Holy smoke, new pope! Roman Catholicism's new emperor is American from Chicago: Leo

I could Make Rome Great Again. I'm willing to buy the office like they used in the good old days
I approve of this Peruvian Petro to be the new Rock, the new Roman

Holy Roman Catholicism's St. Peter's Square
Pope Leo the 14th
(Robert Francis Prevost), 69, from Chicago, USA (a graduate of Villanova University), a trusted confidante of outgoing (deceased) Pope Francis. This is The New Pope.

Chi Town's nice, nicer than the Rock
Pope Leo XIV is an Augustinian cardinal who spent a great deal of time in the Americas, particularly in Peru, as a dual-citizen.

It's an unbelievable development in world history as the temporal leader (tough guy Trump) and the spiritual leader are from the same country, a rich nation that now rules the rest of the world outright instead of just militarily, financially, and hegemonically (in terms of disproportionate influence).
Pope Benedict Arnold: Why, God, why not me?
What is it about Chicago to produce the CIA-groomed dictator of Israel (Bibi Netanyahu), CIA-groomed Barry Soetoro Obama, Trump's favorite historical figure (Al "Scarface" Capone), AND now this holy man, the world's first American pope? To be sure, there are other popes (head patriarchs of various Christian churches) in the world. The only explanation given so far? "He's the least American American," which is a nice epigram. If the US is a War Machine, Pope Leo is a man of peace.

MAGA is mad at Marxist pope

That was fast. It's as if he were pre-selected.
However, this is the continuation of the Holy Roman Empire that rules the world through devotion of more than a billion adherents (1.4 billion total and 1 in 5 Americans) and untold riches stored away in public and secret investment bank accounts all over the world and booty stored in the Vatican (City) in the Holy See.

The grandeur of the Holy Roman Empire headquarters, the palace at Saint Peter's Square
.
Rob Prevost: a modest parish priest
The "Holy See" is its own independent country/city-state in the middle of Rome, where Mithras was for so long worshipped until being swapped out for Jewish Jesus Christ and, more importantly, his mother, Goddess Virgin Mary (Jewish Miriam).

Peter the Roman?
You forced me out too soon!
If this is "Peter the Roman," that must mean the USA is the new ROME, the new world-dominating imperial power. Prevost is Italian (ROMAN) and French, on his father's side, with a mother who's French, African, and Spanish, a dual citizen born in the U.S. but also possessing Peruvian citizenship. Peru is as happy as the U.S. about his selection.

Trump, Harris standup comedy (roast)

Donald Trump full speech at Al Smith Dinner in New York City (Oct. 17, 2024)
(WFAA) Ex-Pres. Donny Johnny Trump delivered humorous remarks [someone else wrote for him] at the Al Smith Dinner, which benefits New York City Catholic charities, in NYC on Oct. 17, 2024.

Cringe: Kamala "I Never Said I Was a Comedian or Actress or Normie" Harris’ skit with SNL Catholic alum Molly Shannon at Al Smith dinner

(New York Post) At this year's Al Smith charity dinner, presidential hopeful VP Kamala got a little help from SNL's "Mary Catherine Gallagher." Ahead of a pre-recorded speech (because she couldn't bother to be there in person, or send liberals Jewish Doug Emhoff and Midwestern Tim Walz, like everyone else except for candidate Walt Mondale), the veep tried to perform a comedy bit alongside Molly Shannon's '90s-era Catholic school girl character from Saturday Night Live. Yikes, at least Trump proved he was not illiterate as he read haltingly and in a stilted manner of a declining senior citizen, the oldest would be prez ever, not from teleprompter screens but old-fashioned cue cards). #kamalaharris #alsmithdinner #mollyshannon

Sexy, violent Catholic Sabrina Carpenter?

What does rense.com mean by this meme?
One has to wonder, Who's the Pope's favorite singer? Ricky Martin? Some Conservative Catholics say Jorge Bergoglio (aka Pope Francis) is not the real pope and is not even Catholic. How could that be? He's Argentinian at least, right? No? Is CEO Bergoglio another Italian name like the other "princes" of the Holy Roman Church (Vatican, Inc)? He probably doesn't like girls, and we know he's not one to judge, but if he did and he were, wouldn't it be Sabrina C? "Feather" is all about sending a pic, one thing Il Papa must enjoy, texting with all his boy fans inside the seminary.

Rapist Catholic cardinal gets slap on wrist

Associated Press (ap.org); Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Cardinal George Pell, the third highest ranking Vatican official, sentenced to prison for raping young boys in Australia
I'm still a priest, so have respect, coppers.
MELBOURNE, Australia - The most senior Catholic convicted of [child rape in the form of homosexual sodomy of choirboys] sex abuse was facing 50 years in prison. He was sentenced today to six years in prison for molesting two choirboys in an Australian Catholic cathedral in a crime the judge said showed "staggering arrogance."

Cardinal George Pell, the most senior Catholic cleric to face sex charges, departs an Australian court. Pell was sentenced in an Australian court on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 to 6 years in prison for molesting two choirboys in a Melbourne cathedral more than 20 years ago.

I'm a gentleman and convicted rapist.
Cardinal George Pell must serve a minimum of 3 years and 8 months before he is eligible for parole, according to the judge's order. The five convictions against Pell carried a maximum possible sentence of 10 years each [=50 years].

"In my view, your [sexual mis-]conduct was permeated by staggering arrogance," Victoria state County Court Chief Judge Peter Kidd said in handing down the sentence.

Pope Francis' [personal friend and] former finance minister was convicted by a unanimous jury verdict in December of orally raping a 13-year-old choirboy and indecently dealing with the boy and the boy's 13-year-old friend in the late 1990s, months after Pell became archbishop of Melbourne. A court order had suppressed media reporting the news until last month.

The 77-year-old denies the allegations and will appeal his convictions in the Victoria Court of Appeal on June 5. It was not immediately clear if he will also appeal the sentence.

For the first time in Cardinal Pell's many court appearances since he returned to Australia from the Vatican to face abuse charges, Catholic Priest Pell wore an open-necked shirt without a cleric's collar.

He was also not wearing a cardinal's gold ring, which might reflect strict rules on jewelry in the state penal system.

In explaining his sentencing decision, the judge said Pell had [so far as police are aware] led an "otherwise blameless life." [He just homosexually raped children in church and has never been proven to be engaged in financial crimes as Pope Francis' finance minister at the Vatican.]

Judge Kidd said he believed given Cardinal Pell's age and lack of any other criminal record, the cardinal posed no risk of re-offending. [He has not been defrocked and is still a Catholic priest and cardinal in good standing.] More

Child-rapist Cardinal Pell to be sentenced

Sex abuse convictions of Australia cardinal prove polarizing
You can rape children, just sign here in blood.
MELBOURNE, Australia - The most senior Catholic to be convicted of child sex abuse will be sentenced to prison in Australia on Wednesday in a landmark case that has polarized observers.

I'm not the only one! The Pope is my friend.
Some described the prosecution as proof the church is no longer above the law, while others suspect Cardinal George Pell has been made a scapegoat for the church's [many rapist, child molesting, homosexual priests and Vatican officials'] sins.

Pope Francis' former finance minister, who had been described as the third-highest ranking Catholic in the Vatican, has spent two weeks in a Melbourne remand jail cell since a sentencing hearing in the Victoria state County Court on Feb. 27 in which his lawyers conceded the 77-year-old must spend time behind bars.

I have profound remorse for gay sex abuse.
Cardinal Pell had been convicted in December of orally raping a 13-year-old choirboy and indecently dealing with [groping, raping, further molesting?] the boy and the boy's 13-year-old friend in the late 1990s, months after Pell became archbishop of Melbourne and initiated a compensation scheme for victims of clergy sexual abuse.

A court order had prohibited media from reporting on the verdict until two weeks ago, when prosecutors abandoned a second trial on charges that Pell had groped two boys in a public swimming pool in the 1970s.

Chief Judge Peter Kidd will sentence Pell on five convictions, each carrying a potential 10-year maximum sentence.

Il Papa, they want to investigate us!
Most of the sentences for each conviction are likely to be served concurrently. Pell's sentence will also reflect court standards of two decades ago, when his crimes were committed. In those days, judges placed less weight on the damage done to children by sexual abuse.

In an unusual move for an Australian court that acknowledges intense international interest in the case, the judge will allow his sentencing remarks to be broadcast on live television.

After centuries of impunity, cardinals from Australia to Chile and points in between are facing justice in both the Vatican and government courts for their own sexual misdeeds or for having shielded abusers under their watch.

I protect rapist-priests in Chile for Vatican.
Last week, France's senior Catholic cleric, Cardinal Philippe Barbarin, was convicted of failing to report a known pedophile priest to police. He was given a six-month suspended sentence.

Pope Francis last month defrocked the onetime leader of the American church after an internal investigation determined Cardinal Theodore McCarrick sexually molested children and adult men. It was the first time a cardinal had been defrocked over the child abuse scandal. More

How highest ranking Catholic, Cardinal George Pell, was brought to justice in the court system
The conviction of Cardinal George Pell for sexual offenses against two young teenage boys was suppressed by the court. Now the story of what happened to them can be told. For the first time, those central to the case speak out to Four Corners’ reporter Louise Milligan. Is he a scapegoat for child molesters throughout the Church or one of the very few to go through the courts after getting caught?

Molesting children for Catholic Church (video)

60 Minutes Australia, Feb. 25, 2019; Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly

Damning evidence against Catholic Cardinal George Pell
In 2015, 60 Minutes presented damning new evidence against Pell. He has always argued his intervention on behalf of child molestation victims was innovative, independent, and compassionate. But now secret documents reveal it as a cynical smokescreen designed to protect the Catholic Church at all costs.
For 40 years, 60 Minutes has been telling Australians the world’s greatest stories. Tales that changed history, the nation, and lives. Reporters Liz Hayes, Allison Langdon, Tara Brown, Charles Wooley, Liam Bartlett, and Sarah Abo look past the headlines because there is always a bigger picture. The new Saint Francis (Pope)

Pat Macpherson, Seth Auberon, Ashley Wells, Pfc. Sandoval, Wisdom Quarterly UPDATED
Don't cry for me, Argentina. I was once first runner up. Now I will be a saint (catholicfire)

Pope Francis I (in pink), Issa on right (msnbc)
San Francisco, Vatican City, and Bueno Aires are all ecstatic. "Habemus papam," it was announced today, which roughly translates from the Latin as: "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." (In Buddhist terms, Papa mitta).

Il Papa, or "The Daddy," has been selected from the New World, namely, German-saturated Argentina. He is the first pope from the Americas but, sadly, he is not from Brazil, the largest Catholic country in the world.

St. Francis of Assisi spoke with the animals.
He immediately broke with tradition by choosing the name "Francis" (Spanish Francisco, French Francois). However, because he is a Jesuit, it is more likely that he is referencing Francis Xavier rather than the much beloved Mahayana bodhisattva, San Francisco (Saint Francis). At 76 he is rather old and conservative opposing gay marriage and, one presumes, women and vulnerable children in general

We were expecting "Peter the Roman" (Petrus Romanus) in accordance with St. Malaky's prophesy, but that may yet find a way to become evident and for this to be the final pope.

WomensOrdination.org may be disappointed that he, the Church's "Holy Father" as Zeus' representative on Earth, was selected. But his selection should not have come as a surprise given that he came in second place in the last (s)election process.

The Vatican, Inc. knows what it's doing... and that is generally not doing the bidding of laypeople, the poor, the children, or the celestial spheres. On the upside, Francis I may be more open to Liberation Theology.

A Church that RAPES together Pays together
Cardinal Roger Michael Mahony arrives to attend a mass at St Peter's basilica on March 12, 2013 at the Vatican.
Child molester protector, Cardinal Mahony
Meanwhile, back in America, Cardinal Roger Mahony is in big trouble with the police. The L.A. Archdiocese has agreed to pay out millions in donations from laypeople to settle four cases of sex abuse.

He could run to Rome but, unlike Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, he could not hide from his crimes. The Cardinal concealed the felonies of fellow priests, such as raping children. Father Michael Baker confessed his crimes to his boss Mahony, who quickly called police? No, he quickly sent him away to prevent him from confessing to a psychologist or counselor, who would have been obligated by law to report it to police.

Baker is accused of molesting 23 (LA Times)
Then Mahony had confessed child molester Baker excommunicated from the Catholic Church for high crimes? No, he then brought him back from hiding, assigned him to a parish, where Fr. Baker continued to rape boys under the auspices and full legal protection of the Church.

The L.A. Times reports that the settlement stems from what Mahony called "the most troubling case of his tenure." But the payout only settles four cases brought by at least 23 youngsters who allege they were sexually molested by Father Michael Baker, the men's attorney tells the AP.

Why is sexual abuse rampant in religion?

Pat Macpherson, Pfc. Sandoval, Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly (ANALYSIS)
The world agrees with Stewie, "These outrages will not be soon forgotten."

Orgasms...sex...? (thismodernworld.com)
Recently we asked, How gay can Vatican priests get? Just a few days later, England's top Catholic (Scotsman and homosexual cleric, Cardinal Keith O'Brien) is stepping down after accusations by fellow priests that he sexually harassed them.

It's one thing for priests, engaged in post-seminary activities, to be gay. But it seems a whole other thing for Church officials to engage in hypocritical homosexual misconduct. Not satisfied to molest boys, traffic in child pornography, and cause parishes and the Vatican to pay out millions in donations from innocent devotees, now it is revealed that higher-ups in the Church have been "indoctrinating" young priests in a lifestyle choice that ruins lives of children and clerics, as attested to by SNAP (snapnetwork.org) and other organizations.

Young men, hoping to avoid homosexual impulses/thoughts, sometimes as a result of having been molested sometimes not, may seek a higher course of life -- the "respectability" of celibacy in an all-male organization with a cohort of similarly gay-but-not-acting-on-it recruits beloved in the community and welcomed into homes with vulnerable young boys. And so the cycle continues -- men not identifying as "gay" molesting boys, who go on to live out the terrible ramifications of childhood abuse.

How does childhood trauma affect females? Tattoos, drugs, denial, and experimentation? CONTROVERSY: By definition, few homosexuals may molest children, BUT all people who molest children of the same sex are necessarily engaging in homosexuality.

Some, wishing to avoid the staid and sedentary lifestyle of bookish churchmen, instead go into the military where they are able to rape boys and young men (often killing them to conceal the sex crimes), and fellow male soldiers with almost complete immunity. The brass defends, covers up, and is certainly aware of their behavior -- often charging victims who come forward to report the crimes, in some cases charging singles with "adultery" because the man who raped them was married, as seen in "The Invisible War -- just as Church officials are seen doing. While these men commit their crimes with violence and the threat of violence, the churchmen are arguably more reprehensible for abusing and misusing "God," religion, sin, retribution, and punishment as explanations to hapless victims. Yet it is all shrouded in shame and secrecy. Unless this is uncovered, we can only expect to see more and more sexual perversion, hypermasculinity, effeminate behavior, DOMA, official Church hypocrisy, denial from the lay community, and a hatred of the body and human sexuality.

Sorts of kids Americans are killing (Blue_agava)
Sadly, these aberrations can hardly be called "aberrant" since they have been going on so long. Nor are they limited to Judeo-Christian societies. Cultures around the world have always had to deal with the natural occurrence of bisexual and homosexual behavior, and some have done so quite successfully (such as the Native American Chumash and various Asian cultures).

When it is accompanied by shame, humiliation, considered aberrant rather than normative within a range of behaviors, perversion ensues. Islam has much to answer for in this regard. Widespread homosexuality in the Iranian military, utterly denied by leaders and ordinary citizens is already well known. (Perhaps high testosterone resulting from early childhood trauma, which often entails violent acting out for what cannot be spoken or named, and androgen stimulation from military training, police training, prison guarding, boy scouting, and so on, leads to more predatory behavior. But the machismo leads to shame, denial, hypocrisy, and homophobia -- fear and loathing of the acts and impulses rather than the ordinary understanding of the word as hatred of individuals.)

Famous Afghan beauty (Nat Geo)
Prison? Prisoners -- left with a great deal of stress, testosterone, unresolved abuse (childhood and current), intimacy issues, fear, pride, and power trips to resolve -- are notorious for engaging in rape, sodomy, and violent sexual abuse. And who has more prisoners than America? The same phenomenon was seen in South Africa when so many non-Afrikaners were imprisoned that it created a cultural change of almost normalizing bisexuality. Are women not aware of what is happening, or are they in denial of what they become aware of but find painful to admit? Do they perpetuate the shame? What about non-offending men? Not surprisingly, hypermasculine men will want to stamp out "weaknesses" they perceive in themselves out of others; not able to resolve it or cope with it or assimilate it into their view of themselves, they attack others. American prison guards rape male prisoners, why? Is it homosexuality, a power trip, bisexuality, violent humiliation that ends with ejaculation? (Controversially, like Dr. Drew Pinsky, we believe that rape is mostly a sexual crime; clearly it is violent, but its motives are mostly sexual with violent elements or masking is shame using violence). Sexual abusers are well tolerated in prison so long as their practices begin in prison; anyone arrested for sex crimes, hypocritically, is targeted from the outset. Hypocrisy? The inability to assimilate the very impulses they see in others and deny in themselves?
  .

A BBC documentary has uncovered evidence of abuse by the Afghan police force in Helmand province. Reporter Ben Anderson spent five weeks following a group of US Marines who are advising the police in Sangin district before the hand-over of power is completed there next month. He discovered evidence of some shocking behavior including corruption, kidnap, drug use, murder, and child abuse [sex trafficking]. Anchor Marco Werman speaks with Anderson about his report. More
Islam? Tonight PBS will investigate the widespread practice by Islamic Afghani police who abduct young boys and keep them as servants and homosexual rape victims or "sex slaves" (bacha bazi, baccha). Often the excuse is that the boys offer up their bodies, possibly in exchange for closeness as was reportedly the custom in ancient Greece (pederasty) with its gynasia and apprentice/mentor relationships. It is to be expected in any society that hates females, considers them "dirty," or cloistered, or the "property" of someone else that boys and young men will be abused as proxies. Why is anyone being sexually abused? If "sex" is labelled dirty, immoral, or prohibited, it will simply go underground and be denied; it will not make people chaste, particularly not adults and priests. We should have learned from childhood that closing our eyes does not make our monsters (often our relatives, neighbors, and clerics) disappear; it only makes us feel as if they have. The problem remains festering, like hydraulic fracking-chemicals, pushed down here only to pop up everywhere else. We are blind to our own sexual misconduct, but we somehow are able to see it in others such as our "enemies" the Afghanis. So let us look at the "dancing boy" phenomenon and set aside the child trafficking and male prostitution rampant in the US.

Social religion (celibate communities) and individual spirituality cannot thrive in a hypocritical environment, but they can thrive with the practice of jhana (serenity meditation).

Newsflash: god recalls Pope

Wisdom Quarterly (EDITORIAL)

Pope in robes (nocaptionneeded.com)
First Barney dies, now the Pope is being recalled (called to resign, which Vatican law allows, rather than retire). What is god, the tribal deity of Catholics and Jews and Christians and possibly Muslims, thinking?

Archbishop Jose Gomez (CNA/Matthew Rarey)
Recently the new Archbishop of Los Angeles, Jose Gomez, denounced former Cardinal Roger Mahoney for felonies surrounding his concealing of child molestation, rape, and sexual misconduct by trusted Catholic priests all over the country, moving rapists to new parishes where they again raped children. Will the LAPD be filing charges? They're looking into it, but the Vatican has powerful lawyers and an almost infinite donation-well/real estate holdings to dip in, then there's the Officer Dorner fiasco which has it all tied up. So probably not. Nevertheless, Archbishop Gomez publicly humiliated Mahoney by outing him for his immoral and unethical behavior.

Mahoney countered on his blog, stating that he was never taught about homosexual acting out by priests in the seminary he attended. This is odd since one of the biggest Church-related scandals in nearby Mexico was over a chief Catholic cleric who was in the habit of molesting incoming seminarians, who probably went on to become outgoing child-molesting priests, bishops, archbishops, and -- if it's the god's will -- cardinals. Whatever Archbishop Gomez did in stripping Mahoney of all official power, he has not been able to keep him from performing services in his own local church or heading to the seat of the current Roman Empire to vote for the next religious emperor (pope). The papacy is that powerful, and viewed in just that way in some quarters of the Orthodox Eastern Church (of Russia and the Near East).

Male priests attend to the lamas' lama.
And Catholics constitute the world's largest religion in official numbers (~1.2 billion). There are more than a billion Buddhists in the world, but most of them are not counted in official census numbers tabulated by the communist regime (think China) and Hindu-dominated governments (think Nepal) in which they practice. For the sake of clarification it should be made clear that there are only three "world religions," universal missionary traditions. When Catholicism, Christianity, and Judaism are combined, they form the largest. Islam (Shiites, Sunnis, and Sufis) and Buddhism (Mahayana, Theravada, and Vajrayana) are the other two.

Pope in full regalia (dalailama)
What was Archbishop Gomez upset about? The massive child molesting scandal is getting worse now that the Church has confessed to failing to report, concealing, and dissuading the reporting of sex crimes against minors within the Church. This was not an "oversight" or act of "rogue elements" within the Church; it was a conspiracy (in league with lawyers and one can imagine other diabolical elements), a crime, and shameless hypocrisy that ran all the way to the top. Where is/was the top? Outgoing Pope Benedict's lap. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. So since Catholicism (with its massive Mithraic and Euro-Roman-Pagan inheritance) and Lamaism (with its massive Bon and Hindu-tantra inheritance) already have so much in common -- with great pomp, ceremony, and an extraordinarily patriarchal bishop/cardinal (lama/rinpoche) power structure, the 16th Benedict Pope (Joe Ratzinger) is following the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) into official-semi-retirement. However, while the Pope leaves in just enough time to escape total disgrace, the Dalai Lama enjoy more popularity than ever. It cannot be that both god-kings did not face the same issues in their predominantly male organizations, but one seems to have worried about money and corporate management while the other focused on liberating most of its flock from the clutches of godless Chinese oppressors. Moreover, while some think the Dalai Lama is an enlightened master, few if any regard the Pope as much more than a figurehead/CEO.

Do most people know that the Vatican and Holy See (the world's smallest independent state/country, which is in Rome but neither a part of Rome or Italy) is built on a massive temple complex dedicated to Mithra? The Romans worshipped Mithra long before it nominally converted to worshipping the anointed King Jesus (St. Issa/Y'shua Christos). Never mind that the story of Jesus survived as a Jewish mushroom cult talking about the psychedelic experience as personified in the person of Jesus of Nazara, Egypt (not Nazareth, Israel/Palestine).
