'Melania' FLOPS, posters vandalized across LA

Melania Trump doc ads vandalized, forcing reroute of buses | FOX 11 Los Angeles
INDECLINE (via Storyful) vandals depict Melania defecating on American flag

I'll sell you my Eastern European girlfriend, Don. - Did you two bang? - Did I, no, no, she's pure.

But you're dead, right, Epstein? - No, no, I faked my suicide and am back on my Pedo Island.

I feel so ugly compared to rich pro Melania

He is so disgusting and stupid.
(pale blue wave) I stopped her in the park, and what she told me broke my heart. So I photographed her portrait.

If "ugly" is a feeling (emotion), is beauty? Is self-confidence beautiful and doubt revolting? Personality is incomprehensibly important so that even dwarves, Elephant Men, Beasts, and other hideous creatures are beautiful to some Beauties out there. Beauty is only skin deep. And deep inside the skin are very lovely things -- charming, comely, funny, rich! What is anyone after other than being loved, loving, feeling protected and comforted, understood and accommodated?

beauty, sadness, loneliness, photography, park, parable of touching a woman, dating, heartbreak, marriage, the four bases of popularity

The third film, The Decline of Western Civilization Part III (1998), chronicles the gutter punk lifestyle of homeless teenagers in the late 1990s. More

The Psychedelic Sangha

Welcome home, Misfit Seekers! TPS holds space for Psychedelic Buddhism. TPS promotes a non-sectarian and non-traditional approach to Buddhism that values the spiritual efficacy of psychedelics on the Path, not to mention great music and art.

The Psychedelic Sangha was cofounded in 2018 as a spiritual refuge for Buddhistic Psychonauts and Psychedelic Buddhists — “misfit seekers” — looking for a safe place to practice.

The practitioner-based sangha (“spiritual community”) is oriented around a threefold approach to holding space: Incubation, Invocation, and Integration — what has been dubbed as the Third Eye System © 2023.

psychedelicsangha.org
Incubation is Step One and refers to all sober preparatory events, such as Morning Meditation on IG Live (Monday-Friday) or weekly Sunday Sit series on Zoom. Also included in this category is the Speaker Series and upcoming conference, Psychedelic Buddhism 2024.

Invocation is Step Two and includes “dose-friendly” events, such as the Bardo Bath Series, Psychedelic Severance, Vibing Vajrasattva, and Museum Meets (aka “Museum Dose”). These events are designed to provide a safe space for exploration, with onsite risk/harm reduction facilitators.

Integration is Step Three, the final step: reintegrate the pieces through a sober peer-to-peer sharing circle and group sit. There is no therapy, just community validation and a safe space to be heard.

TPS also offers a comprehensive 6-8-week private cohort program with a carefully designed course of study and practice that guides practitioners through all three phases of this Third Eye System. The next private cohort is starting fall-winter 2024.

“The challenge is to imagine and then create a communal structure that works, not in theory, but in practice. We must be ready to learn from whatever historical alternative models already exist: from the noncelibate yogic tradition of the Tibetan Nyingma school to the Japanese system of hereditary priests, and to proceed free from attachment to the outcome. We also need to learn from history’s mistakes and work to create a sangha that is no longer ridden with the sectarianism, dogmatism, authoritarianism, and sexism endemic to many Asian traditions.”
Stephen Batchelor, Confession of a Buddhist Atheist

“It is possible the next Buddha will not take the form of [a heroic] individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community, a community practicing understanding and lovingkindness, a community practicing mindful living. And the practice can be carried out as a group, as a city, as a nation.”

What's wrong with the "Barbie" film?

(PragerU/Amala Ekpunobi Unapologetic) ALERT: This movie review (character assassination) is by a devotee/employee of insufferable, ever-pontificating, moralist, arch-conservative, rightwing, pro-capitalist, pro-patriarchy, pro-Bible, Jewish-Christian syncretistic radio host Dennis Prager!

As a trans person, I liked Barbie, Dennis-puppet.
But the tear down is fun to watch, and it's the only person giving out the plot points beyond the first ten minutes of the film, which are completely misleading because the movie takes a turn into woke screed, by some accounts. Little girls won't know what's going on, but their parents should. Is this what we want kids learning? Probably. Good work, Greta Gerwig and partner Noah Baumbach. Or is it? Will it cause a backlash from Republicans, Christian fundamentalists, Jews for Jesus, and fellow rightwing hate-radio types?

Barbie: "Wokest" movie of the year?
So I watched the new Barbie movie this weekend and, oh boy, do I have thoughts. Did the movie stay true to Barbie’s original wholesome message that “girls can do anything”? Or did it end up as two hours of woke feminist propaganda?

Why KIDS should not watch Barbie
Margot Robbie was the third choice beauty.
(Films Express) July 1, 2023. Let's talk about why kids should not watch Barbie. Make sure to watch the whole way through because there are details. The first ten minutes (and all of the trailer) is nothing like the rest of the film. It's a trap. It's all over woke and down with the Patriarchy. Down with it. But since when is the Patriarchy Ken (Ryan Gosling) and his weird, possibly gay friend Alan (Michael Cera)? With Kate McKinnon as "Weird Barbie" and Will Ferrell as the boss at Mattel Corporation or some such. #filmsexpress #barbie #margotrobbie

Alan meets Weird Barbie
(JoBlo Movie Clips) July 13, 2023. Alan (Michael Cera) is probably gay, and Ken is maybe gay but a sexist jerk Barbie (Margot Robbie) is tired of being oppressed by. To live in "Barbie Land" is to be a perfect being in a perfect fantasy place -- unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken. Or Weird Barbie is talking to you. Also starring America Ferrera.

Bad "Barbie" movie with Piers Morgan

"An assault on not just Ken but all men": Piers Morgan slams Barbie
(Sky News Australia) July 3, 2023. Sky News Australia Host Piers Morgan has slammed Barbie over the lack of male characters and the vacuousness of Ken.

“There are a number of Barbie characters in the movie, one plays President Barbie, one plays Doctor Barbie...however all the male characters in Barbie world are simply called Ken,” he said.

“So it’s pretty clear where this movie is going; this is an assault on not just Ken but all men.”

Josh likes it, sort of, well, not so much, finding it too "woke"

My Native American roots: Cherokee (audio)

Sarah and Amy Vowell, Host Ira Glass (This American Life, Episode #716, "Trail of Tears," Sept. 4, 2020); Xochitl (gabrielenoindians.org), Ashley Wells, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

The "Trail of Tears" runs from the doorsteps of Cherokee to their graves along the way to OK.

What would archeology look like from space?
For the long holiday weekend, let’s take a road trip through U.S. history.

This is a moment when as Americans we are tearing down our racist monuments and rethinking how to address the shameful parts of America’s past.

Sarah on Thanksgiving
So let’s return to a story from the early days of the radio show This American Life that took that on, in a vivid and complicated way.

Sarah Vowell (shown at left) and her blond twin sister Amy -- "Injun" and "Swede," as they were called growing up in the South -- headed out on the road to retrace their Cherokee roots on the Georgia/Oklahoma Trail of Tears.

It was the route their ancestors took when they were expelled from their own land by greedy Whites. They reflect on the question, What are we supposed to do with the mix of good and bad that is this country? Details + AUDIO

"Terms and Conditions May Apply" (trailer)

Pfc. Sandoval, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly; Cullen Hoback (vimeo.com)
The "may" is a courtesy. They do apply. Snowden reveals the secret documentation.

(Trailer) Terms and Conditions May Apply, directed by Cullen Hoback, 2013 documentary about contractual terms of user-service agreements used on spy-friendly sites like Facebook, Google, Linkedin, Twitter, Snapchat, and so on. Mark Zuckerberg appears in the film.

Admit it: no one really reads the endless terms and conditions connected to every website we visit, phone call we make, or app we download. No one can. But every day, billion-dollar corporations are spying and learning more about our interests, our friends and family, our finances, and our secrets...

I f'd the country, it's true, maybe even the world. But I made a billion doing it, mo-fo's! Selling out to the CIA, NSA, FBI, and MIC pays big. Ask Jobs, ask Gates, ask... Oh, I've said too much. See you online...even if you don't see me seeing you, lol! Don't watch The Social Network.

Not only are they selling our information to the highest bidder, they are freely sharing it with the government (NSA, CIA, DHS, Pentagon, FBI, member corporations, or any of the many arms of the military-industrial complex). And you "agreed" to it when you clicked SUBMIT.

With fascinating examples and so-unbelievable-that-they're-almost-funny facts, filmmaker Cullen Hoback exposes what governments and corporations (together referred to as the military-industrial complex) are legally taking from us every day -- making the future of both privacy and civil liberties uncertain.

I agree. Spy on me: NSA malware via my Facebook (Ryan Gallagher/The Intercept)

From whistleblowers and investigative journalists to zombie fan clubs and Egyptian dissidents, this disquieting exposé demonstrates how everyone has incrementally "opted-in" to a real-time surveillance state, click by click. However, it also explains what, if anything, can be done about it.
CULLEN HOBACK grew up in L.A. At 17 he started his own public access late night TV show but was kicked off the air for making offensive statements that angered some viewers. Hoback enjoyed sharing his perspective on strange and unfamiliar topics. In college he produced short films and a feature when digital cameras first came out. At 21, he made “Freedom State,” a comedy that captures the daily life of individualists who live “on the edge of the world.” Another narrative feature he made was “Friction,” a film about summer camp members who enact a scripted tale as the line between utopia and entity blur. In 2007, he was granted a budget to direct the LARPing documentary Monster Camp, which featured social outcasts coming together to create a community where magic is real and identity is limited only by imagination. In 2011, Hoback came back to the screens to create his documentary “Terms and Conditions May Apply.”

"Safety Not Guaranteed" (trailer)

Wisdom Quarterly;

From the producers of "Little Miss Sunshine" comes a great summer movie for 2012. When an unusual classified ad inspires three cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it, they discover a mysterious eccentric. Kenneth is a likable but paranoid supermarket clerk, who believes he's solved the riddle of time travel, and he intends to depart again soon. Together with snarky indie Aubrey Plaza as a magazine intern, they embark on a hilarious, smart, and unexpectedly heartfelt journey that reveals how far believing can take us. It also features Mark Duplass, Jake Johnson, Karan Soni, and Derek Connolly.

The REAL "Men in Black" (video)

Wisdom Quarterly; Nick Redfern interview with George Noory on CoasttoCoastAM.com
NOTE: This post is a facsimile. It has been reconstructed after the original was mysteriously erased as it was being updated to include Redfern's appearance on C2C today (May 26, 2012). If any reader has a copy of the original, please send it in via the comments section.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones continue the popular series with MIB 3. This movie is obvious comedic fiction, but it is based on fact. If Hollywood makes movies and claims that they are nonfiction, simply shouting "Conspiracy theory!" is enough for people to dismiss them out of hand. But if they are made as fiction, whether comedic or dramatic, we allow ourselves to "suspend disbelief" and thereby see the big picture with the details changed. Film writers have to derive their inspiration from somewhere. Why not from defectors, whistle blowers, and truth tellers involved in the military-industrial complex (MIB)? Unfortunately, doing so opens us up to the very real possibility of being fed disinformation and PsyOps. But this only means we must keep our minds open rather than our eyes and ears closed.

() Nick Redfern June 2011 on C2C

The MIC is not the main source of MIB
The mistake promoted by the series is the view that MIB are simply government agents working for a secret agency. The MIC impersonates MIB to intimidate witnesses. Those attempting to expose UFO phenomena, the paranormal, free energy physics, forbidden archeology, ancient technology, cryptid bipedal apes (Sasquatch, Yeti, Bigfoot), or medical discoveries that threaten pharmaceutical industry profits.  For instance, anyone who discloses being in possession of physical evidence is likely to be visited. Under duress they are made to recant or participate in being discredited. Material evidence is often confiscated ("borrowed for analysis") never to be returned. Where did they go? "I gave them to government agents who promised they'd give them back." In this way claimants are undermined. They are without evidence to confirm their claims. But that is a fraction of what is going on. The REAL MIB are thought to be extraterrestrials, time travelers, and/or "adjusters" (as depicted in the "The Adjustment Bureau" and the recent A Princess of Mars remake "John Carter") with very creepy, otherworldly, or unmistakably superhuman powers.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL RECAPTURED VERSION OF THE MYSTERIOUSLY ERASED POST.

Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones continue the series with MIB III. A great deal of truth is blended with comedic fiction. Film writers have to take their inspiration from somewhere: Why not the military-industrial complex (MIC) and its defectors, whistle blowers, and first hand witnesses? If the story is told as nonfiction, we scream "Conspiracy theory!" and dismiss the claims out of hand. But when presented as fiction, whether comedic or dramatic, we suspend disbelief long enough to begin to understand the larger picture. Unfortunately, this allows for the introduction of disinformation and PsyOps. But that is why the mind needs to remain open rather than the eyes and ears closed.

MIB: more than the Military-Industrial Complex
Investigator and author Nick Redfern (blog) explains the complexity, pointing out that the movie only plays up one angle: MIB are secretive government agents. There are no doubt such agents who conceal the truth about UFOs, the occult, paranormal and supernatural events, forbidden archeology, Bigfoot, ghosts, technology, time travel, psychic anomalies, and advanced weaponry (particularly in space, in the Earth, and war crime activities on the surface. But that in no way begins to account for the entire mystery that encompasses extraterrestrial and time traveling elements.
