Should we really be pissing off guys? - Yes.
Women across Europe and Asia shouted their demands for equality, respect, and empowerment today to mark International Women's Day.

Protesters in Spain launched a 24-hour strike, and crowds of demonstrators filled the streets of Manila (Philippines), Seoul (South Korea), and New Delhi (India).
Stop modern slavery of women and kids!
Spanish women were staging dozens of protests across the country against the wage gap and gender violence.

In Madrid, a massive demonstration was planned for the evening. In Barcelona, protesters who disrupted traffic into the city center were pushed back by riot police.

In some countries, protests were more muted, however. [Women made it out to the street in a rare public demonstration in war-torn, US-destroyed, formerly Buddhist Afghanistan.]

International Women's Day is a public holiday in Russia, but opposition presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak was one of the few demonstrators in Moscow. More

Step Up Global Resistance! M8 International Women’s Strike
Today, Thursday, March 8th is International Women's Day. So women in 50 countries are calling for a global strike.

Join in global solidarity. March and rally at 4:00 PM at the Federal Building in DTLA 300 N. Los Angeles St.

There will be music, poetry, healing, Native American performances, and "Art & Action" Areas.

Liberty knows who the awful symptom is.
Join sisters around the world in global noise-making wherever we are at 6:00 PM!

Speakers include community leaders, activists, Dolores Huerta, and more. We -- females joined by male allies -- are on strike for:
  • labor rights
  • living wage for all including mothers and other caregivers
  • full social services
  • environmental justice
  • an anti-racist anti-imperialist feminism...

Why are they mad at me? I love the ladies!
Let's strike against: sexual abuse, domestic and state (military) violence, poverty, discrimination, criminalization of survival, environmental devastation, and war.

All are welcome! WEAR PURPLE! Bring signs, banners, noise-makers! Unify for a caring society. This is feminism of the 99%. More
