[Bell may not have invented all of the components of the phone or even be the one who came up with the idea, but he is the one who gets all the credit for being the first to get a patent for a two-way transmitter-receiver that now rules our lives due to corporations like Apple and its line of iPhones. A TikToker who previously claimed to be a "time traveler from the Year 2671" has now warned that a real-life "Purge" will take place in October of this year, following a global power outage.

Eno Alaric, who is also known as @radianttimetraveller on TikTok, has gained more than 26,000 followers for posting warnings about supposed future events.

The social media user has previously issued warnings about twin planets colliding with Earth, alien visitors, and even the start of World War III. [Stay afraid because fear, a form of hate (dosa or aversion), is a motivation for self-defeating karma.]

The self-professed time-warper's latest baffling claim is that he has a list of catastrophic events coming in October this year: He warns it will be a month that "makes history."

In the video, which has gained more than 2,200 likes, Alaric explained:

"ATTENTION! Yes, I am a real-time traveler. These are the major events to come in October 2023. October is considered one of the most impactful months in history, due to many of these events.

• "October 3: An alien ship falls to Earth during a large meteor shower, containing hostile species. This alien escapes the pod as soon as it lands and begins to wreak havoc on large cities.
• "October 7: The James Webb Telescope sees a giant space creature eating stars. It will come to our solar system and eat the Sun next, and it could eliminate all life near it.
• "October 15: A human-like species is discovered inside of Mount Everest, with an entire civilization. They have telepathic abilities and want to control humans, they'll do anything for power.

We can live wisely only when we accept the reality of change. Where I lived as a [Theravada] Buddhist monk, impermanence was central to the curriculum. We deliberately contemplated change, our moods, the seasons, the passing of visitors, our aging, and the movement of our breath until we could see life as an unstoppable river. When Zen [M]aster Shunryu Suzuki was asked to sum up all Buddhist teaching he offered this simple phrase: “Not always so.”

Indeed, it was in the forest monastery that I began to taste the beauty of change [like the disgrace of my student Noah Levine and the demise of Against the Stream Meditation Society in L.A. because of Noah Levine's sex scandal, whom Spirit Rock co-investigated when sexual misconduct allegations against him surfaced] and transformation. I remember how vividly mindfulness practice awakened my senses. I grew up in a suburban intellectual family, and the outdoors meant the backyard. But in the monastery, the temple buildings were in a central clearing, surrounded by towering teak trees and tropical vines, by thick woods filled with wild birds and cobras. Our small huts were scattered throughout this forest.

In this forest I learned to feel the turning of the seasons, the sweaty robes and loud singing of the cicadas on hot summer nights, the muddy feet and endless dampness of the monsoon rains, the dry winds of the cool season when I would wrap my towel under my robe for an extra layer of warmth. This was the first time I could actually watch the slowly changing phases of the moon and the appearance of morning and evening planets at dawn and dusk. I came to love these rhythms.

Bringing Home the Dharma

Now I bow to change everywhere. I have learned to be gracious with it. Of course like everyone I have suffered my losses, deaths of dear ones, divorce, and certain failures. With compassion and clarity, we can see that every one of us participates in the constant cycles of life’s change and renewal, seasons of grief and suffering, as well as seasons of joy, celebrating life’s renewed marvels and beauty.

BIOGRAPHY

Jack Kornfield trained as a Buddhist monk in the Theravada Buddhist monasteries of Thailand, India, and Burma. He has taught meditation internationally since 1974 and is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice (vipassana) to the West.

After graduating from Dartmouth College in Asian Studies in 1967, he joined the Peace Corps and worked on tropical medicine teams in the Mekong River Valley. He met and studied as a monk under the Buddhist master Ven. Ajahn Chah, as well as the Ven. Mahasi Sayadaw of Burma. Returning to the United States, Kornfield co-founded the Insight Meditation Society (dharma.org) in Barre, Massachusetts, with fellow meditation teachers Sharon Salzberg and Joseph Goldstein and the Spirit Rock Center (spiritrock.org) in Woodacre, California. Over the years he has taught in centers and universities worldwide, led International Buddhist Teacher meetings, and worked with many of the great teachers of our time. He holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is a father, husband, and radical Bay Area peace activist.

His books have been translated into 20 languages and sold more than a million copies. Pulitzer: Kendrick Lamar wins, Kanye loses!

Today, rapper Kendrick Lamar became the first musician (neither classical nor jazz) to ever win a Pulitzer Prize for Music. Kanye West feels jilted and jealous, as he considers himself the greatest rapper who ever lived. Winner Lamar is from Compton, which is in South Central Los Angeles, which makes this a win for the Westside! Lamar has topped the charts with music that tackles issues of race, politics, religion, and even mental health.

The Pulitzer follows the five Grammy Awards won by Lamar in January for “DAMN.,” his fourth studio album. His previous album, “To Pimp a Butterfly,” also won five Grammys. Lamar recently produced and curated the soundtrack for the movie “Black Panther” to critical acclaim. Project Camelot (PC) met Jessica Schab at the NEXUS Conference in Australia in October 2008. She was in tears at the end of PC presentation and said that she had to talk. A young Australian had seen her YouTube post and sponsored her trip from Vancouver, B.C. to Brisbane, Australia.

Realizing that it might be interesting and valuable to many, PC interviewed her as a "crystal child," a witness representing a new and very awakened generation. Like others (indigo children, starseeds, etc.) she is well informed, deeply concerned about world events, and very aware of the need for humankind to grow spiritually in order to transcend the problems we face together.
