He is offered a chance to have his criminal history erased as payment for the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious.
The ensemble cast includes Ellen Page [now living as Elliot Page], Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, Dileep Rao, and Michael Caine. More
Buddhism in The Matrix goes deeper than most of us think (other than Wachowski Brothers). The Wachowskis built this film on Buddhist philosophy—but Neo (Keanu Reeves, who played the Buddha in Little Buddha) goes on a journey that reveals something most viewers miss: Taking the red pill isn'tenlightenment, it's just the beginning. This video explores what The Matrix gets RIGHT about Buddhism, what Neo gets WRONG about awakening, and why the ending is actually the most Buddhist part of the entire trilogy. HOW do we get out of this prison?
We are trapped in a prison of our own making. Realizing it does NOT free us. Letting go does. But how can we let go? We can't. It isn't an act of willpower. It's by seeing things as they are. Okay, okay, that makes sense! How are they? This is not a belief-system to believe. We must go in and see kalapas and cittas, particles and mind-moments, which means we must first cultivate samadhi (stillness, absorption) to purify and intensify the instrument of seeing (the mind). Then when we really know-and-see what is there, letting go happens by itself free of effort. The mind/heart lets go when it sees all things are marked by Three Universal Characteristics.
The allegory of the cave is presented by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work Republic (514a–520a, Book VII) to compare "the effect of education (παιδεία) and the lack of it on our nature."
It is written as a dialogue between Plato's brother Glaucon and his mentor Socrates. It is narrated by Socrates. The allegory is presented after the analogy of the Sun (508b–509c) and the analogy of the divided line (509d–511e).
In the allegory, Plato describes people who have spent their whole lives chained by their necks and ankles in front of an inner wall [a screen] with a view of the empty outer wall of the cave.
They observe the shadows [images] projected onto the outer wall by objects carried behind the inner wall by people who are invisible to the chained "prisoners" and who walk along the inner wall with a fire behind them, creating the shadows on the outer wall in front of the shackled prisoners.
The "sign bearers" pronounce the names of the objects, the sounds of which are reflected near the shadows and are understood by the prisoners as if they were coming from the shadows themselves.
The only reality for the prisoners of the cave are those shadows and sounds, which are of course only inaccurate representations of the real world. The shadows represent distorted and blurred copies of reality we perceive through our senses, while the objects under the Sun represent the true forms of objects that we can only perceive through reason [or directly through refined intuition].
Three higher levels exist: (1) natural science; (2) deductive mathematics, geometry, and logic; and (3) the theory of forms.
Socrates explains how a "philosopher" is like a prisoner now freed from the cave who comes to understand that the shadows on the wall are not the direct source of the images seen.
A philosopher aims to understand and perceive the higher levels of reality. However, the other inmates of the cave do not even want to escape their chains or leave their prison, for they know no better life [1].
Socrates remarks that this allegory can be paired with previous writings, namely the analogy of the Sun and the analogy of the divided line. More

Jesus reveals that Reality is a Simulation in 2,000-year-old gospel
(MorgueOfficial) Premiered March 1, 2025: Ever wonder if EVERYTHING we see could be an illusion (maya) -- a hologram, a simulation, a cosmic deepfake? Jesus figured it out 2,000 years ago. What’s even wilder is that modern physics is proving it now. Who's Gurdjieff?
What does science (physics) say this world is? - If we imagine "energy" as light, there's matter
The Big Bang? Why would nothing explode into all?
Where did Jesus the Nazarene (compassionate vegetarian Yeshua/Issa/Joshua, likely an Essene, who traveled to India during his missing 18 years) get these ideas? Dr. Ammon Hillman assures us it was through consumption of entheogenic mysteries (drugs, poisons, natural psychedelics likely different forms of DMT, The Spirit Molecule, and 5-MeO-DMT reptilian venom like toad Bufo.
Why would there be a connection between Christianity and Buddhism, which is five or more centuries older? Jesus spent time as a Buddhist monk, which helped him realize his divinity (deva, "light being," nature or potential), all of our divinities. To ever say one is "GOD" will get one unalived for ridiculed in society, but that is what the Christ, the Kristos, the Annointed One (smeared with entheogens, according to Dr. Hillman).
Whether Jesus said so or not, whether this Gnostic gospel is literally one historical figure's words, whether or not the figure into whose mouth these words are being put by the Gnostic Christians, Buddhism speaks this same way its "Higher Doctrine" (the Abhidhamma or the "Dharma/Doctrine in Ultimate Terms").
In conventional terms, "reality" (self/atta and the world/loka) is name-and-form (nama-rupa), body and mind, or composed of physical (corporeal) and mental (mind) components. But in ultimate terms, it is impersonal (anatta) materiality and mentality composed of kalapas (particles) and cittas/cetasikas (mind-moments and mental-concomitants).
This is all found alluded to in The Heart Sutra, the culmination of the Prajna Paramita or "Perfection of Wisdom" literature, reaching Sophia. The core of that text are explained very well in the Theravada school's "Five Aggregates clung to as self" teachings.
What are we? What is anything? The "self" or "essence" (figuratively, the "heart") of any thing is eightfold. But this eight is compacted into five. What are the Five Heaps or Groups of things?
form (this is fourfold, the Four Great Elements or maha-dhatus);
feelings
perceptions
mental formations
consciousness(es).
Why are they all plural? Isn't "consciousness" a thing? They are heaps, groups, piles, collections, aggregates. There isn't one but countless of them. Consciousness (vinnana) is not a solid "thing" but a fluid process, a stream of cittas and cetasikas, a stream of consciousness.
See the division? The first four are listed as just "form" (rupa or kaya, materiality or body). The second four are spelled out a little more. But the Buddha kept it brief because No. 4 is actually 50 different things, usually translated as "impulses" or "intentions" (cetanas), the way all the members of a village might be called by the village leader's name; that leader is not the only person in the village. Moreover, No. 5 is not one thing, cittas (mind-moments), but also includes cetasikas (mental concomitants). Feelings are not of one kind, but they are just called "feelings" (vedana). Perceptions, too, are not singular but of different kinds. All of these are explained in the texts and teaching, as these are only rough English translations of a very deep psychological terms. The purpose is not academic but extremely practical. Their purpose is liberation by wisdom. One must first purify (cleanse) the mind and intensify it so that insight meditation practices (satipatthanas) can have their intended effect: liberating insight, transcendental wisdom.
Did Jesus have any capacity to explain this? To whom could he have taught it, simple fishermen back home? Whatever he learned and realized in the Himalayas, at Hemis Gompa (a Tibetan lamasery visited by Russian Christian Nicolas Notovitch, who told the world all about the documented evidence he found there thanks to the abbot who recognized that Buddhism and Christianity at a very deep level were teaching the same thing.
We can make many distinctions, but Gnosticism accords very well, and Vedic/Brahminical Hinduism is not far off, as may also be said of Jainism. Sadly, it does not seem members of these other traditions realize the deep similarities. We might about the superficial, and we fail to grasp the deep truths. It would be possible to find correspondences between all the traditions. So many of the things that make no sense in Catholicism/Christianity, Islam, and Judaism (the Abrahamic religions) certainly do make sense in Hinduism and Buddhism and Jainism (the Dharmic religions).

Clearly the "real" world is not real, not flawless and flowing but glitching and sharing features with tapes, loops, reels, video, audio, warped and resetting like a computer program, a simulation of a real thing or dimension. When it's caught on film for all to see, able to be reviewed, then who can doubt it? Sure, there's chance, coincidence, eerie confluence, but that does not explain all of these glitches.
CRJ 900 carrying 80 passengers crashed at Toronto's Lester B Pearson Airport. About 17 were injured, but there were no fatalities. The commercial plane somehow ended up on its back, missing a wing, which leads us to ask three things: Why? How? And where's Pete Buttigieg? Oh, wait, new Pres. Trump made someone else secretary of transportation, after which these transport anomalies started.

(YouTube Movies & TV) A Glitch in the Matrix, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Rodney Ascher (Room 237, The Nightmare), is a multimedia documentary that dives into the great existential question: Are we in fact living in a simulation?
[Was the "simulation" called Samsara by the Buddha?]
Using a seminal 1977 speech from Philip K. Dick as a jumping-off point, Ascher presents compelling scientific evidence and philosophical musings through interviews with real people shrouded in digital avatars, as well as samples from cultural texts like Minecraft and The Matrix, to support the idea that the [world within this cakkavala, this prison planet, this Empire of the City, or] universe is a highly advanced computer simulation.
Part sci-fi mind-scrambler, part true-crime horror story, A Glitch in the Matrix is an eye-popping, open-minded, and highly entertaining journey to the limits of radical doubt that leaves no stone unturned.
The Dead Internet Theory
Whoa, I know I played Neo, but I feel my most important role in life was like playing Budda.
.
There is an online conspiracy, speculation, explanation, proposition (with evidence) that asserts that, due to a coordinated and intentional effort, the Internet now consists mainly of bot activitynot of real people.
Proponents of this "theory" (explanation of how things actually are) believe social bots were created intentionally to help manipulate algorithms and boost search results in order to manipulate consumer [6, 7], and no one can doubt that -- just as spam ruined email and junk calls ruined answering the phone when it's from an unfamiliar number.
Dog teleports in. Man's legs switch as he slips.
Some proponents of the theory accuse government agencies (like the CIA, NSA, NSC, DHS, DARPA, FBI, IRS, ISI, KGB, Meta, Google Corporation/Alphabet Inc., FB, Apple, AI, CCP, SpaceX, Amazon] and many more we do not know about) of using bots to manipulate public perception [2, 6].
The date given for this "death" is generally around 2016 or 2017 [2, 8, 9]. The Dead Internet Theory has gained traction because many of the observed phenomena are quantifiable -- one such quantifiable is increased bot traffic.
But the publicly available literature on the subject does not yet fully support the theory [2, 4, 10] but aspects of it are not in doubt.
This is where-when it becomes crucial to have read George Orwell's warning Nineteen Eighty-Four, to have a language or metaphor to refer to. In it the protagonist, Winston Smith (the Everyman), works in a cubicle at the Ministry of Truth manipulating reality, and all life is hounded by a "Telescreen." The screens are everywhere, always watching. Whether they are always all monitored, that is unknown, but one never knows when one is being watched. (Now, thanks to recording technology, we are always being watched not in real time but at any time authorities want to review the footage they are amassing for A.I. to go through). Sadly, most attempts to "rebel" are manipulated by police to preemptively (sting operation) undermine resistance, much as happened to the Occupy Movement, which was evaporated so that no one even seems to remember it now. It was big at the time. And the mainstream media was all for destroying it
Origins and spread
The Dead Internet Theory's exact origin is difficult to pinpoint. In 2021, a post titled "Dead Internet Theory: Most Of The Internet Is Fake" was published onto the forum Agora Road's Macintosh Cafe esoteric board by a user named "IlluminatiPirate" [11], claiming to be building on previous posts from the same board and from Wizardchan [2], and marking the term's spread beyond these initial imageboards [2, 12].
The conspiracy theory has entered public culture through widespread coverage and has been discussed on various high-profile YouTube channels [2]. [It has? This is the first we're hearing about it from a poorly done video by a man who can barely pronounce English words.]
It gained more mainstream attention with an article in The Atlantic titled "Maybe You Missed It, but the Internet 'Died' Five Years Ago" [2]. [Yes, thank you, we had missed it, though we suspected something was off, and it all started from the time we first surfed the Internet.] This article has been widely cited by other articles on the topic [13, 12]. There is a Hollywood legend that actor Keanu Reeves, that guy from The Matrix, Neo the Neophyte, starred in an earlier life in the role of the Buddha Shakyamuni. What was Hollywood thinking? Reeves can hardly speak his lines, which he must have gotten in writing and been given lots of time to memorize. Anyone who saw him in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure will have to wonder how such a skilled thespian would be chosen for the role of a lifetime.
A search of the archives reveals a film from 1993, Little Buddha, about an American tulku (important reincarnation of a rinpoche in Tibetan Hinduism/Mahayana Buddhism). Would Tibetan Vajrayana elites really choose to be reborn in the West (perhaps an interpretation of Amitabha's "Western Paradise") among whites?
They might. There is a long and harsh history (thanks, England) of colorism in and around India (Bharat), which was violently occupied, exploited, and colonized, forced to be a part of Rome II (the United Kingdom of the British colonial power) that set up a Raj (King) System and left behind a lot of DNA.
Suck it, boy, suck my tongue good. I'm Pope.
And the current Dalai Lama (#14), who is thought to be a or the reincarnation of Kwan Yin/Kwannon, the Bodhisattva of Compassion (Avalokiteshvara), has said that next time he may choose to be reborn as a woman outside of Tibet, in which case he says he wants to be "hot," presumably so more little boys will be willing to suck his tongue in a totally consensual and not at all creepy or perverted act of child grooming. The pontiff in the Vatican probably does the same thing must be the rationalization, and everyone knows the history of the imperial Holy Roman Catholic Church with little boys and erotic priests in sheep's clothing, so there's nothing weird going on.
The History of Colorism in India
(The Emissary) Oct. 1, 2024: Explore the fascinating journey of skin color (shade-ism) perception in India from ancient times to the modern day. This video delves into the genetic migrations that shaped Proto-India's diverse skin tones, ancient Indian (Maha Bharat) scriptures, and their positive views on dark skin, depictions of dark-skinned gods and heroes in Indian mythology, the impact of Islamic imperialism on beauty standards, European (mainly but not exclusively British) colonialism and its role in shaping colorism, the modern Indian perspective on skin color, and the push for change. Let's uncover how a culture that once worshipped dark-skinned (blue black) gods came to idolize fair skin and the ongoing journey toward embracing all shades of beauty in India.
