Dia de Los Muertos, Hollywood (live stream)

LA does Day of the Dead bigger than Mexico.
KPFK is broadcasting live on the air and on YouTube from the 20th anniversary Dia De Los Muertos Festival at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in L.A., which has nearly 60,000 people visit throughout the day.

Headlining this is year is the Grammy Award-winning group from Mexico City Cafe Tacvba. There are dozens more musical groups, Aztec dancers, award-winning altar (ofrenda) makers, son jarocho, mariachi, and delicious indigenous foods.


Today's broadcast kicks off at 4:00 PM with two hours of music from the hosts of Canto Tropical. Then at 6:00 PM L.A.'s Pacifica Radio goes live from the Hollywood, broadcasting until 12:00 AM. Info: hollywoodforever.com.
