Watching child porn in seminary (video)

Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly (REPORTING)
WATCH: "Red Hot Catholic Love" (full episode) about priests and boys they love.

In a remarkable revelation, a fugitive LAUSD substitute teacher, who is wanted in connection with lewd acts in school with children, originally trained to be a Catholic priest.

It was during his time in seminary (divinity school, priest college) that he was introduced to child pornography, he explained. The students, future priests, would gather together to watch them. After a year and a half, he began to like it so much that he had grave doubts about becoming a priest after all.

He voiced his concerns to seminary administrators, who advised him to leave the seminary and go be a teacher. As a teacher he would have ready access to children, and not being a priest, he could do what he liked.

One Catholic's review of "Red Hot Catholic Love"

This is the story, as explained by Los Angeles police today, of George Hernandez (shown below in sinister grainy black and white courtesy of KTLA). He was questioned for his third incident of molesting at LAUSD, resigned, was arrested, and is now free as a fugitive (thought to have left the country).
He was teaching in the Inglewood Unified School District in "South Central" when the LAPD "found" a videotape of him molesting a 2nd-grader, after having investigated him for flashing. He fled after being charged. Parents are outraged that they are only now finding out.

This is making news because it is part of a growing line of child molesters working not only for the Catholic Church but the Los Angeles Unified School District as well. Not since the infamous McMartin preschool trial introduced to the systematic (Satanic ritual) sexual abuse of children been in the public eye.

Official Catholic complicity in sex crimes

What is most alarming about this is that it suggests that child molestation is not an anomaly within the Catholic Church; instead, it is a functional part of it, something taught, something promised for service to God's enduring ministry on Earth.

This was explored more deeply (and derisively) in an episode of South Park when child molestation grows so rampant that the local Catholic priest feels compelled to go to the Vatican to report it and seek guidance.

There he finds that far from an American aberration, molesting kids (particularly little boys by male priests) is one of the greatest perks about becoming a priest, bishop, or Church official. And that it is this way by Church doctrine, which cannot be questioned or altered. To do so might displease God and ruin the Church's very profitable structure.

WARNING: profanity! South Park creators explain.

Jesus (Zeus' son according to St. Constantine, as Dannion Brinkley explains) is a wonderful God, surrounded by beautiful myths, origin stories, and Buddhist imagery. He is known as St. Issa to very Jewish-friendly Tibetan Buddhists, Isa to Muslims who also revere him as a prophet, and central to astrotheology.

He (or any sect built around him) deserves better than this. The Buddhist monasticism Christianity/Catholicism borrowed (there being no precedent of such an institution or practice in Judaism) has gone completely wrong. It is difficult enough in Buddhism with all the safeguards, monastic disciplinary (Vinaya) rules, and democratic governing procedures the Buddha instituted.
Man takes revenge on priest who molested him
A California man will stand trial for allegedly beating up a Catholic priest he claims molested him more than three decades ago. William Lynch, 43, smiled in his mugshot last October as he was arrested on suspicion of assault [for an] attack...at a retirement home in Los Gatos [which] sent the Rev. Jerold Lindner to the hospital with bruises and lacerations. Lynch harbored a fantasy for years of confronting the priest, who also allegedly molested Lynch's little brother and up to a dozen others.
