Where do Elon Musk's engineers and inventors steal their ideas, India circa 1990? (rense.com)
Regime Change! We've had it with both of them.
Is there a connection between human turmoil and weather chaos? Do we inadvertently impact our environment, stirring storms, droughts, plagues, and famines by our collective karma ("mass actions," such as group meditation or group prayer or rioting or demonstrating or going to see the Greek play Lysistrata)? Of course, the powers-that-be launch and manipulate many of these things, but we may also be having an impact without realizing it. We and our environment are not two separate things but are interdependent. A peaceful uprising might lead to peace in the skies, seas, and shaky grounds. The Buddha's Agganna Sutta certainly suggests we are always interacting and interdepending inside and out. Protests to continue: handsoff2025.com. Occupy.com is not real news.

Bernie Sanders and AOC: “Fighting Oligarchy” with People Power
(Laura Flanders & Friends) April 4, 2025: Stay informed and engaged! Catch captivating weekly episodes that dive deep into the heart of US economy, culture, and politics: @lauraflandersandfriends.
Can the Democratic party reinvent itself? In this exclusive one-on-one interview with Bernie Sanders, recorded during the senator’s “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, he sits down with Laura Flanders in Las Vegas to discuss what he hopes people will take away from his rallies and how we can all push back against oligarchy.
Senator Sanders’ message is especially resonating with Americans at this moment, as record-breaking crowds turn out for his tour [or anything that is anti-Trump and Elon — with many first-time activists in the audience.
What is driving this phenomenon? Laura Flanders & Friends hit the road to find out, traveling from Kenosha to Warren and Las Vegas. Along the tour, Flanders spoke with veterans, retirees, and many concerned citizens. She also caught speeches from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, and sat in on a town hall meeting with Nevada Congresswoman Dina Titus.
Will 2025 turn out to be the year that Americans remake democracy?
“I did 28 years in the army. I maintained an apolitical front at all times... I think we're sliding into tyranny, and I took an oath to support and defend the constitution, and I'm going to do that whether in or out of uniform.” - Terrance Deuel
“We are at a point where the wealthiest people in the world, like Elon Musk and all the Republicans enabling him, are turning to loot what is left of Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security to bankroll even deeper tax cuts and sweetheart contracts for themselves, their fellow billionaires, and their corporations. And our political system right now is ill prepared for this abuse of power.” - Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
“I think the message of the moment is to understand that the vast majority of the American people do not think that we give tax breaks to the rich and cut social security or veterans programs. They don't. And our job is to work as hard as we can. Part of what this tour is about is to get them involved in their own local communities.” - Bernie Sanders

What happens when "YOU" don't exist? The Buddha's most radical TRUTH
(Buddha's Wisdom) April 6, 2025: π WHAT IF “YOU” WERE NEVER REALLY THERE?
What happens when the “you” you’ve always identified with suddenly disappears?
(Forget you. What about me? What happens when the “I” I’ve always identified with suddenly disappears and, what’s worse, I realize it was never really there to begin with?)
According to the Buddha, this isn’t a sci-fi scenario. — It’s the key to the deepest freedom a living being can experience.

09:40 RELATIONSHIPS WITHOUT A "ME"
13:04 THE PRACTICAL REALITY OF NO-SELF
16:59 THE ULTIMATE LIBERATION
21:52 THE COSMIC JOKE BUDDHA DISCOVERED
This video explores the Buddhist concept that all things are already impersonal and there is, ultimately speaking, no-self (anatta), what it feels like to let go of the illusion of identifying with this and that (form, feelings, perceptions, formations, consciousness aka the "Five Aggregates clung to as self"), and why letting go of clinging to that illusion of “you” is the most liberating thing one can ever do.
But how to let go? We can’t “do” it, but it can be done. It’s easy: see things for what they really are (ultimate mentality and materiality, nama-rupa, cittas and kalapas through insight meditation as taught by the great living Buddhist master Pa Auk Sayadaw). DISCOVER:

Los Angeles and Pasadena had massive turnouts for Hands Off! April 5th peaceful demonstrations and protests, with many clever signs and a great show of solidarity. That is only two of over 1,000 simultaneous actions across the country and other parts of the world. Trump is launching a trade war, and no one is happy about it.
Demonstrators have gathered in cities around the US in recent days and weeks to participate in "Tesla Takedown" protests of varying sizes.
Hands Off! our government and veterans' benefits, Trump and Musk
Meanwhile, some Tesla owners have said they have faced insults or vandalism amid the Musk criticism. Participants of the protests have called for a boycott of the EV giant in response to Musk's involvement with the Trump administration and DOGE's efforts to decrease the size of the federal workforce.
The "Tesla Takedown" effort started on BlueSky, a competitor to Musk's X platform, and now has a dedicated website. The site calls for Tesla owners to sell their vehicles and stock in an effort to "stop Musk now."
The website's organizer (teslatakedown.com), "Bill & Ted" actor and filmmaker Alex Winter, wrote in a Rolling Stone op-ed that demonstrations have happened at over 100 Tesla showrooms and other locations. Tesla owner and shareholder David Abrams told Business Insider he's heard about multiple protests but wasn't aware of the "takedown" effort specifically. More
What to know about Saturday's nationwide "Hands Off!" anti-Trump protests

.
My PR firm said US would love me. It's shocking
Imagine a map of at least 1,000 Anti-Trump and Musk events being planned across all 50 states for Saturday, April 5, 2025.
It's real and interactive (created by Kavya Beheraj for Axios) and shows a significant concentration in the Northeast, West Coast, and Rust Belt as part of the new Hands Off! Movement (handsoff2025.com). Events planned outside the U.S. are not shown.
We have to arrest vandals who did these things and deport them to prison or capitalism is at risk.
.
The nationwide Anti-President Trump Movement "Hands Off!" is expected to be the largest single-day protest this Saturday since the Orange Menace entered office. Why it matters:
I'm here to Make Israel Great Again (MIGA).
The Trump administration's wide-reaching and ground-shaking policies have mobilized a varied cross section of Americans affected by political, economic, social and legal changes.
"This is not just corruption," the Hands Off! website says. "This is not just mismanagement. This is a hostile takeover."
By the numbers: More than 1,100 rallies, visibility events, and meetings were scheduled in all 50 states as of Wednesday (April 3, 2025) afternoon.
Organizers said they had gotten nearly 250,000 RSVPs as of March 29.
R'n'r for freedom? Support brave journalism
The latest: White House Garden tours scheduled for Saturday were postponed to Sunday in anticipation of D.C. protests, First Lady Melania Trump said on Thursday.
State of play: Protesters are rallying against several Trump administration policies, including its handling of Social Security benefits, layoffs across the federal workforce, attacks on consumer protections and anti-immigrant policies and attacks on transgender people.
The protests are also against Elon Musk's involvement in the federal government via DOGE — after he's already faced a wave of [vandalism and] demonstrations at Tesla dealerships worldwide via the #TeslaTakedown movement.
The Hands Off! demonstrations will occur at state capitals, federal buildings, congressional offices, and city centers.
Dozens of advocacy organizations are partnering to support Saturday's action, including the Center for LGBTQ Economic Advancement & Research, Declaration for American Democracy, the Human Rights Campaign, Indivisible and Planned Parenthood.
Two out of two women agree, these sh*ts suck
What they're saying: "This is a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history," the movement's website said. "Trump, Musk, and their billionaire cronies are orchestrating an all-out assault on our government, our economy, and our basic rights — enabled by Congress every step of the way." Our life is easier when we let go and let the Universe take control
(Solace Fox) Ever notice that when we stop trying to control every detail, life actually becomes easier? Most people resist letting go, but surrendering to the Universe can unlock surprising peace, clarity, synchronicity, and effortless living.
In this video, discover the power of trusting the Universe, releasing control, and letting life naturally unfold [in accordance with the results of our past deeds, our karma]. Letting go isn't weakness — it's wisdom. Watch until the end to understand exactly how to allow the Universe to work for us.
Mindfulness means dispassionate observation for clarity rather than involvement, bias, fear.
.
It is good to let go, and we may all know it on some level. But how to do it, that is the question. The Buddha advocated the supreme importance of renunciation (nekkhamma), internal letting go. We do not all need to become monastics, hermits, or recluses, but we all need to unclutch, get a little distance and perspective, and stop being so clingy. Easier said than done. How to do?
There is a way: mindfulness. What is mindfulness? It is bare awareness, vigilance, watchfulness of what is really there, without evaluation, without embellishment, without distortion, without making stories or relating to what we are seeing.
Real mindfulness is only possible with calm and serenity, as happens as the natural result of the meditative absorptions. When we can pay that much mindful attention, things reveal themselves. They are nothing to cling to, nothing to be attached to. We can "let go" all we want with our brains/minds, but that will never do. The heart has to let go. When we see things as they really are, there is no need to make an effort to let go. The letting go happens naturally. "Clear seeing" is called vipassana in Buddhism, usually translated as "insight meditation" (satipatthana). It is a systematic practice of emerging from the absorption, temporarily purified, and attending to four things one after the other: body, feelings, mind, and mind-objects. They++ are all explained in the Maha Satipatthana Sutta or the "Fourfold Setting Up of Mindfulness Discourse."
So letting go is possible, but it will never happen by itself. The mind/heart in its present condition distorts and perverts everything until things seem permanent, capable of fulfilling/satisfying us, and personal. When we see them for what they really are (impermanent, disappointing, and impersonal), the heart lets go as when a feather fall into a fire and curls bac. The Truth will set us free...if we ever bother to clean the lens of the mind to see things, even for a moment, as they truly are. Otherwise, we're just believing and disbelieving and never really making any progress.
Why do punk rockers feel drawn to Buddhism? It might be the anti-authority (as suggested by LA'sWasted Youth in their anthem "F Authority") stance of the Buddha who stood up to the religions of his day or the no heroes Zen ethos they imagine. Both modern punk and the ancient Dhamma were rebellious movements. Maybe they've read the Kalama Sutra and like the F.U. attitude they imagine it embodies.
I did it my way, claims Sex Pistol Sid Vicious as if he were Frank Sin'
Buddhism (the Awakened One's Dharma) doesn't really say "F.U.," but it does give license to free inquiry and questioning rather than blind faith or devotion to idols and authoritative sources. In the end, it's a kind of shamanism (direct experience) over temple-bound priests (intermediaries).
What is real rebellion and freedom?
The Buddha did not ask people to "believe" or worship him but to come see the Truth for themselves. Enlightenment (bodhi, awakening) is open to any person willing to embark on a quest to directly know-and-see. This is a personally verifiable path. There is no waiting until we die to see if what we placed faith in panned out. No.
This path-of-practice (not belief) is about the here and now; it is of immediate benefit, demonstrable: With this, that is; when this is not, that is not. What? Everything. Why? Because everything is Dependently Originated. So if we know-and-see become full of knowledge and wise on the path to Freedom, it is because we have practiced this and left that behind. If suffering (things sucking and disappointing) is a problem (as it is for most living beings), there is a solution right NOW in this moment.
The Art of Punk - Crass - The Art of Dave King and Gee Vaucher - Art + Music - MOCAtv
(The Museum of Contemporary Art) MOCA is a pretty arthouse in ugly Los Angeles. Talk about crass, this is talk about the British anarcho-punk pioneers Crass, the musical collective who back the amazing Eve Libertine, Joy De Vivre, and Steve Ignorant.
The Art of Punk - Dead Kennedys - The Art of Winston Smith - Art + Music - MOCAtv
(The Museum of Contemporary Art) June 25, 2013: In this episode, The Art of Punk hits head on with the art behind the legendary Dead Kennedys. From the chaotic, surreal, madness of collage mixed with political folly that blazed their LPs and gig flyers to the razor edge ultra simplistic four simple line DK symbol.
In San Francisco, MOCAtv corners founding Dead Kennedys member Jello Biafra (vocalist and frontman), who discusses his own warped inspiration for the many album sleeves and band posters created in the early days of the group.
Back in Los Angeles, MOCAtv talks with pop surrealist artist Tim Biskup about how the DKs affected and twisted his own young mind, and Steve Olson graces the show with a few words of wisdom.
Remember our Holiday in Buddhist Cambodia after the US turned it to hell?
Finally, it's time to meet up with master collage artist and designer of the DK symbol, Winston Smith, in his North Beach art studio and talk about how he was drawn into the early Bay Area punk scene -- and his long and creative artistic relationship with the Dead Kennedys and their smart frontman and clever vocalist Jello Biafra.
Created, directed, and executive produced by writer/author of Fucked Up + Photocopied Bryan Ray Turcotte (Kill Your Idols), and Bo Bushnell (The Western Empire), The Art of Punk traces the roots of the punk movement and the artists behind the iconic logos of punk bands such as Black Flag (Raymond Pettibon), The Dead Kennedys (Winston Smith), and Crass (Dave King).
In addition to profiling artists, the series includes intimate interviews with former band members, notable artists, and celebrities who have been heavily influenced by the art of punk rock including Jello Biafra, Tim Biskup, Scott Campbell, Chuck Dukowski, bassist Flea (FEAR, RHCP), Steve Olson, Penny Rimbaud, Henry Rollins, Owen Thornton, and Gee Vaucher.
The filmmakers Bryan Ray Turcotte and Bo Bushnell take a unique approach to exploring the rich histories of these three seminal punk legends by focusing on the influential imagery and seeking out stories that have not been told yet through the artwork, which is integral to the importance and influence of each band.
On June 11, 2013, The Art of Punk debuts on MOCAtv with an episode on Raymond Pettibon and the artwork of Black Flag. The stories behind the art of the Dead Kennedys will debut on June 18, and June 25 will see the release of the Crass episode, all of which will be available at: mocatv.
