of similarly gay-but-not-acting-on-it recruits beloved in the community and welcomed into homes with vulnerable young boys. And so the cycle continues -- men not identifying as "gay" molesting boys, who go on to live out the terrible ramifications of childhood abuse.
Some, wishing to avoid the staid and sedentary lifestyle of bookish churchmen, instead go into the military where they are able to rape boys and young men (often killing them to conceal the sex crimes), and fellow male soldiers with almost complete immunity. The brass defends, covers up, and is certainly aware of their behavior -- often charging victims who come forward to report the crimes, in some cases charging singles with "adultery" because the man who raped them was married, as seen in "The Invisible War -- just as Church officials are seen doing. While these men commit their crimes with violence and the threat of violence, the churchmen are arguably more reprehensible for abusing and misusing "God," religion, sin, retribution, and punishment as explanations to hapless victims. Yet it is all shrouded in shame and secrecy. Unless this is uncovered, we can only expect to see more and more sexual perversion, hypermasculinity, effeminate behavior, DOMA, official Church hypocrisy, denial from the lay community, and a hatred of the body and human sexuality.

When it is accompanied by shame, humiliation, considered aberrant rather than normative within a range of behaviors, perversion ensues. Islam has much to answer for in this regard. Widespread homosexuality in the Iranian military, utterly denied by leaders and ordinary citizens is already well known. (Perhaps high testosterone resulting from early childhood trauma, which often entails violent acting out for what cannot be spoken or named, and androgen stimulation from military training, police training, prison guarding, boy scouting, and so on, leads to more predatory behavior. But the machismo leads to shame, denial, hypocrisy, and homophobia -- fear and loathing of the acts and impulses rather than the ordinary understanding of the word as hatred of individuals.)

A BBC documentary has uncovered evidence of abuse by the Afghan police force in Helmand province. Reporter Ben Anderson spent five weeks following a group of US
Marines who are advising the police in Sangin district before the
hand-over of power is completed there next month. He discovered evidence of some shocking behavior including corruption, kidnap, drug use, murder, and child abuse [sex trafficking]. Anchor Marco Werman speaks with Anderson about his report. More
Islam? Tonight PBS will investigate the widespread practice by Islamic Afghani police who abduct young boys and keep them as servants and homosexual rape victims or "sex slaves" (bacha bazi, baccha). Often the excuse is that the boys offer up their bodies, possibly in exchange for closeness as was reportedly the custom in ancient Greece (pederasty) with its gynasia and apprentice/mentor relationships. It is to be expected in any society that hates females, considers them "dirty," or cloistered, or the "property" of someone else that boys and young men will be abused as proxies. Why is anyone being sexually abused? If "sex" is labelled dirty, immoral, or prohibited, it will simply go underground and be denied; it will not make people chaste, particularly not adults and priests. We should have learned from childhood that closing our eyes does not make our monsters (often our relatives, neighbors, and clerics) disappear; it only makes us feel as if they have. The problem remains festering, like hydraulic fracking-chemicals, pushed down here only to pop up everywhere else. We are blind to our own sexual misconduct, but we somehow are able to see it in others such as our "enemies" the Afghanis. So let us look at the "dancing boy" phenomenon and set aside the child trafficking and male prostitution rampant in the US.

Did Cross-dressing Priest Sex Ring bring down Benedict XVI?

The evidence reportedly includes compromising photos and videos of the prelates -- sometimes caught on film in drag [dressed as women], and, in some cases, caught "in the act" [engaging in homosexual sex].
Revelations about the alleged network are the basis of a 300-page report supposedly delivered to Benedict on December 17 [2012]... According to the press reports, it was on that day that Benedict XVI decided once and for all to retire, after toying with the idea for months.
He reportedly closed the dossier and locked it away in the pontifical apartment safe to be handed to his successor to deal with [i.e., hush up or deny].
According to reports originally printed by La Repubblica newspaper and the newsweekly Panorama (and followed up across the gamut of the Italian media), the crimes the cardinals uncovered involved breaking the commandments “Thou shalt not steal” and “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” the latter of which has been used in Vatican-speak to also refer also to homosexual relations instead of the traditional reference to infidelity. | Pope Benedict (Benoit) gives a sign |
A group of topless activists scandalized visitors at Paris' Notre
Dame Cathedral on Tuesday by disrobing in public to celebrate Pope
Benedict XVI's resignation.
The small group of women, all affiliated with radical feminist group FEMEN, flashed their breasts and banged on bells in the cathedral, shouting slogans such as, "Bye Bye Benedict" and "No more homophobe," according to the Agence France-Presse.
The pope announced his resignation Monday in a shocking pronouncement that took the Catholic community by surprise. However, FEMEN appears to have little to no love for the outgoing pontiff, whom the group blasted on its website for his stance on same-sex marriage.
According to the site, the "French Femen sextremists" were playing a "funeral march" for the pope. A photo of the women was accompanied by the following description: More

Time, due to time travel permutations and interference, is behind a few months. The real Mayan calendar end date is now no longer Dec. 21st, 2012 but rather some time in Feb. 2013, according to Lord Macklin, who spoke at the recent Conscious Life Expo. This might explain the bombshell news that Pope Benedict is stepping down all of a sudden. Is Maitreya Buddha, Messiah Jesus (Issa), or Naga Quetzalcoatl about to return? Probably not, but maybe. Something scared Mr. Ratzinger (Pope Benedict) out of office in an almost-unprecedented move. Six hundred years ago the same thing happened, but back then a better reason was given than just being too old and frail to do a good job. Last night on Coast to Coast a far more ominous reason was given: the Vatican bank has been laundering drug and Italian Mafia money, which was known, and may now be insolvent or in a great deal of trouble. What CEO wants to head a bankrupt organization that can no longer defend itself with the highest-priced lawyers around?

Gay marriage closer to reality (video)
Wisdom Quarterly (COMMENTARY)
America's anti-sweetheart Kathy Griffin teaches us to profit from gays
But what we really need to do is come to terms with ourselves, our motives, and how we treat others. Regardless of how hard we are on ourselves -- how pure, how extreme, how blameless -- there is no merit in condemning others. Love one, love all in an altruistic way full of sympathy (resonating with their highs and lows) and compassion.
One sure way to guilt-laden (vipaka or karmic mental resultant) homosexual compulsions in future lives is to torment gays, according to the readings of Edgar Cayce and the mysterious workings of karma.
Drugs, alcohol, early childhood trauma (rape, molestation, boundary violations, emotional abuse, instability), hormonal irregularities (which now cannot be avoided in a world awash with plastic, plastic residues, and xeno-estrogenic compounds) all play into our sexuality and sense of ourselves as masculine-feminine-androgynous-or-asexual.
What is worse, fluid borders or finding out that a gay marriage was really no better than a straight one?
People are people, and violating some social norm or biblical injunction will not solve all of our problems. Nor will it bring human civilization crumbling down (unless the "fag" hating Calvinists at Phelps' Westboro Baptist Church are right).
While being open to correction by others, correcting others uninvited is a minefield. One has to imagine that not being able to marry someone of the same sex must be as bad as being forced to marry someone of the other sex for some people.
According to the Buddha, "Forbearance [tolerance, acceptance, respect] is the highest virtue."
Meditation masters, New Age gurus, and bestselling authors like Eckhart Tolle and Byron Katie all how up the silliness of resisting reality. Reality should be understood and allowed because it is that way anyway.
Since Proposition 8 violates civil rights, the case is going to the Supreme Court on appeal. But this is a California-centric decision. The courts are not speaking for other states or their individual circumstances.
With a handful of states already allowing same-sex marriages, along with other countries and almost universal acceptance of lesbianism as entertainment, it is only a matter of time before we all serve as Best Man at a lesbian wedding or enjoy the fancy nuptials of Adam and Steve.
By and large, who has not already accepted that? Catholic priests? Page-loving Republican politicians? Los Angeles elementary school teachers? Gay rapists in the US military?
Our heroic American soldiers are actually gay sodomites?
College students today tend to consider it a non-issue not worthy of debate. If homosexuality is wrong according to one's religion, arguments about the definition of "marriage" are not going to change that. If one's concern is strictly societal and the biological perpetuation of the species, there is no need to worry.

- Buddhism and the social study of sex? Buddhism, Sexuality, and Gender (edited by Jose Ignacio Cabezon) deals with the very few places gay (possibly transgender) deviants come up in ancient Buddhist texts. The Pali Canon speaks of pandakas and their exclusion from the ancient Indian Buddhist Monastic Order, Japanese texts advocate Greek-style pederasty among priests, and scholars examine attitudes towards women and the gender symbolism of Kwan-yin...

Sexual orientation not a choice, expert says

The final witness for gays and lesbians seeking to overturn California's ban on same-sex marriage testified Friday that most people don't choose their sexual orientation, few people change it and "conversion therapy" is useless and potentially harmful.

The final witness for gays and lesbians seeking to overturn California's ban on same-sex marriage testified Friday that most people don't choose their sexual orientation, few people change it and "conversion therapy" is useless and potentially harmful.
"The vast majority of people are consistent in their (sexual) behavior, their identity and their attractions," Gregory Herek, a UC Davis psychology professor, said at the San Francisco federal court trial on the constitutionality of Proposition 8.
He said 95 percent of the self-identified gay men in a study he conducted, and 80 to 90 percent of the lesbians, believed they had little or no choice in their sexual orientation. More>>
