The Vagina Museum's fanny-tastic first exhibition is opening tomorrow and we're beyond excited for you to see it. Here's what you need to know when planning your visit!
What will I see?
Half the world has one, but myths about vaginas, vulvas and the gynecological anatomy are everywhere. Our first exhibition will take a look at these myths, why people believe them -- and set the record straight.
The Vagina Museum is a small space, and you won't see any precious artifacts or naked people wandering about. (We get asked this quite frequently!) Expect bright colors, educational content, a briefcase of horrors, and other interesting things which might challenge long-held beliefs. Oh yeah, and there's a big glittery tampon.
AMAZING! I'm coming to visit this weekend!
We can't wait! The Vagina Museum will open its doors at 10:00 am on 16th November, 2019. On Sunday, we're open from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. During opening weekend we'll be selling these very limited edition badges to tell the world that you came first.
Please note that opening weekend may be quite busy and there might be a queue. Cliterati members will get priority entry -- just flash your membership card.
Oh no, I can't make it this weekend!
That's all right! Muff Busters: Vagina Myths and How to Fight Them is open until 16th February 2020, so come at your convenience.
When are you open?
Monday: Sat: 10:00 am-6:00 pm
Sunday: 11:00am-6:00 pm
Xmas day: Open every day except
No! Just like you don't have to be a dinosaur to visit the Natural History Museum, you don't have to have a vagina to visit the Vagina Museum. Everyone deserves to celebrate vaginas!
Can I buy alcohol?
We only serve alcohol during selected evening events. We've got a diverse and exciting program of events for you to enjoy, including talks, theatre and socials. Here's what's on.
Do you have TripAdvisor?
Yes we do! However, due to their "family friendly" filters, you can't mention anything you've seen in the museum, or even the name of the museum, so please be creative with your language when leaving a five-star review! If they reject your review, please forward their correspondence to us; we're collecting it!
How can I support you?
The Vagina Museum is a charity. We were able to open our doors due to the generosity of our crowdfunders who collectively donated £50,000. When you visit the museum, you'll see a donation box in the reception area: please consider making a gift to help us keep delivering exhibitions and events in our home. Proceeds from our gift shop also support the museum, so if you see something you fancy, please buy it! You can also donate online.
We're really looking forward to seeing you. This project has been a long time in the making and we're delighted to finally show the world our first exhibition. Thank you for being with us, right at the beginning.
