Yi Long Ma (Chinese 马一龙, Pinyin yī lóng ma) was born Liu Xingjun (Chinese 刘星君, Pinyin Liú Xīngjūn) [2].
He is a Chinese martial artist, kickboxer, Wushu, and practitioner of other martial arts who competes in Super Welterweight, Welterweight, and Super Middleweight divisions. Born in Dezhou, Shandong [2], he is self-trained in Shaolin Kung Fu [3].
In 2007, he became the Guangdong Foshan International Wing Chun champion. In the summer of 2009, he began to fight in Wu Lin Fen [4]. Yi Long previously called himself the "Number 1 Shaolin Kung Fu Monk" despite the Shaolin Buddhist Temple in 2010 claiming the fighter is unaffiliated with them [5]. More
(ESPN) YouTuber-turned-boxer "I beat Mike Tyson[who may or may not have been paid to take a fall]" Jake Paul will face former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in a professional heavyweight boxing match on Dec. 19 at Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Most Valuable Promotions told ESPN on Monday.
The fight -- which will be streamed live on Netflix -- is scheduled for eight 3-minute rounds, and the fighters will wear 10-ounce gloves, the standard for heavyweight fights.
It's an about-face for Jake Paul, 27, who was originally slated to take on WBA lightweight champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis in an exhibition fight on Nov. 14, 2025. However, the bout was canceled after Davis was named in a civil lawsuit filed by an ex-girlfriend accusing the boxer of [testosterone poisoning,] aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Instead of an exhibition against a hard-hitting pro boxer who campaigned at 130 pounds, Paul will now face a two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist in a sanctioned professional boxing match who has fought as high as 256 pounds, over 100 pounds heavier than Davis [and much taller].
Paul has campaigned primarily as a cruiserweight with a 200-pound weight limit, although he weighed 227.25 pounds for his heavyweight exhibition fight with Mike Tyson in 2024.
"This isn't an AI simulation. This is Judgment Day," Jake Paul said in a statement, "a professional heavyweight fight against an elite world champion in his prime. When I beat Anthony Joshua, every doubt disappears, and no one can deny me the opportunity to fight for a world title. To all my haters, this is what you wanted. To the people of the United Kingdom, I am sorry. On Friday, Dec. 19, under the lights in Miami, live globally only on Netflix, the torch gets passed and Britain's Goliath gets put to sleep."
Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) is still a novice in the sport with no notable amateur experience and only 70 total rounds boxed as a pro since 2020. He'll take a massive step up from MMA fighters and journeyman boxers to face Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), one of the hardest-hitting and most decorated heavyweights in the world with over 160 rounds boxed in his 12 years as a professional. There was a "Mann Act" (previously called the White-Slave Traffic Act, a U.S. federal law passed in the summer of 1910, Ch. 395, 36 Stat. 825, codified as amended at 18 U.S.C. §§ 2421–2424) named after [racist American] Congressman James Robert Mann of Illinois), and the white 54th Gov. of NY Eliot Spitzer was going to be prosecuted under it decades later for his prostitution scandal?
(TYT Sports) Sept. 29, 2025: A resurfaced Dave Chappelle standup comedy bit about legendary Black heavyweight champion Jack Johnson perfectly captures why MAGA’s crusade to rewrite and erase history is so dangerous. Johnson’s story exposed the fragility of white supremacy in the boxing ring and beyond — and the violent backlash that followed. As Rick Strom explains, Chappelle’s comedy reveals deeper truths about America’s refusal to confront racism, and why protecting Black history is essential. #TYTsports #Sports #RickStrom
Dave Chappelle and Muhammad Ali were right about Jack Johnson
(Lu Mazing) Aug. 22, 2025: Jack Johnson was more than a boxing champion, he was a revolutionary figure who challenged a racially divided world. Dave Chappelle highlights how Johnson defeated white champions and lived boldly without fear, openly defying the rules of his time and inspiring generations of Black people to embrace courage and self-worth.
Muhammad Ali reminds us of the sheer bravery of Johnson standing completely alone, facing threats and hostility when there were no civil rights organizations to support him. His resilience became a symbol for all Black people to fight for dignity and pursue their dreams.
Donald Trump posthumously pardoned Johnson, acknowledging the injustice he endured under the racist Mann Act, recognizing his extraordinary achievements and legacy as a trailblazer in sports and society. This video brings together perspectives from comedy, sports, and history to show how Jack Johnson changed the world and why his courage continues to inspire us all.

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the US celebrated annually on June 19th to commemorate the ending of legal slavery in the United States.
The holiday's name, first used in the 1890s, is a portmanteau of the words "June" and "nineteenth," referring to June 19, 1865, the day when Major General Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War [8, 9].
In the Civil War period, slavery was brought to an end in various areas of the United States of America at different times. Many enslaved Blacks in the South escaped, demanded wages, stopped work, or even took up arms against the Confederacy of slave states.
We were lied to by the US gov't about Blacks
In January 1865, the U.S. Congress finally proposed the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution for the national abolition of slavery.
By June 1865, almost all enslaved persons had been freed by the victorious Union Army or by state abolition laws. When the national abolition amendment was ratified in December, the remaining enslaved people in Delaware and in Kentucky were freed.
Early Juneteenth celebrations date back to 1866, at first involving church-centered community gatherings in Texas. They spread across the South among newly freed African-Americans and their descendants and became more commercialized in the 1920s and 1930s, often centering on a food festival.
Participants in the Great Migration brought these celebrations to the rest of the country. During the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s, these celebrations were eclipsed by the nonviolent determination to achieve civil rights but grew in popularity again in the 1970s with a focus on African-American freedom and African-American arts.
Beginning with Texas by proclamation in 1938, and by legislation in 1979, every U.S. state and the District of Columbia has formally recognized the holiday in some way.
Juneteenth is also celebrated by the Mascogos, descendants of Black Seminoles who escaped from slavery in 1852 and settled in Coahuila, Mexico [10].

What does Juneteenth celebrate? Meaning and origins explained: Thursday (June 19th) marks 160 years since the origin of June-teenth, which commemorates the day the last group of enslaved people found out they were free. Long a holiday in the Black community and now federally recognized, the celebrations kick off each June 19th, allowing people to gather, dance, reenact pivotal moments in history, and more.
10 little-known truths about the Black Seminole scouts of the Old West: History rarely spotlights those who operated in the shadows, yet the Black Seminole Scouts were among the most fearless and skilled figures of the American frontier. Born from a powerful blend of African, Seminole, and Mexican heritage, these scouts helped shape the outcome of westward expansion—often without the recognition they deserved. Their story is one of survival, strategy, and resilience against impossible odds.
Whites (Caucasian, Anglo-Saxon, American white supremacists, British, German Nazis) enslaved people and stole cultural knowledge from Blacks in Africa (and the Americas), Reds in the Americas, ancient Indians (Dravidians and Aryans) in India?
Who used to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" while uttering poetry and punching people professionally? American president politician Ben Franklin? (Happy birthday, Benji!) No. The great and final prophet of God (peace be upon him)? No. Mr. Cassius M. (Show Me Boxing) American Muhammad Ali is one of the most talented boxers in the history of professional pugilism. His career was full of momentous events, which included a rapid rise and a deafening fall. He was not as spectacular a knockout artist as Mike "Ear Eater" Tyson, but he put a lot of tough guys on the floor of the ring during his career.
Ali making move on shy Pres. Jimmy Carter
Because Ali's career consists of almost only victories, there are a lot of knockouts among them as well. This video collects all of Muhammad Ali's knockouts, from the very first to the most recent. So sit back and watch it all to make light of capitalist-fueled violence that deadens the public and primes them for war ("Might makes right") almost as much as military American football (a kind of more violent futbol or British soccer using a dead animal as a corpse puck, Afghan Polo style from the game buzkashi.
At the same time, think about which bloodsport knockout in Ali's career was the coolest and led to the most killing and brutality by imperial soldiers in Vietnam and elsewhere and paramilitary troopers on the nation's streets who beat Blacks and others like a sport emulating the professional boxing matches they were so fond of watching and modeling. #MohammadAli #knockouts #boxing

Yi Long: Kungfu in Modern Combat Sports
At the monastery, everyone stood back as I went off
(Ramsey Dewey) Jan. 27, 2020: Ramsey Dewey Podcasts. Chinese kickboxing star Yi Long discusses the role of traditional Chinese martial arts in modern combat sports.
Listen to the whole interview on the Ramsey Dewey podcast.
In the dojowe learn the Way of Combat when we would rather be mastering meditation, and it never ends well... One must be disciplined, peaceful, and humble. For the best mastery is mastery of oneself. Just ask war cheerleader Alfred, Lord Tennyson. As soon as one seeks to master others, a world of hurt opens up:
What is the best way to fight?
Kung fu is for self-defense and protecting Dharma
Why is Buddhist Shaolin monk Yi Long demonstrating his Shaolin kung fu training?
It's hard to say. What was once a Buddhist temple practice developed alongside mental training of the heart and mind in meditation eventually became the martial (war) arts independent of their roots in moral and wisdom training.
It is said that South Indian Bodhidharma brought these skills to China, which gave rise to the Chan ("Meditation") school that went on to Japan as Zen, to Korea as Seon, and Vietnam as Thien.
Shaolin kung fu (Chinese 少林功夫, Pinyin Shǎolín gōngfū), also called Shaolin Wushu (少林武術; Shǎolín wǔshù), or Shaolin quan (少林拳, Shàolínquán), is the largest and most famous style of kung fu.
It combines Chan Buddhist philosophy and martial arts. It was developed in the Shaolin Temple in Henan, China during its 1,500-year history. In Chinese folklore there is a saying, "Shaolin kung fu is the best under heaven." More
The Charge of the Light Brigade
By Alfred, Lord Tennyson: European pride? Let's ride into the jaws of death?
I
Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
“Forward, the Light Brigade!
Charge for the guns!” he said.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
II
“Forward, the Light Brigade!”
Was there a man dismayed?
Not though the soldier knew
Someone had blundered.
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die.
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
III
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of hell
Rode the six hundred....
V
Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volleyed and thundered;
Stormed at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell.
They that had fought so well
Came through the jaws of Death,
Back from the mouth of hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.
VI
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made!
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred!

WARNING: Fighting is ugly and fraught with danger, so it is always best avoided. The highlight reels make it seem fun and easy, but the truth is much uglier, vicious on the street, technical in the ring.
Dulce et Decorum Est
By Wilfred Owen
Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.
Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—
Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie: Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.*
*Latin phrase is from the Roman poet Horace: “It is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country.”

Russia seems to be what remains of Tartaria: Who are Russians/Tartars?
After the Mud Flood, few believe there ever was a Tartaria inhabited by Tartars (remnants Tatars of the ancient empire of Great TARTARIA) who ate raw meat, steak tartare, a kind of pastrami (pastirma), after which was named a famous sauce and dish, so where is Udmurtia?
The Empire of Tartaria is seen on maps, or what remained of it after the Mud Flood.

What and where is Udmurtia?

This hat design is great for Gingers in the sun.
UDMURTIA is officially the Udmurt Republic of Russia located in Eastern Europe. It is administratively part of the Volga Federal District. Its capital is the City of Izhevsk. It was established as the Udmurt (until 1931 Votskaya) Autonomous Region on Nov. 4, 1920 [11].
THE NAME UDMURT comes from odo-mort ("meadow people"), where the first part represents the Permic root od or odo ("meadow, glade, turf, greenery"). This is supported by a document dated 1557, in which the Udmurts [12] are referred to as lugovye lyudi ("meadow people"), alongside the traditional Russian name otyaki [13]. The second part murt means "person" (cf. Komi mort, Mari mari).
It is probably an early borrowing from a Scythian language: mertä or martiya ("person, man," Sanskrit Manus or Manushya), which is thought to have been borrowed from the Indo-Aryan term maryá- ("man, mortal, one who is bound to die," cf. Old Indic márya or "young warrior," and marut, "chariot warrior," both connected specifically with horses and chariots [14].
The Indo-Europeanists T. Gamkrelidze and V. Ivanov associate this word with horse-riding Altaic tribes in the Bronze Age [15, 16].
On the other hand, in the Russian tradition, the name "meadow people" refers to the inhabitants of the left bank of a particular river. Recently, the most relevant is the version of V. V. Napolskikh and S. K. Belykh. They suppose that ethnonym was borrowed either from Indo-Iranian anta or "outside, close, last, edge, limit, boundary," or the Turkic-Altaic anda/ant "oath (in fidelity), comrade, friend" [17].
HISTORY started on Nov. 4, 1920, when the Votyak Autonomous Oblast was formed [3]. On Jan. 1, 1932, it was renamed the Udmurt Autonomous Oblast [18], which was then reorganized into the Udmurt ASSR on Dec. 28, 1934 [3].
During World War II, many industrial factories were evacuated from the Ukrainian SSR and western borderlands to Udmurtia. On Oct. 11, 1991, the Supreme Council of the Udmurt ASSR adopted a law according to which the Udmurt ASSR acquired a new name — the Udmurt Republic [19]. More: Udmurtia
