(Democracy Now!) June 11, 2024: DN! speaks with Jewish U.S. Army Major Harrison Mann, the first military and intelligence officer to publicly resign over the Biden administration's support for Israel's genocide during its war on Gaza and Palestine.
Major Mann left his role at the Defense Intelligence Agency after a 13-year career, saying in a public letter explaining his resignation that "nearly unqualified support for the government of Israel…has enabled and empowered the killing and starvation of tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians."
Major Mann submitted his resignation on Nov. 1, just over three weeks into Israel's invasion of and assault on Gaza, but his separation from the military became effective last week.
"Even in the first weeks after October 7…it was really clear that they [Zionist Jewish Israelis] were prepared to inflict huge numbers of civilian [Palestinian] casualties," Major Mann tells Democracy Now!
"I understood that every day that I was going to go into the office, I was going to be contributing to the [genocidal] Israeli campaign."
Major Mann also explains how his Jewish background impacted his decision to resign, saying that while he was proud to wear the same uniform of soldiers who liberated Nazi concentration camps during World War II, it was "impossible" not to see echoes of the Holocaust in [Israel's] devastation of Gaza.
"Seeing photos of charred [human] bodies and burnt corpses and starved, emaciated children that are from 2023, 2024, not the '40s, it's impossible not to make that connection," says Major Mann.
"The situations are not perfectly analogous, but the moral similarities were very clear to me." [Nazis are known by their behavior not just their race, yet in this case, both are Germanic whites killing people they regard as dispensable.]

Miss Universe Organization owns Miss USA and Miss USA Teen. The organization shared similar messages after Voight and Srivastava’s resignations, thanking them for their “service,” and that it “respects and supports” the pageant queen’s decision.
The organization did not comment on Lemus’ resignation.

Savannah Gankiewicz, former Miss Hawaii USA and first runner-up in the 2023 Miss USA competition, took over Voigt’s position, but said she stands in solidarity with the initial winner.

Miss USA Noelia Voigt, 24, has announced she is relinquishing her Miss USA crown and throne to preserve her mental health.
The beauty pageant winner, who was awarded the prestigious title Sept. 29, 2023, in Reno Tahoe, announced her decision to step down today (May 6, 2024) on Instagram, which is encoded with message "I am silenced." (See below).
“My journey as Miss USA has been incredibly meaningful, representing Utah with pride, and later the USA at Miss Universe (held in November),”
Voigt said in the lengthy statement posted to her account. “Sadly, I have made the very tough decision to resign from the title of Miss USA 2023.” USA TODAY has reached out to the pageant for comment.

Older women are led to believe that dating will be a lot easier as they get older, since they now "know their worth," have tons of experience with guys, and know exactly what they want and what they don't want. But the reality is not only are these absolutely not the things that men are looking for. Then these women add even more traits and requirements to the mix that make it virtually impossible for them to ever be happy with any prospect they meet. See, Doggone, the thing is, you're "efforting." You're trying to muscle it. It doesn't work that way. It just doesn't. But a fool who persists in his folly, there's something to be said for that. While there is a debate between low carb and high carb (and one should definitely be low carb), the thing that deserves the most attention is quitting sugar. We need to cut out refined sugars (white sugar, commercial brown sugar, corn syrup, beet sugar) and processed foods.
It is a surefire way to improve health and regulate weight. The mindset and approach of understanding how and why bad habits like sugar addiction develop can be applied to breaking all sorts of addictions like smoking, which is also a sugar addiction because tobacco leaves are cured in sugar.

UPDATE: Bernie stays in the campaign all the way to Pennsylvania for the DNC (Democratic National Convention). Whatever he might have said to anyone -- Clinton or Obama or those around him -- he instead stayed on track. The revolutionary train is going to take it all the way. Plan B? Same as Plan A!

It is becoming increasingly clear that Hillary Rodham Clinton has stolen the primary election and will now face The Donald alone. At 10:00 pm election night (June 7th), Sen. Bernie Sanders is expected to give a concession speech.
The Democratic Party has done enough to throw the California election in Clinton's favor, exactly eight years after she conceded to Wall Street candidate Barack H. Obama the last time around. Sanders will speak in Santa Monica, but it was by keeping out independents (decline to state voters) that the establishment sabotaged the democratic process that would have put Sanders over the top at least in this state.
Clinton won New Jersey and, moreover, the Associated Press, which put her on the cover of news websites and newspapers across the planet by calling the election in her favor BEFORE anyone voted, claiming to have spoken to superdelegates and asking them how they were going to vote in the future, not how they had voted. Therefore, if Sanders concedes, he is doing so prematurely without her having won, contradicting his promises that he would stay in all the way to the contested Democratic National Convention.
Nominally "Republican" D. J. Trump will begin to lay down the boom on Clinton next Tuesday when he releases what he knows about her crimes and misdemeanors. While no one likes Trump -- unless Sanders accepts Green candidate Dr. Jill Stein's offer to join her ticket -- this editorial group will be forced to back the more entertaining and less evil candidate.
