WHAT HAPPENED? It was the biggest parade ever with countless Monsanto [now Bayer Corporation] corn tortillas being thrown in appreciation of the freak flag, guys in drag, and all the wit, irony, and anti-Israel sentiment one would want in an anti-mainstream flotilla of nonsense. If only Republicans could have seen it. It was not even Democrat-friendly. This is an event for Greens, Peoples Party petitioners, Independents (not LaRouchian Libertarian types), and those willing to speak truth to power. Not that most people are paying attention. If there's one this this event is not is a Grand Tournament of Roses "Rose Parade," though it took place on the exact same spot, a stone's throw from the world-famous Rose Bowl. The after party was at the Old Towne Pub with a band headed up by one of the Hair: The Musical actors and strange vehicles, the rainbow clad, Asian gawkers, and just about the clearest skies after the rains one could ever wish for in Los Angeles.

Neo-Nazi marchers descended on Madison, Wisconsin [nowhere near Pasadena or Columbus], for a twisted weekend rally, prompting swift condemnation from state and local pols and University of Wisconsin-Madison officials. A group of approximately 20 people [angry white guys] dressed in red and black and masks while waving large [swastika] flags and making the [old] Nazi salute ["Heil, Hitler"] made their way from State Street near the UW-Madison campus to the state capitol Saturday, cops [who were on hand to make sure no one stopped them or stood in their way] said [proving that racist white supremacy is still alive and well in the heart of the USA]. (Modern Vegan) LOS ANGELES, California - This is our Vegan Fashion Week 2019 vlog. We were VIP attendees of the first ever Los Angeles Vegan Fashion Week and experienced a first look at select pieces created by cruelty-free designers from around the world.
The show featured avant-garde designs including faux leathers made from pineapple fibers and apple skins to other items made with sustainable materials and practices, such as natural dyes and upcycled and recycled materials.
We also had a spur-of-the-moment interview with Jane Velez-Mitchell (aka Jane Unchained) and world-famous vegan DJ Moby. It was an amazing time, and we were so excited for the noticeable change that's coming to high fashion!

P-54 gives birth to 3 mountain lion kittens that may bring much needed genetic diversity to LA's Santa Monica Mountains
Murder kittens are so cute!
Mountain lion P-54 has given birth to what scientists believe to be her first litter, three [murder cat] kittens that may bring genetic diversity to the area, officials announced June 2, 2020. National Park Service (NPS) researchers found the litter after noticing GPS locations.... More than four months ago, she was “located” on GPS with P-63, the only collared adult male in the mountains, for two days.
Biologists found three healthy kittens: two males, which were named P-82 and P-83, and one female, P-84.
Murder claws kill more creatures than imagined
The scientists tagged the trio, estimated to be 19 days old at the time, and took DNA samples for genetic testing, NPS said.
The litter is thought to be the first fathered by P-63, which researchers captured and collared with his mother in Feb. 2018 north of the 101 Freeway in the Simi Hills of northern LA. He was about 15 months old at the time.More

Maybe not all natural but a devi.
While lots of young girls aspire to look just like their Barbies, which is extremely unrealistic, this gal actually did it. Val claims that everything about her from her tiny waist to her extremely large eyes are "all natural," aside from her chest. Whether that's true or not, who can know, but we do know her workout routine is brutal. She hates being called "Barbie." She is a devi, a celestial "shining one," a hybrid human-alien (like Semjase Devi), who loves beauty, spirituality, and attention. From 27 Bizarre Women You Won’t Believe Actually Exist

The feminist writer Camille Paglia says the former country singer Swift[ler] -- with her "girl squad" -- perpetuates elitism and reminds Paglia of "fascist blondes."
Camille Paglia has written a scathing critique of Taylor Swift, referring to the singer as an “obnoxious Nazi Barbie” whose “twinkly persona is such a scary flashback to the fascist blondes who ruled the social scene during my youth.”
Is he pointing at me? OMG, OMG!
Paglia, known for enduring feminist works such as Sexual Personae, criticized the singer for perpetuating elitism and undermining female empowerment by surrounding herself with a group of girls who were simply “performance props.”

Nat'l Zocialism: more cabbage for the grabbage
Can group selfies advance women’s goals? In an essay for The Hollywood Reporter, the famed feminist Camille Paglia urges social media packs to skip this:
Skip the "tittering, tongues-out mugging of Taylor Swift" -- whose "twinkly persona is such a scary flashback to the fascist blondes [Nazi Barbies] who ruled the social scene during my youth" -- and study the "productive dynamic of male bonding."
This story first appeared in the 2015 Women in Entertainment issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine.

Girl squads were a hashtag summer craze that may have staying power.
Blogs and magazines featured intricate star charts of the constellations of celebrity gal pals clustering around Taylor Swift, Cameron Diaz, Lena Dunham, or Tina Fey.
Names appearing on the shifting roster of girl squads include Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Selena Gomez, Willow Smith, Kendall Jenner, Sofia Richie, Chloe Sevigny, and Karlie Kloss.
Hot models Gigi Hadid and Cara Delevingne bob and weave through several groups. Adele joined the club in November when she dined out in NY with Emma Stone and varsity squad player Jennifer Lawrence.

"Squad" as a pop term emerged from 1990s hip hop (Hit Squad, Def Squad). It once had a hard, combative street edge, but today it's gone girly and a bit bourgeois. Social media outlets are its primary engines.More
